Is portlet framework supported

Hi:
I am looking into the possibility of using Portal Server 6.0. Is the java standard portlet supported on Portal Server 6.0?

Portal supports standard JAVA api's, the portlet spec itself is still in development, even the early draft is still not available. SunONE portal server will support JSR 168 ( the portlet spec), once the spec is completed.

Does Oracle Exchange Portlet 2003 Support SSL?

I installed the Oracle Exchange Portlet 2003 successfully. However, when enabling SSL on the Webmail (frontend) of Exchange Server, I got the some SSL handshake error. Just wonder whether the portlet support the SSL.
Failed to handle HTTP Request
java.io.IOException: javax.net.ssl.SSLException: SSL handshake failed:
X509CertChainIncompleteErr
Any advise will be welcomed.

Framework support for all windows operating systems

Hi!
I want to build a single desktop app for windows xp, windows 7, windows vista and windows 8. someone told me that a desktop app build in visual studio 2013 will not run on xp.
Which framework version or visual studio version should I use to build a desktop app which should run on all mentioned operating systems?

Using .net 3.5 is pretty limiting.
I would have thought the lifespan and percentages of win xp and vista devices is so small that they might not be worth supporting.
This is the decision taken by the client on my current ( end consumer targeted ) project.

Is the JSR-168 portlet-container supported for 10.1.3?

And if so, what are the actions to be taken to install it on OC4J 10.1.3 standalone? I tried to install it earlier but ran into problems, see: WSRP Provider registration fails for OC4J10.1.3 container (stack), why?

Does OA Extension framework support 11.5.9 Pages ( OA 5.7H )

Metalink note 286082.1 says OA Framework Mini-Pack 11i.FWK.H (3262919) is required for Installing Jdeveloper9i IA Extension.
But we have OA 5.7H patch in our env. and want to personalize and extent business logic. Is it possible?

Setup is not a problem i guess ,because i am able to run the Page.The problem is with buttons and check box.
For example..When you are creating a EO,at the moment of select the entity there is check box like Table ,View.Where we will select the check box.
I am not abkle to select ,bez check box itself not present.
Silmilarly when Project Settings->Oracle Application->Database Connection
There is a Edit and New button , and both are not working.
I have created a EO under the Schema.server,it got created but the Plus symbol(parent,child) is not coming for schecma.server in the system navigator.

Does the CC extension framework support WebGL?

Hi all, last time I created extensions for Photoshop was for the beta of CS4 so a lot has changed!
Back then I was creating some effects using Pixelbender to create a shader, then applied that to a movieclip and everything was fine. Even this was a hack because I wanted to render a lit sphere, but had to settle for shading a normal map of a sphere. I wanted to start where I left off and just created a quick test panel trying to draw a triangle on a canvas using WebGL, but nothing is being drawn in the HTML canvas and I can't see any errors in the debug console.
Any official word on this? It would bust open a whole lot of crazy tools if WebGL was enabled.
Also on a side note, what is the HTML render/javascript engine being used in CC?

We are planning on integrating PeopleSoft with our ALUI portal for MSS. Can custom PeopleSoft fields be displayed in a PeopleSoft search/update portlet or only the standard PeopleSoft fields? We only have one custom field that we want to display in a search portlet and update portlet - all of the rest of the fields are standard PeopleSoft fields.
Also - what PeopleSoft versions does the ALUI PeopleSoft Portlet Framework support? We are running 8.8 but will eventually be moving to 8.9.

Does anyone had any idea, will the groupware portlet support Exchange server 2007. I tried with exchange 2003 is working with groupware.

JSR portlet titlebar rendering

How do we specify a skeleton uri for the titlebar in JSR 168 portlets ?
In regular weblogic portlets , if we specify skeleton uri, it is placing in portlet
file with netuix:titlebar ... skeletonUri=....../>

Our doc team is working on to get these published.
For now, please look into netuix_system.jar file for the actual schema.

Firstly, the doDispatch() method in GenericPortlet is primarily there to
dispatch to different methods based on the current mode. The behavior of
this method change from version to version (in the spec), and so, it is
cleaner to implement the doCustom() method.
The GenericPortlet calls the doCustom() method if the mode is not a
standard mode. This method is similar to doView, doEdit and doHelp
except that it is called for custom modes.

Portlet look and feel

Is it possible to modify the portleet look and feel with JSR-168 the same as we
can do with page flow portlet. I don't want to display the Maximize/Minimize as
well as the portlet title.
Is it something that can be configured in the portlet.xml file ? otherwise can

I have a portlet developed using JSF in sun creator studio and imported to the Weblogic workshop after running the portlet preparer tool. However the Maximize/Minimize button shows up but does not work on this portal.

Will JPDK Support Arabic?

I have a JSP page whcih displays arabic content properly outside the portlet framework. But in the portlet framework it is not displaying arabic even after setting charset(windows-1256) and encoding..
Can any one tell me whether there is support for arabic in the JPDK framework?

To display multibyte characters you need to make sure that:
1) the portal character set is capable of handling the characters (eg portal db and mid tier are using UTF-8 or a language specific char set
2) you set the encoding in the renderer
3) you set the content type in the JSP
You have to set the character set twice in the JPDK because the JSP engine ignores the content type that was set on the response by the JPDK. This should not be necessary in JPDK v2

Spring portlet locale change

I m implementing a locale change page, on which I have 2 portlets. On clicking on the link on one of the portlet, the locale of the page changes to the new locale as specified by the user.
I added following to the portlet.xml

And as the portlet container decides on the locale, I added the

HttpServletResponse res = (HttpServletResponse) request.getAttribute("javax.servlet.response");
res.setHeader("Accept-Language", "es_US");
to the handleRenderRequestInternal method of the class extending AbstractController<u>(Spring Portlet Framework)</u> used by the locale changing portlet.
On reload or on form GET method, the page does not change the locale.
Am I missing something.
