Is it allowed and possible to sell your running application in the Apple Appstore to another company, who wants to buy (take-over) the app?

If you build a very succesful app in the Appstore and now you get a lot of interest from other companies to buy the application(s), is this allowed from Apple and how is this possible if you want to sell your app to the interested company?
Does this include that all the current users will move to the new owner and would it be possible to rebrand and rename the app?

Unless something has changed lately, no.
You have to remove the app from sale and then add it back into the new account. Apple won't transfer apps to another account and unfortunately it will lose all current users.

If you just want the apps then you can either sync them from your computer's iTunes or, if they are still available in the store and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy/download them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.
If you want there content (e.g. game progress) then you will need to backup the first iPad and then restore the second iPad from that backup (a list of what is included in a backup is in this article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4946 - it excludes music, videos, synced photos). As the backup doesn't contain the actual apps, just their settings and content, for the restore to work completely you'll need all the relevant apps in your computer's iTunes library - otherwise the restore won't be able to install the apps and therefore their content. -

Yes, it is possible. 1 apple ID can be associated with up to 10 devices.

If you have authorized a computer with the old apple ID, you can transfer old media purchased through the old to other devices via iTunes. This doesn't mean the media purchases through the old apple ID it transferred to the new account. If you plan to make future purchases and don't wish to share them with others, make your own apple ID. -
As the title says, this is a brand new iPod touch bought from a store, I plugged it in a commenced the "setting up" process through iTunes on may iMac. It got to the stage where it said allow this computer to access the device (or something along those lines), i clicked yes, and then a message came up "to allow access, please respond on your iPod touch. however the ipod screen is black, and pressing the buttons doesn't work. How can i fix this? or do I need to return it?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

While all you want is just to place pins, realize that Motion has so much more. All kinds of effects and they can be really customized. Maybe put their street address, contact name, and phone number by the pin?

If you're using the map for, say, deliveries, and use an iPad, what you could do is have a general map of the area imported into Motion, create the pins and whatever, then save (share?) it to the iPad.

The music app on my Iphone 5 is acting up, it keeps skipping songs and wont allow the to play. You can see the music icon the on notification bar play and pause. When i go back to the app is states the url is not responding. I have restored it from the backed up cloud save. It is the music app, I played music on pandora and it worked fine. I think it must be the app or the ios.
restore with itunes not from an itunes backup or cloud save they do absolutely nothing only a clean restore will solve your problem

AIR Intrinsic Classes-Tried and Proven Approach to building AIR applications in the Flash CS3 IDE
Hi everyone,
For all of you out there who would like to develop AIR
applications
from the Flash CS3 IDE but aren't sure how to get those pesky
intrinsic
classes working, I have a technique that you can work with to
create
your classes and make fully functional AIR applications.
First of all, those solutions out there that list
"intrinsic" functions
in their class definitions won't work. That keyword has been
taken out
and simply won't work. The "native" keyword also doesn't work
because
Flash will reject it. The solution is to do dynamic name
resolution at
runtime to get all the classes you need.
Here's a sample class that returns references to the "File",
"FileStream", and "FileMode" classes:

like. You do, however, need to import "flash.utils.*" because
this
package contains the "getDefinitionByName" method. Here I'm
also
extending the MovieClip class so that I can use the extending
class
(shown next) as the main Document class in the Flash IDE.
Again, this is
entirely up to you. If you have another type of class that
will extend
this one, you can have this one extend Sprite, Math, or
whatever else
you need (or nothing if it's all the same to you).
Now, in the extending class, the Document class of the FLA,
here's the
class that extends and uses it:

Here I'm just showing that the class actually exists but not

with it.
If you run this in the Flash IDE, the text field will show
"File
object=null". This is because in the IDE, there really is no
File
object, it only exists when the SWF is running within the
Integrated
Runtime. However, when you run the SWF as an AIR application
(using the
adl.exe utility that comes with the SDK, for example), the
text field
will now show: "File object=[object File]". Using this
reference, you
can use all of the File methods directly (have a look here
for all of
them:
http://livedocs.adobe.com/labs/flex/3/langref/flash/filesystem/File.html).
For example, you can call:
var appResource:File=File.applicationResourceDirectory;
This particular method is static so you don't need an
instance. If you
do (such as when Flash tells you the property isn't static),
simply
create an instance like this:

fileInstance.someMethod('abc'); //just an example...read the
reference
for actual function calls
Because the getter function in the AIR class returns a Class
reference,
it allows you to perform all of these actions directly as
though the
File class is part of the built in class structure (which in
the
runtime, it is!).
Using this technique, you can create references to literally
*ALL* of
the AIR classes and use them to build your AIR application.
The beauty
of this technique is its brevity. When you define the class
reference,
all of the methods and properties are automatically
associated with it
so you don't need reams of code to define each and every
item.
There's a bit more that can be done with this AIR class to
make it
friendlier and I'll be extending mine until all the AIR
classes are
available. If anyone's interested, feel free to drop me a

I'm trying to develop a panel to output AIR applications from
within the
Flash IDE. GSkinner has one but I haven't been able to get it
to work
successfully. Mine has exported an AIR app already so that's
a step in
the right direction but JSFL is a tricky beast, especially
when trying
to integrate it using MMExecute strings.
But, if you can, create AIR applications by hand. I haven't
yet seen an
application that allows you to change every single option
like you can
when you update the application.xml file yourself. Also, it's
a great
fallback skill to have.
Let me know if you need some assistance with AIR exports.
Once you've
done it a couple of times, it becomes pretty straightforward.

Is it possible to hav a RUN botton in the main window that start the program?

I am developing an user interface and have made a program in labview that I am now testing on users. They all have problems understanding that the user interface is not running when they open the program...and ask if it is possible to place a run botton in the main VI instead of the white arrow in the menu-bar.... is this possible to implement(it is possible to stop the program from running, but why is it not possible to do the same thing with start running?)

(If you open it from within a LabVIEW project (LabVIEW 8.0 only), it won't run automatically! ).
How long does your program run? Maybe it runs immedately and finishes in an instant?

I (stupidly) have two Apple IDs and when I got an Iphone 6, only the apps from one Apple ID are on the phone. How do I get my other apps (from my old Iphone 4) on my new Iphone? Thanks
You can use the same appleid that you purchased the apps with on the phone for the App store. Settings> iTunes & App Store and continue to use the other id for everything else allowing you to have access to your previously purchased apps. You can then either sync or download the apps without paying for them again.
It can be quite handy having two appleids - it can be quite useful if you can manage them correctly. One id for the store and one for imessage is good for privacy if you have the same id in use on another device. -

First, contact the developer of the app and ask for assistance. Then if you cannot get the problem resolved, go to the following link, explain the reason for your request, including that the developer was unable to solve the problem, and ask:

So AT&T states they are legally allowed to restrict the use of FaceTime over cellular data solely based on the fact that the FaceTime feature is a preloaded app on the device not a downloaded one. I say we request that Apple remove it as a preloaded App and offer it as a Free download on the App store to accommodate it's customers from having to deal with greedy corporations that implement unfair and unlawful rules on their devices.

Have you redeemed your iTunes card to an account associated with an Apple ID?
Once you have your iPad associated with an Apple ID AND you have an account with a credit card associated with the same Apple ID AND you have some 'store credit' (from redeeming your iTunes card) then purchases use the store credit before they charge the credit card, so you should be ok!
Personally, I use 'store credit' as a way to monitor whether or not there have been any 'unauthorised' purchases because as soon as the store credit is zero, the security code from the credit card is needed for further purchases! It does mean that I have sometimes to top up store credit before making a purchase, but 'better safe than sorry'! -
i am not getting notification on most of my apps, e.g twitter and facebook...except i go to the app and refreshed manually. its an iphone 4 and running on ios5...i have gone through everything and its still the same..help please........
I seem to be having the same problem on my brand new iPhone 4S. Everything was working fine on the phone until I updated to iOS 5.1.1, but now I no longer receive push notifications for the native Mail app, Instagram, or the Facebook app. I still seem to be receiving SMS texts and iMessages via push, but the aforementioned apps need to be opened before I can receive missed notifications (having them open in the background seems to make no difference).
