Is it possible to display table maintanence like SE80 object browser?

Hi everyone, I'm trying to do something with table maintenance but I cannot achive it yet. Therefore, I'm asking it to you.
In my program, I'm displaying table maintenance screens by using FM "VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL". It works fine.
However, what I wanna do is that displaying table maintenance screens in different container.
The first thing comes to my mind is the structure of SE80. When I double click on an item on the left side I want do display table maintenance screen on the right side.

How to display table data without using ALV and table element.

Hi,
        Its possible to display table data without using ALV and table element.
       Every time i am fetching data based on (customer,status) fields and displaying these data in my output using alv
       (every time i am fetching single row data ),
       But problem is alv occupying more space in the output , i want to display data part only i dont want field names,
       settings and header data etc..things.
      Give solution to display data part..

Does you mean that you need ALV without default Function Toolbar...? If this is the case, the easy solution would have been to use Table Element rather. But, if you need to use ALV only without Function Toolbar, you can do away with that as well.
In that case, after calling GET_MODEL, you need to add few more lines of codes to achieve your goal. Those lines are --

Here as you can easily notice that LV_VALUE is instantiated on CL_SALV_WD_CONFIG_TABLE. Now, using this LV_VALUE, you set standard functions as False to dis-allow their display.

You can make one table refer to (take data from) another.
Here is a simple example where I made a table named "Source" and duplicated the table and named is "Destination-1".
the table "Destination-1" refers to table 1 like this:
A1=Source :: A1
copy cell A1 in the table "Destination-1" , then select ALL cells using the menu item "Edit > Select All", then paste
you may now duplicate this table to make additional "copies" as needed. To duplicate a table, select the table, then select the menu iten "Edit > Duplicate"
NOTE: you should be aware that data flows FROM the table "Source" to the destination tables-- NOT the other way.

my requirement is to enrich Infoobjects in a planning cube that they meet certain requirements regarding the combinations: I have to make a manual data entry layout where users can plan on all possible characteristics combinations but those characteristics combinations must meet certain limitations.
I think I have to write the combination conditions in a DSO build an characteristic relationship function of type exit that accesses the table of the DSO
Then I think I get a data entry layout with all valid combinations.
What do you think?

Error while creating a Event in Table maintanence gen

Hi,
I've created a table maintanence gen every thing worked fine...i wanted to create a event 05 at new entries in my table main gen so i did it and wrote a subroutine inside it without any logic since i thougt of doing it later and just saved it and came out out the event creation......Now when i want to go to same even the its pops up a Information error which says 'Function group zxyz cannot be processed.' I cant open any thing from the main menu of the screen...like from environment or from utilities...for every thing it pops up the same message....is it bcoz of the event which i've just created......if i still want to delete it...its not allowing me to go into the event again..how to do it guys...suggest me

Check whether the function group u created is ACTIVE or not.
Go to se80. Give the FG name.. check it. Check all the includes in the Function Group whether they are ACTIVE or not.
Try checking the Package in the TABLE MAINTANCE GENERATOR screen. Assign the Function Group to the correct package.
I think this solves the issue.
check the FG name in display mode in the TMG.

Is it possible to display only dynamically selected fields in the out put? i need to display set of columns in the selection criteria, but in the output i have display only input given fields. because i need to convert it into .csv file. So i have to display selected fields from internal table. In oracle they are using"execute immediate". is there any equivalent in SAP?

If yes, there are concepts like RTTS which facilitates it.
Yes, the select query also supports dynamic selection of fields. ( Please care about ( ) in dynamic sql ).
Do more research on Field Symbols and statements like ASSIGN COMPONENT OF.

The purpose of table maintainence generator is to enable the table maintenance through SM30, and to implement and validation etc on table field inputs.
SE11->Utillities->table maintainence generator
You need to enter the values of following fields:
1. Table name
2. Authorization group , and authorization object (select the suitable one )
3. Function group and package
4. Maintainence type : single or double screen maintainence view depending on the option selected.
5. Maintain screen number : you may specify a value or let the system generate one for you.
The validation code for the table entry is written in the flow logic of this screen. Even some of the fields may be made display only , by adding suitable code in the logic or directly disabling the input in table control in the layout.
Table maintanance is for creating,adding datas to an existing table.
it is for adding muiltiple records at a time in the table
A table can be manipulated by a program or manually.
When creating table, you will find a check box 'Table maintenance allowed'. If we
check that option, we can manually enter entries using SE16 or table
maintenance generator screen.
SE16 is for data browser.
Go to SE11, give the table name and click on change. Then Go to utilities--> Table
maintenance generator.
In the table maintenance generator screen, we should give Authorization Group,
Function Group name (Function Group name can be same as table name),
Maintenance type can be one step or two step, usually we will create with one
step. we should give maintenance screen number. After clicking on create button,
a table maintenance generator will be created.
To check it go to SM30 . In SM30, we find display, Maintain options.
We can view the table contents by choosing Display and we can create table
entries by choosing Maintain.
In the production system, end-users will not be having access to transaction
codes like SE11 and SE16. Developers will not be having access to many
transaction codes including the above two.
To view the contents of the database table, we will use SE16n in Production
system. Please find out the difference between SE16 and SE16n.
All these authorizations will be maintained by BASIS team, by creating access
profiles.
So in order to edit or create the contents of a database table, we should go for
table maintenance generator. In real time, authorizations will be maintained in
production system. (even in development and Test systems to some extent).
There is an audit like Sarbanes-Oxley Act for American clients, where every thing
will be audited by government agency. To know more about SOX, use the links on
the right hand side of this page.
The second reason is, we can edit or create multiple entries at a time, using table
maintenance generator.
Apart from that we have options like 'Enter conditions' in table maintenance
screen SM30. Please try to find out the use of those, by creating an example.
Table Maintenance generator: Difference between one step and two steps.
While creating table maintenance generator, we find below options:
When we choose one step, we have to give the screen number in Overview Screen field.
When we choose two step, we have to give both overview screen number and single screen number.
You can give any number for screen. Dont give 1000 screen number. As this
number is reserved for selection screen.
When we choose two step, two screens will be created for table maintenance. For
single step only one screen will be created.
When we choose two step, table maintenance will work as follows
Go to SM30, give the table name for which you have created table maintenance-
Overview screen will be displayed. To create entries, when you click on new
entries. Another screen will be displayed, where you give input and save. You can
enter one record at a time.
Go to SM30; give table name for which you have created table maintenance-
Overview screen will be displayed; To create entries click on new entries, you can
enter the records on the same screen. You can enter multiple records at a time.
We use single step generally, as it is user friendly.
To completely understand the difference and above points please do exercise by
creating table maintenance generator in both ways (using single step and two
step).

One step, two step in Table Maintenance Generator
Single step: Only overview screen is created i.e. the Table Maintenance Program will have only one screen where you can add, delete or edit records.
Two step: Two screens namely the overview screen and Single screen are created. The user can see the key fields in the first screen and can further go on to edit further details.

Is there any possibility to display only tables names and tables comments at a diagramm (this means without any information of the column definitions)?
In case you need to understand an existing table layout this would be very useful (As I remember right, ERWIN has this feature).

No cell merge possible with adf table?

i know that there is no cell merge possible with adf table.
however i read that with trinidad table it's possible.
my table has data like this:
d1 - tommy - 5
d1 - tommy - 7
d2 - burpy - 3
d2 - burpy - 4

now i have to merge first column (dog id) where id is same -
d1 - tommy - 5
--- - tommy - 7
d2 - burpy - 3

i am creating this dog table thru a data control on jspx page.
can anyone suggest some help?
or will i have to use html table for it? i really want to avoid html.

Possible to display external web page??

Hi everyone,
is it possible to display an external webpage by, for example, specifying the URL of the page? It would work a bit like frames.
I have a table with a list of reports, each of which links to a "report". all data is obtained from a database.
We need to be able to click a report and have it load it into some sort of panel or layout container based on the URL. I know how to do it using links in the table to open a new page. but i do not want the user to navigate away from the page or have a popup when selecting a link. i'd place the "report placeholder" in a layout panel with scroll css settings.
I wouldn't mind working with frames either.
could anyone suggest a nice mechanism to either load an external page in the same one being viewed or a solution using frames (is it even possible to use frames in JSC2 and JSF??)?
i don't need anyone to give me a whole code, just the idea behind developing something like this.

I did the following to display an external website:

However, I read that it is also possible by putting a markup component with tag attribute set to "iframe" but I did not have a chance to test it yet.

Is it possible to display record detail across and down? I would like to create a simple form that displays records from one column in one table. This table has many records, so I would like the data to be displayed in two directions, as is possiblie in Reports Developer. In other words, have 3 columns with 5 rows all displaying the same column from the same table. Ex:
code1 code6 code11
code2 code7 code12
code3 code8 code13
code4 code9 code14
code5 code10 code15
FYI - the main reason I want to do this is to create a fancy form that is an LOV. I plan to have each column next to a check box. Currently, we have the column next to a check box, but with only one column the user has to do too much scrolling to get to see the various codes.

You could do a JSON product dump and tie codes to url's, then tie this to an autocomplete search bar with a click through or delayed auto navigation...

Let us take an example H2O, If we print it in this way it won't be meaning full, So i want to display this like
H Subscript 2 O. I have a requirement for a column to always to display this kind of values, Is it Possible?
