IRecruitment - Vacancy to Selected Departments

Hi,
1)Our requirement is, manager is creating the vacancy and in the same page, manager has to select the departments, so that this vacancy is posted to only selected departments. Only the employees from the selected department are eligible to apply for this vacancy. I think, the standard functionality is "all the employees in the organization are eligible to apply by default". How can I achieve this?
2) I believe the security methods (Team, Business and Team and Public) are used for managing vacancy details and not related to applying for this vacancy (Say, for Exa: If I am selecting security method as "Team" and giving 10 people in the recruiting team. Whether only these 10 people are eligible to apply for this vacancy? Pls correct me if I am wrong.

But I think you can achieve this by doing a little customization. Like adding a flex field to choose departments and then customizing(Extending VO, that list available vacancies) using the flexfield information..

i find 'iRecruitment Vacancy Approval' is not found in Approval Process Setup.
2:when i click Approvals Management Administrator respsonbility. it get errors:

Posting the Irecruitment Vacancy to Third Party bayt

Error while updating the Vacancy in irecruitment Module

Hi,
When updating the existing vacancy in the irecruitment module, we are getting the following error.
Error: The HR Object is invalid Cause: The HR Object which is attempted to be locked is inconsistent with the corresponding object in the HR Shema. Action: Retry the action.
Kindly let me know the solution if any one come accross this kind of error message.

This problem typically occurs when someone else has updated the same record in between the first person requesting it and it being approved. For example, the following scenario would cause this problem:
1) Vacancy IRC12345 is at version 2.
2) User A requests an update to this vacancy through iRecruitment, which is sent for approval.
3) Meanwhile, while User A's update is pending, User B goes into PUI and updates the same vacancy and saves. The version for IRC12345 goes to version 3.
4) User A's request is then approved. However, when it tries to save the changes it fails with this error because it thinks it's at version 2 when it's actually at version 3. The reason for the error is to preserve data integrity and prevent users overriding each other's changes.
The 'version' referred to here is actually the object_version_number column on the per_all_vacancies table. In practice, updating a vacancy is more complicated than this because it actually updates multiple tables (requisition, vacancy, recruitment activity, etc). So the error may not necessarily refer to the per_all_vacancies table itself but rather any of the tables updated during iRecruitment vacancy update.
Could it be possible that a professional user updated the vacancy (or any part of it) through the forms-based interface? What were the changes that were being made? Had applicants already applied for this vacancy, ie, would the vacancy update also have triggered an update to all applicant assignments? If so, perhaps it was one of the applicant's that was updated in PUI.
Hopefully that gives you some pointers.

IRecruitment Create Vacancy Approval Notifications

Hi,
I have a client that wishes me to modify the content of the Approval Notification/Message sent to the approver. Is this possible and how to you do it?
In the User Guide it mentions using Application Developer and changing the messages but it is very limited and does not allow me to change this particular message.
I have looked at the workflow 'HRSS' but it uses the generic approvals workflow but I can't see how it generates the message. It mentions in the User Guide to use XML and business events but again gives very little detail.
Can anyone provide more information on how to do this?

but due to this change the approval is going to be in the sequential direction, for example APPROVER 1, APPROVER 2,3,4 then HEAD OF HR1,2 instead we need who ever approve first then it goes to 2nd level and approved by one of the head of hr as I mentioned above. Kindly tell me this action type I am using for this is correct or should we need to create another action type or should we need to amend approver group SQL statement or any other way which we can acheive the desired goal. IRecruitment Create Vacancy Approval need to change

Hi All,
I need to change the approval style of Create Vacancy, currently it is configured as follows
1. Approver 1 approves the vacancy
2 . Approver 2 Finally approves the vacancy after approver 1.
Now the change is the on level 1 we need to four approver who ever first approve the vacancy it goes to level 2 and on this level there would be two approvers whoever approves the vacancy no need for all in both level.
kindly tell me how can I configure Rules , Attributes, Conditions , actions and approver groups in AME business Analyst Resp.

Approvers are not visible in an Replacement Vacancy

Im trying to create a replacement vacancy for which the approvers are not not visible. The issue is not existing for new vacancies?
Can anyone please help ?

What do you mean by a replacement vacancy?...a duplicated vacancy?
i.e. iRecruitment Recruiter > iRecruitment Home > Vacancies (tab) > Search Vacancy > Duplicate button?
The standard rule 'iRecruitment Create Vacancy' will add approvers on both create new vacancy and duplicate vacancy.
Therefore it is likely that there is something in your config e.g. AME rule, Form Function Parameters, Workflow, OAF customizations that is stopping this occuring.
I would start with the AME rule.
Go to Approvals Management Business Analyst and select the "iRecruitment Vacancy Approval" transaction type.
Use the "Test Workbench" to see what attribute values are being set / rules applied for a duplicate vacancy transaction.

ADF Tree with Boolean Check Box: How to find selected items

ADF: 11.1.1.5.0
WLS: 10.3.6
I am using an ADF Tree which contains elements at two levels (say Departments and Employees). My requirement is to give provision for user to select Departments and Employees using the check boxes. User should be able to select what ever Departments he/she likes and what ever employees he/she likes. There should not be a provision to select Employee with out selecting the corresponding Department (root node in the tree).
I am facing the below issues while trying to implement this use case:
1. Always, only the first master record will be expanded by default (I am using "Display Row" property value as "default" and "ExpandAllEnabled" as "true"). My need is to expand all the master records by default. So that user need not explicitly expand each master record node and then select the associated child records.
2. Currently, I am using value change listener associated to af:selectBooleanCheckBox to identify the Departments and Employee records that have been selected. Since not all departments (masters) are expanded by default, if user selects the check box of department (master) and then expands the department node, automatically all the employees of that department are selected. But, this event is not triggering the value change listener for the employee records. Because of this, after a department node is selected and then expanded, all the child elements' check boxes are selected but the events are not generated. Hence, I am not able to capture the selection of employee records.
To summarize,
1. Please let me know how to expand all master nodes in af:Tree by default.
2. Please let me know the best approach to identify the selected items (both master and detail items) in the af:Tree component using af:selectBooleanCheckBox.

Performance Issue With Displaying Candidate Details for iRecruitment

We are in EBS R12.1.3 when we trying to display the Candidate Details page in iRecruitment iRecruitment >vacancies>applicants> click on applicant> the page spins for a quite whille to show the results and some times we see the 500 errors..
We are in R12.1.3 and also applied the Patch.10427777:R12.IRC.B patch.. is there any tunnign steps for the iRecruitment page=/oracle/apps/irc/candidateSearch/webui/CmAplSrchPG

Updation of Column according to the selection of Combo Columnn of Matrix.

Hii Experts,
              I have a matrix with two columns.
              First column is a combobox & validvalues are "Departmental,Contractor"
              Now I want that if one choose Departmental in 1st column then one could not write anything to 2nd column but in case of Contractor ,one can write to 2nd column.
              But I could not Disable 2nd column because One can choose Departmental in row 1 & Contractor in row 2.
so this is the situation,How I should handle it?

This is basically the same. I can;t write out the exact code right now, so I will give you the algorithm I would use:
1. User selects combobox in column 1
2. User clicks on or moves focus on column 2 -> Check have they selected Departmental; if Yes allow event to continue (BubbleEvent = true). if No block the event (BubbleEvent = false) and click column 3 - therefore the cursor will be in the correct field
3. User clicks on or moves focus on column 3 -> Check have they selected Contractor; if Yes allow event to continue (BubbleEvent = true). if No block the event (BubbleEvent = false) and click column 2 - therefore the cursor will be in the correct field
Important to note, that for each step above I am working within the row level. I am only blocking or allowing the event on row x based on the selected value in column 1 of row x.

IRecruitment batch posting to DICE

Hi,
Dice doesn't accept HTML tags as part of the job description and job requirements, for reqs posted via batch files.
Has any one developed a solution for batch file posting or any other type of posting to DICE using Oracle iRecruitment vacancy information? If so, please respond.

How to get all checked values from a chaeck box

my question is when i check more than one option
i can not get that value.
How is it possible to see all the values of the check box that are checked ?

Do you have to have checkboxes? Can you use a multiselect list instead?
If you can, then the following excerpt from the user guide may help you:

XML Parsing Error: no element found In BI Publisher

I tried to get XML output for a Data Model which was based on SQL queries.
But I got the following error in Firefox

I use 11g.
I tried to create element link when I got this error.
Now I am using groupink.
Without using bind variable I got result (Cartesian product)
However if i created and used bind variable I got the same error

Strange error in JDeveloper 11.1.1.0 Technology Preview 4

If I build new JSF page and drag and drop Departments to show as read only table when run page I show the Table without data but only statement

Note1: This error happen in all application created in Jdev 11g TP4 I have Jdev 10g and it is working perfect.

Hi Frank,
I unzip Jdev 11g in C:\jdevstudio1111
and the workspace in C:\jdevstudio1111\mywork\FrameworksJulAug2008
no space in the path of Jdev and the application
I think it is strange error i format my machine for this error but i did not resolve the problem.
maybe the problem in some environment variables.
