Is "2013-08" the latest REST API version or is the documentation outdated?

I'm wondering if the Azure Notification Hubs REST API documentation is
still correct and up-to-date or if there is already a newer API version than "2013-08" that can be used.
All the single pages show "Updated: February 26, 2015", but I guess it was just a meta data update of all the pages, since the API version didn't change,
it's still "2013-08". Is this intentional because the API didn't change or was it forgotten to update the API version?
Here (and here)
is an example for the REST API usage from Elio Damaggio which uses "2013-10" as the api version. I tried all possible api version values in the format "yyyy-mm" from "2013-10" to "2015-03" and the following
were working: "2013-10", "2014-01", "2014-05", "2014-08", "2014-09", "2015-01". Are there actual changes to the API and if so, aren't they officially supported or what is the reason for the
old API version in the documentation?
Is the API version "2015-01" officially supported and can I find the documentation for it or am I stuck with API version "2013-08"? Or
aren't there any changes worth updating the documentation?
Moreover the documentation for "Read All Registrations of a Channel" states to use
following request URI, which doesn't work: https://{namespace}.servicebus.windows.net/{NotificationHub}/registrations/?$filter=DeviceToken eq ‘{deviceToken}’&api-version=2013-08
Even more confusing, the german version uses double quotes, which doesn't work either: https://{Namespace}.servicebus.windows.net/{Benachrichtigungshub}/registrations/?$filter=DeviceToken
eq "{Gerätetoken}"&api-version=2013-08
I found out that the correct request URI must be like this to work: https://{namespace}.servicebus.windows.net/{NotificationHub}/registrations/?$filter=DeviceToken+eq+'{deviceToken}'&api-version=2013-08 ,
so + instead of spaces and '' (apostrophe / straight single quote - U+0027) instead of ‘’ (single curved quotation marks - U+2018 and U+2019) or "" (straight double quote - U+0022), e.g. https://myServiceBusNamespace.servicebus.windows.net/myHub/registrations/?$filter=DeviceToken+eq+'2ED202AC08EA9033665E853A3DC8BC4C5E78F7A6CF8D55910DF230567037DCC4'&api-version=2013-08
Is the documentation just wrong by mistake or is it not up-to-date? How are people even using the REST API without a 100% correct documentation? Is
there something I am missing? Do you get a manual when you buy a Azure Notification Hubs subscription or is the REST API not even supported officially?

The latest version is 2015-01. All or most of features works with starting version 2013-08.
Version in documentation indicates that minimum version required for working that feature. Hence, all documentation is pointing to 2013-08.
You should do the URL encoding before making http request. Otherwise special characters such as blanks and punctuation are passed in an HTTP stream without encoding, they might be misinterpreted. Hence your request failed due to space. You can use the following
method to do the URL encoding.

Yes, REST API is fully supported. May be there could be few gaps or bugs. We are putting constant efforts to fix all bugs as we find and improve it further.

  • InfoPath 2013 Read SharePoint 2013 File data using Rest API Access Denied Exception

    I am designing a set of Forms and they need to query Data from among themselves.
    The whole set up described below works in the Form Filler/Preview
    I'll call them Form A and Form B
    Form A has a repeating table that needs to be displayed in Form B
    The user selects from a DropDown in Form B an Instance of Form A, using the selected I REST connection is executed so the Form A xml is available inside Form B. The connection is set up as follows:
    _api/web/lists/ListName/Items(SelectedId)/File/$value
    I publish the form as site content type, add it to a library, after triggering the REST connection I get an error. ULS gives me a 401 Access denied for NT Authority\IUSR (as it should since I don't have anonymous access enabled [nor has that solved the issue])
    That's my issue. All requests on the REST api are being executed as anonymous and not as a user that should have permission.
    Things I've tried:
    1. The connection uses a UDCX file, the conenction is set to use the form server proxy. The proxy has been enabled for the Form Services, web application and user connection. I've tried it with a configured App ID or an Explicit account
    2. I've tried enabling Anonymous access, but have had no success
    3. I've gotten the Query to work on Post Backs by adding the following to the web.config:
    <location path="_layouts/15/Postback.FormServer.aspx">
        <system.web>
          <identity impersonate="false" userName="bhs\sp_admin_dev" password="M1crosoft" />
        </system.web>
      </location>
    And while it solves the issue for Postback requests and I could add FormServer.aspx to the list I can't use this solution for a production environment, nor can I predict other issues that could be caused by the change.
    I haven't been able to find any references to this error so I wonder if I'm doing something wrong or if there's another way to do this.
    If I've been unclear on anything, let me know and I'll try to clear it up.

    Hi Choggo,
    thank you for your information,
    regarding this issue, it seems we may need to debug and trace your network, to check if should the parameter that is used for the REST connection is correct.
    i checked with infopath team members regarding this issue, they suggest that you try with impersonation, so that the user that login is not anonymous, but the user that you already been assign with.
    the last suggestions from our sharepoint team members that we are able to do, as we have limited tools on this forum support, that you need to check the file udcx itself, do the permission to access that file is correct, so for example, if the file is not
    having the permission to be read/access then the system may result with anonymous account, so that we may have the result that the data that should be passed are able to accessed.
    if should this suggestion not applicable to your environment, our sharepoint team members suggest that you to open an incident ticket, so that we can check and re-confirm more deep for you if should this is an undocumented feature or not.  the action
    plans is to have a remote session, then we can trace the data passing process, that is already correct, so that the IUSR is not appear when it authenticate.

  • Error: Could not find DI API version 8.8 PL17 or higher.

    Hello,
    I'm trying to install the integration component to SAP B1 8.8 PL 14, and halfway through it's giving me the following error,
    "Could not find DI API version 8.8 PL 17 or higher"
    I was wondering, how do I find the Patch Level 17 for the DI API?
    PS. I tried doing what it says in the installation guide, but it didn't help update me to the required version --> "To install the latest di api version, in the select components window of the sap b1 di api installshield wizard, deselect the di api previous versions checkbox"

    Thanks Eddy,
    I installed patch level SAP B1 PL18, and was able to get the version of DI API they were requesting. Now, when I'm in step 3/5 of the event sender, I get the following error when I click "test connection":
    "Servlet B1iXcellerator is not available"
    how do I go about correcting this?

  • NetWeaver IdM 8.0 connection to Exchange 2013 in the cloud

    Hello,
    We are implementing IdM 8.0 where the original scope included provisioning accounts to Exchange 2010.  However, a parallel project migrating from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013 in the cloud is now occurring at the same time as the IdM implementation.  Does anyone know if IdM (even in 7.2) was able to connect to and provision exchange accounts to Exchange 2013?  The documentation I've located only discusses Exchange 2007 and 2010.
    Thanks!
    Brendan

    Hi Brendan,
    It seems that our DEV team haven't tested the direct integration with 2013.
    I spoke with a colleague that is using 2013 but with inderect integration. That means that they have connected the IDM to the Active Directory and then there is a script that does the rest.
    We will plan to test the direct integration but currently we are overbooked with development tasks.

  • Any reason for more push from MS for Client OM and REST API during the SP 2013 portal solution dev

    hi,
     Would like to know, why Microsoft has put more emphasis on Client OM and REST API in SP 2013 portal solutions dev.
    Is there any prticular reason for this.If we develop our solutions in Server Object  Model any performance/scalability related issues would be appearing in the near future , once i "Go Live" of my portal ?
    Any indications given by MS saying, "we  wont allow ISV/vendors/ to build  server object model based solutions in the near future".

    The real question might be "how long will there be an on premise version of SharePoint?" or "will we move our SharePoint to the cloud in the future?" There is an obvious push to the cloud for SharePoint. While all indications point to at least one more on
    premise version of SharePoint, as a best practice any code you develop should run in both environments, and that will limit you to the new app model.
    As far as performance, traditional server side code runs on the web front end servers. Any poorly performing code would have a negative impact on the servers and users. Therefore, performance/scalability is up to the skills of the developer. The primary
    change around the app model is to move all custom code off of the web front ends and onto the client or other servers (via web services). Using the app model you can scale the app servers as needed separately from the "SharePoint" servers. (and of course,
    your code would might still work if your SharePoint environment later moves to the cloud.)

  • How to retrieve the users that are following a document using JSOM / REST APIs in SharePoint 2013

    Hi everyone,
    Does anyone know how to use JSOM / REST APIs to retrieve the users that are following a specific document in SharePoint 2013?
    Thanks in advance,
    Nam

    Hi Nam,
    Please use the sample code to get the followers for the document. Courtesy: Mokhtar
    Bepari
    using Microsoft.SharePoint.Client;
    using Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.Social;
    ClientContext clientContext = new ClientContext("http://URL");
    SocialFollowingManager followingManager = new SocialFollowingManager(clientContext);
    SocialActorInfo actorInfo = new SocialActorInfo();
    actorInfo.ContentUri = "<documenturl>"; //set the document url.
    actorInfo.ActorType = SocialActorType.Document;
    //By using the GetFollowed method you can get the people who the current user is following.
    ClientResult < SocialActor[] > followedResult = followingManager.GetFollowed(SocialActorTypes.Users);
    //By using the GetFollowers() method you can get the people who are following the current user.
    ClientResult < SocialActor[] > followersResult = followingManager.GetFollowers();
    clientContext.ExecuteQuery();
    Once you get the resultset you can iterate like below:
    foreach(SocialActor actor in followedResult)
    string name = actor.Name;
    string imageURL = actor.ImageUri;

  • Get the item level permission in sharepoint 2013 uisng rest api

    I created the test list  and i created the 5 items in that list.
    I stopped the item level permissions.
    I shared the list item with userA.
    In the rest api response, it giving the other users also (means user who is not having permission to the item).
    I am using below rest query
    /_api/Web/GetFileByServerRelativeUrl('/site/Lists/test/1_.000')?$expand=Versions,Author,ModifiedBy,ListItemAllFields/RoleAssignments/Member/Users,ListItemAllFields/FieldValuesAsText,ListItemAllFields/ParentList

    Hi,
    Following are the steps, I performed:
    After adding the item in the list, I went into list item permissions and clicked on stop item permissions. Then I selected all the permissions which got carried over to the item and clicked on "Remove user permissions" in the ribbon. After that
    I clicked on Grant permissions in the ribbon and shared the item with one user. Note that last action can also be performed by going back into the list and selecting the item and click on Share.
    Finally, I ran the above REST query and returned the user with whom the item was selected and also the system account (which is expected, as admin will have access.
    You can try shortening your query as well
     /_api/Web/GetFileByServerRelativeUrl('/site/Lists/test/1_.000')?$expand=ListItemAllFields/RoleAssignments/Member/Users
    This will return the relevant user permissions and response will contain lesser data and hence will be easier to read. Lastly, try intercepting the traffic
    using fiddler, as again it will in reading the response.
    Thanks,
    Nadeem

  • How to import the JSON data that comes from REST API into Excel 2013?

    HI,
    Is there a way to import the JSON data that REST API returns into Excel 2013? If so how?
    Could you please let me know this?
    If you need to know any more info please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Vinay

    I got this. We need to use power query add in for this.
    EXCEL 2013 -> POWER QUERY -> From Web
    Enter the URL for the REST end point and click ok. Power Query editor will show up with the URL and list of your data.
    click on the list -> Right click->drill down
    You will see the no of records the API returned.
    Right Click on List in that table -> To Table and say ok in the next dialog.
    On the displayed columns, there will be a double sided arrow, click on that and select the rows you want to import.
    There you go. You will all the data.
    Click on Apply and close. This will import the data into your excel file.

  • Push Notification Urban Airship latest API version

    I'm using most of the Push Notification code from the article below to enable sending Push Notification and it’s currently working fine.
    However, I got an email from Urban Airship that they released V3 of Push API last 7/22. Looking at the code in the article, it seems like it still using some of the API that will be deprecated on the new version. So I tried updating the code and followed the Urban Airship's documentation (see link below) because there are updates on the payload for sending broadcast push and broadcast API will be included in the push API. I tried the code below, but always getting an error.

  • Azure Rest API PUT Block Blob Returns "The specified resource does not exist" CORS

    I am trying to upload a file to Azure Blob storage. For some reason when I try to put a new block blob on in the storage it tells me the resource does not exist. I am sure it is something silly I am missing.
    According to the documentation:
    The Put Blob operation creates a new block blob or page blob, or updates the content of an existing block blob. Updating an existing block blob overwrites any existing metadata on the blob. Partial updates are not supported with Put Blob; the content of the
    existing blob is overwritten with the content of the new blob. To perform a partial update of the content of a block blob, use the Put Block List (REST API) operation.
    CORS is setup and that seems okay.

  • How to filter the Rest Api data based on Taxanomy columns

    Hi Everyone,
    We are using SharePoint2010 Standard Edition.
    I wanted get the library details through REST Api. I am using as below:
    https://SiteUrl/_vti_bin/listdata.svc/Documents?$filter=Title eq 'SharePointDoc'
    Here I am able to get the info regarding "SharePointDoc". But when I am trying to get the details from Taxonomy filter, it didn't.
    Can anyone please tell me how can we filter based on Taxanomy fields.
    Thanks in Advance
    Krishnasandeep

    Hi,
    I understand that you wanted to filter the Rest Api data based on Taxanomy columns.
    Per my knowledge, in SharePoint 2010 , not all types of column are available via REST, most annoyingly managed metadata columns are amongst this group of unsupported column types.
    However, in SharePoint 2013, we can filter list items based on taxonomy (managed metadata) columns.
    Taxonomy fields can be now called via REST API using CAML query in REST calls.
    Here is a great blog for your reference:
    http://www.cleverworkarounds.com/2013/09/23/how-to-filter-on-a-managed-metadata-column-via-rest-in-sharepoint-2013/comment-page-1/
    You’d better to change the REST calls and the CAML query to check whether it works in SharePoint 2010.

  • Document Set Creation in document library using REST API in Sharepoint 2013

    Hi,
    I want to create the document set using REST API call. Currently i am able to create the folder and able to upload the files using REST API's in the document library. Is there any way we can pass the contentype name or Id and create the document set using
    REST API call. We need to create the document set along with metadata and upload the files inside the document set.
    I need to create the document set along with meta data column values using REST API. Please let me know how we can achieve this through REST API.
    Thank you,
    Mylsamy

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to create document set along with managed metadata fields.
    The REST API does not currently support working with Managed Metadata or Taxonomy fields.
    As a workaround, we can use the JavaScript Client Object Model.
    Create document set using JavaScript Client Object Model.

        urlOfAttachment = appWebUrl + "/_api/web/lists/GetByTitle('" + listName + "')/items(" + listItem + ")/AttachmentFiles/add(FileName='" + fileName + "')"
        // use the request executor (cross domain library) to perform the upload
        var reqExecutor = new SP.RequestExecutor(appWebUrl);
        reqExecutor.executeAsync({
            url: urlOfAttachment,
            method: "POST",
            headers: {
                "Accept": "application/json; odata=verbose",
