Extensions are supported in CS3, the page listed was likely
produced before the purchase of Macromedia by Adobe and hasn't been
updated. Documentation for DWCS3 (although I think that this may be
updated to CS4 references only at some point):

Adobe AIR 1.5.2 Extension for Dreamweaver CS3
I downloaded what I thought to be the updated version of Adobe AIR Extension for Dreamweaver CS3 for the new AIR 1.5.2 release, but it looks like the extension (Adobe_AIR_CS3.mxp) is still the 2008 version (exactly the same file size, and Dreamweaver overwrites the version number I manually input ("1.5.2") in the Adobe AIR configuration file with "1.5".
Attention Dreamweaver and Adobe AIR teams: when will the extension be updated for AIR version 1.5.2?

After spending 4-5 months learning experimenting with CS3, now I am at page# 514 (Dreamweaver CS3) under the heading:
Database connections for PHP developers.
Further down it says that uder DW only MySQL is supported for PHP development.
I am wondering if there is any extensions to support PostgreSQL? If not my goose is cooked!!!!To the best of my knowledge there are no extensions supporting PostreSQL in Dreamweaver. When the Dreamweaver server behaviors were developed, all database connections in PHP were done through database-specific functions. MySQL is the most popular database used in conjunction with PHP, so that was chosen. PHP now supports database-neutral functionality through PDO, but it's not supported by Dreamweaver. If you would like to see PDO supported in Dreamweaver, submit a feature request through the form at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform.
Your comment that your goose is cooked suggests that you were planning to rely on Dreamweaver doing all the coding for you. That's a common mistake. The server behaviors speed up coding, but should not be relied upon as a substitute for coding knowledge. Learning how to code PHP yourself will take time, but in the end it will be time well spent. You can save frequently used code in the Snippets panel. -
Questions regarding Adobe Reader Extensions for Adobe Livecycle.
Hi,
I'm relatively new to Adobe products, having just started to use Adobe Livecycle over the last couple of weeks. I've produced a set of interactive forms for field engineers to use. When completed, they will submit the xml data via email. However, there will be numerous occasions where they will need to stop in the middle of data collection and come back at a later point to finish, hence the need to locally save the information before submission.
I understand this is where Adobe reader extensions would come in, unlocking this functionality.
At the moment, i'm a bit of a loss on several points regarding how reader extensions work and i was wondering if anybody could fill in the gaps:
1. Are they seperate modules that bolt in into the main Livecycle application?
2. As these forms will be used off line, i would like to set the permissions to the pdf locally. From what i read, Reader Extensions is a server product. Is this correct, or can i use Reader Extensions to set these permissions before publishing the adobe form?
3. Where can i get hold of Reader Extensions and how much do they cost? I have been reading information on similar topics on this forum (dating 3-4 years ago) that say reader extensions are comparitavely expensive to a Adobe Pro/Livecycle licence. ($50,000 upwards) Is this correct? If so, is there a cheaper alternative to achieve the same outcome?
I hope someone can shed some light on these points!

RobReader Extensions can be bought as a module in LiveCycle. There is a subset of RE functionality that exists in Acrobat. The ability to save locally is part of Acrobat. In both cases you woudl RE the form before distributing it, hence when the user gets your form they are ready to go. You can download a trial version of the server product. As far as pricing goes you woudl be better to talk to an Adobe salesrep as there are discounts for certain situations as well as different pricing options. If you decide tp gp the Acrobat route you ar limited, by licence, to distribute your form to a max of 500 users.

Does Adobe have actual support for their products?
Or does Adobe actually rely on these forums and/or for the customer figure things out for themselves?
First issue is that all video playback within Premiere CS6 stopped working ( periodically it works for a few days then stops again) . After trying all the recommendations (clearing out the cache, uninstalling and re-installing Quick Time, etc.) now the program does not even shut down and after forcing the program to close, it actually is still runs in the back ground using 1 gigabyte of memory.
I keep up on the maintenance of the machine (weekly and sometimes every day), install all the updates from Adobe, as well as the driver for the video card (directly from the vendor).
So has Adobe stopped provided updates for CS6 by coming out with the CC version? Perhaps the Creative Cloud subscription is not really worth the money since you get what you pay for value wise.
By just browsing through the forum, there appears to many issues, so how reliable is the product ?Venting is fine, but really asking for help requires more information... and, as far as I know, CS6 is receiving NO further updates (but, since I don't work for Adobe, that may not be 100% true)

Error while running User Profile Import - Stopped-extension-dll-load
Hi guys,
I'm receiving below error message in event viewer while running user profile import for the first time with event ID 6166:
The management agent "MOSS-" failed on run profile "MOSS_EXPORT_". The run step stopped because a configured extension for this management agent could not be loaded.
User Action
Verify that the extension is located in the Extensions directory. If the extension is present, confirm that the version of the .NET framework that can run the extension is installed on the server and that a supportedRuntimes entry in the configuration
files specifies that version. The synchronization engine will not be able to load an extension that is built with a newer version of the .NET framework than the version of the .NET runtime it is hosting.
At the same time , in miisclient "stopped-extension-dll-load" message for MOSS_EXPORT,MOSS_FULLSYNC, MOSS_DELTASYNC. Can any help to let me understand what will be causing this issue?

For this issue, I recommend verify the things below:
Check if the connection name of the Synchronization Connections created in User Profile Service Application has more than 55 characters. If yes, please rename the connection with less than or equal to 55 characters.
Check if the length of the full path to the dll called “Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.ManagementAgent” is
greater than 160. If yes, then we can move the extension Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.ManagementAgent.dll to the folder c:\windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL and then do an IISRESET.
If above cannot work, please check ULS log for more detailed error message.

Adobe CSXS Extensions update failed on multiple CC apps
I am cross posting this on this forum because there has been no response on the CC specific setup forum, only several other users that are having the same issue. Hopefully this might actually get some attention here.

06/18/13 13:I have tried several of the solutions mentioned in that document. Some of it is out of date as I am specifically having issues installing the Adobe CSXS Extensions 4_4.0.2 in the new CC apps, specifically:

Basically, the installer is saying that the file it is getting from the server does not match the checksum that it is looking for for that file. Hence, both the CC Application Manager and AIR (which I have removed and updated) think that they are getting a bad file. I have also tried installing these updates without any virus, firewall, or port protection. I have also tried safe mode and the like.
The main issue is that the only way to get this update is through the cloud. Every workaround for this issue for earlier CS producs said to just download the update directly to avoid the checksum issue. This is not possible with the CC apps as the updates are only available through the cloud. I should also note that, for most of these programs, they are fully clean installs. I have not even opened any apps besides Photoshop and Illustrator which I did before the update was posted, so I can't imagine why I would need to spend most of a day uninstalling and reinstalling what is essentially a clean install to begin with. I think I will just have to take this directly to Adobe support as I know I'm not the only one with this issue but there have been no solutions posed even when full logs are provided.

Adobe.utils.Extension not found in Adobe flash professional CS5

In my machine I have installed only Adobe Flash CS5 proffesional trial version. Now this installation is not supporting adobe.utils.Extension class in this version. I have tried with all latest updates from adobe site. My doubt is does adobe.utils.Extension class is available in licensed version of Adobe Flash CS5 proffesional?

Mutiple users, our test systems from Mac and Windows are failing when installing extensions from the Adobe Exchange extension.

Result: Installed extension not shown installed in Extension Manager or Adobe Exchange Panel, but extension is installed.
Attempting to reinstall has same failure. Extension is installed, but has no method to remove.
Note installing steps in Panel and in Extension Manager can last 5+ minutes.I am sorry about that. These extensions should have been specified force-quit="true" in mxi file by their producers. This attribute means that the application must be closed in order to install these extensions. Because the Exchange Panel runs in applications, so these extensions can't be installed by Exchange Panel. User have to quit applications and launch Extension Manager to install them. This is bad user experience so we hope the extension developers use this attribute only if it is indeed necessary.
To get the real root cause, please create a file named ExManCoreLibLog.YES in the "C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Log" (Windows) or "/Users/<UsreName>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log" folder (Mac), then launch Extension Manager CC and reproduce your problem, then send the ExManCoreLibrary.log in this folder to [email protected] Thanks! -
Dreamweaver Adobe BC Extension showing blank window
I´ve had this problem with Dreamweaver´s Adobe BC extension a year and a haft now:
Is simply blank. The window where is supposed to show the USERNAME + PASSWORD rectangles to write them down.
I tried everything in all forums: install/uninstall AdobeBC Extension and DW CS5.5, update extension etc.. And Nothing happnes.
At first, DW was working ok with the extension (1 and a haft year ago, when I first installed DW) And suddenly, it just stop working and showing just a blank space.
If u have any suggestions, please let me know. I´m tired and frustated with this problem.

How can i manage? I have no extensions support and extension function faded out in WINDOW->pop-up list in my PS CC (using Ps Lr Plan in CC, OS X 10.9.4). The latest Adobe Extension Manager neither recognizes any extensions or programms (the list is empty).

Which Panels are you talking about exactly?
If it’s Flash Panels you can forget them for CC 2014 as Flash support has been dropped; but one can create custom Panels in html5 now.
