Is ipod shuffle compatible with windows xp (sp2)?

Please tell me, is ipod shuffle compatible to windows xp service pack 2???????

If it's a 4G Shuffle, then no.  You need at least SP3 installed in order for it to work properly. See this page for the minimum requirements.

Same thing goes for a 3G Shuffle as well.

That means only a 1G or 2G Shuffle will work with your system.

You must sync the iPod with one or the other, but not both.

  • IPod Shuffle compatible with car audio iPod ready receivers

I was wondering if i purchase an iPod shuffle, would it play with iPod ready car audio receivers like the classic iPods do.

NOT unless specifically mentioned in the documentation/specs of the car audio...
On the other hand, IF the audio system has an "audio-in" you can connect shuffle audio-out with a "patch" cable with a 3.5mm plug on both ends...

I understand this is a free download?

All versions of Firefox work on Windows XP. You need to check your hardware specifications.

  • Is iPod Classic compatible with Windows 7 64-bit?

My old iPod Classic just died and I'm looking to buy another one, but on the Apple Store the technical specs say the OS requirement for PC's is:
"Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later, 32-bit editions of Windows Vista, or 32-bit editions of Windows 7"
Does that mean they're not supposed to be used with 64-bit editions of Windows 7? My old one had been running on it with no problems.

    Hi adc 1966!
I have one at work that runs on Windows 7 64bit, no problem. It's a couple of years old, but Apple has not come out with a new iPod Classic since I got it, so you should be fine getting a new one. Hope this helps!

  • IPOD NANO compatible with Windows Media Player????

    Hey guys,
I realize this may be a really dumb posting but I'm looking at purchasing a iPod Nano but my concerns are about how you load your music onto the ipod. I currently have all my music in my Windows Media Player but the ipod webiste says that I have to use the iTunes program. Any information or clarification would be greatly appreciated as I debate such a large purchase! Thanks!
      Windows XP

Ok, I am definitely very technologically challenged, and I got a nano for christmas, and I have no idea how to get my music files from windows media player to itunes. I use limewire, which then puts all files in Media player, but my roomie accidentally deleted all my music from limewire, so now all that is in my itunes is all the music he downloaded from limewire after he deleted the library. Please help!!! I really wanna use my nano!!
    Thanks

  • Is the 4th generation shuffle compatible with windows 7 64bit?

I've had the Ipod 4th gen for awhile and my computer crashed  it had windows xp and my new computer has windows 7 64bit.   I plug in my ipod thinking it might work after downloading itunes an the ipod doesn't come up on Itunes and says error 28 when I check devices in the computer.
I don't remember which version of Itunes I had on the crashed xp computer   any suggestions?

Hmmm....okay, plug it in, and when it displays that yellow triangle message, open a utility called "device manager" (just search for it in the start menu if you cannot find it)...then in device manager, try find the device that is your iPod in the list of devices, and then click uninstall...then when it uninstalls, unplug your iPod and put it back in, and it should start your installation from scratch. :) let me know if it works :)

  • Ipod classic compatible with Vista Home Premium 64 bit

    Hi,
Is the Ipod Classic compatible with Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit?
I found out the hard way that the Itouch is not!
    Greetings,
    Miguel

If I could I would answer your question.
But I do not know how I did that.
Itunes has been working since day 1 on my 64 bit machine, only problem is that it takes half a minute to copy album cover art to song in itunes, the computer is hanging for 15 seconds before the album cover art is copied.
I just took the Ipod out of the box and connected it to the computer and it worked fine.
Only problem that I had yesterday is that when I'm intergrating album cover art my hard disk is doing strange things.
Just yesterday, my RAID 1 was corrupted by Itunes, first hard disk 1 was failing and an hour later hard disk 2 also crashed.
Was able to reconnect them into RAID 1, luckilly.

  • Is iPod compatible with windows media player 11?

Hello, is iPod compatible with windows mediaplayer 11?

No. iPods are to iTunes. Other PMPs are to WMP. You'll have to import your songs into iTunes to transfer them to the iPod. iTunes is better anyways, but thats only my opinion.

  • HT5610 is ipod nano 2nd generation compatible with Windows 8?

my ipod nano 2nd generation,  will not sync.  itunes says it is syncing, but nothing changes on my ipod. i tried resetting it, and everything stays the same on the ipod, not matching my current library.   i also tried manually dragging and dropping items onto the device, and still nothing happens.  i don't want to wipe everything off my ipod if it isn't compatible with windows 8, because then i won't be able to put my library, what songs/playlists are already there,  back on the ipod.

it was until the last update of itunes, and many are having issues

  • IPod Shuffle and new windows 8

    Hello!
A week ago my old computer crashed and died. Just got a new one yesterday.
    HP 110-290 Desktop Pc...Windows 8 (had Vista)
Had to install my IPod shuffle on the new computer. Was nervous that I would
not get my stuff back. However, I can see all my music. When I go to play it
a message says I must "authorize my computer first".  I'm not sure what that
means...didn't see anything like that on my  old computer.  And was wondering
if my Shuffle was compatible with Windows 8?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help (I'm not the best at computers).
    Thanks again!
    Heinzilla

There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:

  • Hi, new iPod shuffle comes with Apple older earphones or new earpods ?

Hi, new iPod shuffle comes with Apple older earphones or new earpods ?

Older design earbuds, not the EarPods.  However, the remote control buttons on the EarPods cord are compatible with the currernt 4th gen iPod shuffle, although its microphone does nothing for a shuffle.
