Is it possible to route EJB requests?

I have an EJB (Stateless Session Bean) which is a DataBase Adapter. Its goal is to access Oracle DataBase to execute select queries and stored procedures.
The problem is that some of the requests take so long to execute while others take a short time.
It occurs because some queries return 10,000 rows and others return 1 row.
Imagine that I have 10 instances of my bean and WLS received 11 requests.
10 first requests - heavy load
11th request - take short time to execute
The problem is that the 11th request will be enqueue.
What I would like to do is to route EJB requests, so I could have 8 EJB instances in charge of heavy requests and 2 EJB instances in charge of light requests.
Is it possible? How?
Thanks in advance,

Is it possible? How?Its not clear that you can tell before the fact which is going to take
longer - if that's the case then you are out of luck. In 9.0 we have a
feature that allows you too prioritize requests of various type, this
would almost certainly help you here if you can solve the first
problem.

  • Is it possible to load a request already updated in the data target ?

    Hi Experts,
Question: load a request which is already updated in data targets and data mart status is set
    Data flow:
    source system -
    > ODS1 -
    > Infocube1
Now, requests are first loaded into ODS1. Then these request are loaded into Infocube1.
Now, i deleted the request in the Infocube1.
Is it possible to reload the request from ODS1 to Infocube1 ?
    Please suggest how.
    Regards,
    Suraj S Nair

    Hi  Masthan Kaniganti          ,
It is possible to load the data but not same request.
The reason why we can not load the request is in ODS level delta resords are updated ,hence with the selection condition we have to load the present and previous data.
    and one more thing...
If you are deleted request in Cube level means, we can reconstuct the same  request via reconstruction tab..
Hope this helps you...let me know if you any further ifo on this..

  • GRC 10.1 - Routing at Request Submission in case of SOD violations

I am trying to configure MSMP workflow or risks analysis while creating userid
    1. No Risks >> User created and access assigned automatically
    2. Risks found >> forward to security team to review and approve
I have checked the standard functional module - GRAC_MSMP_DETOUR_SODVIOL cannot be used in AC 10.0 . This is  only be used as Routing Rule after first stage approval and at subsequent stages as per Note - 1783157 - Routing at Request Submission in case of SOD violations
Can anyone advise the standard SAP delivered rule / functional module we can use in GRC AC 10.1 to achieve the outcome at the time of request submission ??

    Hi Anil,
You have enable riak analysis at submission buy setting parameter and the need to have a first stage as dummy where risk analysis result can be analysed and have a detour at this dummy stage so that in case of risk request is forwarded to next stage.
    Hope that helps..

    Hi all,
Please advice me if it is possible to deploy EJBs on the Tomcat Server.
If so how to go about it?
    Thanks
    Ranjan

No , it is not possible.Tomcat does not have a

Try using free servers like Sun One application server for
    deploying your ejb's.

  • Possible to Route Traffic Based on AVC?

Is it possible to route traffic, based on the Application Visibility Control functions that specific Cisco routers are capable of?  Here's my issue:  I have two ISP's.  One is at about 120% utilization.  The other isn't doing anything.  I can specify ip routes based on IP addresses.  For instance, I can ip route 173.252.110.27 255.255.255.255 10.x.x.x to point to our ISP2 firewall, which is our non-utilized provider, for Facebook traffic.  The problem is that sites like this have massive public subnets, so I won't be able to capture all of the traffic destined to Facebook.  Is there a way to route traffic based on application?  I know that Palo Alto firewalls have a way to do Policy Based Forwarding, based on application.  I was wondering if the same was possible with AVC.  Thanks for any help.

    Hello.
Yes, it's possible and, actually, you have 2 ways.
    1. use manual load-balanace between links.
    2. use PfR to load-balance traffic automatically.
PS: you also will need NAT with route-map.

  • Is it possible to release the request from production to quality

is it possible to release the request from production to quality

    It's not allowed..
You can move request from original server ( where a request is created ) to target server.
Since in production server you are not allowed development work.. so u can not create req there... and u can not move req of dev server ( which were moved to prod ) from prod to quality.

  • It is possible to delete the request after compression

    Hi,
It is possible to delete the request after compression,if it yes,how can delete the  request.

    Hi,
You cannot delete the request individually but you can one of the following:
    1. Do a selective deletion from the cube. RSA1 -> Cube -> Contents -> selective deletion.
    2. Delete all the data in the cube and then reconstruct only the required request ids. This would work only if you have the PSA available for all the requests.
    3. Reverse posting is another possibility.

  • Possibility to route Sound? (connect headphone and speakers at the same ti

Hi is it possible to route the sound of my X-FI Titanium (PCIe)?
I want to connect Headphone and 2. Speakers at the same time and want to be able to decide where the sound comes out.
It wasnt possible with my previous audigy 2zs, but it thought now it could be possible, because every cheap onboard sound can do that.
The only solution so far was to choose stereo surround but that wont work in games because most games recognise 4 speakers and some sound is missing.
    Any hints?
    Thanks in Advance

I used to be able to do that in XP with an SB Li've 024 which?was like 2+2 stereo card before 5. came out.
Thinking....maybe somethig like [url="http://www.pccables.com/images/05004.jpg">this[/url]?(3.5mm STEREO JACK Y-SPLITTER ADAPTER) plugged into front out for headphones and front speakers.
You can also get a cable that does similar.

  • Using HR Hierarchy to Route Access requests in AE 5.2 - Possible? How?

    Hi,
My Client wants to be able to route the Access requests to the Requestors Manager based on the HR Hierarchy.
Is it to possible to automatically populate the Manager information based on the Requstor on the requestor screen when my authentication systems is a SAP HR backend, if yes where can I find material on this config.
The workflows now route the access requests to the the 'Manager Approver' stage - the person selected as Manager by the requestor on th request form.
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi,
Can you please clarify what screen you are refrring to for the "A002 vs B012" setting.
Also is to possible to Add "attributes" that are to be used for determining the next stage in a workflow. We would like to use a Role Rating to determine the workflow..situation explained below.
The Roles being requested are divided into 3 categories and we would like to have 'manager approver' only and  'Auto Provision' for reporting/display roles (1 category).
    and
have 'manager approver'  'Role Owner approver' stages, Auto provision for change/create roles(2 category)
    and
have 'manager approver'  'BPO' approval, 'Role Owner approval' stages and manual provisioning for SoX Critical roles (3 category)
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • WANT TO USE WEBLOGIC 10 R3 AS WEBSERVER FOR ONLY ROUTING HTTP REQUEST .

    Hi ,
I have a requirement which I have to address ASAP . Any help would be appreciated .
I want to use weblogic 10 R3 as web server. I understand by the definition of application server that it’s also capable of handling HTTP request . That means it’s having a build-in webserver in it. (Please correct me if I am wrong in my understanding .) Thus can I use the weblogic webserver for hosting all incoming http request and routing to the another instance of weblogic application server. (Could be the same instance also if possible .)
I also understand that weblogic app server can be integrated with other third party web server like apache web server . But is it not possible to use weblogic 10g webserver ? If this is possible please guide me how I should proceed for this.
    With Regards
    AD

    Hi ,
I am rephrasing my query as below:
It’s my understanding that weblogic 10g R3 application server is capable of handling http requests also . That means it has a built-in webserver. Thus can I use this built-in weblogic webserver for hosting all incoming http requests and routing to the another instance of weblogic application server.

  • Routing DNS requests in a zone to a default host

    Hi,
What I'd like to do is to direct all DNS requests for non-existent hosts to a single host by default. So even if I haven't defined a hostname in my zone, the request will still resolve (to this default host). Any ideas?
    Ben

It's possible to do via wildcard DNS, but you cannot do it via Server Admin (it doesn't permit the * for the wildcard name), therefore you have to get under the hood and edit your zone file directly.
You'll need to find your zone's domain file in /var/named and add a line like:
    *  IN  A  1.2.3.4
(where 1.2.3.4 is, obviously, the IP address you want all unknown addresses to point to).
You'll also need to increment the serial number in the SOA record near the top of the file (otherwise your change won't be noticed)
Restart named (e.g. via killall -HUP named or via Server Admin), and now any lookup for an unknown host will return the specified address.

  • Problems servicing EJB requests on SOA server. SOA Suite 11g.

    Hi all
I recently installed SOA Suite 11g on my Windows 7 machine for a project that will be employing SOA, BPM and EJB services. I created a new SOA domain with an admin server and a managed SOA server. When creating the domain, I specified BPM Suite, SOA Suite, Enterprise manager, WSM Policy Manager and JRF to be included as per project requirements.
SOA and BPM project have been deployed to and are working fine on the SOA server, but I observed the following odd behaviour when I tried to deploy and use a Java EJB service: -
    1. Via the admin console, I successfully deployed my EJB ear to the managed SOA server and can see it in the JNDI tree of the server.
    2. When I try to invoke the EJB from a remote client, the service is successfully located via JNDI and a request is sent, but it is as though the service then simply swallows the request and does nothing with it. No output is returned from the EJB service and none of the logging from the EJB service appears in the logs. No errors are reported on the console or in any of the Weblogic logs that I have looked through.
    3. I tried deploying the ear to the admin server instead and invoking it with the same client. This time it works absolutely fine.
    4. When messing around with setDomainEnv.cmd, I accidentally removed jrf.jar from the classpath. When the SOA server subsequently started, this caused lots of errors while deploying the SOA components, but my EJB service worked with no problems on the SOA server. When I correcteed the classpath and restarted, the original problem returned.
It seems as though a conflict is occurring, which I am pretty baffled by. I would be very grateful for any advice or suggestions on this issue.
    Many thanks
    Jon

    Hi Jon
I don't know the root cause of this issue. But try this and see if it works. Undeploy this EJB EAR application from weblogic admin console. Then Login into EM Console. And in EM Console, expand weblogic domain and select your soa server under this folder and right click and try to Deploy your EAR. And then access the EJB.
We have some BPM Applications where we have one Workflow project that we deploy from EM Console. This BPM App also have lots of EJB projects. We deploy all of them as single EAR from em console under weblogic domain. So far we have not faced any issues.
    Thanks
