Is camera raw version 6.5 in photoshop eleements 9 compatible with camera raw 6.7 in lightroom 4?

Can I edit my camera raw photos in bothe photoshop elements 9 and lightroom 4?

If you select a thumbnail in the Lightrom library and press Ctrl+E it should open for editing in Elements. However you are editing an exported copy (either PSD or tiff) with Lightroom develop settings.
Lightroom 4 has a more advanced raw engine (ACR 7.2) so you would not want to edit raw files directly in Elements unless you wish to use process version 2010 rather than process version 2012. See screen shot for the slider differences.

Which version of photoshop is compatible with my Mac OS X v.10.6.8? Should I use Photoshop CS4 Extended or CS5 Extended?

CS5 works fully on my Macbook Pro, but it all depends on your specs. If you have a newer MBP on SL, you should be fine. Photoshop isn't terribly demanding on the computer so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Whichever one you can get is fine.

  • Firefox was working, today did not start with error message the the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running.

Computer has Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Firefox has run fine for over a year on this computer. Nothing was changed or updated except Windows update shows that it installed updates on Aug 19. I had computer off for week before because out of town, came back and started on Aug 18, but Firefox worked on that day. Did not use FF again till today. Today on Aug 22nd, firefox will not start, shortcut icon has changed to program not there. Exe in folder when clicked brings up error message say the version of this file is not compatible with version of Windows I am running. Firefox exe shows created Aug 20. I suspect update, either Windows or FF but lean towards windows, happened that broke things. I notice IE 10 updates, .NET framework updates and malicious software removal tool updates were installed. I have tried restarting computer, did not fix. Tried to run as admin, didn't work. I do not want to uninstall FF unless have to because of all the stuff I have in there, bookmarks, last pass passwords, etc.

    Hello,
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files ('''not the profile folder where the bookmarks are stored''') and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
'''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    #*'''Windows:'''
    #**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    #**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back to see if this helped you!
    Thank you.

If you look thru the requirements for the applications you are likely to find 10.6 does not meet the tech specs.

Unfortunately that link is not that clear on your specific question.  My guess is that CS4 is not supported in ML 10.8.x.

Is Photoshop 7 compatible with OS X 10.6.8?

No. PS 7 was really an OS 9 application with just enough extra code (it asks if you want to install it) that allowed PS 7 to run in OS X. Since it requires OS 9 (Classic) you can't run it under any version of OS X after Tiger, 10.4.x. since Leopard and later don't support Classic.

  • I'm getting this error statement: XULRUNNER error: platform version 6.0.2 is not compatible with min etc max etc6.0.1 - what is this about and how can it be corrected?

This is what I think may have happened. The other day, Thursday Sept 8th, I shut down my pc in the middle of a Firefox upgrade. Now when I try to access Firefox on my pc, I get this error message:
XULRUNNER Error: Platform version '6.0.2 is not compatible with min Version >= 6.0.1 max Version < 6.0.1
What is this about and how can I retsore access to Firefox on my pc?

If you use ZoneAlarm Extreme Security then try to disable Virtualization.
Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder.
