Is it possible to duplicate an item in the project panel with scripts?

Hey  all, I'm trying to make a script that will duplicate an item in the project panel. I know you can duplicate an item in a comp, but I'd like to duplicate a project Item...app.project.item(2).duplicate();
Something like that, is it possible with some other coding to do that?
Thanks

Dave, I'm trying to duplicate in a script running inside AE.  I guess I could try to do a system command to duplicate, but I'd really like to do it inside AE so I can keep track of the new layer.

    IIs it possible to retrieve deleted items from the Pages App? Thanks

    From within the Pages app, no. If you have an iTunes or iCloud backup that would have contained the file, and you are backing up Pages, it could be received via a restore using that backup (this would wipe out any newer data however).

    I can not add items to the shopping cart with Firefox 8.0. Switch to IE everything works then.

  • How do you remove items from the assets panel that are duplicated?

    How do you remove items from the assets panel that are duplicated?

    If you add an item to a slideshow, you'll usually see 2 entries for that image in the assets panel - one represents the thumbnail, and the other represents the larger 'hero' image.
    It sounds like you may have added the same image to your slideshow twice. You can select one of the hero images or thumbnail images in your slideshow and use the delete key to remove it. Then the extra 2 entries in the assets panel should disappear.

  • Is there a trick get around physical bundling of items on the front panel?

    Ok - so I appreciate how bundling items on the front panel into a cluster can make the programmatic code very slick and easy to access.
    I know this is completely obvious - but it forces me to arrange my front panel objects I would prefer not to arrange them. Here's why: I have my objects grouped together in a manner that reduces the number of datasocket read/write necessary for VIs to intercommunicate - they are grouped based on how they should be communicated to other VIs - not based on their physical arrangement on the front panel.
    It seems the only way I can organize my objects into a cluster that appears as a pink control/indicator block in my diagram is by assembling
    the objects into a cluster on the front panel... and this pink block is very useful as I can make local variables for it. This is much simpler than having all the controls and indicators bundled into a cluster for network transfer... but still having to use local variables for each control/indicator in order to use it elsewhere in the diagram.
    Ugh. I fear this message is too much rambling and not enough information for anyone to help me... I'm going to post it in the hopes that someone can follow me.
    I guess before I submit this I should remind you of what I was hoping to accomplish - to use the front panel to group objects but then skirt the requirement of keeping this objects in the same physical cluster box on the front panel.
    again, ugh,
    Jim

    Place all your front panel objects the way you want them then in the block
    diagram use the Bundle by Name vi to create a cluster.

  • Missing Items in the Action Panel

    Hi!  I'm making my way through Adobe Flash CS4 Professional Digital Classroom and am stumped by one of the directions.
    I'm learning the basics of ActionScript 3.0 and it says, referring to the Action Panel, "Press the Add a new item to script button and choose flash.display > MovieClip > Methods > stop."
    However, when I click the Add icon, it lists only:
    Top Level
    Language Elements
    adobe.utils
    air.net
    fl.accessibility
    fl.containers
    fl.controls
    I don't see flash.display anywhere. What did I miss?

    Thanks, but I don't think that's it.
    This is what I see:

  • Colored flags for every item in the project explorer

    Hi all!
    A potential new feature?...
    Currently we are not able to give a VI or an other element in the project explorer a flag to indicate it's working status. The easiest way is to show a flag or a checkbox in the row of the item. The flag should be in user defined colors.
    This would be very helpful to set up drivers from a template, or in every case we have to update a project.
    To simple to implement?
    Please vote to change the world ;o)

  • Default items on the Inspectors Panel

    Aperture includes: Exposure, Levels, and White Balance as the default items that show up in the Adjustments section of the Inspectors Panel.
    I would like it if "Highlights and Shadows" was also in the Inspectors Panel when it launches ... it seems like there should be (and probably is) as setting somewhere when I can tell it what to display, I just have not found such a setting yet.
    Anyone have a clue where to find such a config setting?
    Thanks,

    No one else has found the setting just yet. About the closest is are shortcuts for brining up the other adjustments:
    Control-H - shadow/highlight
    Control -S - sharpen
    Control-M - monochrome mixer
    Control-N - noise reduction

  • Is it Possible to have multiple customer on the projects with 100% contr

    Hi Dina,
    Can you please help me out in understanding the scenario where you have more than 1 customer with 100% contribution so that you can invoiced them individually with respect to their agreement?
    I also wanted to know the significance of check box - Customer At Top Task and -Invoice Method At Top Task on Revenue and Billing Inforamtion Screen.
    Thanks

    Hi
    Invoice Method governs the billing method, the way you generate invoice to the customer.
    Oracle's Projects Billing support the following methods -
    WORK - the system calculate the bill amount of each expenditure item based on bill rates or burden. The billing amount is saved on RDL(Revenue Distribution Lines) of the expenditure item . The invoice includes summary of the RDL's.
    EVENT - The invoice includes multiple lines, a line per each billing event. Events are fix amount records. An event can be entered manually through the form, interfaced from external system or generated automatically based on customizable billing extensions.
    COST - It is a particular case of EVENT, where Oracle redelivered a billing extension that calculates invoice amount based on the percentage of actual costs from total approved cost budget.
    Usually, the invoice method is selected on project level, on the same place you set up the project revenue method.
    For billing, you have the option to set up the invoice method separately at top task level. This feature allows you to generate a T&M invoice (WORK) from expenditures rolled up to one top task, while billing a separate invoice by fix price events entered on other top task.

  • How to dynamically duplicate an item on the stage

    Hello,
    I have a box (lets call it 'xBox') on the stage that contains
    a couple comboboxes and buttons.
    One of the buttons (labelled 'add new search feature') when
    clicked will duplicate the whole box 'xbox' and give it a new
    unique name that can be referenced. So, now there would be two
    boxes on the stage that look exactly the same.
    You can click the 'add new search feature' button repeatedly
    and each time a new 'xbox' will appear at the bottom below the
    previously created 'xbox's....
    I have played with states some, but am unsure how that would
    apply to an infinite amount of new 'xbox's being created.
    Is this possible? Any help is greatly appreciated.
    here is the code:
    <mx:Box direction="horizontal" borderStyle="solid"
    paddingTop="10" paddingBottom="10" paddingLeft="10"
    paddingRight="10">
    <mx:ComboBox id="xField" width="100%">
    <!-- An inline data provider -->
    <mx:Array>
    <mx:Object data="0" label="Yards gained" />
    <mx:Object data="1" label="Shotgun" />
    <mx:Object data="2" label="TD" />
    <mx:Object data="3" label="Down" />
    <mx:Object data="4" label="Leading" />
    <mx:Object data="5" label="Quarter" />
    <mx:Object data="6" label="Turf/grass" />
    <mx:Object data="7" label="Stadium type" />
    <mx:Object data="8" label="Home" />
    <mx:Object data="9" label="Opponent" />
    <mx:Object data="10" label="Month" />
    <mx:Object data="11" label="Season" />
    </mx:Array>
    </mx:ComboBox>
    <mx:ComboBox id="argument" width="100%">
    <!-- An inline data provider -->
    <mx:Array>
    <mx:Object data="0" label="Equals" />
    <mx:Object data="1" label="is greater" />
    <mx:Object data="2" label="is less" />
    <mx:Object data="3" label="is not" />
    </mx:Array>
    </mx:ComboBox>
    <mx:TextInput id="enter_data"/>
    <mx:Button label="Search"/>
    <mx:Button label="Add new Search Feature"/>
    </mx:Box>

    Okay, what you want to do is, make a custom component out of
    the xBox. Then in your main application you wan to make an array of
    objects. Every time the button (to add xBoxes) is clicked add one
    to the array, then also add it to the main app's list of children.
    You want to add it to the array so that you can still reference it.
    Try something like this:
    import xBox;
    import mx.collections.ArrayCollection;
    private var xBoxArray : ArrayCollection = new
    ArrayCollection();
    private var location : int = 1;
    private function buttonClickHandler() : void
    var temp : xBox = new xBox ();
    xBoxArray.addItemAt ( location, temp );
    whereYouWantTheXBoxesToGo.addChildAt ( location,
    xBoxArray.getItemAt ( location ) );
    <mx:Button click="buttonClickHandler()"
    label="More xBoxes" id="360" />
    <mx:Box id="whereYouWantTheXBoxesToGo"/>
    <!--
    -->
    This is just a rough guide of what to try. But something like
    this should work.

  • Is it possible to add an item to the context menu when you control-click...

    an application? More specifically, when someone ctrl-clicks my application, I want an item to appear in the pop-up menu and if selected, to run an apple script. I was looking at folder automation and all and it seems like the area where I would look to do something like that. I have been looking for a while and can't seem to find it.
    I found something about making an action specific to just your app such as: MyApp.app/Contents/Library/Automator/MyAction.action. Maybe I am barking up the wrong tree. Can this be done? If so, how? So far I do not see how to add something to that menu.

    Ok, I found out that thing I am looking for is a CMM (Contextual menu modules), but so far I can only find references to ones made, not how to make one.

  • How can I use the tabbed panel with the accordion panel options of close all panels and over/not overlap the items below?

    Ideas for features in Adobe Muse

    I assume this is what you want to achieve in the footer....
    Make sure in Muse before you export that the panel is closed, and also as Brad suggested, make sure Overlap Items Below is unchecked. I would also check the "Can Close All" button.

  • Removing an item from the Project list

    When I open PP, it gives me a list of projects I worked on.
    I know that if I go and delete the project file, it will disappear from the list. If I want to keep the actual file, though, is there any way to remove it from that list?

    I help people with their projects now and then, and on occasion the people I am helping are creating something a lot worse than "naughty". Even at my advanced age some of this stuff makes me blush.
    More often than not the project names are cryptic or innocuous. Every now and then they are explicit. There is no need for me to open Premiere Pro with someone looking over my shoulder, and have them see some of those names.

  • Is it possible to add UNC paths to the favorites menu with a batch script?

    Hi all,
    at present the office I work in uses mapped drives, this works well for people in our office but one people talk with the other offices things go south as they have no idea what a t drives is. So I would like to move my users away from the mapped drive and
    add the folder locations to the favorites menu.
    Short of making the shortcuts and asking each person to copy them in to the folder location there must be a way to write a script to do this? I have looked at using mklink but that failed.
    This is the code I used
    mklink /d %userprofile%\Favorites\tech \\brisfp01\Tech
    Any other ideas?
    Thanks

    it is called an "Internet Shortcut"
    $Shell = New-Object -ComObject WScript.Shell
    $shortcut = $Shell.CreateShortcut($FullPath)
    $shortcut.TargetPath = $Url
    $shortcut.Save()
    Look in Gallery for more examples.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Is it possible to Change Directory structure once the project is developed?

    Hello,
    I am a Newbee to OAF development, I recently developed a JSP page using the oracle recommended directory structure "<companyname>.oracle.apps.<custom directory>." ie., for ex: "*xxcom*.oracle.apps.xxco.xxco_mapping.server", the page worked perfectly fine when I ran it from jDeveloper.
    but when I tried to deployed the same in the server to run from Oracle Applications, I found that our organization's unix directory structure where I need to deploy the files is not the same, they are excluding the "<companyname>" directory in there structure, the directory structure in unix looks like this "$JAVA_TOP.oracle.apps.<custom directory>...." ie., for example: "/u06/appsw/appdevcomn/java/oracle/apps/xxco", so now I cannot deploy the page I have developed.
    How do I resolve this issue? can I change the directory structure in jDeveloper now to match that on the server, ie., change it to "oracle.apps.xxco.xxco_mapping.server" instead of "*xxcom*.oracle.apps.xxco.xxco_mapping.server"
    Thanks

    Yes, it is called refactoring. PLease see the link below:
