Difference between deleting invoice blocking reason and releasing blocked i

Hi - in mrbr we have two options - one is to delete a blocking reason and the other is to release the invoice.
It appears that it is possible to delete the blocking reason and this releases the invoice for payment.
It is also possibel to releease the invoice without deleting the blocking reason and this has the same effect.
Why do both things appear to do the same?

Hi,
The both cases differ in approach, we use delete blocking reason if there is any block existing for the Invoice and after that if the system finds no other block on Invoice header ten the Invoice is automatically released, however if we go for direct release then only those Invoices are released which had blocking reasons but some business transactions have nullified the block already.

  • Difference between delete aged discovery data and delete inactive client discovery data maintenance tasks

I'm setting up a new CM12 site and one issue with our current CM2007 site that I'm trying to minimise in this new site is the discovery and retention of dead clients.
I think the new options as part of the system and group discoveries to only discover systems that have logged on to a domain/updated their password in a set period will resolve the majority of the problems we have here. I've set both of these to 30 days.
Management are keen to be pretty aggressive with the retention period so we're looking to only keep computers in the database that have heartbeated within 30 days. I've set the heartbeat discovery to 8 hours and now I'm looking at the maintenance tasks.
The task I think I need to configure is 'delete inactive client discovery data'. I've set this to 30 days and to run every Saturday. If I look at the 'delete aged discovery data' task it's set to 90 days every Saturday. How will that affect things?
Do I need to make both tasks match?
P.S. Thoughts on the retention period...is 30 days too aggressive? My original design was 60 days.

I do have question about this and more related to "Delete Aged Discovery Data".  I've got following configured in my environment for AD Discovery  (Development environment)
do not discover machine not logged on for 80 days | do not discover machines not changed password for 80 days.
    if I run the query select * from v_r_system (nolock) where datediff("dd", last_logon_date0, getdate()) > 80
    it returns about 600 devices.
The task "Delete Aged Discovery Data" is also configured to remove anything that has not been discovered in last 80 days.   When this task run I would expect that the 600 devices should be removed from the db, however it only removed 1 device ???
    question I have
do you know which other criteria is taken into consideration for this to work.  I'm currently using SQL Profiler to determine which StoredProcedure/Function is used to remove these devices.
this is my development environment I only have 2-3 clients all the other devices are just discovered with no SCCM Client installed.
do the devices have to be discovered as part of AD Device discovery or is it sufficient that they get discovered through AD Group membership, in our environment AD Device discovery will not work as we don't have WINS/ DDNS enabled.
    thx for any help.

  • In mail, what is difference between deleted and discarded mail

In settings, mail, what is difference between deleted mail and discarded mail? My google account on iPad does not remove mail that I have deleted from account using other devices. My other devices and google accounts don't have this issue. I've checked settings for account and can not isolate the cause. I'm considering deleting account from iPad and then adding it back in to see if that removes the 1000+ emails that have accumulated. I don't usually use iPad for email which is why they are mostly unread on iPad.

    Collection Classes
Often we have to deal with a set or group of objects, or values. Collection Classes are important structures that have a number of methods that allow objects to be added, retrieved, or removed from such collections.
Objects can be grouped in a collection like sets, lists, stacks, or queues.
A set is an unordered collection of elements, from which any item may be removed.
A list is an ordered collection of elements, from which any item may be removed.
A stack is a restrictive form of list that obeys a last-in-first-out (LIFO) rule.
e.g.     a stack of plates stored after being washed, then used again.
A queue is also a restrictive form of list that obeys a first-in-first-out (FIFO) rule.
e.g.     a queue at a bus-stop, where the first bus to join the queue is the first one to leave.
An important Java Collection class is the Vector class:
         java.util.Vector
This vector class is a simple list of objects, which can be referenced by an index starting from 0 (similar to arrays). The components of a vector must be objects.
    i.e. Vector: object0 object1 object2lastObject .. spare
    capacity                         ( size - 1)
So, a vector can grow as more objects are added. The size of a vector is how many objects are in the vector. The capacity is how many objects can be stored in the vector before it needs to expand again. When it needs to expand it normally doubles its capacity. The default capacity is 10.
    e.g.     Vector v1;          // declare v1 as a Vector object
         v1 = new Vector();     // create a Vector instance

  • Difference between shipping invoice and fiscal invoice?

    Helo.
Can anyone tell me the difference between Shipping Invoice and Fiscal Invoice?
    Regards
    Points are assured

    Hi Kulkarni,
    Invoice Processing
    Process
You can use this business process to display and process invoices both in SAP Enterprise Buyer (SAP EBP) and SAP Supplier Self-Services (SAP SUS).
As supplier or service provider, all invoices that you enter or process in SAP Enterprise Buyer must be approved by a responsible internal employee. For goods and services with a low purchase value, invoices and credit memos can also be created without a purchase order reference. Moreover, it is also possible to create express invoices in the check status application.
In SAP Supplier Self-Services (SAP SUS) invoices can be entered with reference to a purchase order, shipping notification, or contact person before they are sent to the customer.
If, following a purchase order, the goods supplied or the service provided turn out to be defective or the price charged is too high, you as an internal employee, supplier, or service provider, can enter and process credit memos or subsequent debits/credits in SAP Enterprise Buyer
i think the invoice generated during a particular fiscal year is fiscal invoice.
    thanks

  • Difference between doc date, posting date and invoice date

    hi bw guys
can someone give a brief on the difference between doc date, posting date and invoice date.and the invidual definitions
    thank you

    Hi,
Posting Date: Date which is used when entering the document in Financial Accounting or Controlling. The posting date can differ from both the entry date and the doc date.
Document Date: The document date is the date on which the original document was issued. Ex: Inv date, Bill date etc.,
Invoice Date : Usually the date when goods are shipped. Payment dates are set relative to the invoice date.

  • What is the difference between a Prod Ord (Created) and Prod Ord (Released)

    Hi
Please can someone advise the significant differences between a Prod Ord (Created) and
    Prod Ord (Released)
And what are the effects/relations of each of them to Dependant demand in APO SNP for a products BOM components.
I currently have a product where the Ord Res for the BOM component only appears against Dependant demand key figure in APO SNP when the Prod Ord is Released
    Thanx
    Keegan

In addition to what Senthil has mentioned
The ATP Category on the order element at
Header product                                            Component product Requirement Element
Production Order (Created)                           Dependent Demand (AY)
Production Order (Released)                         Order Reservation  (AU or AV)
Check the category group assignment for Dependent Demand keyfigure in your SNP Planning Area.
The Dependent Demand keyfigure 9ADMDSE for 9AMALO aggregate will have Category Group assignment DS1 as standard. DS1 has AU, AV, AY and EL Categories details of which are below
ATP Cat                                     Catergory Description               Category Type
AU     OrdRes     Order reservation not withdrawable     Requirements
AV     OrdRes (W)     Order reservation withdrawable     Requirements
AW     OrdRes     Order reservation not withdrawable     Receipts
AX     OrdRes (W)     Order reservation withdrawable     Receipts
    AY     DepDmd     Dependent demand                                     Requirements
    AZ     DepDmd     Dependent demand                                     Receipts
So if you have some other Category Group assignment which does not have AY in it. So unless the Production Order is Released you do not see the component requirement in Dependent Demand keyfigure in Interactive SNP.
    Hope this helps.

  • Difference between Profoma Invoice F5 and F8

    Dear Gurus,
Can any one explain me the difference between Profoma Invoice F5 and F8 apart from order relevant and delivery relevant profoma Invoice. Thanks in advance.
    Regds
    Jeevagan

    Hi
    As far as i know
F5 is an Order related Proforma Invoice and F8 is delivery related. Apart from this the copy controls will be maintained from Order to billing for F5.
Similarly the copy controls will be maintained from Delivery to billing for F8 Proforma.
Also for F5 you can create the billing doc after creating the sales order itself.
for F8 Proforma invoice you have to create a sales order and delivery then only you can create a F8 Proforma.
    regards
    Prashanth

  • Difference between cleared items, open items and all postings (FI).

    Hi experts,
Can anybody tell me the difference between cleared items, open items and all postings for an account.
While running corresponding bapis and transaction FAGLL03 (for GL) or FBL1N (for accounts payable) i found that in some cases all postings is less than cleared items or open items for a time period. How could it happen.According to my knowledge all postings should contain cleared items and open items.
    Please correct me..
    Thanks and Regards
    Arjun

    Hi Arjun,
For every Billing Documnet created(VBRK/VBRP-VBELN) there will be an accounting document created in BSID/BSAD tables.
OPEN ITEMS means the Billed/Invoice Amounts that are pending from Customers, i.e which we have to receive from Customers.
CLOSED ITEMS means the AMOUNTS received from that customer.
OPEN ITEMS : fetch data from BSID table Only
CLOSED ITEMS : fetch data from BSAD only.
ALL POSTINGS : fetch data from both BSID and BSAD.
    Hope this will help.

  • What is the difference between component(Y, Pb, Pr) and component(R,G,B)?

[I previously posted this question in another thread as hadn't realised how to post new question]
    Q. What is the difference between component (Y, Pb, Pr) and component (R,G,B) ?
I’d previously thought I was reasonably savvy on all things HD, but when I turned my thoughts to looking into getting a mac mini to run part of my home cinema I realise I have some confusions around the above.
    Here’s what I think I know:-
The mac mini has a DVI output of the type which can output both digital and analogue, and so via physical adapters it could be used to connect to displays that take HDMI or VGA style RGB leads.
I know on the market I can get a DVI to Component cable lead which would therefore lead me to assume it could drive my HD plasma with component input (Y,Pb,Pr), as I currently drive the HD TV via component cable with a SKY HD box (720p and 1080i), an xbox 360 (720p) and a progressive scan DVD player (480p), all through a Denon AV-amp.
The problem is, I’ve heard somewhere that the DVI to component is R,G,B only and that it is not Y, Pb, Pr which is making me wonder it a) this will work and b) if I really understand component video afterall.
I notice the Apple TV outputs Y,Pb,Pr but colours them red, green and blue, so am even more confused….
Hopefully someone can help educate me on this !

    Thanks for this.
My Plasma is a Panasonic 42" Viera March 2005 model. No HDMI, No VGA.
It can process signals up to 720p and 1080i via the component (an interestingly it makes a huge difference over SD even though the native panel is 480..!?!)
Am I right in thinking that the iPod component cable will also be R,G,B and therefor might be a suitable trial? Ie. if the TV accepts the input from the iPod then it should work for the mini?
Only other thing of note is I'm doing all this via my Denon 1707 AV amp which does have the facility of upscaling, but I imagine it needs to stick to one format?
    Thanks.

  • Difference between sales order schedule line and item level data

    Hi All,
Could you please let me know what is the difference between sales order schedule line and item level data?
    Thanks,
    Ramya

    Hi Ramya,
Sales order schedule line contains del date, order qty, rounded qty, confirmed qty, delivery qty, schedule line category, purchase requisition etc.,  ie It contains the full details of sales order data with respect to the scheduled line of delivery.  The total quantity of a sales order item can be subdivided into schedule lines that contain the various subsets with the corresponding delivering dates.
Sales order Item level data contains details of the item in the sales order like material code, net price, net value, UoM, PO details, reason for rejection if any, material group, billing date, plant etc., ie this
contains the full details of item irrespective of scheduled line.

  • Difference between different Invoices

    Hi Frnds,
Can any body let me know the difference between Commercial invoice,
Tax Invoice & Retail Invoice in terms of Bussiness as well as SAP.
    Regards
    sunil

A commercial invoice is a bill for the goods from the seller to the buyer. Commercial invoices are utilized by customs officials to determine the value of the goods in order to assess customs duties and taxes.
In general there is no standard form for a commercial invoice although they tend to contain many of the following features:
    seller's contact information
    buyer's contact information
consignee's contact information (if it is different from the buyers)
    invoice date
    a unique invoice number
sales terms (usually in incoterm format)
    payment terms
    currency of sale
full quantities and description of merchandise (Generally this includes unit price and total price. Product descriptions should be consistent with the buyer's purchase order. Including the Harmonized System commodity codes can be helpful, especially in countries that are WTO members.)
certification that the invoice is correct (Standard language is "We certify that this invoice is true and correct."
Excise Invoice is  charged on the sale of a particular good.
For Combination of creating 2-3 invoices we need to maintain the same
    - Payer.
    - Shedule Lines.
    - Payments Terms .
Excise invoice “Original for Buyer copy”, whether  prices are inclusive or exclusive of excise duty.
The invoice in which the Excise duties are included.
As per Indian tax system, Excise duty (16%) is payable by each manufacturing unit on the value of manufactured goods / on the value added. The manufacturing plant is supposed to submit an excise duty report on fortnightly / monthly basis. Various registers (RG1, RG23A, RG23C, PLA) are maintained for that purpose, which record all the transactions including movement of goods, cenvat credit available and cash balance available.
In SAP, we use transaction j1id for configuration and j1iin, j2i7, j1i5, j2i5, j2i6, j1ip for creating, extracting and printing excise invoice.
    Rewards Points if it useful.
