is there a noticable difference between 2.3ghz, 2.6ghz and 2.7ghz and is it worth the upgrade to a higher amout of ghz

going from 2.3GHz to 2.7GHz you might notice the difference.....
but going from 2.6GHz to 2.7GHz, don't even waste your money....
if you'll be using it for everyday use, then 2.3GHz will do just fine....
however, if there's photoshop and some video editing happening, then 2.6GHz would be better suited for you....
or, go with the 2.3GHz base model then upgrade it to 16GB of RAM and add a SSD to get the best price - performance ratio...
good luck...

Is there a big difference between Intel Iris Pro graphics and the NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M graphics processor with 1GB of GDDR5 memory, is it worth paying an extra $200?

Software support of graphics card is key.   If no graphics card is mentioned in software specs, then it can be ignored.  Mostly games and high end image and video graphics software are affected.

  • 2.6 GHz i7 vs. 2.8 GHz i7...Is there a noticable difference?

    Hello,
I just purchased a refurbished MBP through the Apple store with a 2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor (Turbo Boost up to 3.8GHz). I chose a refurbished model because I wanted to save money and I was able to get a 1TB hard drive for a great price. However, it is a late 2013 model and a new (not refurbished) mid 2014 model MBP with a 2.8GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7 processor (Turbo Boost up to 4.0GHz) would have cost me only about $70 more. This would have only a 512GB hard drive; otherwise all internals are the same.
I need a fast computer that can support many processes at once for work but I also need hard drive space.
Did I make the right decision? Would there have been a noticable difference between these two processors? Is there any significant difference / benefit to the mid 2014 model compared to the late 2013 model?
    Thanks for your input.
    Holly

The good news about refurbished models, is they may support more Mac OS X versions than brand new Macs.
And no, very rarely is there a noticeable difference.  Pretty much all Macs from 2010 and later have similar processors.
More RAM, and SSDs may offer better speed, but SSDs offer a security pitfall which I'm uncertain if they have been resolved.
The normal erase software does not completely wipe clean the SSD.    Thus before selling it to someone else, you don't want them to have access to the drive you put in, if you get an SSD.  All the more reason you should have a good LapCop, Findmymac, or Lojack program installed on your Mac in case it is lost or stolen.
https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6413 will help you ascertain the age of the mac, and if it is a prior release with more operating systems available to it.  The Mac operating system on Macs released on or after:
October 22, 2013 only run 10.9 or later.
    June 25, 2012 10.8 or later.
    July 20, 2011 10.7 or later.
    August 28, 2009 10.6 or later.
Older Macs may not run 10.8 or later based on http://www.apple.com/osx/specs/

    Hi
I have the 2.0ghz macbook, £699 from PCworld.co.uk and I've just spotted the 2.1ghz, white, priced at £789: I'm buying a macbook for my nephew so it would be good toknow which is better...

Is there a huge difference between these two computers?
I am a complete newbie to macs (although a complete convert as they rock!) but I'm really confused as mine says it's a 2.1 but the specs are for a 2.0. Am I just reading this wrong? I've copy/pasted this from my computer:
    Hardware Overview:
    Model Name: Mac
    Model Identifier: MacBook2,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor Speed: 2 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB
    Memory: 1 GB
    Bus Speed: 667 MHz
    Boot ROM Version: MB21.00A5.B06
    SMC Version: 1.17f0
    Serial Number: W8734HN5Z5V
    Sudden Motion Sensor:
    State: Enabled
It says it's a macbook 2.1 but it has only a 2.0ghz processer, I am completely confused...
It's only another £90 so would it be worthwhile paying a little bit extra? Is the £789 macbook a better computer, will it last longer, perform better over time?
Lots of uestions, sorry for being a newbie, any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Karen

    Hey Karen -
I think that you misunderstood my comment. I was merely referring to the statement from your Hardware Overview that mentioned the fact that you indeed had a 2.0 MacBook to clarify the confusion that you had in reading your specs.
The processor speed is not an upgradable item. You would need to get a new MacBook in order to increase you processor speed.
The RAM (you have 1GB) and your Hard Drive (unknown size) are the only upgrades that can be made to your MacBook.
Don't waste your time with Mac for Dummies....instead, if you are famiar with using MS Windows, go here: http://www.apple.com/support/switch101/
    Hope this helps.

  • Is there is any difference between iPhone4 made for Ukraine and for India?

I would like to know about the hardware / software difference between iPhone4 made for Ukraine and for India.
I purchased my iPhone4 in Ukraine and now I'm in India, and here due to restart problem I visit to a local delear/shopkeeper and he replaced some parts of my device with damaged one (crack screen, etc etc) and told me that it is a scrap and need another iPhone4 to replace some parts of it. Now this cell is totally brick, I can't check the EMEI of that device {because now its not booting} and he didn't accept that he replace some/all parts of my device.
So, I want to know that is there is any way to locate these parts?

Apple does not sell iPhone parts. You no longer have an iPhone. You have an unsupportable frankenphone.
Go back to whoever opened it up and attempted to repair it. Your phone is not supportable here.

  • Is there a noticable difference between G5 and Intel Core 2 Duo-processor?

    Just wondering...
I have a G5 iMac and came across the Intel Core 2 Duo-processor 24" 2.66GHz. Will I notice a big difference between these 2 models?
    André

    I swapped from a G5 2.1MHz iSight with 2.5GB RAM to 2009 iMac 24" 2.66 MHz with 4GB of DDR3.
    The difference was HUGE.
Now with Snow Leopard as well things have only got faster (or appear to at least)
The whole system is more responsive, less spinning beach ball and rendering a 40 minute TV programme to MP4 only takes about 2 minutes!
I used to have time to make a cup of coffee and catch the news headlines!
    Enjoy the new machine.

  • Hey guys, I was wondering ... is there a big difference between the 16 gig ram and the 8 gig for the retina series?? hardest thing I do on a laptop is play need for speed on 1080p resolution.... thanks

hey guys I was wondering ... will there be a big difference between the 8 gig and 16 gig versions of the pro retina series??? the hardest thing i do is play need for speed and program using c++...thanks

That RAM is soldered in. No sockets. No upgrading later.
    Your question is:
¿Will I EVER need the 16GB in the time I expect to own this MacBook?
--NO, save $200 and if you ever run short, sell the machine and buy a different one.
--ELSE, spend the extra US$200 and don't think about it again.

since upgrading to a domain network itunes has asked to be re authorised, this also happens when upgarding from windows 8 to 8.1. my next de-authorise all is In January, but i cant wait that long what can i do

If a computer's taking up multiple authorizations, try deauthorizing it even if it says it's not authorized. If that doesn't work, go back to the article you asked this question from and use the link to contact Apple under the 'To deauthorize all computers associated with your Apple ID' section of it.

  • Are there any technical Differences between stanard R3 and ISU

    Hello everyone,
I have recently been speaking to a client who is running ISU.  They are asking for assistance with thier landscape from a technical perspective (BASIS and DB).  i.e. monitoring db growth, reorgs, etc.
Now, I have been working in BASIS for over 10 years now, and am very comfortable with the above rols.  My question however is -  are there any "technical" differences between the standard SAP system, and ISU?  or are the differences mainly seen on the functional side?
Thank you very much for any insight any of you can provide.
    Kind regards
    Richard Rog

    Hi Richard,
I have been a Basis administrator for IS-U/CCS systems for 7 years.  The points Juris made are correct.
There are no new transactions or procedures for maintaining and monitoring an ISU system.  ISU "sits" on top of R/3.  The main ISU transaction for customer contact CIC0 has an HTML component that needs an ITS server.  In a 4.6C system you will need to maintain an external ITS.  In ECC 6.0 you will have an integrated ITS.  The main difference from a Basis perspective is support pack application.
In 4.6C ISU is an add-in installed in SAINT.  There are conflict resolution support packages (CRT's) that are installed at the same time the SAP_APPL support packages are applied.  In fact SPAM recognizes the ISU add-in and won't let you upgrade APPL (and sometimes Basis) support packs without the CRT's.
In ECC 6.0 IS-U isn't an add-in any more and has it's own support packs in module IS-UT.  IS-U must be turned on though during an installation or upgrade.  This is done in SPRO with "Activate Business Funcitons".

  • Difference in supplier invoice Excise duty and po duty

Request your guidance for the below scenario. ie when we put a PO for vendor we will fix a tax code in po with ed cess and local tax.entire postings for tax is based on this tax code.now if the excise value in vendor invoice may differ from our PO tax value in some cases and we may enter the exact tax value while dong migo-excise tab in case of Excisable plant. In miro the modified tax amount captures and in Purchase register the amount gets posted. but in case of non excisable plant how this is possible? in our case there is a difference between tax amt in invoice and register.Duty is anyway cost but need to have a track in purchase register.Pl suggest a solution..
    Thanks very much.

    hi,
create a PO with zero tax code. such that base amount is equal to the inclusive of all excise duties.
IN migo select the capture and post excise option, in the excise tab, activate the mrp indicator .
change the base value in the migo and manually enter the excise duties in migo, capture it and then post
create MIRO with reference to the PO and give the taxcode as V1(ED-8%CESS-2%HECESS-1%)instead of VO(ZERO TAX CODE)

  • Difference between N9600GT-T2D512-OC V801 and V127?

      Hello, everybody!
Is there someone who know what is the difference between this two models (except color).
    http://asia.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=proddesc&maincat_no=130&cat2_no=&cat3_no=&prod_no=1406

The Green one is nVidia's reference design and the red one is MSI's. There is no difference between the two concerning functionality and performance.  The MSI one, besides the red PCB, probably has different RAM chips and the fan is different. It appears the V127 has a larger fan and may be quieter than the refernce version with the reference cooler.

  • Is there any bapi returns dynamic value of reorder point and safety stock

    Hi all,
Is there any bapi returns the runtime value of ROP and SS by passing changenr/objectid taken from CDPOS.
if exists please send me with code.
    Thanks
    PRR R

    hi,
As far as i know is static means manual entry of reorder point.
The dynamic or automatic reorder point is used for Forecast based planning...
the sysstem wii automatically calculate the reoder point evrytime there is the forecast run.
So, it dependig on ur scenario , select either manual or automatic.
First entry for both is always manual entry....
    hope u got this..

  • Is there a noticeable difference between a 1.83 and 2.00 GHz processor?

I am new to apple, and this will be my first Apple laptop computer. I am looking for a laptop that is powerful enough to run programs such as Adobe Photoshop (no more than one photo at a time) and other basic programs such as Microsoft Office. I will be doing no video or gaming. Can you tell me if there is a reason to upgrade from the 1.83GHZ to the 2.00 GHz processor? Thank you.

You are only looking at a difference of 170Mhz. As far as I know the processors are the same except for clock speed. I do not think that you will notice any difference in the two processors for smaller jobs like applying a filter in Photoshop or running a spell check in Office. The 2Ghz will edge ahead for longer term tasks such as editing and compressing video. If something takes 1 hour to compress into "quicktime" (IE. h.264) you may see the 2Ghz MB finish 10 minutes sooner.
Bottom line, from what you are describing, I do not think you will do anything that will be too terribly intensive to notice the difference in speed now. But I always advise to people to buy as FAST as they can afford. Your computer will stay faster for longer. In a few years that extra little bit of speed can come in handy as programs continue to becomes more complex. Somthing intaresting about your situation right now is that Both Office and Photoshop are not Intel native for the Mac, so they will need to be emulated by Rosetta. While it is supposed to be seemless, rosetta is emulated so it is slower. You will get a noticable boost in speed if you upgrade to the native (or Universal) version of these programs when they are made available.
OK, I have blabbed on enough. Hope this helps shed some light on things. (Personally I would go with the 2Ghz.)
