Is it possible in Muse to create hyperlinks to individual slideshow images?

Hi Friends,
Right now I've got a web-comic going (check it out at www.joshuawright.net). In order to maintain an archive page for each new comic I put up, I'm having to create a new html page every time. This is the only way I know to create a clean hyperlink on my archive page to each comic. I would like to use a simple slideshow widget, but there doesn't seem to be a way to link to specific images within the slideshow from another page.
For example, if I have slideshow of 30 images, and I want to create a separate html archive page with a text link to each individual one (so say, if I have 30 different luxury car pictures and I want readers to be able to click straight to the Ferrari picture without having to scroll through the entire slideshow) is this possible through Muse???? If so how???
Thanks for any advice you can give me,
Josh.

Thanks for the reply. I looked into your suggestion but as far as I can tell, that still doesn't allow for a separate hyperlink to individual images within the tooltip gallery. I'm happy to be proven wrong though if anyone knows where I'm screwing up.
To be clearer, check out my archive page for my web-comics: The Archive | An index of joshuawright.net  See how each link takes you to each page (i.e. image). It would be great if I could just have one slideshow gallery on one page filled with all the necessary jpgs that I could then archive in the same way.
Cheers.

  • My customer wants to create hyperlinks in the editor - surely this is possible?  And, if so, how?

My customer simply wants to create hyperlinks when adding content to her site; this doesn't seem possible within the Muse editing interface.  It must be, surely?  That's the most basic thing to do with a web page.

At current stage In browser editing does not includes hyperlinks , but that’s definitely a request we hear often. Unfortunately we can’t comment on what features are coming to Adobe Muse, but please know the team is listening!

  • Is it now possible with new version of Adobe Muse to create and HTML Newletter.

I am in a bit of a rush because I have an e-blast to prepare for a customer and I was wondering if it is it now possible with new version of Adobe Muse to create an HTML newletter? I have never created an html newletter before, if it is not possible with muse, and I do not code, would mailchimp be the best choice. If it is possible with muse, would it be possible to please provide me with the steps or a tutorial?
    Thank you.

The quick answer is, no. The output of Muse is designed to work with popular web browsers on desktops and devices. It relies on many features of HTML that are not supported by e-mail readers.

  • Possible bug with creating hyperlink destination while in story editor

I'm just curious if anyone else is experiencing this and if it's proper behavior or a bug:
I'm making manual cross references for endnotes in an ebook. To do this I'm creating hyperlink destinations for each endnote and endnote reference. I'm doing this in story editor because I can see the destination targets, however, I'm having a weird issue where when I hit enter when in the hyperlink destination dialog box, it closes and puts a hard return in my text. If I'm doing this in layout mode, I don't get the hard return--it's only in story editor. Creating a hyperlink and hitting enter on that dialogue box does not have the same behavior. It's just the "New Hyperlink Destination" dialog box that does it.
Can someone else replicate this behavior: Open story editor for any length story. Select some text (doesn't matter where it is), and go to the hyperlink panel menu and select "New Hyperlink Destination" and then hit the keyboard "enter" [rather than clicking on OK] to close the dialogue box.
When I do this on my Windows 8 laptop running the latest InDesign CC 2014, I'm getting a hard return that deletes whatever text was selected in the story editor. Is this supposed to happen?

  • Report navigation after creating hyperlink

    Hi,
I am using Webi rich clinet XI R3.1. I have one main report with six dashboards and associated detailed reports. I created hyperlink for each of the dashboard and linked to detailed report in infoview.
If i need to see main report i've to close this detailed report. Now how can i make the detailed report open in same window and navigate forward and backward to the main report instead of closing.
I would appreciate if some one could provide any work around available if possible atleast.
    Thanks,

    Hi
Create two links one Back and one Next in each report.
Drag two free standing cells in the report and use opendocument syntax to create the links.
The thread Re: Hyperlink Back functionality may give an idea.

  • Create Hyperlinks that open in new tab or window?!

    Hello,
Ok, so, this has been asked other times for many versions of InDesign and most common response is to do it in Acrobat Pro. WHY?!!!! I couldn't even easily figure out how to do it there and frankly, don't want to. That seems so backwards and tedious to have to do...seriously. How is this not an option in InDesign Hyperlink edit creation/options yet?!! It is SO simple. Please tell me I'm missing something... I love Adobe products and especially CC products that are getting better and more time saving...but this is so dumb, I'm sorry. I'm no smarty software engineer but I know what user friendly is and how things should work for everyone...and it seems like an easy thing to make possible. Many people create PDF's in InDesign for viewing/downloading in a browser and this needs to be an option with-in InDesign CC. Simple as that. When the PDF is opened in Acrobat the links do open in new tab/window but NOT when it is viewed in a browser. This is why I should or maybe shouldn't work for Adobe, I wouldn't let little things like this, that actually makes a big difference in user experience, go unnoticed and unchanged over so many new releases and updates...or ever be taken away. I guess I'll put in an InDesign CC features request...
Thanks to anyone who agrees and relays...or lets me know I'm missing something.
    Andy

I would also like a solution to this problem. It seems to have been around for quite a while.

  • How to automatically create hyperlink destinations based on numbered list?

I am very new to InDesign and am creating a template for an academic journal. Each article contains a list of references at the end and the references are cited in the main text (like what you see in Wikipedia if you are not familiar with scientfic journal articles). In exported HTML, the citation in the main text should be hyperlinked to the coressponding reference in the reference list. I have two questions:
    1) It is possible to ask paragraphy style to assign each numbered item a hyperlink destination? If this is possible, I can then manually inserted hyperlinks in the main text.
    2) one step further, is there any way (e.g. script) which can then insert hyperlink to those destinations based on pattern match? For example, in main text, the citation to reference #1 appear in the text as [1] which should be hyperlinked to reference #1.
One more question, is there anyone who knows how academic journals handle the flow from InDesign to html? Certainly, the exported html cannot go directly online without further editing.
    Thank you.

    Hi Eric,
I posted the script here. But it should be adjusted to your particular document. (Anyone with basic scripting knowledge can do this). I am sure it won’t work as it is. I assume that “comments” and “references” are in two different stories.
Can I have the scripts from you (for a fee or free)?
    I don't sell my scripts: they're free.
    Can the scripts handle the pattens like these [3], [1-5], [3,4], [6, 8, 11-13]?
This script can't, but another handles both single page numbers and page ranges like so:
I can post it as well.
Now I’d like to make one thing clear:
I made a set of scripts for creating hyperlinks in InDesign documents for further exporting them to ePub/HTML. I can’t make a script that would work for everyone because all books are very different. I simply adjusted scripts for every book I had to work with (mainly changing GREP expressions and names of styles) and I have numerous variations of scripts. I can post them if someone is interested but you should be aware that they have to be reworked.

  • Is it possible to put a link (hyperlink) on a row in a report!!

I need to know if it is possible to put a link (hyperlink) on a row in a report via a form or other method. The link will be different for each row.
I know you can add a column link but this will be the same link for each row.
I also know its possible using websheets.
However i am using an interactive report and form in a database. APEX 4.1.
The best method would be through a form. When the user creates a new entry for a row he can also add a link.

How do you propose to built the link? Is it embedded in a table? Built by a function? Yes, you can have a link in a report, just as a column like a date and an image..
If you offer more information, maybe SOMEONE can offer up more help..
    Version of APEX?
    More details on the links?
    Thank you,

  • Is it possible to have a clickable hyperlink as a field under Products?

As the subject says, is it possible to have a clickable hyperlink setup as a field in the Products table somehow? Basically I have a field that automatically constructs a hyperlink based on an assignment and I'm wondering if there is a way you can set it up so that you can just click on it and have it open up Internet Explorer as opposed to having to copy the link and paste it in a browser.
    Thanks!

    Ryan,
Have you looked into trying to use the Web Pane URL for your scenario?
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mdm550/helpdata/en/8c/ca6d92fe624549a2809c8d02ab063c/frameset.htm">Web Pane URL</a>
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mdm550/helpdata/en/43/79696a7c9c6fcae10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm">Web tab</a>
This will allow you to create a URL to search Google for example based on the data contained your fields/attributes. You need to create the custom URL in the Console and then activate the option from the configuration settings in the Data Manager. This will then activate the Web tab for this link, all internal to MDM.
Let me know if you need more detail.
    Thanks,

  • Creating Hyperlinks

I know how to create hyperlinks to a place in the same document, and to another document; the result is that it just goes to the top of the other document.
What I'd really like to know is how to create a hyperlink to a specific place
in another document.  For example, I have a series of  documents that necessarily use technical terminology.  I also have a glossary in a separate document, which is rather long.  What I need to do, if possible, is to
create a hyperlink where a term is used, that will go to the definition of that term in the glossary.
    Is this possible to do?
    Creacon

We can use bookmark to make this, here are the steps:
Insert a bookmark in the destination file.
Open the file that you want to link from, and select the text or object you want to display as the hyperlink.
Right-click and then click Hyperlink on the shortcut menu.
Under Link to, click Existing File or Web Page.
In the Look in box, click the down arrow, and navigate to and select the file that you want to link to.
Click Bookmark, select the bookmark that you want, and then click
    OK.
You can also create a hyperlink by dragging the specific content from another Word document to the file that you want to link from.
Open the document where you want to add a hyperlink.
Open the destination document and select the text, graphic, or other item you want to go to.
Right-click the selected item, drag it to the task bar and rest over the icon of the document to which you want to add a hyperlink.
Release the right mouse button where you want the hyperlink to appear on the page, and then click
    Create Hyperlink Here Button image.

  • Is it possible (or feasible) to create an entire website full of animations using Edge Animate?

Back when Adobe Edge preview first came out I tried making this site:
http://www.bluekanji.net based on a friends request to have everything animate, with sound effects, music, etc.  It didn't turn out too well and the coding is a mess because of my lack of coding knowledge and trying to jam stuff in there when Edge didn't allow it at the time.
I'm currently recreating the site from scratch, but hoping to make it all one cohesive page, instead of every animation having to be on a new page.
My main issue now is that when I have any animation play the next one will overlap and block one another and it becomes a pretty big mess.  So my question is is it possible to do a full site full of animations with Edge Animate (and/or with Edge Reflow)? Or is it better to try something else?
    Thanks.

There has been many new features added post the preview releases. You can check the below links for information on what added in 2.0,3.0 and CC 2014 releases.
    Latest Version: https://helpx.adobe.com/edge-animate/using/whats-new.html
    EA 3.0: https://helpx.adobe.com/edge-animate/using/whats-new-edge-animate-30.html

I would recommend you to try Edge Animate/Reflow/Muse for creating websites and let us know if you encounter any issues.

  • CS4 creating hyperlinks in TOC from paragraph style sheet

    Hi all
Does anyone know if it's possible for a script to find all instances of text in a named paragraph style  and then link each instance to the corresponding entry in a modified TOC?
The workflow is for a 800-item catalogue created in CS4. At the moment, the title for each entry is set in a dedicated paragraph style; once all entries are signed off, I generate a TOC listing all the items. All very straightforward.
My client now wants an interactive PDF so that clicking on any item in the TOC will take him automatically to the relevant page in the catalogue. I want to avoid having to generate those hyperlinks manually… I know very little about scripting but I do know this is exactly the sort of thing that should be possible:
    – find first instance of text in Para Style 1
    – create hyperlink named with that text
    – link this to corresponding text in Para Style 2
    – repeat for all instances of text in Para Style 1.
But I also know that the hyperlink/cross-reference function can be a little counter-intuitive and I don't know whether I'm asking for the moon on a stick.
    Thanks!

There's an excellent script* called LiveTOC which does exactly what you're asking for. It allows you to turn all your TOC entries into hyperlinks for PDF export.
    Check it out: http://www.freelancebookdesign.com/scripts/live-toc

  • Sorting elements by category - is this possible in Muse?

I have a page that may eventually have 100+ groups of 3 separate elements, which all are connected with a musical artist. I would like the user to be able to sort through the list based on categories I create.
Here is the current site - http://www.vfepedals.com/support-an-artist.html
Here's an example of how another website does something very similar: http://www.jhspedals.com/
Ideally, it would sort through multiple elements, and each set would be contained in a fixed rectangular box (so I'm basically sort empty boxes that multiple elements could go in, much like LIghtbox).
There are many places on my website that this could be employed to make the site look better and be easy-to-navigate.
Is this possible in Muse? If so, how? What widgets do I need? I'm willing to invest some money if that's what it takes, but any solution will have to be something I can edit in Muse myself.

    Hi
You can try to use toolitp where insert the categories in trigger and the items in container , so when user will click or hover over trigger it would show up the category clicked.
The exact behavior that you have mentioned cannot be achieved without using custom code implementation, but with Muse widget you can achieve a similar effect.
Additionally you can checkout few interesting widgets in library to use :

  • Using Adobe Muse to create master pages

    Hi,
Is it possible to use Adobe Muse to create master pages for Sharepoint 2013?
The Muse product creates the Javascript, css and html files, with the images etc.
The Muse product looks ideal to create the master pages with no coding required.
    Nick

For SharePoint 2013, yes you could absolutely use this tool to create your HTML (this post is in the 2010 forum, so just making sure).  In SP 2013 you can use the new Design Manager to upload HTML which then gets converted to a .NET Master Page.
So long as Muse turns out valid HTML, you should not have an issue.
