Time dis aggregation frm Quarter to Month using APODPDANT

Hello,
I am trying to achieve something like this.
The Data view has past 12 months in months and 4 quarters in future. (2011 M01,2011 M02......2011 M12 and 2012 Q1,2012 Q2...2012 Q4)
KF 1 has values in 12 monthly buckets in History.(Say 2011)
KF 2 has values in 4 Quarters in Future (Say 2012)
In msdp_admin i tied up APODPDANT to KF2 (Used P and K respectively for structural and time based)
In MC8V i used KF1 as basis to calculate proportions from 01.01.2011 to 31.12.2011 and in Periodicity i gave M and copied proportions to 01.01.2012 to 31.12.2012.
Now for testing i put some sample values in 12 buckets in KF1 (simple values such that the sum of three months forms a 100 in Quarter Eg: 20 30 50, 25 25 50, 40 30 30 etc)
i calculated proportional factors after entering 100,100,100,100 in four quarter buckets of KF2.
When i dis aggregate the Quarters to months what i am expecting is the same ratio which is defined in KF1 (20 30 50, 25 25 50....etc) but i am getting 31 31 38 in all monthly buckets of 2012 and sometimes 33 33 33
Can someone point me out where i need to start looking to fix this.

Hi Sai, first one basic good practice regarding APODPDANT (if you are not following already)
Have APODPDANT in some view so that you can check that the values are coming correctly.
You calculated the proportional factors in KF2 AFTER entering values in quarterly buckets of KF2.
Proportional factors should exist BEFORE value is entered in KF2, else do a re-disaggregation again through macro, or try changing the values of KF2 now, and it would follow the proportional factors.
Ideally, I think teh complete sequence for you should be:
1) Enter values for months of 2011 in KF1
2) Calculate APODPDANT for 2012 based on monthly 2011 values of KF1
3) Either enter quarterly values manually in KF2 (in some view having quarters), or do some calculations to get the quarterly values of KF2
4) Check for monthly values of KF2 in a different planning view having months in future, you should see properly disaggregated values
If this doesn't work, please let us know.

Debit cards are no longer accepted in the iTunes Store, it seems. The current valid payment methods are listed here:

You can try contacting the iTunes Store and asking if there is any way to use your card, but they probably will tell you that it's not possible.

Click: Edit Payment Information
Make sure you have the correct Security Code.

I have one Planning book with two key figures .
SALES YTG CURVE % AND
SALES YTG VALUE :
SALES YT G CURVE IS calculated using macro calculation depending on macro calculation.
in /sapapo/admin.
SALES YTG VALUE : is dis aggregated with sales ytg curve%.
The calculation does not works if I try it for first or second time ...BUT it works when I try to do for 3 or 4 th time..
It always disaggregates from Jan but the depending on sales ytg curve % its expected to have from sept,,
But always works from Jan.but the values expected from Sept.14..
Please let me know.

Dear Mark,
Try using Proportional factors and for SALES YTG VALUE, give the disaggregation KF as APODPDANT and accordingly calculate the proportional factors from September.

Report by year quarter or month

We have requirement where we may have to show some reports by either year,quarter or month.How this is supported in OBIEE answers ?

Mark's suggestion answers exactly what you asked, but when you select "quarter," for example, you'll get all quarters regardless of year. This would also be true if you selected "month." What I would suggest is building dashboard prompts for year, quarter and month. This way the user can select what year, then quarter, then month if needed, to constrain the data appropriately. By checking off "All Choices" in the dashboard prompt design, you user can see all quarters for a year, for example.
Another way would be to use drill down from Year to Quarter to Month.

SSAS Tabular - return number of days in given month using month's start date?

Is there a way to return the number of days in a month by providing just the month date or month start date?
We have a time table, but it is at monthly (not daily) granularity.
So I can't just count rows between start/end of month.
I need to be able to divide by the number of days in a given month and can't seem to find a way to get number of days in that given month.

According to your description, you want to get the number of days in a month with the month's start date, right?
In this case, we can get the first day of next month using DateAdd function, and then use DateDiff function to calculate the number of days in this month. Here is a sample query for your reference.

Time based aggregation - partition

I have a question regarding partitioning of an InfoCube. Can you use logical partitioning on an InfoCube designed with "time-based aggregation"?

conversion of minthly and weekly time buckets: If you have overlaping time buckets in your planning area, data is stored in storage buckets that have the lowest granularity of the planning buckets. the overlaping periods are considered as a separate storage bucket
21May -27May - 7 days
28May -31 may - 4 days
01 June -03 June - 3 days
04June -10 june - 7 days
You can have a temporary mixed bucket display in the planning book by using the Planning Bucket Profile : 9ASTORAGE. You can do this change from the interactive planning book. If you can tell what version you are on we can help with how to reach there. As far as i know, This display cannot be made permanent
if you want a mixed time bucket for permanent display you need to create fiscal year variants in customizing and create your time bucket and planning bucket profiles accordingly.

A complication that I need to resolve is the fact that I am using Vmware
Fusion to be able to use Windows on my Mac. Now it seems that Time
Machine is not backing up my files
on that virtual Windows without additional configuration and my question
is whether you can advise me here or whether this is only a matter for
the Fusion virtual machine.

If you want to use Time Capsule you can.. you simply bridge it and plug it into the existing router.. wireless can be either turned off or used to reinforce the existing wireless.. eg use 5ghz in the TC which is much faster than your 2.4ghz.
You can also use a NAS.. many brands available but the top brands are synology, qnap and netgear readynas series. These will all do Time Machine backups although how well always depends on Apple sticking to a standard. There are cheaper ones.. I bought a single disk zyxel which was rebadged and sold through my local supermarket. It actually works very well for TM at least on Snow Leopard. Major changes were made in Lion and again ML so do not instantly think it will work on later versions. I haven't tried it yet with those versions.
Any external drive can be plugged into the mac. Use the one with the fastest connection or cheapest price according to your budget. USB2 drives are cheap and plentiful. But no where near as fast as USB3 or FW800. So just pick whichever suits the ports on your Mac. Interesting Apple finally moved to USB3 on their latest computers.
TM should exclude the VM partition file.. it is useless backing it up from Mac OS side.. and will slow TM as it needs to backup that partition everyday for no purpose.. TM cannot see the files inside it to backup just the changes.
You need to backup windows from windows. Use MSbackup to external drive.. if you have pro or ultimate versions you can backup to network drive. But MSbackup is a dog.. at least until the latest version it cannot restore the partition without first loading windows. There are about a zillion backup software versions for windows.. look up reviews and buy one which works for you. I use a free one Macrium Reflect which does full disk backups and is easy to restore.. to do incremental backups though you have to pay for it.

Aperture is a nice program, I use it myself for it's adjustment and light editing capabiities.
You can save a vault on another drive.

Thanks for your reply but i've already created an auto renewable subscription and a Multi Issue with i-Tunes Subscription Multi Issue with i-Tunes Subscription and the product id of the subscription in DPS App Builder and enable Newstand for the app. I tested in sandbox environment and looks good.
The problem is when i try to upload the binary gives me the same message. I've to submit this urgent because my client want to have this in app store in December.

The iPhoto library is a Time Machine backup, and so cannot be used as the main library. Reopen iPhoto with the Option key held down to choose another library.

I recently tried to look up my pictures on my time machine back up on an external hard drive. As soon as I try to open it I get the following message.
"The iPhoto library is a Time Machine backup, and so cannot be used as the main library. Reopen iPhoto with the Option key held down to choose another library."
I have tried holding down the option key but still couldn't few the photos.
I want to know if there is anyway I can actually view these photos. I have over 85gbs of photos on the hard drive. I have tried googling and looking at pervious forums with the same problem but nothing is working.

Select Mac Help from the Finder's Help menu. Search for "Restore items backed up with Time Machine."

Is it possible to browse a Snow Leopard back-up on a Time Capsule shared with a Lion backup using the Lion-only machine?

My 2006 Macbook died but was backed up to my Time Capusle. This machine was running the most uptodate version of Snow Leopard at the time.
I've read that I should be able to access this backup using a different Mac but I can't see it when I CTRL-click the Time Machine icon (in the dock), when using my Macbook running Lion 10.7.1. It only shows me the current backup for this machine.
I know the old backup must be there somewhere as the Time Capsule is almost completely full (700 gb of the 1tb was dedicated to the old MA

If you control-click on the Time Machine icon and select "Browse Other Time Machine Disks" but don't see the other backups, try this: Look in the "sidebar" of a Finder window for your Time Capsule. If you see it, select it, then look for the Time Capsule's disk (probably called "Data" if you didn't rename it). Double-click that to mount it. Now try again to control-click on the Time Machine Dock icon.

Mail doesn't support notes. If you use iCloud, you have them in it because Notes is an application
