Is tablespace block size and database block size have different meanings

at the time of database creation we can define database block size
which can not be changed afterwards.while in tablespace we can also
define block size which may be different or same as define block size
at the time of database creation.if it is different block size from
the database creation times then what the actual block size using by oracle database.
can any one explain in detail.

You can't meaningfully name things when there's nothing to compare and contrast them with. If there is no keep or recycle cache, then whilst I can't stop you saying, 'I only have a default cache'... well, you've really just got a cache. By definition, it's the default, because it's the only thing you've got! Saying it's "the default cache" is simply linguistically redundant!
So if you want to say that, when you set db_nk_cache_size, you are creating a 'default cache for nK blocks', be my guest. But since there's no other bits of nk cache floating around the place (of the same value of n, that is) to be used as an alternate, the designation 'default' is pointless.
Of course, at some point, Oracle may introduce keep and recycle caches for non-standard caches, and then the use of the differentiator 'default' becomes meaningful. But not yet it isn't.

Problem in Execute query on non-database block and database block together

Hi All,
In my form,i have
1. First block is Non-database block with one non-database item.
2. Second and third blocks are database blocks.
Now the problem is that i want to perform execute-query for all the blocks.
If the cursor is on the non-database item of 1st block and i clicks on the "Enter-query" then i am getting message " This function can not be performed here".
If i click on the item of the database block and then clicks on the "Enter-query" and then "execute-query" it's working fine.
But i don't want to do in this way.
My cursor will be on the First block only and then it should perform execute-query.
I am using this non-database item to copy value of this item to the item of the database block item.
I think i make you understand about my problem.
I am using forms 10g on Window xp.
Please help me.

Simply create a enter-query trigger on the non-database-block:

enter_query;
end;If your search criteria is in the non-database-item in the first block,
you actually do not need the enter_query build-in.
Just create a execute-query trigger on the first block like:

go_block ( 'database_block' );
execute_query;
go_item ( :System.trigger_item );
end;And in a pre-query trigger on the database-block copy the
value of your seach item into the item you want to search for.

Rounding Value,Minimum Lot Size and Maximum Lot Siz parameters

Please explain me the what is the use of the parameter Rounding Value
,Minimum Lot Size and Maximum Lot Size parameters in the product master and how does it in impact during the Heuristic Run?

Rounding value is the incremental quantities in which the order can be produced/procured. Eg. if orders are possible with quantities 40,60, 80, 100 etc..then rounding value is 20.
Min lot size is the minimum quanity in which order can be produced eg. 40 in above example
Max lot size is the maximum quanitity in which the order can be produced/procured. eg. 100 in our example
Impact on Heuristic run: heuristics takes all the above parameter to plan supply order. eg. if requirement is 55, it will supply plan for 60. If requirement is 120, it will produce two orders - one for 100 and the other for 20. if the reuqirement is 10, the order size will be 40.

GR Blocked stocks means if you have doubt about the stock you can post these stocks to GR Blocked stock with mvt type 103.In this case no accounting documents generated.Once you gets clarified the doubt about stock you can move the stock to your stock with mvt 105.Once you post the document with 105 you can get accounting documents will be generated.
Also for transfer posting from Stock type Blocked Stock to Quality Inspection Stock or Unrestricted-use Stock, whether accounting document will generate or not...
Blocked stock is you are blocked these stocks for other movements This stock you can transfer mvt 343 & 344 blocked to unrestricted or unrestricted to block.In this cas you are moving the stocks with in storage location in single plant so thesre is no accounting generated.only stock status changed..

What do you mean the PC won't let you transfer the music? Save your entire iTunes folder (this is assuming that you have all your music stored in your iTunes folder) to an external hard drive. Connect that hard drive to your Mac. Copy the iTunes folder to your computer. Hold down the option key while launching iTunes on your Mac. Select the library you just copied when it ask you to select which library you want to open.

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.

IP01 Error - Unit MON and counter unit PO have different dimensions

Hi guys,
Some of our data loads in IP01 - Create Maintenance Plan were successful, some are not. I've check the data loads and I'm getting the following error. Tried to google but can't seem to find any solutions online.
Has anyone seen this error message?

Diagnosis
Unit PO of the counter that has been entered has a different dimension to unit MON of the maintenance cycle.

i think it seems the error related to unit you entered in counter and unit you maintained in cycle is different. so check in the counter what is the unit you entered. it should be MON or change the cycle to the unit PO.
What is the PO you should maintain counter and cycle has same unit of measure. like Maintenance plan for running hours of a machine you should create a Measuring counter with the unit of hrs and the cycle should be like 300hrs,600hrs.

Urgent: Huge diff in total redo log size and archive log size

I have a concern regarding size of redo log and archive log generated.
Is the equation below is correct?
total size of redo generated by all sessions = total size of archive log files generated
I am experiencing a situation where when I look at the total size of redo generated by all the sessions and the size of archive logs generated, there is huge difference.
My total all session redo log size is 780MB where my archive log directory size has consumed 23GB.
Before i start measuring i cleared up archive directory and started to monitor from a specific time.
Environment: Oracle 9i Release 2
How I tracked the sizing information is below

Now, total sum of REDO_SIZE (B.VALUE) this is far less than archive log size. This at time when no other user is logged in except myself.
Is there anything wrong with query for collecting redo information or there are some hidden process which doesnt provide redo information on session basis.
I have seen the similar implementation as above at many sites.
Kindly provide a mechanism where I can trace which user is generated how much redo (or archive log) on a session basis. I want to track which all user/process are causing high redo to generate.
If I didnt find a solution I would raise a SR with Oracle.

You can query v$sess_io, column block_changes to find out which session generating how much redo.
The following query gives you the session redo statistics:

group by a.sid,b.name
If you want, you can only look for redo size for all the current sessions.

Adjust front panel to screen size and re-position objects on different systems automatically

Hello, i have designed a vi that contains 5 led's placed at the 4 corners and center of the front panel which occupies the entire screen. However, this vi is to be used on different systems having different screen sizes. But on every screen, i'll need the front panel size = screen size and the led's to be placed to the centers and corner of this new screen size automatically without any manual operations and positioning bieng done every time. Will the resize option perform this task completely or do i have to go for some other techniques?

As far as I know, what you want is not easy to do but it is doable but you have to programmatically do it (no Labview setting). Here is an example for only 2 LEDs but I suppose that you will be able to make it work for your other LEDs.
This VI maximizes the front panel and then positions the 2 LEDs in the center and top right corner upon running. The LEDs are positioned according to their own top left corners, not according to their centers.

Fixed lot size and Minimum lot size

Dear senior,
My client has the following scenario. His supplier provides the item in a fixed lot size of 100. The minimum lot size to be ordered is 300.
The supplier is a fixed vendor.
I tried to maintain this information in the Material Master MRP views. Lot size - FX, Fixed lot size - 100, Minimum lot size - 300.
However, everytime, the minimum lot size will get reset.
Is there any way , I can maintain this scenario via configuration or any other method?

Fixed lot size - 100 means for every 100 quantity system will create one purchase document.
If you selected Lot size - FX - Fixed order quantity , then no need to maintain Minimum lot size & Maximum lot size fields.
Then you have to maintain Fixed lot size filed only.
Ex:
Lot size = FX
Fixed lot size = 100
There is a requirement of 300. Then system will create 3 PO's with quantity of 100 each.
If Lot size is Ex - Lot-for-lot order quantity, then only need to maintain Minimum lot size & Maximum lot size fields in the MRP 1 view.
Ex: Lot size = EX
Minimum lot size = 60
Maximum lot size = 100
There is a requirement of 250. Then system will create 3 purchase documents, two documents with the quantity of 100 and third one with the quantity of 60.
That's why, in your case system is reseting Minimum lot size every time.
If you want to maintain Minimum lot size, then maintain
Lot size as EX
Minimum lot size = 100
Max lot size = 300
It will solve your problem.

1. Right-click the field that you want to move conditionally, and select Size
and Position.
2. Click the Conditional Formula button next to the X position value field.
3. In the Formula Workshop, enter your conditional X position formula text.
For example, to move orders that were shipped late to a second column,
enter formula text such as this:
If (Orders.Ship Date) < CDateTime (2004, 01, 01, 02, 10,
11) then 4320
Note: The number 4320 represents the new position that you want to
define as the second column. The position is measured in twips; there
are 1440 twips in an inch.
4. Click Save and close to return to your report.
5. Click OK to save your position setting.
Crystal Reports moves objects that meet your condition to a new position, but
leaves those objects that donu2019t meet the condition where you originally placed
them.

Difference between deleting invoice blocking reason and releasing blocked i

Hi - in mrbr we have two options - one is to delete a blocking reason and the other is to release the invoice.
It appears that it is possible to delete the blocking reason and this releases the invoice for payment.
It is also possibel to releease the invoice without deleting the blocking reason and this has the same effect.
Why do both things appear to do the same?

The both cases differ in approach, we use delete blocking reason if there is any block existing for the Invoice and after that if the system finds no other block on Invoice header ten the Invoice is automatically released, however if we go for direct release then only those Invoices are released which had blocking reasons but some business transactions have nullified the block already.

Delayed block cleanout and how blocks actually get altered

A question about how data|index blocks are actually changed (altered).
Let's suppose that...
A block B1 gets flushed to disk and is removed from the buffer cache before transaction T1, having locked some of its rows, has committed.
Transaction T1 commits while that block is (only) on disk.
Another transaction, T2, pulls the block from disk into the buffer cache, and realizes some of its rows were locked by T1, which, has committed.
Delayed block cleaout occurs (thanks to T2).
But LGWR performed it job, say, long before, while B1 was (only) on disk.
And the redo thread is write only.
So how does B1 gets altered ?
I've read that T2 would do so by using information located in the undo segment that was assigned to T1.
'Seems strange.
Is that right ?

It’s possible that some of the blocks changed by your transaction were written to disc by dbwr and were even flushed from the buffer cache before you issued the commit. Your session will not re-read these blocks in order to do a commit cleanout on them. In fact, if your transaction was quite large and modified a lot of blocks, it’s quite possible that your session will not even do a commit cleanout on all of the blocks that are still in memory – Oracle doesn’t want to make the user wait for a commit to complete, so it’s a bit lazy about commit cleanout.
At some later point in time another session may read one of those blocks and discover that the ITL includes a transaction that has committed but not been cleaned out. (It can work this out by cross-checking the ITL entry with the relevant transaction table slot in the undo segment header block).
This session will read the commit SCN from the transaction table slot, tidy up the block’s ITL entry, and clear all the related lock bytes. (And it will do this for all committed transactions it finds on the block). This process is known as block cleanout, and because this full cleanout mechanism never takes place on the commit it is more commonly known as delayed block cleanout.
The delayed block cleanout operation changes the block so it generates redo – which is why you may see redo being generated on a select statement, especially after a very big update. (Interestingly, Oracle will report db block changes as this happens – but doesn’t record the block visits as db block gets.)

I am confused and a new user to apple products. We have slowly aquired, an ipod touch, for my daughter. Then I was gifted an iphone. I thought in order to be able to communicate via facetime, we would have different apple id's??? When I tried to change her apple id on her ipod touch, to her own, I think I really messed up, now I am unable to upload gift cards, and somehow it has switched back to my apple id? and not accepting my apple id password? My husband received an ipad, for Christmas, and he created his own apple id, which i am fine with, just having the problem with my daughters ipod touch not being able to upload the gift card, and also wondering if we need different apple id's and if that is my problem?

Create Apple IDs for everyone individually and use that in Settings > Facetime, Settings > Messages, Settings > Game Center but keep the Apple ID used for app and content purchases in Settings > iTunes and App Stores
