Is it possible to extract out the jars in XMLConnector.jar?

Hi all,
I've currently got Crystal Reports working properly in my Java Web project, which is using an XML Datasource if I include XMLConnector.jar in my WEB-INF/lib folder. However, we don't want to have to include this rather large jar in our project as it contains many jars that we already have.
I tried to extract out the jars inside XMLConnector.jar into my WEB-INF/lib folder, but now I get the same exception as if I had not included XMLConnector.jar:
com.crystaldecisions.reports.common.QueryEngineException: Error loading database connector. The class 'com.crystaldecisions.reports.queryengine.driverImpl.DriverLoader' could not be accessed.
Caused by: com.businessobjects.reports.jdbinterface.common.DBException: Failed to load the database connector 'crdb_xml.dll'.
Is there a way to diassociate the contents inside this jar, or if you can help me locate the exact libraries that are required to properly load XML datasources, and any settings I need to change.

The XMLConnector.jar is a jar of jars.
There are some Java Web Application Servers that have issues with unjarring jar of jars for the jars within.
So for those deployments, I do recommend unjarring XMLConnector.jar.
For a Web App, you'd put the jars in the jar in the WEB-INF/lib folder, and other content within WEB-INF/classes. This because there's no special handling of a jar of jars - the CRJ engine merely asks the classloader to handle the loading.

Is it possible to find out the names of the various objects (jpegs, pdf's, etc) in a keynote presentation?

I have to re do a keynote presentation for powerpoint -- the export feature won't work on the pc -- it simply says that it wasn't possible to display some of the text and objects because they had become corrupted, and were replaced with blank slides. I was wondering if it's possible to find out the names of the objects used in the presentation. That way I could save them to a folder and just paste them in to the PPT version on the PC. I know they have to be somewhere on the Mac that the presentation was made on, so is it also possible to find out where they would be?
I tried right clicking on the objects in the slide, but there was no 'get info' option, like there is in a finder window. Please help if you can.

There are a few options for you here. In the Inspector>Metrics Tab, when you click on the picture, it will display the name. Then you can use the find feature of the Finder to locate the picture. If you have Keynote set to save files as Packages, you can right click the file in the Finder (or control click) and then select Show Package Content. This will show you all the files that make up your Keynote and you can copy the pictures out of there into a new folder. Finally, if you can't find them any other way, you can select and copy the picture in Keynote, then open Preview and command-n (or File Menu>New from Clipboard) and then save the file to where ever you want so you can find it.

Compressed air is the best way to get the dust out. Don't worry about lodging dust inside somewhere, everything important is sealed up against compressed air.
Getting the keys back on is very, very, very fussy work. And that's presuming you don't break any.

Is it possible to lock out the Key Board commands in Keynote?

Is it possible to lock out your key board actions in Keynote? This happened all of a sudden. My keyboard has no effect on my trying to change text colors or enter characters. By using the mouse to add text the text box appears but I cannot change the character color.I can change it with the mouse and the new color is displayed but when I type nothing appears as the default color is white and the background is white. I did a copy and paste from a previous slide and I can enter the line to start editing but nothing appears. Nor can I delete anything with the Key board. This is only happening in Keynote. If I use the Key Board to send an email everything works fine. Can type and use the delete button so it seems that the Key Board is fine with other Apps, this is just happening in Keynote. It seems like the Key Board actions are not taking place, it is as if the Key Board is locked out of the Keynote functions.

Try resetting Keynote as follows:
remove Keynote version 6.5, you must use an application removal tool for this procedure to work: Appcleaner is free, I use Appzapper
empty the trash
Shut Down the Mac (Apple menu > Shut Down)
wait 10 seconds, then press the power button
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold down the Shift key, release the Shift key when you see the grey Apple screen
start up will take a few minutes longer than usual as the Mac is performing a repair routine
restart the Mac normally, (don’t hold down any keys during startup)
install Keynote from the Mac App Store

As I have mentioned in my last post in that thread, the biggest disadvantage of Notes interaction is that it is deleted when the users clear their browser cache.

Is it possible to call out the camera's propertypage in labview?The camera is based on directshow.

I'm currently working on a project that contains a part need to call out the camera's propertypage and enable users to change the property.I've learned that the propertypage has already been passed via directshow what we do is just call them out.
This has been achieved in C++ used simply just one function----olecreatepropertypage,this is how it works:first,create a blank frame;then use the function mentioned before to call out the camera's propertypage;finally fill it in the blank frame page and it's done.Thus I think this shouldn't take too many steps in LabVIEW to get the same result.However,I'm new to LabVIEW and I just learned it for couple of months,I really don't know where and how to start,I'm absolutely clueless!
I've managed to come up with two thoughts that might be the solution:1.use the CIN(I'm working on this one);2.use the Call Library Function Node(yet I don't know which dll to call)

Is It Possible to Blank Out the iMac Screen While Mirroring?

I have my iMac hooked up to a Sony Bravia HDTV and would like to know... I am mirroring the displays so whatever shows up on my iMac shows up on my Sony TV, can I black out the screen on the iMac so I can only see the images on the Sony TV? Or do I have to set it up so the Sony TV acts like a 2nd monitor and I have to drag stuff onto the screen?

Can you just switch off the mac screen with the brightness key (top row, 2nd from left)? That's what I do when having my macbook hooked up to an external display - which is most of the time.
You probably looking for something more 'automatic' - as windows would do when using an external display. Not sure if it can be done with mac.

Hi,
You view the sql generated by the workbook by opening the workbook in Discoverer and goto Tools->Show SQL and look at the FROM clause in the SQL statement.

Hi -- I love my iphone 4, but am reluctant to take it snowboarding with me in case i fall and shatter the front or back.

A SIM card is a SIM card. It has been possible to use an activated iPhone SIM card with another GSM phone since day one over 3 years ago. What isn't possible is taking an activated SIM card used with another GSM phone and simply inserting the SIM card in an iPhone without activating the SIM card with the iPhone via the iTunes activation process.

Is it possible to get out the rotation angle between template and shape using shape matching.vi?

I want to determine the orientation of a particle shape.
Using pattern matching is influenced by the texture of the particle.
Shape matching would be the right but I don't see a possibility to get the rotation angle of the found shape and template respectively.
Any idea?

You could try using particle analysis to give you the particle orientation. There is an example of this that ships with the Vision toolkit. Go to the Vision examples and look under Funtions>Binary Analysis and it is called Particle Orientation Example.

Is it possible to blow-out the power to a single USB?

I seem to have a bit of an odd problem; after moving my desk around I plugged back in my USB devices (external HDD and a 7-port USB hub). as I turned the iMac back on, the none of the USB devices was working.
After some fiddling around, I found out I plugged the wrong power into the wrong devices. So I swapped them back round and found my external HDD working again, but the USB stopped... so I moved the USB ports over and neither of the three worked. just to double check I tried plugging the iPhone directly into all three. Worked only on two, with closes to the side USB port not working.
Tried hub in the MacBook and no luck; tried my mouse receiver in the MacBook... no luck again.
Although I only just found out that I had a third USB port (dunno how I missed it) so no loss in that case but before I go out and get a new USB hub (or Dell monitor in this case now) and mouse, is it the case that I've blown the power to my USB devices baring in mind I plugged a HDD power cable into a USB hub? To me, that would pass more power than needed and blow it.

I think each port has a built-in overload, follow the reset step's in the [What to do if your computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1317] article to see if that resets the port.
+1. Shut down the computer.+
+2. Disconnect all devices and all other cables, except the keyboard and mouse cable(s).+
+3. Disconnect the computer from the power outlet and wait for 3 to 5 minutes.+
+4. Plug the computer back in and turn it on.+
+5. Reconnect the device(s) (one at a time if there is more than one) and test. Test with each port if you have more than one.+

If you had Read receipts enabled, your friend my know what time you actually read it. Whether that would be acceptable in a court of law is something only your attorney could answer for you. If you don't have Read Receipts enabled or if your friend has deleted the information, there's really no way to tell.

I want to upgrade to Lion but have been told I can't because i don't have a intel based system. Is it possible to change out the motherboard etc to do this upgrade

If you are running Snow Leopard OS 10.6 you do not have a PPC Mac as they cannot run it, so you already have an Intel Mac. The question is, which one?
Lion requires an Intel-based Mac with a Core 2 Duo, i3, i5, i7 or Xeon processor and 2GB of RAM, runing the latest version of Snow Leopard. The Lion upgrade can be installed on all your authorized personal Macs.
But in any case you cannot replace the motherboard with a different one in any Mac.
