Is it possible to put a custom image in the main working area of Access to replace the norml gray?

Hi,
I'm working with Aceess 2007 and Later.
I would like to put a personal image as a background of the main windows of Access instead of the built-in gray.
Is it possible? And how?
Thanks, Lauro
PS: My serches reached only a
Lebans solution which is no more working

I did this once using a BUNCH of Windows API calls,
this article:
http://www.vbaccelerator.com/home/VB/Code/Libraries/Subclassing/SSubTimer/article.asp
and this utility:
http://www.vbaccelerator.com/home/VB/Code/Libraries/Subclassing/SSubTimer/VB6_SSubTmr_Binary.asp
Not for the faint of heart. You might be better off with a tabbed interface where the background is always covered with forms.

    Hello Nicolas,
just stumbled accross the topic. Well, if the portal service is
    ".../j2ee/cluster/server0/apps/sap. com/irj/servlet_jsp/irj/root/portalapps/com.sap.portal.navigation.mimeservice" as discussed above.
I have found the .gifs inside this par file of my NW7.0 Portal:
    \j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd\com.sap.portal.navigation.mimeservice.par.bak
Hope this is still interesting for someone.

its not what i'm looking for.
maybe its a JTabbedPane at all. if yuo know the Emule interface,it seems like all the comnents Connect,Servers,Transffers, etc they all like a combination of a jTogglebuttn and a JTabbedpane.
can it be a JToolBar and JToggle buttons in it,that has an event that changh the content of the JFrame?

  • Is it possible to put a "logout" button on the wake-from-screensaver dialog

Does anyone know if there's a setting or hack to put a "logout" option on the password dialogue you get when the machine wakes from sleep or screensaver (with secure option set).
Example: When our family laptop goes to sleep or screensaver after it was open in my account, it will wake up only with my password unless I make my wife's account administrator. If I do so, she can wake the computer without repowering it, but it wakes in MY account even though she's used HER username/password. That's not what we want. We want a logout button that will take her back to the multi-account login screen without rebooting.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
    Thanks!

it's not possible to add a logout button but there is no need. just go to system preferences->accounts->login options and enable fast user switching. then the wake from sleep dialog will have a 'switch users" button which will take you to the login window without logging out the current user. you can log into any user from the login window.
    Thanks!

  • Is it possible to create a customs declaration for the document which is cleraed from customs

    Hi Experts,
I want to generate a custom declaration for the declaration which is cleared from customs.
Is there any function module for this requirement.
    Please post your suggestions ASAP.
    Thanks
    Srinivas

    hi Srinivas,
It’s not possible to create a new declaration for a declaration that is
already accepted by customs. There could be below 2 possible options
    1. U need inbound cancellation messages in the respective activity sequence,
and then u can request customs by mail or phone to send the cancellation
message. Once the cancellation message is received document gets cancelled and
    u can create new declaration
    2. U need a new optional activity sequence that will have outbound
cancellation message. once u trigger the cancellation message, customs will
reply back with the cancellation confirmation message and u can create a new
    declaration
    Hope this helps...

  • Social comment control in custom page layout stucks at "Working" for read access users

    Hi,
I created a custom page layout which is attched to my custom content type.
i have a custom field control which is derived from RichImageField.
i have also added a social comment control to the page layout using
    <SharePointPortalControls:SocialCommentControl ID="SocialCommentControl1" runat="server"  />.
Now the problem is, an user who have read access for a pages library should post comments. but its not working and when the user clicks post button it stucks at working. but when the user is given contribute access then it works and the comments are posted.
And one more thing is if i remove my custom field control from the page layout, then user with read access can post the comment without any issues.
i am sure the issue is caused by my custom field control but dont know how to solve it. i dont want to give contribute access to the users as they can edit the content of the page also. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Possible to use rollover caption & image at the same time?

If a user points to an area on the screen I want a caption to display (with voiceover) AND an image to display elsewhere on the screen at the same time. Is this possible? Is seems as though, because of the layering of objects on the screen, this cannot be accomplished?

    Hi Karin
This is normally where one would consider using a Rollover Slidelet. Basically you roll over one area and a second area is revealed. The second area would then contain the image as well as the caption.

  • Is it possible to downsize a large image on the server side (before serving it to the user)?

One of the banes of my existence is resizing the same image several times because of the various contexts it appears in. For example, the main image in an article will appear bigger than it will on the index page, where many article teasers are placed. Then there's the image that goes in the Facebook "share" og. Then there's... you get the idea.
Same image, different contexts, lots of Photoshop resizing, lots of files to keep track of... but I save on bandwidth.
On the flip side, I can target the same (large) image and simply downsize via traditional HTML (width/height) on the browser end, but that will mean downloading a file that is 50-75% larger than what is actually needed. If the front page teaser displays a 1280px image at 500px, that's a huge (and potentially costly) waste of bandwidth.
    HOWEVER...
If I could do the same thing on the SERVER side... in other words, tell the server to take only the pixels it needs from the (large) image and serve only THOSE to the end user... then the same image could be used in each and every context, and only the necessary bandwidth is used.
Is this do-able? If so, what is the process formally called, and where would I begin to learn how to do it?
    Thanks!

That's amazing. I didn't think it was possible without saving files on the server first.
This will suit my needs just fine, but allow me to push my luck even further with the following "hail mary" question : would it be possible for the server to serve the PNG with a width of 100% of the container? In other words, the behavior would mimic width=100% but the server would still only serve as many bytes as are needed to fill that space.
Not only would I not have to create separate files for every resize (we fixed that problem with your suggestion) but I wouldn't even have to customize every link to a specific size.
I'm not expecting an affirmative on this one, but it was worth asking. =)

  • How can I put a background image into the cell of a table using Dreamweaver CC.

I want to place an image in a table cell and then be able to place editable HTML in the same cell on top of image. I also have Dreamweaver CS6. I can't get either one to do it using solution I found searching on web. Please help ASAP. What am I doing wrong. Example code would be great. Thanks!

No tables required for any of this.  You simply need a 3-column starter page.
In DW, go to File > New > Blank page > HTML.
Select a 3-column layout from the 3rd panel.
    Hit Create button.
Learn to use CSS floats, margins and padding to align elements.  DO NOT use positioning.

  • Is it possible or could it be possible to install a custom tab in the event repeat in the iCal?

Basically I work on a shift rota that repeats every 14 weeks.  When plotting my shifts being able to customise the repeat function could be a major advantage.

My husband works swing-shifts. Don't know if this may help you, but it may at least give you an idea or a work-around. His are 4 days on, 4 off, then 4 nights on, 4 off. He often works overtime shifts between or has shift trades, but at least if I have it mapped out on iCal, I get a general idea when he's working. So on my Mac, for instance, if I start at the beginning of September, I double-click to add an event, perhaps the beginning of a 4-day day shift.
    *  Where it says "New Event," I type "Day" (or "Night" or "Off").
    *  I check "all-day event" and all the other things that apply to his shift.
    *  His rotation repeats every 16 days, so I customize it that way, and I repeat the customizations until I have all his days, nights and off-days covered.
    Hope that remotely helps?

  • Map custom image dir on Standalone deployment?

Is it possible to map a custom images (or other) directory on the Standalone deployment server?
i.e.: images is mapped to /i/
    corporate images mapped to /ci/
    thanks - Karen

    Hello Karen,
as for the current release 1.1.1, only +/i/+ is supported directly in standalone mode. I assume you can't just reset the images prefix on your APEX instance. So you'll either have to use a "fullblown" J2EE Container for that purpose, or put a HTTP proxy in front of your standalone APEX Listener. Many proxies, e.g. Apache HTTPD, can be configured to do reverse proxying for a certain URL-path (e.g. +/apex+), but serve locally on others (e.g. +/i/+ and +/ci/+), so you could copy your images into the proxies document root.

  • WDS for custom image deployment via PXE

I've recently spun up a 2012R2 server and I'd like to use it so I can netboot clients to it and install a custom image on the machine, no hassle.  I have figured out how to take an image from a Windows 7 install disk and add drivers to it.
However, I'm wondering the best way that I could configure an image to use that has all programs, profiles, updates, and drivers on it for a 'universal' install. Is this possible?
For example, can I have a 32-bit image that has Chrome, FireFox, and some other programs on it, complete with any drivers that might be needed for NIC and WLAN cards, graphics adapters, etc? And then a 64-bit image for the same thing. Ideally, these
would house drivers for any of our machines, so I could PXE boot a 64- or 32-bit desktop or laptop, regardless of the model (They're all one manufacturer) and have them install the image and be configured, ready to go?
I would also like to know how I could create a custom image/ISO from a machine that is already ready-to-go as a template.
Thank you for answers in advance.
If it helps, i'm on a Windows 8.1 x64 machine myself, but the machines I'd like to image are Windows 7 (both x86 and x64).

    Yea.  In a nut shell:
    1. Do the install and create the needless account the setup process forces you to create.
    2. On first log in enable the original default Administrator account and give it a password
    3. Log in with the default Administrator account.
    4. Delete the local account that setup forced you to create
    5. Go to Advanced system Settings --> User Profiles, and remove the profile for that account.  This is important,...this removes the registry entries for the Profile as well (just deleting the folder structure under "C:\Users" does not,
    and problems can result).
    6. Build your image model from this point using the original default local Administrator account.  This is the only account that Sysprep will leave on the machine when it is run. Note the machine is not a Domain Member when I am at this point.
I only join the machine that I apply the image to when I finally deploy the machine to be used .
    7. Run Sysprep on the machine to prepare it for duplication, then shutdown or reboot.  When starting up you do not want to allow it to boot into the OS or you will have to rerun Sysprep again.   You can use WDS to "capture" an image
after doing a network boot from the Nic.  You can also boot the machine using a Windows PE bootdisk and manually capture an image with ImageX (comes with WAIK for Win7).  But ImageX is commandline only and annoying,...there is a GUI alternative called
GImageX (google it). Then manually copy the captured image to the WDS Server.  Note when you capture an image,..you are only capturing the Boot Partition,...not the entire drive.
The details of all this you can sort out by studying "how to use" WDS and WAIK (Win7).  That should put you on the right track.
A source for creating a bootable Windows PE disk is here.
