IS-IS DIS Hellos

Hello,
IS-IS DIS sends hellos at 3.3 seconds, so does it means 3.3 seconds between DIS and all other routers as well as other routers also send hellos to DIS at the same seconds...
and IS-IS normall routers are exchanging hellos between them at 10 sec... is that correct?
so in short:
Hellos between DIS and ALl other is 3.3
Hellos between ALLother routers is 10 Seconds

Infact, when they got in touch with me, i specifically asked for help for a adobe cc that i was gifted a year back and was trying to renew but wasn't happening. I mailed the details but all they did was ask for PO's!!! I spoke to several of my collegues and even the authorised distributor here in Ahmedabad. Even he clarified to me that there are no PO's given for purchasing of software, specially in Adobe. While Denave, threatened if i didn't mail the required papers!!! I am so disappointed with this behavior, seriously. Small setups like mine are atleast picking up legal softwares even though they are terribly unfriendly to the pocket and still we are being harassed. I was in a meeting and got 5 missed calls from them in a matter of 2 hours!!!! this is simply harassment. Sad!
Also, do let me know why we can't purchase the software online in India???????????????????????? A million dollar question which deiintely needs an answer

Web services login from python

As described in a previous post, I'm trying to develop a thin client in python on a Raspberry PI that gets data from a Web Services program. I wrote a simple "Hello World" vi that requires authorization. If I access the URL from IE, Safari, etc, it gives me the Silverlight login screen, and then it works. If I write a simple client using the HTTP Get vi, it works. If I access the URL from Python:

I get 404. I've Read The Fine Manual. Suggestions?

It seems to me that the responders to the OP do not, in fact, understand the issue at play here.
NI has two pieces of security for the web services: digital signing and authentication. The digitial signing is documented and the OP knows how to do this in python. The authentication is not documented anywhere I know of. The fact that it works in the browser does not mean anything. What happens with a browser request for a service which requires authentication is that the response is a new page with a Silverlight app to perform the authentication with the NI-auth service. The question the OP has is what goes on inside that Silverlight app? That was written by NI, not the browser developers, so it could be answered by the folks at NI and this is as good a place as any to request that info. The VIs referenced by the OP recreate the same functionality, presumably by calling into a CLFN.
In the meantime, here is some information that may or may not be of use. I used to use web services now and then, but issues like this (and the use of silverlight) drove me away eventually.
The NI-auth server apparently uses the SRP protocol to validate username/password combinations. You send a GET request to hostort/login?username=user. The response has a header which is something like 'X-NI-AUTH-PARAMS' with the server parameters for the SRP protocol in base-64 encoding. Then you send a POST request back to the login uri with the client parameters inside the body and the content type is 'application/x-www-form-urlencoded' If all goes well the final response from the server has a cookie which you can use in further requests.
You will have to play a bit to determine some details like which hash function is used inside the SRP protocol. The beauty of python is that hashlib, srp, and request modules are already there for you.
If you get it sorted out, let me know. I figured out enough to do some spoofing, I am curious to fill in the missing gaps. I'll try to dig into my old code some more for details.

Is there any smarthost or antispam apps configured for the outbound emails?
Please check whether other users in your domain can send messages to Hotmail.com. Also check whether you can send message to other domain accounts or just Hotmail.com.
Please confirm if you has installed antivirus or antispam software on the server. If there is one, try disabling it.
If other users also cannot send external messages, please get the send connect configurations of your Exchange server:

How to populate the field Discount Percent (DIS) in the outbound S1ORDEXC?

I am working with the Spec2000 to send out the IDOC S1ORDEXC.
Does anyone know how to populate the field Discount Percent (DIS)?
This field length of Discount Percent is 2 characters, but our customer discount in the Princing Conditions (Sales Order) is longer than 2 characters (ex: 7.500-%)

I guess you are working with IS- ADEC and SPEC 2000. I am not an expert on this but leave you some hints from OSS notes I came across.
It appears like Discount Percent - DIS and Procurement Discount Percent -PDP are complementary and mutually exclusive. If one exists, the other need not.
Looks like DIS is computed as (100-PDP)/100 and it is just a 2- integer data (as in 20 Percent). It is a kind of multiplier (Factor), example if PDP discount is 10 percent, then DIS (Factor) is 0.9 and so final (net) price after discount = Price*0.9.
" If the discount comes in the S1BOOKED inbound into SD in the field DIS, then the discount has to be sent back in the DIS field .. if it came in the PDP field then it has to be sent back in the PDP field. If there was no discount in the incoming IDoc, then the discount has to be filled in the PDP if there was a change in the discount".
KDATE in SPEC 2000 file maps to DIS and KPERC to PDP.
PDP has 4 characters and per OSS note 440380, the point is ignored meaning you can work with 1225 instead of 12.25.
So may be you can work with PDP?
OSS notes: Apply to older releases but may still be applicable conceptually speaking.

596042 - Discount percent DIS not considered e processing S1ORDEXC

Time dis aggregation frm Quarter to Month using APODPDANT

I am trying to achieve something like this.
The Data view has past 12 months in months and 4 quarters in future. (2011 M01,2011 M02......2011 M12 and 2012 Q1,2012 Q2...2012 Q4)
KF 1 has values in 12 monthly buckets in History.(Say 2011)
KF 2 has values in 4 Quarters in Future (Say 2012)
In msdp_admin i tied up APODPDANT to KF2 (Used P and K respectively for structural and time based)
In MC8V i used KF1 as basis to calculate proportions from 01.01.2011 to 31.12.2011 and in Periodicity i gave M and copied proportions to 01.01.2012 to 31.12.2012.
Now for testing i put some sample values in 12 buckets in KF1 (simple values such that the sum of three months forms a 100 in Quarter Eg: 20 30 50, 25 25 50, 40 30 30 etc)
i calculated proportional factors after entering 100,100,100,100 in four quarter buckets of KF2.
When i dis aggregate the Quarters to months what i am expecting is the same ratio which is defined in KF1 (20 30 50, 25 25 50....etc) but i am getting 31 31 38 in all monthly buckets of 2012 and sometimes 33 33 33
Can someone point me out where i need to start looking to fix this.

Hi Sai, first one basic good practice regarding APODPDANT (if you are not following already)
Have APODPDANT in some view so that you can check that the values are coming correctly.
You calculated the proportional factors in KF2 AFTER entering values in quarterly buckets of KF2.
Proportional factors should exist BEFORE value is entered in KF2, else do a re-disaggregation again through macro, or try changing the values of KF2 now, and it would follow the proportional factors.
Ideally, I think teh complete sequence for you should be:
1) Enter values for months of 2011 in KF1
2) Calculate APODPDANT for 2012 based on monthly 2011 values of KF1
3) Either enter quarterly values manually in KF2 (in some view having quarters), or do some calculations to get the quarterly values of KF2
4) Check for monthly values of KF2 in a different planning view having months in future, you should see properly disaggregated values
If this doesn't work, please let us know.

Advantages;
1. Indication to both, the thread generator & answering members of how other community members think about stuff posted in the forums.
2. Tool for motivation and confidence building.
3. Prevention of redundant replies.
4. Also, further the counts of clicks can be converted/calculated in monitory terms such as points to generator or answerer for certain counts of likes on his posts.

Nothing personal. When I say you, itu2019s not you you, itu2019s forum members rather (including myself). Actually, I pick up a sincere and constructive sense from your suggestion. But in my opinion your hope is dashed, unless miracle happens.
I believe the top-down approach is not gonna work; it should be bottom-up. It all starts from the attitude of forum users, every little thing would add up. 1. Why do we maintain common Dis channel and Common DIVisions.
2. Can u tell clearly with the example about alt calc type, alt condition base value. and about subtotal in pricing.

AltCty - Condition formula for alternative calculation type:
 It is again a Routine that is written by ABAP Consultant.
 It is an alternative formula for the condition type that can be used instead of standard formulas.
 For example, let us take the Profit Margin which can be both + / - , so here this routine will help us in generating the value which can be either + or -. Profit margin is not a condition type so it cannot be classified as +ve or -ve in the V/06.
 Ex.: 950 0 Profit Margin 11.
 So we assign 11 - Profit Margin.
 If new routines are to be defined we follow the procedure given below.
o Go to T.Code: VOFM. - Maintain Requirements & Formulas
o Click on the "Formulas" and then on the "Condition Values".
o We have a list of routines, we can ask ABAP consultant to create new routines based on the client requests.
o And we assign the application type.

AltCBV - Alternative formula for condition base value:
The alternate base value is used as the calculation basis only, while the alternate calculation is used to modify the final value.
For example, imagine you have a condition type ZZ01, with a condition record maintained (master data) for $100. Now, condition ZZ02 also exists lower in the schema, but with a rate of 10%. The standard calculation would result in a final value of $110.
The alternate base value could say, "don't use $100 as the basis -- use the original price PR00 only, which was $90." Then, the final value would be $100 + (10% of $90) = $109.
The alternate calculation routine says, "ignore the 10% altogether. Instead, use an externally calculated 20%." Then, you end up with a final value of $100 + (20% of $100) = $120.
Put them both together, and you could end up with $100 + (20% of $90) = $118.
 Formula for determining the condition basis as an alternative to the standard.
 It is again a Routine that is written by ABAP Consultant.
 It is used as a basis to calculate value of the condition type instead of using it from the "FROM" column.
 Ex.: Freight - KF00.
 Freight is calculated based on weight, volume etc. and not on the base price. In pricing there is no entry of weight from which the value can be referred like we do for discounts using base price. We have to get the value from the Material master.
 In this column we can mention the value as 12 - Gross Weight or 13 - Net Weight.
 During pricing, the system will consider the value that is mentioned in this column and determine the freight based on this value.
 Suppose we have Net weight: 100 kgs and Gross Weight: 150 kgs. And if we mention 13 in this column then the Freight condition KF00 will be calculated using the weight as 100 kgs.
Subtotal: The value of this field determines where the values of subtotals to be captured i.e. in which table and which field.
 Controls whether and in which fields condition amounts or subtotals (for example, a customer discount or the cost of a material) are stored.
 If the same fields are used to store different condition amounts, the system totals the individual amounts.
 These condition amounts or subtotals are used as a starting point for further calculations. You may, for example, want a subtotal of all the discounts included in the pricing of a sales order.

Dis-Select table rows after table update.

Hello All,
I have given the user a functionality to update table records on the BSP page.
I am using multiselect first and then when user clicks on a button, the selected rows becomes editable...
The user can then edit the rows and after they click on another button, the changes gets reflected in the database table....
Now my problem is that when the table is updated, i am changing the selectionMode to Multiselect, but the rows still remains selected and i want to clear all the selected rows...i.e dis-select all the rows...
Please help.

DIS connects fails

Hello,
we've trying to connect DIS (11G) to UCM 11g R1 (both latest versions for today).
DIS connects fine from Windows XP with IE6/IE7.
But fails from Windows XP with IE8 or later also fails with windows 7.
UCM is configured to use SSL (certificate is untrusted - development environment).
There is no possibility even to create new connection to UCM. Connection fails after
several messages about untrusted certificate but before basic authentication dialog appiears.
As I've mentioned it works OK with Windows XP and ie6/ie7, but after installing IE8 on the same mashine - connection fails.

OK so you are using HTTPS...Is this what you are trying to do?Yes
It sounds like the client does not trust the certificate authority (CA) that created the certificate. In this instance the client just refuses to connect as it does not trust the connection.As mentioned before - certificate is not trusted. But there should not be the problem. It is development environment.
What happens when you try and access UCM with a browser via the HTTPS URL I would suspect that you get a similar prompt... Can you easily access UCM via HTTPS?For example Firefox warns me only first time I access the site. Then averything goes well. I can work with application using FF, IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9 as normal.
If not can you click on the SSL/HTTPS padlock (the location varies a lot with different browsers these days but it may well be in the status bar) and look at the details of the certificate that is being used to secure the SSL connection.It is self generated non qualified certificate.
Part of the info will be the certificate authority that created the certificate. By default applications like browsers are preconfigured to trust some well know CA's like, for example, verisign. If the CA that has created your certificate is NOT trusted by the browser )for example if you created a self signed cert) or client then you must either...Everything works fine with IE6/IE7. Here's something to think about: When you finish a project, make a full quality self-contained export. Make any and all further exports from that master file. Someone wants a wmv? Make it from the master, etc etc.

Just saw your post. Better late than never. You may want to
consider GameBrix.com, where you can create Flash based, casual
games using your web browser. No downloads are required. You can
create a game from scratch using a library of images, sounds and
game mechanics. You can also upload your own. The online script
editor will allow you to view and edit the ActionScripts associated
with each game mechanic. In short, a great way to ramp up on game
design and build your own game without investing a lot of $
upfront.
