Is relative path can be configured when we configure FTP protocal in File

Hi All,
Here I am trying to configure a File channel with FTP as the Transport protocol. In place of Source Directory, I want to use relative path like, ./file_in(as we use in normal NFS case).
Regards,
Vara

Hi,
I guess you need to provide absolute file path while using FTP protocol.
Otherwise you will receive error which says: No such folder or directory found / exists.
If you have admin rights and you can setup virtual path in the target system than only you can use relative path.
please refer this blog as an example:

  • Need help to Configure FTPS connection for File Sender Adapter

    Hi,
I want to Configure, FTPS connection (Secured Connection) for File Sender Adapter. Could anyone please guide me, what Information I require to configure. I just want to know what Information should I request the team inorder the configure FTPS so that it can be deployed properly.
I have checked with [SAP Help Link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/e3/94007075cae04f930cc4c034e411e1/content.htm] and while configuring the communication channel found that I need Keystore and the X.509 Certificate and Private Key.  which needs to be deployed on the J2EE server by using the Visual Administrator.
Is there anything else, I need to configure.
Any help would be appreciated in this regard.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Varun.K

The basic things are Certificate/Keys which you already know. Usually it is enough for running a sceanrio.
However, if you have additional requirements, like FTPS for "Connection Security" for encryption, then you may need additional details like commands. Rest all settings are same as FTP.

  • What can i do when i get a get a file with question mark on it during start up?

i was working on my computer when i froze up i had the spinning wheel would not do anything so i turned it off and back on. when it cam back on it was just a grey screen with a flashing file with a question mark on it. What does this mean? is my computer done?

The advice Carolyn points out is sound, and hopefully it will work, but Apple needs to add some caveats to some of their "pointers" to resolving problems. If the system was working, you shut it off, then turned it on some time later and the problems emerged, the odds of it being a PRAM problem are good. For it to crash on you outright implies either an indexing problem or a problem with the hard drive or cables. In step 11, Apple should have added the phrase to zero the drive with Disk Utility prior to re-installing the operating system in the event a bad sector has developed on the drive because that would re-map the bad sectors to good, spare sectors. If it's yet another SATA cable problem, all bets are off. You'll continue to get what appears to be file corruption and problems, and it won't be consistent. If the problem is due to an actual surface failure on the drive then even though it might be fixable, you might want to consider replacing the drive.
The only product on the market that can test for bad cables and bad sectors is Scannerz, and you might not even be able to use that if you can't even boot your system. When they added Phoenix to the Scannerz package I originally thought it was just to make TechTool Pro look bad, but now it makes perfect sense - you could boot off of a so called Phoenix volume and test the system and boot it independently of the internal hard drive and the internal cables, allowing you to isolate the problem.
I would follow the advice in Carolyn's linked article up to step 11. If you get to that point, prior to re-installing the OS, use the Security Options settings in Disk Utility and zero the drive to correct (re-map) bad sectors. With luck this will be a relatively simple fix. With bad luck it will be the cable, which will cause problems down the line that will get worse and worse.

  • How can I configure where load.mlet file is written at wls startup?

How does WLS 7.0/sp4 know where to write the load.mlet file that is generated upon startup? My server will not start if WLS attempts to write this file to a location where my userid has no permissions. I need to specify another location.

    wayne,
I believe wls tries to write load.mlet under the domain directory and
deletes it after it is done using the file. Unfortunately there is no
way to tell wls to write it to another location. You could ask BEA for
    this enhancement ([email protected]).

  • How to load a .properties file by giving relative path in a JSP file.

    Hey guys,
I'm trying to load a .properties file in a JSP using relative path...
It is not taking the properties file..
    What is the problem...?
    Any solution..?
    Thanks a lot.

    Yes I tried that also.
Your path was something like this ?
    http://localhost:8080/Database/a.properties ?
Whether this path will change after client installation ? if no then what's the problem ?
For client side installation how you are going to set your conf directory for your application ?
You are not going to give client installation page ?which will have all the values to be set like conf path. database, user name(s),log folder, temp folder etc ? Why you are keeping everything on server ?
    Check if this is useful,
    String context = request.getContextPath();
    String rmtAdd = request.getRemoteAddr();
    String host = request.getRemoteHost();
    out.println("http://"+rmtAdd+context+"<BR>");
    out.println("http://"+host+context);

  • Configure FTP in OWB 10g R2

    hi
I am trying to configure FTP activity in my OWB release 2
My environment is like this :
Source Database - direct24 - linux machine - FTP server
Repository ,Target Database - direct15 - linux machine
    OWB client - node A - windows
I am working on node A trying to configure FTP to transfer files from direct24 to direct15
I have three questions on this .
    1. What should the COMMAND parameter of FTP activity be?
    /usr/bin/ftp of direct24 (linux) or c:/winnt/system32/ftp.exe of node A (windows )
Right I have it as /usr/bin/ftp
    2. While creating the target location which location should it be?
direct15 (linux) or node A (windows)
    3. Is there any other setting that needs to be done other than NATIVE_JAVA setting
    Thanks and Regards
    Renuka

1.First create Repository using Repository assistance.
    while creating repository
it will ask you for Repository user and Repository OWNER.
You can create multiple user under One OWner.
After that connect To owb using the one of the user.
Hope it will solve your problem.

  • How can I use a relative path in a Virtual Directory tag?

That is probably a bit vague, so I will explain in more detail. We are using BEA
WL Portal 7.0 and our team is developing multiple portal applications. We have
a core set of portlets (consist of JSPs) that we need to reuse in multiple portals
(Web Apps), however from a version control perspective they need to reside in
one common location. So, the solution I came up with is to use a virtual directory
for the the common directory and add this to weblogic.xml for each web app. This
works fine. However, each developer has different directory names for their project...ClearCase
view names to be specific... plus we have integration views, QA views, etc...
so we can't have any "C:\mystuff\mydomain" absolute paths anywhere in the portal
configuration. Does anyone know of a way to use a relative path for a virtual
directory? I have tried various versions of ../../ for example to try to backup
and then recurse down to the directory, but this is not working. Any ideas?
By the way this is basially just a hack for development, when we package the WAR
for QA, Prod, etc... we copy needed files and there are no virtual directories.
In other words, I don't care how "creative" solution is :)
This is what I have right now, which I need to replace with a relative directory
    name:
    <virtual-directory-mapping>
    <local-path>C:/Projects/TouchPoint_v1.0_Fix/tp_portal/bipiportals/beaApps/portalApp/tp-shared</local-path>
    <url-pattern>*</url-pattern>
    </virtual-directory-mapping>

Well, in fact you can in a special case :
    - The file you want to access is in the same directory than the applet (or in a sub-directory)
If this condition is OK, you can open the file using :
    java.io.InputStream MyInputStream = <YourAppletClassName>.class.getResourceAsStream("sidira_interactif2.svg")
With this stream, its easy to read the file content.

  • Can any one suggest me how can I use relative path inside SSIS pacakge to access config file ?

Can any one suggest me how can I use relative path inside SSIS pacakge to access config file ? Please help me as its urgent.THanks for your help in advance.

    Hi Jay,
SSIS can only recognize the absolute path of a XML Configuration file, the relative path is not supported. Furthermore, if the XML Configuration file is already generated, we can use the Environment variable package configuration type instead so that
SSIS runtime automatically looks for the configuration file from the path defined in the environment variable. This is convenient when we need to deploy a package to different environment. We only need to define the environment variable for package configurations
once on each server, and then the variable can be used by all the packages on this server.

  • How can I configure ReFS to NOT fail read operations when a checksum error is detected (on non-Storage-Spaces volumes where data integrity streams are enabled)?

According to William Stanek, in his Windows Server 2012 R2 Inside Out: Configuration, Storage & Essentials book, this is apparently possible: (pg. 615 - here it is on Google Books: https://books.google.ca/books?id=0IyfBAAAQBAJ&pg=PT819&lpg=PT819&dq=read+operation )
Integrity can be enabled when the system is not running on Storage Spaces. When
integrity is enabled and ReFS detects a checksum mismatch, ReFS logs an event and
fails the read operation by default. If you don’t want the read operation to fail, you
can configure ReFS to continue with the read operation. A related event will be logged
        regardless.
So then how do I configure it to do that???
(And just to make it super-clear, I'm NOT using Storage Spaces, so there is no redundancy via mirroring/parity, and I'm not expecting any file repair - just detection of corruption. It's just a basic volume formatted with ReFS and
with integrity streams enabled, via format E: /fs:ReFS /i:enabled
For those who want more details, here's the situation:
I try to perform a read operation on a file with corrupted data (purposely done for testing using a low-level disk editor), I get a the following error message:
And an event ID 133 from ReFSv1 gets logged in the System log:
Clicking "Try Again" just brings up the same message, and clicking "Skip" skips the operation entirely.
This is indeed the correct default behaviour.
What I want instead is for the read operation to be allowed to complete, with corrupt data and all, and ONLY for the event to be logged. And according to William Stanek, this is supposed to be configurable somewhere - and after hours of searching, I haven't
    been able to find anything.

    Hi Tommy,
    >>How can I configure ReFS to NOT fail read operations when a checksum error is detected
We can use PowerShell command Set-FileIntegrity to configure this. The specific parameter for controlling this behavior is
-Enforce <Boolean>which indicates whether to enable blocking access to a file if integrity streams do not match the data.
Regarding this point, the following article can be referred to as reference.
    Set-FileIntegrity

  • External casts not using relative paths when  protect movie

We make educational software using Director - the basic form
of the software is a stub movie projector with a load of protected
movies in a series of folders and sub folders - shared resources
are located in external casts within the folder hierarchy but not
necessarily within the same folder as the movie - this has worked
fine for ages. Navigation between movies is working fine, but..
..some of the movies are looking for external casts at their
original locations (absolute paths) rather than relative to the
movie file, so I can't port the project to another computer/
release the software without getting the error messages. Even when
I recreate the movies from scratch and link up the external casts,
I am getting the same result, almost as if the dir to dxr process
is not switching the movies from absolute paths to relative
    paths..??
    Any ideas appreciated!

  • Can't use relative paths in jsp pages or javabeans

    Hi everyone,
Can someone please help me with this little problem.
When I want to use in a JSP page the object 'FileReadInput' to read in a file, it can't find when I only give the filename. The target file and source file are in the same directory so I would expect if I only give the filename, it will automatically search in the current directory. But when I give the complete absolute path, everything works fine. Is it possible to use relative paths in a jsp or javabean file?
By the way, I am working with JDeveloper from Oracle. (maybe that has something to do with my problem)
    Can someone help me???
    Thx

    My dear friend,
It will not work at all. coz, for any jsp file, ur application server will create a .java file and then .class file in a directory other than the directory where ur .jsp file present. that's why, ur file to be read can't be found. that's why use the following.
    String path=getServletConfig().getServletContext().getRealPath("/")+File.seperator+"yourfilename";

  • Can you customize the Portal Page_Path item to use relative paths?

Why does the built-in Portal page_path item generate absolute paths instead of relative paths? It would seem to me to make sense that a breadcrumb (page_path) link would always be on the current site and that relative paths would make sense.
Is there a setting that can be changed for it to generate relative paths?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

I don't think that the portlets lend themselves to a viewing (compact) vs. using (maximized) distinction, beyond what the "Show/Hide Folders" button provides.
In other words, with the folders hidden, things are as small as we felt we could make them for both viewing and editing. The layout is quite liquid and can be stretched and shrunk to fit, given the realities of the items in each portlet (large quantities, long titles, etc.). The visitor tools allow you to arrange the portlets however you'd like.
Admittedly, the WYSIWYG editor is quite large and we'd like to provide options for the user to size it for their screen or to show/hide it in a future release.
One thing that would help would be user-selectable columns in tables I suppose. That way you could hide more columns to save space.
At one point we put the portlet in maximized mode when the user edited something, but that required a full post of the browser, negating the benefits of the AJAX portlet refreshing only itself.
Do you have any specific examples of what you'd like to see more compact?
    Your feedback is much appreciated.

I tried to rename a file, it gave me an error message (can't remember the number - 43??) and then the file disappeared from the original folder. When I do a search, the file comes up under the new name, but it does not show a path, and even though preview shows the contents, I can't open the document (Powerpoint) and I can't move the document. I tried "Copy" and paste but it doesn't work. I tried "Share" with Airdrop and iChat, but the file is inaccessible. When i try to rename the file, it says the filename is too long.
When I try to open it, it says the alias is not good, and asks if I want to fix the alias. I'm afraid to do that and lose all access to this document.
Right now, it feels like a ghost document - it is on the computer intact, but it is in an undisclosed location and inaccessible.
    Please help!!

I was able to resolve this by repairing permissions, even though no permissions error was listed specifically for that file.
I could also have recovered it through Time Machine, but I'm interested in knowing how not to have this happen again!
I was afraid of rebooting and possibly losing track even of the ghost.
I did not try EasyFind - I'll keep that in mind next time.
    Thanks for all the comments.

  • Has anyone run into the I/O error 52 when trying to load something from a relative path in extend script?

I'm having issues when loading something in a relative path through a script, on my computer I have no issues, but on 2 other devices at work, it's not working. Even at home on a PC and mac I haven't run into problems, anyone have insight on this?
    Here's where it fails:
    #include common.jsx
It's loading this in the same path another script is called from. Thoughts?

I remembered we have weird permission issues at work. Somewhere between my Home Windows 8 machine(horrible permissions issues with network), my home mac, email and my work computer, some permission got out of whack. The workaround for this was copying the file to my desktop, back to the exact same spot on the network. This resolved all issues.
