Is it possible to detect when CSS styles are rendered?

I have a dynamic text field that loads htmlText with styles from a CSS object.  Once the CSS is applied I need to get some text metrics from the field.  Is this possible?  My code base works fine with inline font tags, but we would like to move to CSS.  TIA

Yes, you can do that using Exit Hook method wdDoExit
We have used following hook to unlock the locked record of database table, which was open in edit mode.
//@@begin javadoc:wdDoExit()
  /** Hook method called to clean up controller. */
  //@@end
  public void wdDoExit()
    //@@begin wdDoExit()
     wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("exit called");
    //@@end

  • Is it possible to detect when a user navigates away from a webdynpro page?

    I need to detect when a user navigates away to stop a timer set for the purpose of logging out a user after a certain amount of time. If they click exit I can capture the event but if they click another tab then I cannot. I know when in edit mode the SAP code for work protect will catch that and ask if you would like to save, but I don't think I have any access to that code. Does anyone know how they accomplish this and can it be done if the user is just looking at data also?

  • CSS Styles are Missing in WYSIWYG Editor

    I have had this problem in the past but I am working on my busisnes catalyst site in dreamweaver and then I connect and upload my files through the FTP Connection in the business catalyst plugin for Dreamweaver CS4. The problem I am having is that the CSS Styles that I create in a seperate CSS document and upload to the stylesheets folder are not showing up in the WYSIWYG editor. I have tried to modify the link in the head section of my html and I have tried to upload them through FTP and also the Media manger in the admin panel. How do I get my styles to show up in the editor?
    Thanks

    I've confirmed that my CSS classes are showing up in the Apply CSS Class dropdown of the editor for Web Pages and for Site Editor (ICE), but NOT in the editor for a Web App item description. Initially, this was the only place I was checking which was why I thought it wasn't working at all.
    Besides this, I've found that applying CSS classes in Site Editor does not work if the selection you are applying the class to is an anchor (for example, a selected class gets applied to heading tags once you deselect the text). If I have applied a class to an anchor from the admin editor or ftp then I select that anchor in Site Editor, the applied class appears as selected in the CSS dropdown, but if I try to change the class in Site Editor by selecting a different class, it does not set the class or have any affect on the existing class.
    Has anyone else had these issues or found solutions?

  • CSS Styles are lost

    Anyone seen this behavior? we have a single user whose laptop has started losing the styles (fonts, pictures, colors, etc.) when she opens the Agile PLM for Porcess web application. Its Win 7 and IE8. Its only the PLM app pages doing this. All other web pages and web sites seem to work fine.
    We have re-imaged the Laptop, and that didnt help.
    Any ideas? What is it missing?
    I tried re-installing .net framework too.

    We have discovered a new push of Trend Micro Scanner client update is causing PLM for Process 6102 to get a 504 for the styles.css file.
    Here is what security is telling us...
    "The IDF system was reporting that rule “Microsoft Internet Explorer CSS Parsing Remote Code Execution” was being activated. Something on that page must be either utilizing that exploit or code very similar to it. I had changed the rule from “Block” to “Detect Only” and initiated an update to all PCs."
    Should we open an SR in case a change needs to be made to your software?

  • Css styles in rendered html

    I'm trying to find where i can access the settings that determine the embedded style sheet that gets rendered with the html.I'd like to add a print style to the embedded style.
    Thank you
    Karl

    Hello,
    Your first way is the correct way to do it,
    style="background-color: #C6D4DD;font-style:italic;font-weight:bold;font:10pt arial;"[edit]
    While that is correct try this
    style="background-color:#C6D4DD;font-style:italic;font-weight:bold;font-size:10pt;font-family:arial;"[edit]
    It is standard and correct CSS every element should only have one style attribute. Can you put an example on apex.oracle.com of this not working?
    Regards,
    Carl

  • CSS style not rendering in design view

    I have style="max-width:600px" in a image but it wont show in design view on Dreamweaver CS4

    The parent file MUST be named with .shtml or .shtm as an extension.  It's that extension that tips the server off that the file contains server directives and that it should be parsed to find them (normally, fetched files are not parsed by the server).  Using these filename extensions will not affect the XHTML strict validation of the file (by the way, is there a reason for sticking with XHTML?).
    It is not necessary to have a testing server defined to see proper HTML includes rendered in Design view.  I believe that by renaming your file with the correct extension you will see this include expressed in Design view. It is a little unclear to me whether the correct syntax for a virtual include is to use the root slash or to omit it.  For example, Wikipedia says -
    The file parameter defines the included file as relative to the document path; the virtual parameter defines the included file as relative to the document root.
    Then later it says -
    The file parameter defines the included file as relative to the document path; the virtual parameter defines the included file as relative to the document root.
    There is, in fact, a big difference between these two statements!  From a personal point of view, I don't use HTML includes at all (always use PHP includes which are written differently).  But I think you can use the file include as I have shown safely - that's assuming that the two files are at the same level.

  • Is it possible to Detecting Apple IDs that are using my iPhone?

    This is the problem I'm encountering. My iPhone is stolen and somebody had registered it. Can I possibly know what is his/her Apple ID via my Serial Number or any suggestion? (Note: I have all the papers needed to prove that I bought the phone and etc.)

    No, you cannot get any such information.
    Unless you actually purchased the device brand new, this could be a valid screen.

  • RH-generated WebHelp doesn't display some CSS styles

    I've worked with RH for a while, including creating other WebHelp projects in RH that have been deployed without any problem. On my current RH9 project, however, some of the CSS styles are not being applied after the project output is moved to a network directory. When I open the project output on my Desktop, the styles all render correctly.
    The styles in question aren't especially unusual:
    DIV.text {
              width: 640px;
              padding-left: 25px;
              padding-right: 25px;
              padding-bottom: 25px;
              margin-left: auto;
              margin-right: auto;
              background-color: #EDEBDE;
    P.footer {
              text-align: center;
              font-size: 8pt;
              line-height: 25%;
              color: #A13619;
    The kicker is that some of the styles ARE being applied (e.g., background image), while the 2 styles above are NOT being applied.
    Some of the things I've already tried include:
    - creating a new copy of the CSS file
    - making sure the correct stylesheet is referenced in the HTML files
    - making sure the correct stylesheet is referenced in the MasterPage
    - making sure the correct CSS type is specified in the HTML files
    - adding "!important" to the styles that aren't being applied
    Has anyone seen / resolved issues like this before?
    Thanks!

    Solution:
    My supervisor and I huddled on the problem and eventually found these discussions:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4966952/ie-not-rendering-css-properly-when-the-site-is- located-at-networkdrive
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/167657/will-targeting-ie8-with-conditional-comments-wor k#answer-168131
    I opened the IE Tools > Developer Tools panel, and used the Browser Mode settings to check the variations (IE7, IE8, and IE8 Compatibility). IE8 displayed all DIVs correctly, while the other two apparently severed the CSS file from the HTM file.
    I had to do a mass find/replace, pasting another meta tag below the RH generated compatibility check:
    <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8" />
    And there was much rejoicing.
    As an aside, the new meta tag did not work when I tried to apply it to the Master Page....which makes sense, I guess.

  • Very strange problem! Disappearing Css Style Sheets plus 404's

    I am creating a fairly simple form and am new to php mysql and jquery. However, I am moderately skilled in css and html.
    I am on a mac with Snow Leopard using dreamweaver CS5. The problem started this morning when I uploaded a preliminary version of my html form page and a php script page.
    Having previewed it with no problems on my local system, I thought my main challenge would arise from stumbling my way through ironing out the scripting. I still have that to look forward to.
    The first anomaly that occurred was that I kept getting 404 errors. After hours of tinkering around and uploading many trimmed down modified variations of the html file, I finally got past the 404 error page.
    However, it only would appear without my css styles. The file was originally linked to a previous css style sheet and is linked to a new one on local system.
    After doing some firebugging, I discovered that my newly uploaded (20 times) html file was still linked to the previous phantom, css style sheet on the server as well as a previous php file that I had linked to in development stages.Both of which are not on the server. So I uploaded the whole bunch of them again and got the same result. Nothing changed. All the css styles are still there but not.
    I know what you're thinking, it's impossible.
    The only explanation I can come up with is that my linux apache server is putting my files in a nonexistent temp folder. And for some reason the my site.css file is not being overwritten or removed at all.
    I then uploaded new versions of the html file with different names, thinking on an off chance that the file name 'contactform' might have something to do with the problem.
    You know what happened the newly named files triggered a 404 once again.
    It doesn't make since to me! I am totally stumped!
    My site is http://www.zoeinjewels.com and the page in question is http://www.zoeinjewels.com/contactform.html
    I am really behind schedule so your help would be most appreciated.
    Thanks

    Your CSS file as wel as both of your JS files are corrupt.
    Re-upload these three files and your problem is solved.

  • Character styles & Body paragraph style not rendering as specified

    Hi, I am creating my first epub, and am using InDesign CS 5 (no intention of upgrading). I've constructed it as a book, each chapter in its own file. I am encountering two problems I am unable to think my way out of:
    1. None of the three character styles are rendering as they should.
    -"Bold" text is rendering much larger than "Body" paragraph style, even though both are specified at 18 px.
    -"Bullet" renders as UL, but at a much smaller point size than "Body" despite being specified as 18px.
    -"Ital" is also rendering a much larger font size than is should.
    2. I don't seem to be able to affect spacing between "Body" paragraphs, or below h1, etc.

  • Problem with Css styles not showing in live view or when i browse

    I am using Mac osx 10.6 and building website with Dreamweaver CS5.  Sometimes div tags i create not showing styles or rendering in live view or when I browse but  showing in design view. I looked in dreamwever faq and they talk about not showing in design view to toggle the display styles. That is not the problem becuase it is check marked and I tried turning off and turning on and made no difference.I am using firefox browser.
    It happened before the other day too. But all of my other pages in this site that i have created the same way building with div tags and css styles. So not sure what the problem is. Maybe someone has a suggestion here.

  • When I try to attach my css style sheet Dreamweaver gives me an error saying that my .css file appears to be an .html file and will not attach. How do I fix this so I can attach my style sheet?

    I have built a css style sheet in Dreamweaver. When I try to attach it to my html website, it prompts me that my "css file appears to be an .html file and cannot attach". I've tried removing the /* */ as suggested by other forums, but this has not resolved the issue. I was using css style sheets with no problem 2 days ago. Now I get that error message. How do I fix this so I can attach my style sheet?

    What does the code of the CSS file look like?
    An external CSS file needs to be written in CSS only (no html tags like <html>, <body>, <head>, etc ).
    It also must have a .css file extension, if yours has a .html extension it won't work.

  • How to Get Contribute CS4 to Update Available Styles when CSS is Updated

    I am using a style sheet on my website.  I recently updated the style sheet, adding a new style, in Dreamweaver.  When I go into Contribute, the style is not showing up.
    How can I force Contribute to get the updated data from the latest version of the CSS?
    I have about 8 people using Contribute to edit a site and I desperately need them to be able to see the new styles.
    Thank you in advance.
    Mary Beth

    Hi,
              The CSS you are defining are CSS classes right, not the ID? That is, in your CSS file, you are defining the new styles using the '.' symbol. If so, then can you ask your users to refresh the web page they want to edit (browse to the web page, right click to bring up the context menu and click Refresh menu item).
    Now, they can edit the web page, and the new styles would be displayed in the Styles menu. If that did not resolve the issue, can you ask them to recreate the connection to the website (remove the website connection and creating it again), or, quit and launch Contribute and click Connect button to connect to the website.
              If the new style is defined using '#' symbol, I don't think Contribute will display these styles.
    Hope this helps.

  • CSS styles disappear when previewed in browser.

    I created a web site following the Getting Started tutorials in Dreamweaver CS6.  However, when I preview in the browser, the main page shows properly but if i click a link, the other pages do not seem to attach to the style sheet - BUT the style sheet reference is present in the code.  Any ideas?
    thanks

    You are close to correct, but not quite there.
    If you have enabled the use of temporary files in PREFERENCES > Preview in browser, when you preview a page from DW, you will actually create a temporary page from the current one and it's that temporary page that is displayed in the browser. Why create a temporary page to preview? Well, if your page's code contains any root relative links (as opposed to document relative links) then those will not work if the page is previewed directly. When a temp file is built, those links in the actual page are converted to document relative links in the temp file, and this temp file is then handed to the browser to preview.
    Why don't root relative links work in a preview? When the browser sees a link like '<link href="/path_to_file.css"', it interprets the "/" as meaning the root of the HARD DRIVE, not the root of the site (browsers know nothing about DW sites), and will not find the linked file at that location (for example, C:/DW_path_to_file.css"). When those links are rewritten in the temp file being previewed as '<link href="path_to_file.css"', it works fine since the browser knows that means to look for the *.css file in the same folder as the file it is previewing.
    Make sense? By the way, this is how DW has *always* worked.

  • Unexpected error when linking CSS style-sheet

    I have been working on this site for over a month now. I have
    a linked external CSS style sheet and everything has been working
    seamlessly between Dreamweaver and the web. Today, I tried to
    create a template and then disliked it, so I deleted it. After
    doing that, my CSS rules were no longer displaying properly EVEN
    THOUGH my formatting and everything has remained the same.
    I have a feeling there is something cached behind the scenes
    that is messing this all up. Community assistance is greatly
    appreciated. This is not the first time I've been unable link a CSS
    stylesheet.

    upload the page and post a link, please.
