Is it possible to enter only numbers in the field

Hi expers,
I want that when my user is giving input in the empno field of my form in enter query mode , he or she will be able to enter only the number not anything other then number . is it possible via oracle forms 6i.
If yes ,please let me know.
and another thing is that how can i get this type of output.

Thanks for your answer the second question ,i want that in the output variable i want to store the name of the employee in this fashion.
When i am givig dbms_output.put_line(output) the output should be like that.
'Rajat','aweiden ','kumar','sachin'
I am trying to append the name of the employee with the variable output.
The cursor is fecting the name of one employee in each itaration.
in the 1st itaration the value of output will be -'Rajat'
in the 2nd itaration the value of output will be - 'Rajat','aweiden'
and so on.
But when i am trying to append the '(single cotes) before and after the name it is giving trouble.
What i have done is;
for i in abc loop
output := output ||' ' '||i.empname||'',';
end loop;
but it is not working.
can you tell me how can i get the deserve output.

Does it begin with 1057? If not, it's a redemption code. In which case, see here:

If it is a serial number, go to system preferences>security & privacy>firewall>firewall options and be sure that PSE is allowed to call out.

PDF forms have problems displaying text and only appears when the field is selected

Hello,
I created some pdf forms to distribute to the company clients. But we are having some people complaining about the text visibility. When they have work in team, the pdf that they receive from a third person often appears unfill or without text, the text is only visible when the field is selected. I need to find a solution for this because our company products are base on this forms.
If there is any addition information that I should add to understand what is happening and how to fix it, I'll be happy to write it.
In the company, we all have mac and the forms where created innitially in Adobe acrobat 9 pro, but we have now Adobe acropabt XI pro.
The users have both Mac and Windows systems.

This is usually caused by the form being filled-in and saved by a Mac user who is using the Preview application to view the PDF. More information is here: http://kb2.adobe.com/community/publishing/885/cpsid_88564.html
It is a good idea to inform your users that Adobe Reader (or Acrobat) should be used to work with the forms.

How to restrict the text field to enter only numbers???

I have used "onkeyup" event to call a function "test", I am getting the alert message for every entry (even for a number), I dont know why I am getting this. Please help me out.....

I think I got the problem.
This script works fine when I run it on IE and use the numeric keys above the text keys,
but give error when I use the numerical keypad on the right.
I think you should change your if condition like this

Entering negative numbers into a field

How do I allow an item (non-base table) to accept negative numbers that are entered in the following way, "x-". I know that you can have a format mask with "x-". But that will not help me in this situation. Thanks in advance for your help!

I dont kno what is your exact requirement. But if you are trying to accept a -ve number you can just enter -30 in a number field. but if you want 30- to be entered in a field then you can not do it directly. The workarround may be create a character field let the user enter the 30-. Possibility is that he may enter alphabetic or alpha numeric ,in this case take the substring of the field and check if it is a number field or not. if its not then do raise a message and raise form_trigger_failure to force the user to enter a valid number.

Is there a way to enter specific numbers in the Adjust pane?

I need to repeat some adjustments such as exposure for a number of photos. But I can't simply copy the whole adjustment group and paste it because some of the other adjustments need to stay as they are. SO I just want to copy or re-renter one numeric value. The sliders are very imprecise and if I want to set the exposure to +2.0 it will sometimes land on 1.98 than jump to 2.01 etc... Is there a way to enter these values numerically instead of by using the sliders?

When you set a specific adjust for a photo you can copy those settings (the Copy button) and then apply (Paste button) to other photos. Those settings will be preserved until you set new ones and save them, i.e. you can close iPhoto, reopen and the setting will still be there to apply to photos.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

you can use patterns to format you input a little bit.
You need 2 patterns in your text field:
One for displaying ...
text{9999-AAA-999999}
... and one for editing.
text{9999AAA999999}

Use information message instead of Error message.Then it will not give u that field in non-editable mode.

Possible to SCREEN P2 clips in the FIELD without FCP?

I'll be in the field shooting Panasonic P2 cards and downloading to a mac laptop. I'm not sure if the producer has fcp on the laptop but I want her to be able to screen the p2 footage after it's saved off the card.
What's the best way to achieve this? It seems a bit tricky without fcp, and VLC doesn't bring up the p2 clips in a format that's screenable.
Any ideas?

JAVA CODE Restricting users from entering Fractional numbers in Data forms

Hi,
is there anyone who can help me with the Java Script code of ValidateData.js file?? I am very novice in scripting and find it very difficult to write a proper javascript code to restrict the users from entering fractional numbers to HEADCOUNT cell. I would very much appreciate if i get some help from anyone out there.
Users should be able to only enter whole numbers to the cells for Headcount entry.

How to enter numbers in Arabic font in the fields

Hi Everyone,
I installed Adobe Reader 10.0.1 multi-Language and I am able to enter Arabic alphabet in the fields, but when I enter numbers in the fileds, it is English. I don't have this issue in MS-Word. i.e., both letters and numbers depend on my keyboard setting and is English or Arabic respectively. The numbers setting in windows in "depend on context" and I think is fine. Do you know how I can fix this issue? Is there any setting in Adobe that overwrights the Windows setting for numbers?

Syncing only part of the playlists

Hi,
Is it possible to sync only part of the playlists? It seems that if I remove some of the songs from my hard drives, iTunes removes the files from my iPod as well. For example, in my iPod I have a playlist called ABC that contains a song DEF and GHI. If my hard drive no longer has these songs and the playlist's removed in PLAYLISTS, playlist ABC and the songs in my iPod will be deleted after I do a sync. How do I keep the songs in my iPod when they're no longer in my hard drive?

If I select just one of the many playlists I want to update, it seems to update just that playlist and remove everything else.
iTunes won't remove anything from the iPod if you are Manually managing your music.
To remove songs from the iPod, YOU have to select the songs and delete them yourself.
Just like if you want any songs on the iPod, YOU have to select them and drag them to the iPod.
So it doesn't do incremental synchronizing?
If you are manually managing your music on the iPod, it doesn't do ANY syncing.
