Is it possible to transport table with over 1500 entries?

How can I transport a table with over 1500 entries from QA to Prod? It is not a Z table. Anyone have steps do that, please?
Thanks

Prakash,
The delivery class of table AUFM (A) indicates that it is an application table, not a customising table and as such should not be transported.
This table contains many foreign key filelds within it. If you transported this table alone to your production system you would probably render the system unusable.
This table should only be copied as part of a client copy, when other related tables would also be copied.
You should ask the person requesting the transport why they want to copy this table alone to your production system.

  • Transport Table with Data from Development to Quality

    Hi
    Requirement:
    Transporting Table with Values from Development to Quality System.
    I have a Z* - table, appended one field at the end.
    I need to transport data along with the table structure from Development System to Quality System.
    In Development System, I have assigned the Transport request in Client 100(We can't add data to the table in this client).
    What needs to be done to migrate the new table structure with Values.
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards,
    Baburaj
    NOTE: the requirement is to transport table and table entries through a transport request.
    There should not be any manual update for the table in the target System (Quality System).

    Check the delivery class assigned to the table. Please see the documentation
    Delivery class
        The delivery class controls the transport of table data when installing
        or upgrading, in a client copy and when transporting between customer
        systems. The delivery class is also used in the extended table
        maintenance.
        There are the following delivery classes:
        o   A: Application table (master and transaction data).
        o   C: Customer table, data is maintained by the customer only.
        o   L: Table for storing temporary data.
        o   G: Customer table, SAP may insert new data records, but may not
            overwrite or delete existing data records. The customer namespace
            must be defined in table TRESC. (Use Report RDDKOR54 here).
        o   E: System table with its own namespaces for customer entries. The
    customer namespace must be defined in table TRESC. (Use Report
    RDDKOR54 here.)
    S: System table, data changes have the same status as program
    changes.
    W: System table (e.g. table of the development environment) whose
    data is transported with its own transport objects (e.g. R3TR PROG,
    R3TR TABL, etc.).
    or during client copy
    the data of client-specific tables is copied.
    Classes C, G, E, S: The data records of the table are copied to the
    target client.
    Classes W, L: The data records of the table are not copied to the
    target client.
    Class A: Data records are only copied to the target client if
    explicitly requested (parameter option). Normally it does not make
    sense to transport such data, but is supported to permit you to copy
    an entire client environment.
    or during installation, upgrade and language import
    behavior differs here for client-specific and cross-client tables.
    nt-specific tables
    Classes A and C: Data is only imported into client 000. Existing
    data records are overwritten.
    Classes E, S and W: Data is imported into all clients. Existing data
    records are overwritten.
    Class G: Existing data records are overwritten in client 000. In all
    other clients, new data records are inserted, but existing data
    records are not overwritten.
    Class L: No data is imported.
    Cross-client tables
    o   Classes A, L and C: No data is imported.
    o   Classes E, S, and W: Data is imported. Exisitng data records with
         the same key are overwritten.
    o   Classe G: Data records that do not exist are inserted, but existing
         data records are not overwritten.
    ehavior during transport between customer systems
    Data records of tables of delivery class L are not imported into the
    target system. Data records of tables of delivery classes A, C, E, G, S
    and W are imported into the target system (this is done for the target
    client specified in the transport for client-specific tables).
    se of the delivery class in the extended table maintenance
    The delivery class is also analyzed in the extended table maintenance
    (SM30). The maintenance interface generated for a table makes the
    following checks:
    o   You cannot transport the entered data with the transport link of the
        generated maintenance interface for tables of delivery classes W and
        L.
    o   When you enter data, there is a check if this data violates the
        namespace defined for the table in table TRESC. If the data violates
        the namespace, the input is rejected.

First of all your CREATE TABLE statement is full of syntax errors. Next time test it before posting - we don't want to spend time on fixing things not related to your question.
    Now, I bet you check COMPRESSION value of partitioned table same way you do it for a non-partitioned table - in USER_TABLES - and therefore get wrong results. Since compreesion can be enabled on individual partition level you need to check COMPRESSION in USER_TAB_PARTITIONS:

  • Dynamic Select Query including Dynamic Tables with For all Entries

    Hello everyone,
    I need to create a select query which involves using of Dynamic Tables.
    Suppose I have a dynamic table <d1> which consist of let say 10 records.
    Now i need to make a select query putting data into another dynamic table <d2>
    CONCATENATE keyfield '=' '<d1>' INTO g_condition SEPARATED BY space.
    CONCATENATE g_condition '-' keyfield INTO g_condition.
    SELECT * FROM (wa_all_tables-name) INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE <d1>
            FOR ALL ENTRIES IN <d1>
    WHERE (g_condition).
    But it is giving dump.
    Please help me on this....

    Short text
        A condition specified at runtime has an unexpected format.
    What happened?
        Error in the ABAP Application Program
        The current ABAP program "ZNG_CUSTOMWRITE" had to be terminated because it has
        come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
    Error analysis
        An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
        The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_DYNAMIC_OSQL_SEMANTICS', was
         not caught in
        procedure "WRITE_ARCHIVE_PROD" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING
         clause.
        Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
        exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
        The reason for the exception is:
        The current ABAP program has tried to execute an Open SQL statement
        which contains a WHERE, ON or HAVING condition with a dynamic part.
        The part of the WHERE, ON or HAVING condition specified at runtime in
        a field or an internal table, contains the invalid value "ZCOURIER-ZCOURIERID".
    CONCATENATE keyfield '=' g_header INTO g_condition SEPARATED BY space.
    CONCATENATE g_condition '-' keyfield INTO g_condition.
    SELECT * FROM (wa_all_tables-name) INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE <dyn_table1>

      WHERE (g_condition).

  • [Function] Declare a internal table with structure name (entry parameter)

    Hi all,
    I'm explaining my problem :
    I want to create a function with two parameters in entry :
    (IMPORT)  - structure_name with type DD02L-TABNAME
    (TABLES) - t_outtab with empty type
    t_outtab will be in structure_name type.
    Now, in my source function, I want to retrieve all contain of t_outtab in another internal table or field-symbol. I don't know in advance the used structures in my function entries.
    I don't manage to get this contain, cause I can't do :
    DATA : internal_table TYPE structure_name*
    OR
    DATA : internal_table TYPE (structure_name)
    OR used field-symbol
    DATA : internal_table TYPE <fs>*  where <fs> had structure name value.
    To do more later :
    *DATA : line LIKE LINE OF internal_table. *
    *internal_table][ = t_outtab][. *
    And work with this table.
    _ I tried different solutions like : _
    Get the structure of the table.
      ref_table_des ?= cl_abap_typedescr=>describe_by_name( I_STRUCTURE_NAME ).
      idetails[] = ref_table_des->components[].
    Get the first structure table of result table
    LOOP AT idetails INTO xdetails.
        CLEAR: xfc.
        xfc-fieldname = xdetails-name .
        xfc-datatype = xdetails-type_kind.
        xfc-inttype = xdetails-type_kind.
        xfc-intlen = xdetails-length.
        xfc-decimals = xdetails-decimals.
        APPEND xfc TO ifc.
    ENDLOOP.
    Create dynamic internal table and assign to FS
      CALL METHOD cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table
        EXPORTING
          it_fieldcatalog = ifc
        IMPORTING
          ep_table        = dy_table.
      ASSIGN dy_table->* TO <dyn_table>.
    Create dynamic work area and assign to FS
      CREATE DATA dy_line LIKE LINE OF <dyn_table>.
      ASSIGN dy_line->* TO <dyn_wa>.
    and retrieve to <dyn_table>[] = t_outtab[].
    the but I don't try the solution. If someone have an idea.
    Thanks and regards.

    Hi,
    We can acheive this using dynamic internal tables.
    Please find sample below.
    *Creating Dynamic internal table
      PARAMETERS : p_table(10) TYPE C.
      DATA: w_tabname TYPE w_tabname,
            w_dref TYPE REF TO data,

      FIELD-SYMBOLS: <t_itab> TYPE ANY TABLE.
      w_tabname = p_table.
      CREATE DATA w_dref TYPE TABLE OF (w_tabname).
      ASSIGN w_dref->* TO <t_itab>.
    * Populating Dynamic internal table
      SELECT *
        FROM (w_tabname) UP TO 20 ROWS
        INTO TABLE <t_itab>.
    * Displaying dynamic internal table using Grid.

  • Counting rows for db tables with 500 million+ entries

    Hi
    SE16 transaction timesout in foreground when showing number of entries for db tables with 500million+ entries. In background this takes too long.
    I am writing a custom report to get number of records of a table and using OPEN CURSOR concept to determine number of records.
    Is there any other efficient way to read number of records from such huge tables.
            OPEN CURSOR l_cursor FOR
            SELECT COUNT(*)
               FROM (u_str_param-p_tabn) WHERE (l_tab_cond).  " u_str_param-p_tabn is the table name in input and l_tab_cond is a
              DO.                                                                              " dynamic where condition
                FETCH NEXT CURSOR l_cursor INTO l_new_count.
               PACKAGE SIZE p_pack.
                IF sy-subrc NE 0.
                  EXIT.
                ELSE.
                  l_tot_cnt = l_tot_cnt + l_new_count. " l_tot_cnt will contain number of records at end of loops
                  CLEAR l_new_count.
                ENDIF.
              ENDDO.
              CLOSE CURSOR l_cursor.

    Hello,
    For sure it is a huge number of entries!!!
    Is any key-fields?
    Use a variable to keep a counter of the key-fields , for example row_table and also a low and high variable .
    Try to use a do-loop and in this loop use:
    do .
    low_row  = row_table.
    low_high = row_table + 200.000.:increse the select every 200.000 entries
    Do  "select statement into table"  based on the key-fields
    For example : if the key-field is the docnr,
    Do a "select into table itab where docnr >low_row
                                            and docnr < low_high"
    Count the lines of itab and keep them in a variable.
    free the itab.
    enddo
    Good luck.

  • Possible to alter table with partitions to also have subpartitions online?

    The subject says it all....
    Is it possible to add hash sub-partitioning to an existing range partitioned table 'in-the-fly', or will it be necessary to create the new table structure first and reload the data?

    You have to create a new table first.

    IF <lt_tmp> IS NOT INITIAL. "<lt_tmp> is my dyn. internal table
            SELECT field1 field2
              FROM TABLE ztable
              INTO TABLE itab "Itab is a static table
              FOR ALL ENTRIES IN <lt_tmp>
              WHERE (lv_dynwhere). "lv_dynwhere -> dynamic where clause
          ENDIF.
    SAP documentation says:
    "The logical expression sql_cond of the WHERE condition can be comprised of several logical expressions using AND and OR. However, if FOR ALL ENTRIES is specified, there must be at least one comparison with a column of the internal table itab that can be specified statically or dynamically. "
    How do we specify the column of the internal table dynamically ? Can we do something like this:
    IF <lt_tmp> IS NOT INITIAL. "<lt_tmp> is my dyn. internal table
            SELECT field1 field2
              FROM TABLE
              INTO TABLE itab "Itab is a static table
              FOR ALL ENTRIES IN <lt_tmp>
              WHERE key_field1 = (dynamic token for column1 of <lt_tmp>)
                           key_field2 = (dynamic token for column2 of <lt_tmp>)
          ENDIF.
          ENDIF.
    Let me know if i am not clear about my requirement.

    Suhas

    Hello Thomas,
    What i meant was something like this:
    WHERE key_field1 = ('<LT_TMP-COL1>') AND
          key_field2 = ('<LT_TMP-COL2>')
    I am confused by what SAP means with "dynamic representation of internal table columns" in FAE ?
    @Rob: I was referring to SAPNW 7.0 documentation & the phrase (release 6.40 & higher) is missing. Anyways fyi i am on ECC5.0 ABAP release 6.40.
    @Subhankar: This is what Marcin had proposed in For all entries and dynamic table.
    Thanks,
    Suhas

  • How to use single buffered table with FOR ALL ENTRIES KEYWORD

    Hai,
    I'm Using TJ02T Database table, It is single buffered table but at the same time I want to use FOR ALL ENTRIES KEYWORD , Please Help me.
    Regards,
    S.Janani

    Hi,
    FOR ALL ENTRIES will not depend on the buffering nature of the table. The single buffered table will only only buffer one record into memory. You can still use the statement to query the values, but it may have performance problems if the data volume is high since the records are not completely buffered into memory, the time will spent in getting data from DB.
    Thanks..

  • Create new table with new calculated entries

    Hi,
    I got a little problem.
    I have a table which includes the vacations times of employees. The vacation time was periodic ,so I split them in to days. Now I want to calculate the exact days.Sometimes there are weekends included which I have to subtract. I flaged every day, that I exactly know which day is a working day and which one isn't. Is there a way that I only sum the working days without the weekends?
    Table Vacation_Times:
    Empl --- V_Start_D --- V_End_D --- Date --- Days --- D_Name
    Mr.A --- 01.05.11 --- 06.05.11 --- 01.05.11 --- 6 --- Wednesday
    Mr-A --- 01.05.11 --- 06.06.11 --- 02.05.11 --- 6 --- Thursday
    Mr.A --- 01.05.11 --- 06.05.11 --- 03.05.11 --- 6 --- Friday
    Mr-A --- 01.05.11 --- 06.06.11 --- 04.05.11 --- 6 --- Saturday
    Mr.A --- 01.05.11 --- 06.05.11 --- 05.05.11 --- 6 --- Sunday
    Mr-A --- 01.05.11 --- 06.06.11 --- 06.05.11 --- 6 --- Monday
    NEW table:
    Empl --- V_Start_D --- V_End_D --- Date --- Days --- D_Name --- Actual_Days
    Mr.A --- 01.05.11 --- 06.05.11 --- 01.05.11 --- 6 --- Wednesday --- 4
    Mr-A --- 01.05.11 --- 06.06.11 --- 02.05.11 --- 6 --- Thursday --- 4
    Mr.A --- 01.05.11 --- 06.05.11 --- 03.05.11 --- 6 --- Friday --- 4
    Mr-A --- 01.05.11 --- 06.06.11 --- 04.05.11 --- 6 --- Saturday --- 4
    Mr.A --- 01.05.11 --- 06.05.11 --- 05.05.11 --- 6 --- Sunday --- 4
    Mr-A --- 01.05.11 --- 06.06.11 --- 06.05.11 --- 6 --- Monday --- 4
    thx

    Hi,
    try
    SELECT Empl ,V_Start_D ,V_End_D ,Date ,Days ,D_Name , count(*) as Actual_Days
    FROM vacation v
    JOIN datelist d ON d.day between  V_Start_D and V_End_D and d.is_working_day='Y'
    GROUP BY Empl ,V_Start_D ,V_End_D ,Date ,Days ,D_Name Regards,

  • Migrating a new partition table with transportable tablespace

    I created a partitioned table with 2 partitions (2010 and 2011) and used transportable tablespace to migrate the data over to a new envionment. My question is, if I decide to add a partition (2012) in the future, can I simply move that new partition along with the associated datafile via transportable tablespace or would I have to move all the partitions (2010, 2011, 2012).

    1) create a table as CTAS from 2012 in new Tablespace on source
    2) transport the tablespace
    3) Add partition to existing partition table Or exchange partition

  • Data Migration from 11i to R12 Global - Open POs,lines, receipts & on hand upload, Is it possible to do the onhand qty upload with over riding of all receipts which uploaded against Open PO lines?

    Hi Friends,
    We are in a phase of data migration from 11i to R12
    I was discussed with client & they wants extraction of all open POs which was generated after 01 Jan 2014 to till date in 11i.
    Condition for open POs is PO qty-received qty=>0
    critical Example for open PO is :PO no: 10 has 4 lines, 3lines full qty has been received & for 1 line partial qty(say 50 out of 100) received.
    in this case he wants in R12 uploading as PO no:10 should entered as open PO with all 4lines & 3 lines complete receipt should be done, for 4th line partial qty i.e 50 should be received.
    the question is if we upload on hand qty first, then open POs & receipts, it will increase the onhand qty in new system(mismatch of on hand qty's 11i to R12)
    Is it possible to do the onhand qty upload with over riding of all receipts which uploaded against Open PO lines.
    Or Please advice best solution.
    Thanks & Regards
    Giri

    hi,
    it is better for 2 different questions,make 2 differents threads...
    You used the 2ond solution(google???),put in the dashboard...html enabled...and check your pdf again.
    Moreover,printing pdf with answer is discouraged...always prefer Xml Publisher.
    Last,there are 2 fst files which configure the *.pdf files , check them,
