Is it poss to do text paging using RTP Streaming???

Hi,
Is it possible to send text message to group of Cisco IP phones connected to CME through HTTP POST using CiscoIPPhoneExecute and RTPMRx and RTPMTx commands
Thanks,
Preetha

Yes, it is possible to send text message to a group of phones on CME using HTTP POST. However, RTPMx and RTPTx are only used for audio reception and transmission. If you want to send audio, in addition to text, then you can use that. This is how PhoneTop Messenger sends audio pages and text messages to IP phone groups.

  • Using RTP stream as data source

    I have successfully written a program that reads G.711 audio from a wav file and sends it out over the network.
    I'm trying to modify that program so that instead of getting its source audio from a file, it instead receives the audio from an RTP stream. So, in effect, it is simply receiving audio from one socket and sending it back out another.
    The error I'm encountering:
    [java] javax.media.NoProcessorException: Cannot find a Processor for: rtp://172.30.18.140:32916
    [java] at javax.media.Manager.createProcessorForContent(Manager.java:1663)
    [java] at javax.media.Manager.createProcessor(Manager.java:627)
    Here is the code fragment where the exception occurs:
    processor = javax.media.Manager.createProcessor(new MediaLocator("rtp://172.30.18.140:32916"));
    Can anybody help? Thanks!

    Hi,
    I Had a very similar problem, but in addiction I had to store data in a buffer before retransmission. I resolved it employing low level classes. At this time, I still do not know any other solution, and nobody helped me in any way, also in this forum...
    So, first you have to access single frames of the stream (Buffer or ExtBuffer objects) using a RawBufferParser, then you have to reconstruct a DataSource by multiplexing the frames (use an appropriate Multiplexer class, such as RTPSynchBufferMux).
    The big problem is that there is no documentation avalaible about how to use these classes: I have lerned all I know by "reverse engineering" (lots of hours spent in reading very long annoying code). A little help can be given by the PlugIn Viewer of JMStudio, that tells you which classes are to be employed.
    I have not tried to retransmit data "straightforward", without access single frames, because that was not my task. Maybe if you use RTPManager, it is possible to get a DataSource by the ReceiveStream object, and then to pass it to another RTPManager to create a SendStream.
    I do not know any simpler way to do that, but this does not mean that it does not exist...!
    good luck.

  • Attaching text file using SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1

    hello guys, i'm a newbie here.
    I'm having trouble attaching an existing text file using function 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'. It seems i can't find the right combination of parameters that are being passed to this function.
    first, i'm using WS_UPLOAD to upload the text file to an internal table then i'm creating all the neccessary internal tables that will be use by this function..
    By the way, i'm trying to send mail w/ attachments to external mail and SAPids. Below is my code.

  • Why do text variables using Running Header character style translate forced returns as a word space in the running head on the first page but close up the space on subsequent pages?

    In an InDesign document that requires 3 different Chapter head paragraph styles (to cope with differrent length headings) I've set up the running heads on the master page with a text variable using the Running header (character style) option. The character style I've assigned to this is an empty character style that is applied to all 3 chapter head paragraph styles.
    Some chapter heads require a forced line break, so that the line breaks are aethesically pleasing. On the first page the text variable translates this forced line break as a word space in the running head, but on subsequent pages it ignores the forced line break. This means that if you have a word space before the forced line break, on the first page you get a double word space and on subsequent pages the running head sets correctly with a single word space. But if you remove the word space before the forced line break in the chapter head text, the first running head sets correctly with forced line break interpreted as a single word space, but on subsequest pages the space is closed up.
    This only seems to be a problem when the character style option is used for header text variables. If a paragraph style is used the forrced line break is interpreted as a a single word space in all instances, both on the foirst page and subsequent pages.
    This would appear to be a bug in how text variables are applied when using the Running header (character style) option. I can't see any other reason why the text variable would beheave differently on the first page and on subsequent pages. There is only one master page, so it isn't a case of their being an error between a main master page and a chapter opener master page.
    Does anyone have any solutionss, or know if this problem has been fixed in subsequent releases of InDesign (I'm using CS6 ID version 8.0)
    Thanks

  • Multi-language support for user-specified text strings used in the forms

    multi-language support for user-specified text strings used in the forms
    Instead of creating multiple forms, 1 in each different language, for the same service, is there any workaround?

    Hoan - is your question what are the considerations when creating multiligual catalogs? If so, I can tell you that at other clients I have seen them use a single catalog for one or two languages. For the two langugages, such as Spanish/English, you can create a single catalog with both of them. Once you get to more than two languages, the catalog would get unweildy and is therefore not suggested.

  • How to print a text file using Java

    How can I print a text file using Java without converting the output to an image format. Is there anyway I can send the characters in the text file as it is for a print job? I did get a listing doing this ... but that converted the text to an image format before printing....
    THanks,.

    Hi I had to write a print api from scratch, and I did not convert the output to image. Go and read up on the following code. I know there is a Tutorial on Sun about the differant sections of the snippet.
    private void printReport()
         Frame tempFrame = new Frame(getName());
         PrintJob printerJob = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getPrintJob(tempFrame, "Liesltext", null);
         Graphics g = printerJob.getGraphics();
                    //I wrote the method below for calculations
         printBasics(g);
         g.dispose();
         printerJob.end();
    }This alone wont print it you have to do all the calculations in the printBasics method. And as I said I wrote this from scratch and all I did was research first the tutorial and the white papers

    Sameer

    HI sameer,
       It is no different from using a Function module.
    example:
      CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_download
        EXPORTING
          filename                  = w_fpath
        append                    = SPACE
          write_field_separator     = 'X'
        CHANGING
          data_tab                  = it_download
        EXCEPTIONS
          file_write_error          = 1
          no_batch                  = 2
          gui_refuse_filetransfer   = 3
          invalid_type              = 4
          no_authority              = 5
          unknown_error             = 6
          header_not_allowed        = 7
          separator_not_allowed     = 8
          filesize_not_allowed      = 9
          header_too_long           = 10
          dp_error_create           = 11
          dp_error_send             = 12
          dp_error_write            = 13
          unknown_dp_error          = 14
          access_denied             = 15
          dp_out_of_memory          = 16
          disk_full                 = 17
          dp_timeout                = 18
          file_not_found            = 19
          dataprovider_exception    = 20
          control_flush_error       = 21
          not_supported_by_gui      = 22
          error_no_gui              = 23
          OTHERS                    = 24

  • How to create a muli line text area using JavaFx

    Hi all,
    Since the preview SDK does not contain TextArea any more, I am wondering how to create a muli line text area using JavaFX. The behaviour of this text area/field should be somehow similar to JTextArea in Swing or StyledTextWidget in SWT.
    Does JavaFX have any support for this? What would be a sensible approach to create such a widget?
    Thanks for your suggestions,
    br michael

    This is a pretty old thread (I know I came across this while searching for something similar recently), but I figured I'd throw this out there in case other people might find this useful. As I write this, JavaFX's latest version is 1.3... which may have added the needed functionality since the last post.
    You can now create a multi-line text area using a TextBox and by specifying the nubmer of lines and setting the "multiline" value to true. It may not offer all of the same functionality as JTextArea, but it did the job for what I needed... newlines by pressing enter, scrollbar if text surpasses height, etc.
    Here's a simple example:
    Group {
       content: [
          TextBox {
             text: "This is a multi-line textbox"
             lines: 10  // <-- this may/may not be necessary depending on your situation. Default is 5.
             multiline: true
    }Edited by: loeschg on Jul 29, 2010 2:59 PM

  • How can I change the background color in text box using RGB format

    Can some one tell me if Mac Pages (version 5.0) allows users to customize the background color of a text box using RGB color format?  It appears that the text color can be changed using RGB but background color is limited to a few standard colors.   Thanks

    They are just sample swatches, use the Color Picker to choose anything you want.

    I know if we use UTL_FILE.get_line we can read the whole line...but i need to read the tab separated value separately.....If it's a text file then UTL_FILE will only allow you to read it a line at a time. It is then up to you to split that string up (search for split string on this forum for methods) into it's individual components.
    If the text file contains a standard structure on each line, i.e. it is a fixed delimited structure, then you could use external tables to read the data instead.

    Since the word "TEXT" is formed of 4 letters, you would read the text file 4 bytes by four bytes. Wrong on two counts. First, the file may not be encoded 1 byte per character. It could be utf-16 in which case it would be two byte per character. Second, even if it were 1 byte per character, the string "Text" may not start on a 4 byte boundary.
    Consider a FileInputStream object "fis" that points to your text file. use fis.read(byte[] array, int offset, int len) to read every four bytes. Convert the "TEXT" String into a byte array "TEXT".getBytes(), and yous the Arrays class to compare the equality of the read bytes with your "TEXT".getBytes()Wrong since it relies on my second point and will fail when fis.read(byte[] array, int offset, int len) does not read 4 bytes (as is no guaranteed to). Check the Javadoc. Also, the file may not be encoded with the default character encoding.
    The problem is easily solved by reading a line at a time using a BufferedReader wrapping an InputStreamReader wrapping a FileInputStream and specifying the correct character encoding.

    When it was explained to me it didn't sound to hard of a task, I have no LabVIEW experience and the tutortial sucks.

    StevenD: FYI, I did NOT give you the one star rating. I would never do that!

    Well, this is an assignment, so it is probably homework.
    Why else would anyone give HIM such an assigment, after all he has no LabVIEW experience and the tutorials are too hard for him?
    This would make no sense unless all of it was just covered in class!
    This is not a free homework service with instant gratification.
    OK! Let's do it step by step. I assume you already have a VI with the digital indicators.
    "...but have no idea where to begin".
    open notepad.
    decide on a format, possibly one line per indicator.
    type the document.
    close notepad.
    open LabVIEW.
    Open the existing VI with all the indicators.
    (are you still following?)
    look at the diagram.
    Who made the program?
    Does the code make sense so far?
    Is it a statemachine or just a bunch of crisscrossed wires?
    Where do you want to add the file read?
    How should the file be read (after pressing a read button, at the start of the program ,etc.)
    See how far you get!
