Is it possible to link a graphic button to a script?

I've used an email address obfuscator (http://www.projecthoneypot.org/how_to_avoid_spambots_3.php) to create a script. I would like to make it so that the user can click on the email button which would trigger the script and open the email client. Is this possible with Muse?

I've currently have the obfuscated email address put at the top right of the page as a text link. I'd like to use the email button just below it instead but I want to try to keep the spam bots from capturing the email address.

You can use it as a library item, or place the mucow file into Muse.
You can also edit the mucow if you know some javascript and you'd like to obfuscate the email address in a different way.

I'm trying to write a script that displays certain messages when a caertain button is pressed in After Effects itself (not buttons in my script). I was wondering if there was a way to, for example, display "This is a button" when I click on the render button. Yeah, I don't think it's possible, even if you were to write a C++ plugin with the SDK. You could definitely detect when buttons are pressed with you wrote a plugin, or even a ScriptUI plugin. As for attached event listenters to core AE ui elements, I cannot think of a way to do that off the top of my head. . . if I think of something that could work, I'll definitely post. Maybe you can be more specific as to what you are trying to acheive if you could do that. Why do want to detect clicks on ui elements that are part of the standard AE ui?

Please add a "link" or "share" button to replies / answers for easier referencing and linking.

Currently, the only ways to link to a specific reply or answer are:
Hunt through the poster's activity page and look for the link to the post in question, or
Inspect the post's HTML, extract the ID from the enclosing <li> tag, then manually construct the URL by adding it as an anchor to the top level URL.
Example: https://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/4fb9d481-741f-49ea-9059-ff1757ead511#b7e0c275-0645-4c3b-a314-480cb89ef04c was
constructed using method 2. See that link for a discussion related to this topic.
These both stink. A forum, especially one as full of information and as frequently cited as this one, really ought to have an easier way to link to specific replies.
Please add a "link" or "share" button (or something similar) that generates a URL that links directly to the post. Perhaps it could go down next to the action links (reply, quote, etc) or over near the vote button.
If one exists, I apologize but I have not been able to find it (and at least one moderator - the one who replied in the example link I just posted - is also unaware of it). This forum has been around long enough that I'm a bit surprised it does not have
this yet.

Sorry, not possible.
I want to correct myself. There is an old "hack" that still seems to work, which is to create a link to a file, but instead of pointing it to a file you point it to a folder. But Acrobat only lets you select a folder when you create such a link, so how to do it? Create a Word document with such a hyperlink and then use the PDFMaker plugin to convert the file to a PDF. This side-steps the Acrobat limitation and gives you a link to a folder, which when clicked will open it in Windows Explorer.
As I said, it's a bit of a hack and it's possible it will stop working if Adobe ever decides to block it, so use it with care.

I am having problems trying to add a link to a button and it doesn't work.
I converted a graphic to button and added the link to the button and when I tested the page show up as a blank page.
Please help..I haven't touched Flash like 10 years...seem to forget everything

Is it possible to place a native button in popup messages?

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement of sending the control back to driver application for my ADLC form after user has entered a sting of more than 105 characters in a text field. Since certain complex processing needs to be done and java scripting being a strict no no is it possible to put any native buttons embedded in the popup to transfer the control to the application from the form.

PSE 11- FX and Graphics buttons not working under Expert Editor Mode

Under 'FX' in Expert Editor mode, the Filters, Styles and Effects tabs do not work, and similarly under "Graphics" the shapes and text tabs do not work. I have looked at C:\Programmes\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 11\Plug-Ins\Panels and find the 'Panels' folder is empty, which suggests this is a possible cause?? EDitor and Organiser are otherwise (at long last after Organiser faults rectified) now working fine. PSE 11 is running under Windows XP Service Pack 3. Any suggestions please ??

Thank you Jon; I see what you mean about creating an FX layer and by double clicking I can bring up the adjustments. Problem is when I go into Expert Editor mode, at the bottom right side of screen are five 'buttons' - Layers, Effects, Graphics, Favourites and More. When I click Layers, I get the Layers Pane up on right hand side and it works fine as I can create different layers etc, however when I press 'FX' I bring up a plain grey panel with three headings at the top of it; Filters, Styles and Effects - these do absolutely nothing, even if I am working on an FX layer and I am guessing something has gone missing or been corrupted.
The 'Graphics' button now works (I told it to search Windows>Graphics, which I read in another post)

The way you had your code originally would be correct...

The 1046 error is indicating it doesn't recognize the link1 class. So the first thing you need to make sure of is that you have assigned the link1 class designation to whatever symbol that is in the library.

Linking media touch buttons on GT740 with iTunes.

Just wondering if it's possible to link the top touch buttons, located next to the eco, movie mode, cam, bluetooth, wireless and predefined user key button to operate with iTunes.
So far the only way they interact with iTunes is if I have iTunes screen on top, at which point it's easier to use the arrow keys or mouse. It'd be nice to be able to control iTunes while having another program (game) currently on top.

Is it possible to create a Print Button?

Is it possible to place a print button on an iWeb page so folks when viewing it online can print the entire contents of the page. The page(s)are quite long so one must scroll down to view it in its entirety, but when attenpting to print from the browser, only the first part of the long page will print. Maybe I answered my own question ... does this mean that iWeb pages should not be set longer that normal letter size?

You can also copy and paste the text into TextEdit and print that to a PDF. Then, create a button that says "print" and hyperlink that to the PDF. That way, anyone wanting a printout would have a nicely formatted document and you can include contact information in the document as well.
Most sites I go to just have "print" go to a plain "black text on white background" version of the same text that the user then uses command-p (control-p on PC's) to actually initiate the print, so that'd work as well.

I also have a newer MacBook Pro that has some different iTunes media on it than my iMac does, but they share iTunes accounts. Is it possible to link both devices at the same time, have access to media on both computers, and use the same iTunes account on both computers?? It seems Apple TV will only link to one iTunes account per computer, but can access multiple computers if different iTunes accounts are activated on those computers.

You can share multiple libraries with the Apple TV, they don't even need to use the same iTunes account. Just make sure that you use the same ID for homesharing on all devices.

No, its not possible because the graphic card is a little small chip which was fixed on the mainboard. The graphic card design is not the same like on the PC desktop.

No, the video card cannot be exchanged - you have a pretty decent GPU there; not sure why you'd want to switch it out. You can upgrade the RAM to a maximum of 16GBs. Apple recommends upgrading in matching pairs, so I don't really think I'd try 4GB and 8GB stick.
Both Crucial and OWC have memory available for the new Macs. Both are reputable dealers and know Macs well and I would only buy from these sources (and I would buy Crucial, were it me).
Although your Mac didn't come with a users manual outlining the installation of the additional RAM, you can download the late 2011 model users guide as the models themselves are almost identical.
