Hi Anil,
You can use the UME api's to read the user id. There is a weblog also on this. You can use the code below to read the user id.
<i>IWDClientUser user = null;
try
          user = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser();
catch(Exception ex)
  /* Exception Handling */
IUserAccount[] accounts = user.getSAPUser().getUserAccounts();
if ( accounts!= null && accounts.length >= 1)
     String username = (String) accounts[0].getLogonUid();
}</i>
Hope this is helpful.

  • Is it possible to ready windows variables ?

    Hello,
    I create a BSP Page - there is a filed where
    i want to insert the Username from the windows variables automatically ?!
    maybe someone can help me ?
    thank you!

    Hi Thomas,
    I think you need to use client side coding.
    Googling I found this: http://www.forum4designers.com/archive22-2004-3-64751.html
    There Martin Honnen suggests this code:
    var wshell = new ActiveXObject('WScript.Shell');
    var env = wshell.Environment('System');
    alert(env('Java_HOME'))
    He warns about security issues related to use of ActiveX.
    After obtained your environment variable value, you need to post it to your BSP page.
    Bye.
    Dany
    P.S.: alternatively you could use, server side, <i>nbtstat</i> MSWindows command, which lets you to know who is logged on a remote machine (type 20 UNIQUE), but:
    1. both server and client need NetBIOS over TCP/IP active  (you can't control client settings - you <b>don't want</b> to let NetBIOS active on your server);
    2. more than one user can be logged on a client;
    3. you need to reach client directly (no proxy).

    I have an external hard drive, from Iomega. that I can open and see my files. However, I cannot copy or save any file to it. On my PC I have it says that is possible to read and write in it, but in my Mac, it says I can only read. can somebody help me?
    Also, Im a photographer, so I like to name a lot of files at the same time (used to do in on PC and it was very usefull.) cannot find out how to do it on my Mac. Really appretiate if some one can give me a solution! Thanx

    Your drive is formatted with the NTFS file system.  OS X can read but not write to the NTFS file system.  There are third party drivers available that claim to add the ability to OS X to write to an NTFS partition.  I have not tried them and don't know if they work.
    The only file system that OS X and Windows can both write to natively is the FAT32 file system.

  • Is it possible to install windows 8.1 on macbook pro late 2013?

    hi ,
    Is it possible to install windows 8.1 on late 2013 macbook pro?
    I have tried installing it twice but both of the time i got an error
    Windows could not update the computer's boot configuration. Installation cannot proceed.

    Maybe people have found a solution already but yesterday I managed to install Win 8.1 as a BootCamp on my new 15" retina MBP.  I followed the steps John Guo described but with a couple of changes as his approach failed for me.
    1. Make sure you are starting from a single partition.
    2. Create the Windows install USB from the ISO and also allow BootCamp Assistant to create download the drivers - but untick the option to install windows.
    3. Open Disk Utility and create a new partition and format as MS-DOS (FAT) rather than leave as free space.
    4. Restart your Mac and use the option to boot into the Windows part of the USB not the EFI-boot.
    5. Follow the install
    6. When it comes to the drive selection select the FAT drive. Windows installer will say it cannot install here as it needs to be and NTFS partitiion (in previous atempts I always got the message to say the partitiion was using GUI partition table so could not install even though it was formatted to NTFS).
    7. The format to NTFS should work fine and install proceed.
    8. When the installer reboots the machine you will need to use the boot option to ensure you boot back into Windows.
    9. Once installed the bootcamp driver install runs automatically and for me all drivers run fine even the NVIDIA, which I've seen some people mention having issues with.
    I was inpressed with Windows automatically scaling the text to 200%, which meant it was using the full 2880x1800 resolution so everything was crisp but the windows and text was scaled nicely. I changed this 150% to give me some more real estate.
    I'm guessing that by formatting the new partition as FAT it creates a MBP within the new drive that is writable by windows but I'm not a windows guru so this is a guess. But anyway, this work perfectly.
    hope this helps some people.

    If you have Lion installed, and run Boot Camp, it will create the boot flash for you, just followe the tutorial on screen. As far as I remember, this was not possible prior to Lion.

  • Is it possible to install Windows 7 without using BCA to install drivers and using the support 5 software for drivers on my iMac 2014?

    What I am wondering is if I can install Windows 7 on my iMac 2014 without using BCA to install drivers and using the manual download Support software without bricking my system. The issue is that I recently moved into the country without a reliable data connection, so I'd like to download all the drivers from when I'm in town generally. Any info is appreciated.

Does anyone know if it's actually possible to uninstall Windows 8.1 and install Windows 7 using an external USB or external CD Rom Drive? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    The District is right to say what they told you they can't install Disctrict Windows 7 on your computer because they have a license agreements with MS and doing so will violate their Terms of Agreement. And you shouldn't be asking something like that to start with. If that laptop can't install Windows 7 it then your stuck with WIndows 8 unless HP has downgrade to go back to Windows 7 on it otherwise if none exist you will not get any drivers or support for it. You best luck is to find a used Windows 7 laptop and order the HP recovery media for it and wipe it clean to factory install and register it to you and that will give you a Windows 7 maching to start with.

  • Is it possible to install Windows 7 on Satellite Pro 6100

    Is it possible to install windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite pro 6100 machine? I 'm currently using windows XP.
    thanks.

    Hi buddy,
    Do you really think about Windows 7 installation on many years old Satellite Pro 6100???
    In my opinion this will not work because its too old and not fast enough. Newest OS that is supported from Toshiba is Windows XP and this should be the best choice for this oldie.
    So just be satisfied with Windows XP, its a good choice for older computers! :)

  • Is it possible to boot windows solely from an external hard drive so that it does not affect the internal drive

    Is it possible to boot windows solely from an external hard drive so that it does not affect the internal drive. I already know that you can partition the internal hard drive to do the very same. Idon't want to use any of the internal space to run windows so I'm asking if it is possible to use a flash drive or external drive through USB to run windows when it is plugged in.

    Read https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5043762?start=0&tstart=0 to discover you can't do it.

    1. On your computer, yes. Use Boot Camp, Parallels Desktop, VMware Fusion, VirtualBox, or similar software.
    2. No; if you use an emulator, it may install system components. Back it up anyway.

  • How to Print a PDF programmatically without the Adobe Reader Window

    Hi,
    I'm trying to print a PDF my application. I would prefer to do it as silent as possible - no PrintDialogue | Adobe Reader Window.
    Language C#
    Adobe Reader 10.0
    Here´s some Code:
    public static void PrintPDF(string file, string printerName)
    Process proc = new Process();
    proc.StartInfo.FileName = @"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe";
    proc.StartInfo.Arguments = @" /t /h " + "\"" + file + "\"" + " " + "\"" + printerName + "\"";
    proc.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = true;
    proc.StartInfo.CreateNoWindow = true;
    proc.Start();
    Thread.Sleep(1000);
    proc.WaitForInputIdle();
    proc.Kill();
    It works, but the Adobe Reader Window is still popping up -> /h (start the reader minimized) does not work.
    Is there another way to hide the Window ?
    Regards

    Hi,
    I am developing an application, which have to support a PDF print. My result after searching for the best possibilities is this snippet:
    public static void PrintPDF(string path, string printer)
    Process process = new Process();
    process.StartInfo.FileName = path;
    process.StartInfo.Verb = "printto";
    process.StartInfo.Arguments = "\"" + printerName + "\"";
    process.Start();
    // I have to use this in case of Adobe Reader to close the window
    process.WaitForInputIdle();
    process.Kill();
    This is the most generic solution - it prints a pdf unless no matter wich reader is installed.
    Only deficit - the Adobe Reader window still pops up. Why it does not behave like it´s alternatives (for example Foxit Reader) and print the PDF without popping up ?
    Regards

  • Is it possible to get a variable if I only know the variable by it'

    Is it possible to get a variable if I only know the variable by it's string name?
    In my case I would like to call Resources.GetStringToDisplay("TEXT_0") and get the string "bla bla 0"
    public class Resources {
    public string GetStringToDisplay(String s)
    {          //how can I to return the value of one variable
    return ............;
    public static String TEXT_0="bla bla 0";
    public static String TEXT_1="bla bla 1";
    public static String TEXT_2="bla bla 2";
    public static String TEXT_3="bla bla 3";
    Thanks

    NO you can not get Variable value by camparing string value in J2ME (because J2ME is not supporting reflection package). But you can do one thing to get same functionality.
    public static String TEXT_0="TEXT_0@bla bla 0";
    public static String TEXT_1="TEXT_1@bla bla 1";
    public static String TEXT_2="TEXT_2@bla bla 2";
    public static String TEXT_3="TEXT_3@bla bla 3";
    public string GetStringToDisplay(String s)
    if(TEXT_0.startsWith(s) )
    return TEXT_0.substring (TEXT_0.indexOf('@')+1, TEXT_0.length());
    else if(TEXT_1.startsWith(s) )
    return TEXT_1.substring (TEXT_1.indexOf('@')+1, TEXT_1.length());

  • 1.is it possible to read a .xls file and load it into an oracle table

    1.is it possible to read a .xls file and load it into an oracle table, using oracle database or oracle forms i.e. either utl_file, or text_io, or any other oracle tool.
    As far as I know we need a csv file or a txt ( tab delimited) file ?
    2.Are there any windows tools for the same

    Hi,
    If you want to use the DDE package to read the XLS file then yes, you will neeed to know the number of rows and columns in the input file.
    i.e. How will you know :
    1) How many columns are there in the input file.
    If I have a XLS file with the following data :
    R1C1 R1C2 R1C3 R1C4 R1C5 R1C6 R1C7
    xxx xx x
    Where R represents row and C represents column, then how will you know the each row has 7 columns. If you know the answer upfront, then it's not a issue.
    Using the DDE apprach, you will have to specify the RowNum and the ColumnNo of each idividual cells to read/write data from xls sheet.
    Look at the syntax in my ealier post.
    using the other approch (i.e. comma delimited text file - CSV file) , you need not know the number of columns as you can loop thru the input record till the last column is read.
    All you have to do is to look for the 'n' occurances of the field delimiter say ',', do a substr from the current position to the point where the ',' was found.
    This process is to be repeated in a loop till all columns are read.
    The TEXT_IO package can trap for EOF (End Of File).
    Hope I made myself clear.
