IS Retail POS Outbound

I was trying to understand the process of POS Outbound. I came to know that POS Condition Type Group should be created for telling the system that which condition types are to be moved to POS & in the same way POS Profile should be created.
Please let me know the steps to be followed after this. If possible in detail.
Regards,
Vamsi

  • IS-Retail: design error of u0091general assortmentu0092 concept&POS Outbound WPDWGR

    Hello
I have found a design error of ‘general assortment’ concept related to POS Outbound WPDWGR, but may be you could help to understand why system is designed with error.
Both 'Store Business Offline (ePOS)' and 'Assortment Management' are recommended by SAP as 'best practices'.
'Assortment Management' recommends to use assignment of merchandise categories with general assortments, REFSITE and WSOA6. This documentation promotes concept of 'general assortments' and assignment of assortment users.
IDoc WPDWGR 'Download merchandise categories' is recommended in 'Store Business Offline (ePOS)' best practices for Retail. Program that generates this IDoc knows nothing about general assortments, REFSITE, WSOA6. It uses old assignment of merchandise categories to local assortment in WB02 or WB30. It was not updated to be compatable with 'general assortment' concept.
There is no warning in documentation that if customer will use one of 'best practices' for Retail then another will be not applicable.

Does anyone has experience of solving long-time 'ping-pong' OSS customer messages with SAP Support?

  • POS outbound profile (Idoc type u0096 WP_PLU02)

    Hi all
I have facing problem when I have flow data from sap to pos –
Problem- there is one article that not listed to a site but when I m flowing article  with the help of wpma Idoc of this article is also generated for the particular site and flow data to that site
I want if article is not listed to site then idoc will not generated
    Idoc type – WP_PLU02

    Hi Justin,
key of the record WP_PLU IDoc is the article number and unit of measurement. This is always transferred with the main EAN/UPC (MARM-EAN11 in the article master data). All additional EAN (from table MEAN in the article master data) are transferred in the WP_EAN Message. There is no option to include additional EAN/UPCs into the WP_PLU IDoc.
This approach works well as long as the POS system uses a similar data model with PLUs (with the key of the main EAN/UPC) and cross reference UPCs in a separate table.
However if your POS system requires a PLU per EAN/UPC it would be necessary that the middleware between SAP Retail and POS creates these records as a combination of the WP_PLU and WP_EAN messages. In this case it would be required that the POS Outbound creates a WP_EAN message each time when a WP_PLU message is created and vice versa.
The creation of this additional message can be controlled by the Parameter TWPFI-EAN_ART.

  • POS Outbound - sending multiple EANs per article in WP_PLU03

The configuration help on POS Outbound profile field TWPFI-EAN_ART (Indicator for article/EAN cross-reference) indicates that in this flag should be maintained when older POS systems are not able to accomodate a relationship between article number and UPC/EAN when multiple UPCs/EANs exist for an article.
Example: Article 4711 has UPC 123 and 456, both for UOM "EA". When the article is created and RWDPOSUP (TCode WPMU) or RWDPOSAN (TCode WPMA) is executed, two IDocs are generated: WP_PLU03 and WP_EAN01. However, I cannot use both IDocs as a source for my POS system's PLU. Instead, I want the WP_PLU03 to contain all UPCs/EANs for the article - in essence I would have two E1WPA01 segments for article 4711 - one for UPC 123 and the other for UPC 456. The help for this field, as I understand it, would do just this - however, enabling the configuration has no apparent effect, and in debugging the code, I cannot find where TWPFI-EAN_ART is taken into account during IDoc generation. Has anyone used this configuration before?

    Hi Venkat
    Interaction with POS means :-
    1. SAP IS Retail - exchanges data with POS - ( th'o POS Outbound )
i.e All the master data from IS Retail gets downloaded to POS. For E.g - Article data - like EAN, Price, Tax, Merchandise Category Data etc.
    2. Similarly - Once the day end happens - POS Inbound can be configured to send data Back into SAP Retail ( For Relevant Postings ) -  For e.g - Aggregated Sales Data, payment List etc .
Both 1 & 2 are Mandatory Activities for Data Exchange to happen.
Every Store -  will have Partner Profiles ( POS Outbound & POS Inbound )

  • POS Outbound Mechandise with 9 EANs

    Hello,
We are testing a scenario having an article with 3 Unit of Measures and two additional EANs to each unit which makes the total 9 EANs for an article.
Now we are using POS Outbound merchandise service to transfer this article with 9 EANs to SAP POS 2.3 application.
Result : We receive only 3 EANs related to base unit of measure as the XI/PI mappings filter any other Unit of Measure (UoM) except the Base Unit of Measure.
Is this a limitation for SAP POS 2.3 or an accepted real-time scenario which states that any article cannot be sold with 3 different UoM (Unit of Measure) like Piece, Box and Pallette where we are using SAP POS solution.
An early response will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Nitin

Is there a Retail Price maintained for each selling unit of measure?   In Article Master, there must be a Sales View maintained and and Retail Price maintained for the Unit of Measure or it will not be included in POS Outbound.

  • Sending price condition in WBBDLD for POS outbound

    Hi experts
I am facing some problem when do configuration in order to send the price condition to POS through message type WBBDLD.
Client is using ZP01 tag price instead of VKP0 as the condition
Below are the config that I have performed but the price is not sending out.
    1. (Sales and distribution --> POS interface --> outbound --> maintain POS condition type group) A new condition type group is created that replace VKP0 compared to the original SAP standard one.
    2. (Sales and distribution --> POS interface --> outbound --> maintain profile for POS outbound) A new POS outbound profile using the above new condition type group
    3. Site maintenance WB03, assign above new POS outbound profile to the specific store
    4. (Logistics-general --> assortment --> assortment list --> controlling condition change analyses --> direct entry for creating the worklist --> activation of the direct entry for creating the worklist) tick "direct entry indicator" for 50 assortment list
    5.  (Logistics-general --> assortment --> assortment list --> controlling condition change analyses --> maintain filter setting for condition types) Add a new row for ZP01 for table no. 901
    Really appreciate your advice.
    BR
    Dom

    Hi Honghai,
Actually it's based on the customer pricing procedure. The default one is VKP001. If you assign the other customer pricing procedure in Tcode: OVKK, you should add the condition type to the corresponding pricing procedure.

  • Retail POS Data

    Hi
We have a requirement where in we need to transfer data from Retail POS system into BW cubes. I read in help portal that POS Inbound Processing Engine (PIPE) is used to pull the data from POS database.
    1. Is PIPE available readily in BI system or do we need to install any pack or software?
    2. Do we need to make any customization (SPRO)settings in BI?
    3. Do we need to maintain any RFC connection?

  • Difference between Oracle ORDM Product and Retail POS Suite

Can someone please tell me if the Oracle ORDM Product and the Retail POS Suite by Oracle is the same or different.
    Regards,
    Akshatha

    Thanks for the reply.
So, ORDM is a datawarehouse model which could be used for the analytics purpose like generating reports on the organisation's performance, having key performance indicators to measure up the metrics.
And, Oracle Retail PoS Suite is a Point of Sale Application which can be used to carry out the activities related to point of sale.
Please let me know if my understanding is appropriate.
Thanks in Advance for the help.

  • IS Retail: Vendor Rebate based on Retail POS Sales

We are a Retailer with vendor rebate agreements. We run SAP IS-Retail on ECC 5.0. Some vendor rebate agreements are based on purchase volume, some are based on POS sales volume. We have been successful configuring the purchase-based vendor rebates.
However, we're having some difficulty determining how to set up the sales-based vendor rebate agreements. Has anyone done this successfully? Can you summarize the steps?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
The standard SAP rebates functionality is based on MM-Purchasing and the business volume is done on Purchase Order / Goods Receipt or Invoice.
Even we had a lot of trouble calculating rebates on Sales.
SAP has a Partner named Vistex and they have a add on solution called Rebates and Chargebacks which addresses a number of different types of rebates eg Chargebacks (Rebates on sales), price proteaction etc.
You can have a look at this functionality.

  • Retail POS solution in Houston,TX

    Hi All,
I wan to buy retail point of sale software and system for my shop. I need a features that have ability to support kits, returns and exchanges, and support for digital scales. My friend using NOVA 4.5 (http://www.novapointofsale.com/) and give me great feedback. If anyone of you know better POS software and system, kindly suggest me.
    Thanks,
    Vandy

    Hi,
    - /POSDW/MON0 is the  transaction code to your POS Workbech screen.
    - Here you input posting date range and search for all available transactions.
    - If there are any transactions in workbench which are not processed yet, then they will be shown in grey
    - drill down to your site level detail and double click on Sales movement folder > then you can see all individual receipts on your right hand side window.
    - from here select all rows and hit Execute button, this will push transactions from POS workbench to your delta queue.
    - if there are none available in POS Workbench, then you have to process transactions from your FTP server or XI server to push to POS Workbench first. Then follow the above procedure.
    - Before any of the above steps, you must make sure that you have master data loaded for 0RPA_MEAN info object.
