Is it possible to have a Summary section display above every grouped Details section in a report?

I'm trying to create a report that displays a "Summary" section above every grouped Details section.
Is this possible in SSRS?  If so, what is the best way to do it?

Hi mmw_pdx,
In order to achieve your requirement, we can use two tables to separately display summary data and detail data. Then use a list to combine the two tables based on the Name group. For more details, please see:
Drag a table to design surface, add a group grouped by Food.
Right-click the first column to insert a column with Inside Group-Right, then insert the corresponding values.
Drag another table to design surface, insert the corresponding values.
Drag a list to design surface with current dataset, then drag the two tables in the list.
Add a group grouped by Name in the list.

  • Material Master possible to have field assigned to 2 field sel. groups?

    Division (MARA-SPART) is currently in field selection group 15 along with 5 other fields.  This group is assigned as mandatory for my material types. 
    I have two new material types and I want to make several fields mandatory, including Division from group 15.  However, I don't want the other 5 fields from group 15 to be mandatory for the new material types. 
    Can a field be in two field selection groups?
    How can I set this up if not?

    move mara-spart in another field selec. group (i.e. 299 if it's free).
    now in f.s.g 15 you have the other 5 fields mandatory...
    check the field ref. of your material type (OMT3E) and set it as optional in OSMR

  • Is it possible to have a different SLO for different support groups?

    Example:
    Service Desk receives an IR at 8AM and an SLO is applied to it with 4 hours to resolve at 12PM. An analyst assigns the IR to them and sets the first response. After 3 hours of troubleshooting they determine that it needs to be sent to another support group.
    The analyst clears their name from assigned to, and changes the support group. At this point the IR is calculated for the new support groups queue and a new SLO is applied extending the time for another 4 hours.
    I have it down that it does apply a new SLO, but it does not extend the time for the next tier. If there is 1 hour left on the old SLO, it just adds the new SLO but says the new target end date is 1PM instead of 4PM. Am I not setting it up correctly?
    I want the new SLO applied to the next support group to start at the time it was transferred to their group. 
    I have queues, metrics, calendars, and SLOs all setup for each support group.  

    Not sure that makes much sense, ITIL-wise. Then again, I am no ITIL-wizard. 
    Also you should consider the potential performance impact. Depending on the number of different support groups (I guess you also take priority into considertion?) and how many active incidents in the CMDB you could be facing trouble.
    Don't know about the technical implementation. Sounds about right though.

    Would it be possible to display the current (windows) path of the pdf file in the page footer? Something we do in Word & AutoCAD... is it possible & how in Livecycle?

    You can get the path of the current doc by using the command:
    event.target.path
    The filename can be retrieved by using:
    event.target.filename
    You can set these in a field on the master page so that it will appear as you want at bottom of every page.

    Would it be possible to have a project section in that forum on which we can share our experiences on the project we took part?
    I would really appreciate to have that section in order to share our knowledge and avoid some mistakes/decision that have stopped or made the projects much more difficult.

    For any given Bookmarks folder, is it possible to have the subfolders all appear *above* the individual links (as they do in Internet Explorer), rather than mixed together alphabetically? (Or is there perhaps an add-on that will allow me to do this?)

    Provisional solution is to place one or more zeros in front of your folder names, that way they should always appear on top in their alphabetical order.

    This isn't the actual clip, I fixed it by highlighting and moving everything over but it'd still be a good thing to know for the future. This is essentially the situation i'm talking about. I would never use it for something this simple, but when more complicated editing is being done it isn't so easy to just move all the clips over.

    You cannot submit a form by sections, but you may fill out sections of the form and save it and then submit the form at the end when you have completed all sections of the form.     The JTable is a tabular component. So it will always have enough columns to display the maximum row length. you don't have to pur a value in every cell.
    There are methods in JTable to remove horizontal and vertical lines and you could implement a renderer to make empty cells look like the background.

  • Group totals summary in another group summary section

    I have a report requirements that need to re-display the group total in a summary section.   Please see below simple example.  The second summary does not have fixed number of Units, it depends how many units are in each Department.
    I am not able to reproduce the department summary.   Is this possible in SSRS, I can do this in crystal?
    Example:
    Department ABC  Unit 100
    details line here....
    Unit 100 totals here
    Unit 120
    details line here.....
    Unit 120 totals here
    Unit 140....... 
    Department ABC summary
    Unit 100 total
    Unit 120 total

    In your case, we can work around the issue in SSRS. Suppose we have a dataset (DataSet1) include following fields: Department, Unit, Amount. Please refer to the following steps:
    Add a table in the report body. Please refer to the table structure below:
    Parent Group: Department
    Child Group: Unit
    Data: Amount
    Click the blank arrow of (Details) in the Row Groups dialog box. Click Add Total.
    Use the same method add total to the Unit and Department group.

  • Quorum votes summary section count error.

    I'm running SC 3.2u2, patched as at August 2009. I have a problem where the votes summary section does not match the number of votes by node - so now I'm unsure how many quorum votes I actually have present.
    The table below says that boba, jango and jedi each have 1 vote under the present column - so I should have 3 votes in the summary section. Yet the summary only shows 2 votes. Since I need to take the quorum server (jedi) offline I am now concerned that I could take the cluster down.
    Is there is a command that goes out and rechecks the quorum devices, and recalculates the summary section?

    FYI: 3.2u3 has a quorum server monitoring feature which highlights when the quorum device is unavailable.
    You will only have problems if you need to take a node down here because the remaining node will not be able to acquire the vote of the quorum server. The quorum server (or quorum disk) is only used if there is a cluster membership change.

  • Possible to Have ToC Default to Show Only Top Level (collapse sublevels)?

    Howdy!
    I'll bet I'm not the only one wishing for this.  Let's say you're using Captivate 4's Table of Contents feature with a longish movie of Cp slides, which is chunked into bite-size sections content-wise.  In the ToC, though, you can't mimic that same organization scheme; at least, the learner would first need to collapse all the ToC folders you've created so they see only the top-level listing.
    This can be a critical issue:  keeping the at-first-glance list in the ToC brief enough to be inviting to learners, yet allowing learners to drive which details are currently visible.
    A movie's topical hierarchy could be along these lines, for example ...
    Section 1 - National Brands
    What are National Brands?
    Why Are They Important to Our Business?
    Working with Nat. Brands
    Practice Your Knowledge
    Section 2 - International Brands
    What are International Brands?
    Why Are They Important to Our Business?
    Working with Intl. Brands
    Practice Your Knowledge
    You'd like to organize the ToC to show only the section titles (1st level) and to suppress the 2nd-level detail (slide titles) until the learner chooses to expand the folder to see those details.
    I've tried things like grouping the slides into sections in the Storyboard view and organizing the slides into sections strictly within the ToC -- both to no avail.
    Has anyone solved for this need yet?
    I'm all ears, and you'd be doing learners of the world a huge favor.

    Thanks for being 'on the case' and looking into this so quickly.  Your
    findings are encouraging, although my user base is generally working with
    IE 6 and FP8 or 9.
    Since the only thing I may influence is getting  IT to help push out FP10,
    I'm hoping it's more of a player- than a browser-version issue.
    I'll test things out by Monday and let you know the results.  Wish me luck!

    I just tested this on my local web server and it worked fine.  I created a
    blank project with 8 slides.  Created my TOC with grouping... 2 slides in
    each group.  I turned on self paced learning.  I tried with and without the
    widget and it picked up where I left off in either case.  See

    I am back with an update. I turned off Match on both the ipad and the iphone 5. By doing so I was able to sync my Iphone and ipad to itunes and store the music on my devices rather than the slow streaming.  So far this has fixed my problems with the iphone I have all my music, playlist, most of the album art and so on.  But the ipad is a different story.  I have the music and artist but not one playlist  I am sure Apple will have an upgrade soon that will address these issues they are usually very good about this. 
    Now have any of you experienced another problem that has existed as long as I have used faces in Aperture.
    I have over 200 faces and they are organized a-z problem is I have this going on A-Z folowed by a few that start over A-Z followed by another few A-Z and again a 4th time A-Z.  Imagine how difficult it is while I am showing someone the great features of my iphone, ipad and imac.  Which I do talk highly of all the time.  But how do I explain that even though their name starts with a or b or what ever they are not important enough to me to be in the first list of A-Z or even the 2nd or 3rd list of A-Z someohow they are in the 4th section of the list!!!!
    I have managed to get the Imac to fix this but for some reason the IOS devices do not.   Any ideas?

  • How can I add information to the Summary section of my Movies on the iPad?

    My iTunes movie's populate the summary section that appears to the left of the Movies cover art when you select it. It usually has a movie summary and directors and actors. I have been trying to add my own summaries for my movies ion there but no luck. The best I have been able to do is put in limited text in the video tab under description.
    Is there a way to add more information in the summary section?
