Is it possible for a mac to run across a Windows based server such as in a school, and still be able to access all networked folders? I have been told that macs can only read down a certain number of folders

Is it possible to run a mac on a windows based server? We have a server based on Windows 7 in our school, and our techies are reluctant to let me buy a mac as they say macs can only read a number of folders deep, which would preclude me from accessing shared folders on our servers. Is this true, and is there a way round this? I would eventually like to get a suite of macs, but because all our resources are on the server, I have to be able to access them.

I have found that both Linux and Mac (unix) are capable of reading "deep" folders while win 32 will have issues, your it people are clearly wrong. I run a network with both win/mac. And as long as the win servers/pc's that have shares are set to allow apple file sharing in their folder properties. And the macs are set to allow smb there should absolutely no trouble with you accessing anything across the platforms, heck, from a Mac to a win pc on some occasions you don't even need to include a "domain" name to log on to, and you can create aliases and make your own shortcuts etc... So you don't have to manually connect each time you boot up etc... But that's all personal preferences I suppose.
All I can tell you is that, I do it on a daily basis managing a small business. So your answer is yes you can.

Each country is a separate business. If Apple in Australia fixes a phone purchased in another country it reduces their profit. The good news is that Apple stores will frequently replace phones purchased in other countries under warranty, but they are not required to do so. Some countries are more liberal than others. India never does, for example.
Why don't you just buy it in Australia? The price difference can't be that great.

I would like to be able to print from my ipad2 or my iphone4 directly to a wireless printer. I don't have WiFi at home or internet. I am able to get my emails and use the internet thru both these at home. Will I be able to use them to print? Any suggestions which printer? I was told that the HP OfficeJet Pro 8500A eprint all-in-one should work and wouldn't have to use a router. I don't want to go purchase this and try to set it up if it won't work thru the 3G network.

I don't have apple lap top but have been told that I can upload an app to allow pictures to automatically be pushed to device. Could anyone tell me where to go and what app I have to upload.

I do not have Apple device and wanted my photo's to be automatically sent to device. An Apple Genius told me that I can download an app from Apple to my device so that this will work. I have a S10e now with reformatted but now NTFS. I have been told that I can upgrade to Win 7.

I have updated BIOS from AHCI to Compatible. I have Windows 7 Home on a bootable flash drive. When I boot, it boots fine, but after starting, it is looking for a NTFS formatted drive and needs more than 3.8G.
Can anyone help?

be sure that your Ideapad S10e is updated to BIOS >96 , you can get it IdeaPad S9e,S10e,S10-4329 & 4333 : Ideapad S10e Vs. a0 that support Win7.
For windows 7 its not necessary to set BIOS Configuration Sata mode AHCI to compatible ...
Windows 7 should recognize your sata drive ... seems that windows 7 found only your install flashdrive (3,7GB)..
that could be if you did not delete all partiitons ... you can prepare this before with i.e. partitionwizard ,
best is delete .. all partitions and create one active primary min 30 GB thats enough for windows 7 and a second part for your data... pics movies music document.....

iTunes will only import music from your phone that was purchased from the iTunes store. To transfer music from other sources you have to use 3rd party software, such as PhoneView.

By default, Reader updates occur automatically via the Reader app itself, and this is the most secure way to receive updates. While you can choose to update manually (by choosing Help > Check for Updates), you may not always get critical updates as they're released. See Automatic updates | Acrobat, Reader. If you receive an email about needing to update Reader, you should ignore it, as that is where the malicious updates can come from. Just make sure you're letting the updates happen from within Reader, either automatically or manually.

As for Aperture, you'll need to do a search on the support website yourself because the result is a download so I couldn't post a link - the instructions are in the user manual. I believe the settings are within Aperture's Preferences.

I dont use iTunes since I have a windows laptop. I use CopyTrans , a program that basically emulates iTunes but is simpler. However it wouldnt allow me to delete U2s album from my phone.
After removing one song iTunes "updated" my phone's song list but in reality just deleted every song on it ( except for U2's atrocious album !!)
Is there any way I can get my songs back?
When I start up iTunes and CopyTrans the songs are still there. However when I attempt to play them they will not play?
