Is the VU meter thingy in iTunes 11 gone? I can't find where it enable it again.

I can't find the spectrum analyzer either and I really need it. So much other stuff was crammed into the play rectangle – but Apple shed a most important spectrum analyzer for people who are wanting to know how loud the song was mastered, including the progression of dynamics and the balance of frequencies within the song.

Our show is about Fantasy Football. If you search the iTunes store for Fantasy Football, you'll see that our popularity "meter" is pretty strong but why is the "relevance" meter so low? How do we get that higher? What does it mean?

Well, it's probably a bunch of Apple voodoo that calculates those high scores, but...
Do you have any keywords listed in the channel info and item info sections of your RSS feed? If not, start there.
Next, you might want to expand the text for the show description. Make it longer than 6 words, and try to fit "fantasy football" in there a few times (it's only in there once right now). Maybe mention who the hosts are, and why people should care about them.
I don't know if it really matters, but it may help to fit "fantasy football" in each of the episode desriptions. Think of this as optimizing your website so that search engines will hit on certain keywords.

When Downloading iTunes - the "box" installer thingy doesn't download.

Last night, I ran a bunch of updates, including I Tunes. Today when I went to get into Itunes it said it wasn't installed correctly or was corrupted.
I have now tried to download Itunes from the apple site five times, each time I get an image of what looks like a travel drive (.dmg) and a sheet of paper - but when I open them up there is never the image of the box in them. When I click on the image that SHOULD be the box, it tells me the application to open this file is not present.
Any suggestions? I'd REALLY like to get iTunes working again. Thanks.

I followed advice in another thread and completely uninstalled iTunes and restarted my MacBook. I try and download the iTunes 9 and I dont get anything! I get to the "Thank You for downloading iTunes 9" page but nothing downloads to my mac

I am trying to update iTunes but get this box message comes up, "Network error occurred while attempting to read from the file: c:/windows/installer/itunes.msi" I have be told to uninstall all iTunes then reinstall, if I do this will I lose my Library

I have tryed to update my iPhone firmware as they said there is a new update firmware, it would not install this and put my phone into recovery mode and I had to use iPhone recovery fix to get it out of recovery mode, my iPhone did a back-up before it tried to update the firmware.

Trying to update to iTunes 10.4.1 and I get a message "A network error occured while attempting to read from the file C:|Windows|Installer|iTunes.msi" Running WIndows 7 with all updates done. I have never had an issue with iTunes updating before. Anyo

iTunes has tried to update itself and runs into an error and tells me to manually install. When I d/l and run the iTunesSetup.exe file I always encounter the following error message...

PLEASE APPLE, GIVE US SYNCING VIA ITUNES BACK!!!!!! Why take away one of the most valuable features of iTunes???? Why take away our choice of syncing via the Cloud or locally with iTunes????

DO NOT UPGRADE TO MAVERICK UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE DEPENDED ON APPLE’S CLOUD. It removes the ability to sync Calendar, Notepad, and Contacts between your apple devices. You then can only sync them via Apple’s Cloud. For those of you like me, that do not want to be depended on an external data base accessible via the Internet or Cel Phone (with data charges).
Why do I not want to use the Cloud to sync and backup?
1. I found I only have one device with me at a time or am sitting at a computer when I add to my calendar, make a note, or add/change a Contact. Syncing with iTunes while upgrading apps and doing a back up to two external hard drives worked great and met my needs.
2. I use WiFi and pay for the minimum data plan with my Cel provider (AT&T). I do not want to pay higher monthly data fees.
3. I do not like a central data base (that will be hacked someday) having the personal info I have in my Notes, Schedule, and Contacts.
4. I like the security of my most important data being on my own hard drives and written off to Data DVD’s, not subject to even rare central system outages/failures.
5. I do not like the prospect of becoming dependent on a Cloud in which the provider could decide at any time to either start selling information or charging monthly fees to recover the costs of providing the cloud.
I am reluctant to go to the trouble to go back to 10.8 because Apple will eventual stop providing updates to 10.8 and 10.8 compatible applications.

Cannot upgrade iTunes because cannot uninstall itunes 9.0.2.25. Error: The installation source for this product is unavailable. The file c:/... itunes.msi is not a valid installation package for itunes.

I also get the error. "Cannot uninstall the older version of iTunes. Contact your technical support group."
How do I download the itunes.msi for iTunes 9.0.2.25 so that I can remove this phantom and unfunctioning program and then hopefully upgrade to the latest version of iTunes 10.5?

When I change my meta data in iTunes why does it not get displayed in Sonos or MediaMonkey

Hello,
I noticed that when I change the meta data in iTunes for example by right clicking an album -> get info and than change the Genre of the album and than click OK . It takes the changes in iTunes but I have a Sonos System and when I update my music library the changes are not being displayed . When I now put the album in MediaMonkey I also can not see the genre change . This used to work back in the days .
Did iTunes change anything in regards to handling and saving meta data ? iTunes does not seem to save the information in the file anymore ?

I solved my problem. Here's how:
1. Right click iTunes and click properties from the "Windows 8 Desktop" (or if you want to call it the 7 desktop thats fine too)
2. Select the compatibility tab.
3. Set compatibility mode to Windows 7 and click apply.
4. Open iTunes, sign into iTunes store, Turn on iTunes Match, Add your computer.
5. Close Program
6. Restart Computer

unless i'm missing something, i think you got mixed up, this is easy google for walk throughs
i'm assuming this is the new 3tb tc AC or 'tower' shape, if so, its wifi will run circles around your at&t device
unplug the at&t box for a minute and plug it back in
factory reset your tc - unplug it, hold down reset and keep holding while you plug it back in - only release reset when amber light flashes in 10-20s
connect the tc to your at&t box via eth in the wan port, wait 1 minute, open airport utility look in 'other wifi devices' to setup the tc
create a new wifi network (give it a different name than your at&t one) and put the tc in bridge mode (it may do this automatically for you, but you should double check) under the 'network' tab
login to your at&t router and disable wifi on it
add new clients to the new wifi network, and point your Macs to the time machine for backups

CREATE A NEW USER
Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Users & Groups
Decide on whether to setup as Admin or Standard User.
Switch to the New User by logging out under the Apple in the Menu Bar or use Fast User Switching
Fast User Switching allows other users to leave current applications and windows open. Depending on RAM, you might need to log out rather than use FUS.
