Is the Global Document Storage (GDS) used in Rights Management?

I am setting up an Adobe LiveCycle ES3 server exclusively for Rights Management; and I am wondering if the folder for the Global Document Storage (GDS) will contain any files that need to be backup'ed in case for system recovery.

Application data exists in the database and in Global Document Storage (GDS), and must be backed up in real time. GDS is a directory that is used to store long-lived files that are used within a process. These files may include PDFs, policies, or form templates. "
However, during my testings I don't see any file activities on the GDS folder such as file creation, deletion, etc. Under what Rights Management operations or scenarios would files, policies be stored in the GDS?
Maybe I am testing using the proper conditions?

Change the FM Document from MIRO (using BTE)

Hi,
At the moment to post the document from MIRO, I need to change the fields Commitment Item (FIPOS) and Funds Center (FISTL) of financial accounting document in order to FM document takes the new values.
I Used the FIBF with a BTE (Event 1120), the fields FIPOS and FISTL in the financial accounting document were changed but the FM document does not take the new changes.
Somebody can help and determine which can be the problem or if I need to do something different.

This is my code in the function:
    LOOP AT t_bseg.
        READ TABLE T_BSEGSUB WITH KEY TABIX = v_tabix.
        t_bsegsub-fipos = v_fipos.
        t_bsegsub-fistl = v_fistl.
        MODIFY T_BSEGSUB INDEX v_tabix.
    ENDLOOP.
You can see that is the same like yours and changed the values in the financial document but this last one is the base for the other document (FM).
It's right that I can only substitute the field avalaible in the structure BSET_SUBST and these fields doesn't exist in structure but with an append structure I did.

In VF01 transaction before saving the billing document, can we use "issue output to" under Billing Document in Menu.
i.e., can we enable the option "Billing Document -> Issue output to -> Issue output to"

No as a standard, unless the billing document is created and released to accounting, you can't use issue output to.

How to get the PDF Document version when using Digital Signature

Hi,
I have a form which contains two signature fields.
When i sign the form the pdf document is saved as a version which can be seen by clicking the Signature Panel.
I need to get the binary of the versions stored in the form.
Please suggest me the how to get the version data from the form.

I think I have run into a similar issue and have not been able to find a resolution.
I have been trying to place three groupings of data and limit them to 15 rows; additional rows would print on a void check on a next page using the rtf template.
Earnings .............. Pre-Tax Deductions .........Taxes

The template works fine with these lists as nested tables until I add in the restriction and filler for the 15 rows for the first table. The data in the 2nd two lists does not appear once the limitation is added.

Not able to validate the xml document against DTD using SAX

i am not able to validate xml document against its DTD using SAX parser even after setting setValidating = true. even if the file is not correct according to DTD , it is not throwing any exception. what could be the reason.? please help..

actually the same program i wrote in java
and the same method i was calling from the main
and it is working fine and the xml document is getting displayed one important thing to be noted here is that the factory.newDocumentBuilder().parse(new File(filename));is returing XmlDocument
and the printing takes place
but the in same method public static Document parseXMLFile(String filename, boolean b) in servlet
the line factory.newDocumentBuilder().parse(new File(filename)); is returning DeferredDocumentImpl
and this creating problem , had it returned XmlDocument
i would have printed the elements one one
but as it is returning deferredimpl
iam unable to print the elements
could you please tell me why factory.newDocumentBuilder().parse(new File(filename)); is returning DeferredDocumentImpl
in servlets but in plain java pogram it is returing XmlDocument

Why unable to open the item? Or "Protected by Digital Rights Management".

I read ebooks with Adobe Reader. But lately some books (file type epub) are impossible to open. When trying on my PC (Windows 8) I get the answer ”Unable to open the item. Please contact Sony customer support. Error: document.”. And when trying on my ebook reader Sony PRS-T2 i get the answer ”Protected by Digital Rights Management”.
Moreover, it is the same thing with my android devices (tablet Sony Xperia Z2 and smartphone Sony Xperia ZR), where I use UB Reader to read. My tablet says ”Filformatet stöds inte.” (= The file format is not supported.) And my smartphone says ”Du har inte rätt att öppna den här boken. Kontrollera ditt Adobe ID.” (= You are not allowed to open this book. Check your Adobe ID,)
I have been able to read the ebooks earlier but some months ago (or earlier, I don´t know exactly) this happened. I have a valid Adobe ID and have bought and downloaded the books from big and established book shops.
Do somebody know what has happened? And what I can do, to be able to read the books?

Same issue. I looked through the forums, contacted customer service both online and by phone. Support just refers me to the forums or to the other method of contacting customer support. This seems like such a basic issue, too.

As far as I know, for Enterprise E1 plan, subscribers can only add Office 365 Message Encryption on a per-user basis by purchasing Windows Azure Rights Management. You might want to have a check and see if you've added this for E1 users.

AIDocumentSuite::GetDocumentFileSpecification() should get you that information. Note that it will only work properly if you've already saved the document (or opened it from a file). I'm not sure what the result looks like if you're calling that on a new, unsaved file.

when we go to vkm4 there we click on the reassign button and save then the status is changed in VBUK table....

Without "unlocking" the phone you must activate it to use it for ANYTHING.
If you have no intention of using it as a phone, get a Touch.

To retrieve the PRT document (a PDF file) and insert the doc in PM order

Hello guys,
I have a challenging task in from printing as follows,
By using TC: IW3D we get print preview of PM Order Set (PM Print Program: YIPRJT01), currently the PRT document number prints in the PM Order. Now we have to insert the PRT documents (a PDF file) into the PM Order set rather than printing the PRT document number ( By using TC: IW33 by going OPERTIONAL TAB we will get the PRT document(a PDF file))
The requirement is to retrieve the PRT document (a PDF file) and insert the document in PM order set with out navigating separately by using the TC: IW33.
If you run the script in the print preview we can able to see PM the order set along with the PRT document (a PDF file).

I'm also trying to print PRT document with shop papers and still not able to do so. I selected "P" for print on the control key and it should print but still didn't print.
If I understand it right, I think you are trying to do the same.

Same billing line created twice in the billing document ?

Hi All,
Can the same billing schema step (billing line) executed twice in the billing document ?
There isnt any price change or other changes in the billing period. Still two same billing lines are being created in the billing document.
Does any one have any idea regarding this issue?

Hi,
The reason of the writing of the duplicate info lines can be "info lines". By generating of the info lines in the billing documents, for example using variant QUANTI01 you can switch on the writing of the info lines. In this case in the one line of the schema you will get two lines, first with the quantity and second with the valuation of this quantity. These lines are duplicated from the point of the schema step.

Node doesn't belong to the current document and Invalid UTF8 encoding errors

I'm creating a XSQL page that calls a PL/SQL procedure:

When I run the page I get:
Node doesn't belong to the current document.
if I use "<include-xml>" I get the following error:

<message>Invalid UTF8 encoding.</message>
</xsql-error>
</page>
The XML page generated is well formed and it sends "test/xml; charset="ISO-8859-1" myme type. I test it in IE and it runs fine. I wrote a simple procedure that generates a simple one tag XML file and I still get the same errors.

We've tried using the encoding attribute (encoding="ISO-8859-1") but it generates the same errors. We're using XSQL that comes with 9iAS 1.0.2.2.2a. We also tried with XSQL that comes with Oracle 9.2.0. It seems that the parser is not detecting if the XML document has a different encoding than UTF8.
