if it can do it, What is simple way ?

You can access any database if it is accessible through JDBC.

You are right. When it comes from the WD Java, may be you are not passing any value at all. You can trace it by these ways.
1. Check it using SE37, make sure everyhting is fine.
2. Print all the values that you are passing to the RFC in the execute RFC method().
3. using ST05 transaction in R/3, enable RFC and SQL trace, check what is passing in between web dynpro and R/3.

How to let SAP user use SSO to access Application in DMZ?

Our J2EE application is running on a system in DMZ which can not be connected with LDAP. So I am wondering if it's possible to let SAP user use SSO to access our application.
After talking with my colleague I think the only way is to import SSO public key to our WebAS and create user in UME and then assign user to the corresponding public key, but anybody know where to download SSP verification file or is it allowed to download and import into another system at all?

Take a look at this example, it uses property nodes to select tha
active plot and then changes the color of that plot.
If you want to make the number of plots dynamic you could use a for
loop and an array of color boxes.

Using JavaScript to access Database

I am using JSP and Tomcat for my web application.
Now i need to use Javascript to access the MS Access database. Can anyone please tell me the class and command for accessing database from javascript.
Please give me an example and that will help me. I know it is not good to access database using JavaScript. But in this situation i have to use it anyhow.

Thanks very much for your help. Now some of you said that it is not possible in JSP to access database using JavaScript, some of you said yes it is possible but not secure, I understand the both concepts.
Now my problem is last year i built a web application for my company and the scenario is like this:
The staff records their working time in that application. Now when they click a button it creates a drop down list of all clients they have and that list is in HTML as SELECT TAG. So the select tag includes 100+ client name.
Now they can add as many client as they want for example if i have worked with 10 clients i will create 10 drop down list by pressing button called ADD CLIENT and will record their hours.
Now from the description above you guys can understand that an OnClick Javascript event in involved to create multiple dropdown list.
Now what i want is that i want those 100+ client list to come from database rather than typing them in the SELECT TAG. and please remember the SELECT tag is implemented in Javascript using innerHTML event.
Now for those of you who suggested that it is not possible to use Javascript in accessing database, can you please tell me how can i implement Onclick event using JSP/Serverlet and can create dynamic drop downlist?

Using JNDI to access config file located outsite j2ee app

Hi I'm wanting to store a config file for my J2ee app, somewhere on a tomcat server possibly inside the
conf/ directory so that I can update this config file without having to redeploy the j2ee app every time a change is made.
I've been told I can use JNDI to access this file, but I can't seem to find any examples or documentation on how I can do this.
I'm new to JNDI and would appreciate any help, or suggestions.

Looking at the code you sent and the error, it looks like you should be casting the ds object to a javax.sql.DataSource object not a weblogic.jdbc.common.internal.RmiDataSource object.

I played with my application which is based on SRDemo code (with added ADF security handling protection of resources) using direct url access scenarios. I was able to access a protected page as authenticated but not authorized user. I'll try to explain what I did.
There are two folders/web resources in my application, faces/folderA/* and faces/folderB/*.
roleA only is configured to access first web resource and the roleB is configured to access the second resource.
I used ADF security to authorize only roleA for page in folderA and to authorize only roleB for page in folderB.

Once I authenticated as user in roleA I was trying to directly access URLs accessible only by users in roleB. In the beginning everything worked OK: I was dispatched to error401.jspx page with message Not authorized... etc.
But I kept trying to access different URLs, like http://localhost:8988/AB/faces, http://localhost:8988/AB/faces/folderB, http://localhost:8988/AB/faces/folderB/pageB.jspx, http://localhost:8988/AB
(not necessarily in that order, I played for a couple of minutes and the system would always dispatch to error401.jspx page if unauthorized attempt. But all of sudden, to my surprise, I got the pageB.jspx page while logged in as user belonging to roleA!)
Not sure how that happened but the connectedUser on pageB (#{userInfo.authenticated}) shows that I am logged in as user whose role is A.
I checked Authorization in ADF security and it is still correct: pageB is only accessible to roleB and pageA is only accessible to roleA.
I hope I made some stupid mistake in my configuration?

ADF Security is JAAS permission based and not container managed. Note that unless you explicitly configured ADF Security you don't use ADF Security but container managed security, which is all that I can see in your configurations.
Not sure which version fo JDeveloper you use, but if you could change the following setting

There was a known issue with the security settings in SRDemo that was caused by a defect in OC4J container managed security. I would expect this issue to be fixed in a more recent version of OC4J.
However, the work around until then is to protect all JSPX files in a directory instead of using wild card matches

Yes and no.. Sorry.. The Access data tables and data can be imported into the database, through SQL Developer. The forms I don't believe will be ported over. What will be created through is a set of maintenance report and form sets for each table you convert over.
That is a good start to converting the database over, since you will probably want to re-do your Access style vba coding to use the available templates and pl/sql code..

Using several UMTS access points (APN) for different services

I wonder if it is possible to use several UMTS access points (APN) for different services.
situation:
1) The iPhone is used for business AND private purposes.
2) The company's mobile telephone contract includes a APN, which is only usable by the employees' mobile phones.
problem / question:
Is it possible to define two access points in the iPhone, that for example the exchange account uses the company's APN, while all the other apps use the standard APN of the carrier?
Problem is, that some iPhone's benefits like Push-Messages are blocked by the carrier's APN. Now, I have to switch the access point by installing the appropriate profile every time I want to check my e-mails or vice versa for using "normal" apps.

Thanks for your help! This really helps a lot! We actually only want to replace the autonmous access point with the controller solution and make one WLAN available at another site. From what I can see, this is possible with our current solution - we just need to switch from Layer 2 to Layer 3 and purchase the corresponding amount of supported Access Points (I think we should be able to get some refurbished ones).
Am I correct in assuming that the Access Points we want to replace (AIR-AP1230B-E-K9 with 802.11b radio only) cannot be upgraded to lightweight ones? Since if I understood document http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/access_point/conversion/lwapp/upgrade/guide/lwapnote.html correctly, this is not possible with access points that only have 802.11b radios.
Regarding the switch from Layer 2 to Layer 3: Do we really only need to perform the steps I described in my first post?
And one last question regarding REAP. As far as I understood this is only needed when local traffic needs to be maintained in case the connection to the WLC becomes unavailable. So we really don't need it if we want to access resources that are only available over the WLC?

I talked with the team about this on Friday last week, I'm sorry we haven't gotten back to you sooner.
Our initial recommendation would be to recompile your application to use HTMLLoader. While StageWebView uses the OS web rendering engine, the HTML control still uses the built in webkit. However, I realize that you might not have access to the original code, be unable to distribute an update, etc.
Our intent with this change was to have StageWebView use a light weight interface to the OS rendering engine. We wanted you to have the best performance possible with the most up to date security. There were other issues we were also trying to tackle, such as decarbonizing on Mac that also influenced our decision.
All that said, we get where you are coming from, especially with Windows. I don't think it would be unreasonable to have an api that would allow you to choose if you want StageWebView to use the internal webkit or the OS version. Maybe the default would be to use the internal webkit so that older apps aren't impacted. This would be a great bug report / feature request. Getting comments and votes from other developers would also allow us insight into who is using this feature and has been effected by our changes.
If you'd like to enter a bug, please let me know the bug number and I'll take it to the team for review.

Is it possible to delete an Access Policy on OIM 11gR2?
I have created an Access Policy and associated it with a Role.
But now, due to changes, this Role should not trigger an Access Policy anymore.
I haven't found a way to disassociate the Access Policy from the Role neither a way to delete the unnecessary Access Policy.

Hi,
As far as I know, deleting an access policy is not possible. One solution would be you can create a dummy role which you will never use and remove your existing role from the access policy and assign this dummy role to the policy and save it. That should stop the auto triggering.

Is it possible to allow guests access to Airport TC network, but not the HD?

I have an Airport Time Capsule Base Station that I also use as an external hard disk. Is it possible to allow guests access to the network without granting access to the external HD feature of the TC? I also have an Airport Express set up on the same network using the same password if that makes any difference. Both the TC and Express are the latest versions. Any advice/solutions would be appreciated, thanks!

Yes, if you specify a disk password in AirPort Utility that must be used to access the Time Capsule hard drive. Only those users who know the password will be able to access the disk.

Using Firefox to access facebook chat Button or online friiend chat button generates a Black screen with CANNOT LOAD IMAGES and no chat window opens.
