Difference in supplier invoice Excise duty and po duty
Request your guidance for the below scenario. ie when we put a PO for vendor we will fix a tax code in po with ed cess and local tax.entire postings for tax is based on this tax code.now if the excise value in vendor invoice may differ from our PO tax value in some cases and we may enter the exact tax value while dong migo-excise tab in case of Excisable plant. In miro the modified tax amount captures and in Purchase register the amount gets posted. but in case of non excisable plant how this is possible? in our case there is a difference between tax amt in invoice and register.Duty is anyway cost but need to have a track in purchase register.Pl suggest a solution..
Thanks very much.
hi,
create a PO with zero tax code. such that base amount is equal to the inclusive of all excise duties.
IN migo select the capture and post excise option, in the excise tab, activate the mrp indicator .
change the base value in the migo and manually enter the excise duties in migo, capture it and then post
create MIRO with reference to the PO and give the taxcode as V1(ED-8%CESS-2%HECESS-1%)instead of VO(ZERO TAX CODE)

In dealer Invoice , Excise duty values not captured from MIGO
In dealer invoice , I have changed excise duty values in MIGO . This is not captured in MIRO. But the system took excise value from default values ( from FV11 condition record ) . This is happening for New plants. Old plants works good.

Dealer invoice excise duty..?
Hi all
Can anybody explain me about , wht is dealer invoice with excise duty.
How it wil difffer from other invoice ..
What are the other excise invoices are there while purchasing ..?
Thanks
sap-mmHI
To breif you, Dealer's are not suppose to avail the CENVAT credit they have paid to vendor of the goods at the time of purchase, reason behind is unless and untill you are doing any value addition in the production process or using the goods in your production process you are not eligible to take to CENVAT credit of the duties paid (As per Excise Law).
Now comig back to your question, since the delear is not taking any CENVAt credit therefor he will pass on the duties to us using the delear invoice which will include the name of vendor who has sold the goods to him and the duty amount which the vedor had charged to the Dealer. So the whole scenario is to pass the duty charged by the original vendor to delaer and then to us.
Please Note: This duty will not change even if the Dealer will add his margin (Gains) on the rate of the goods.
Hope it clears your doubt...
The other form of invoices are Vendor invoice which we get direct from vendor in procument cycle.

YOu have to login to the Physical box in which XI is installed (Take Basis Help.
In one of the drives, you will find a folder called seeburger.
Inside that folder, you can browse to find the XSD structure for your 810 .
YOu will find different XSDs for different versions of 810.
Suppose your EDI 810 version is 4010, then you have to use the XSD for 810 4010 version (There will be separate folders for each transaction set/version combination.
It will be there also in the software CD that seeburger provides when you buy it.

No need of split 997 in outbound case. In this case, you will send the 810 and the partner will send the 997.
So, to receive that 997 file, you need another scenario. You need the split 997 communication channel only in inbound case like in 850, but not in outbound case.
> Last point -- is Dispatch advice direction is like 850 (Inbound ) or its direction is like 810 (outbound)?
> Do we have IDOC or something like that present and its mapping ?

like I said earlier, it is an outbound document if your company is the vendor.
It will be inbound if your company is the Customer to some other company.
The IDOC that is used usually will be DESADV idoc.

Difference between deleting invoice blocking reason and releasing blocked i
Hi - in mrbr we have two options - one is to delete a blocking reason and the other is to release the invoice.
It appears that it is possible to delete the blocking reason and this releases the invoice for payment.
It is also possibel to releease the invoice without deleting the blocking reason and this has the same effect.
Why do both things appear to do the same?Hi,
The both cases differ in approach, we use delete blocking reason if there is any block existing for the Invoice and after that if the system finds no other block on Invoice header ten the Invoice is automatically released, however if we go for direct release then only those Invoices are released which had blocking reasons but some business transactions have nullified the block already. -

Difference between Invoice cancellation document and credit note document
Hello,
Can anybody highlight the differences between an invoice cancellation document and a credit note document (may be point by point).
I want to know their difference in SAP point of view.
Thanks,
ShankarHi,
Invoice Cancellation Document (VF11)
This is basically cancelling-out an existing Invoice, completely.
Whereas, Credit Note is basically setling down some part payment, which isn't being made or billed in excess to actual invoice amount.
Example:
Customer was supposed to be billed with Rs. 100 and got billed with Rs. 110. the payment recieved from customer is Rs. 100. to settle-down oustanding of Rs. 10, one need to create a credit note of Rs. 10 on customer-account.

Excise Duty/Tax - CIN Doubts - Suggestions Please
Hi,
Please give solutions for this...
1. Service Tax payment or credit is required in three types ( i.e BAS, TIC, GTA). Where as in SAP it is in single type.
2. How SAP will address the entries for ineligible credit on Service Tax, Vat and Excise Duty?
3. In Excise there are two invoices (i.e Commercial Invoice and Excise Invoice). In some cases, Commercial invoice is in one name and Excise invoice is in another name. The accounting of such type of invoices are not addressed.
4. Commercial invoice Received in single invoice where as the corresponding excise invoices are more than one bill. How this will be addressed?
5. In case of Dealer invoice Excise duty may not be 10.3%. It will vary. This also to be taken in to consideration.
6. Duty amount should be rounded off
7. In case of any shortage of materials or price difference how the debit note are to be generated?
With Regards
AnbuI would like to correct that BED is not always 16% and depends on the chapter
For education cess and higher education cess the rate depends on whether the product was manufacture after certain cut-off dates
for higher education cess this cutoff is 1st march 2007

Supplier Invoice with Items without Purchasing
Hi
We would like to know if we want to import supplier invoices with items and there is no Purchasing module.
How items would be validated. Can this be done through item validation org and if yes, what setups are required and in which module.
Regards,
IshFrom above cases, first 3 cases is ok and i know how to process with all CIN related things. But i am little confused in the 4th case.
Whether we need to mention the tax code in PO?
1. If no, whether we need to add up the tax amount to the material basic price and then raise the PO?
2. If yes, how the tax amount postings will be done since we will not be posting the excise invoice in j1iex?
I think u will require the tax code where the excise duty is captured in inventories like JMIP condition types of excise so that it would get added to stock during GR and during invoice u will pay this tax to the vendor.
As u donot take credit u don't have to capture the excise invoice as . -

Excise Duty (IS-OIL) - Invoice verification and accounting ED
Hello experts,
I have a case in my importation process with excise duty (IS-OIL). I have the following scenario: Purchasing Ed free material and receive it in ED paid Storage Location. So I use Handling type 00 and Valuation type TAX in the PO excise duty item data. I woul like to kwon Which is the standard process for the invoice verification of the excise duty cost when the handling type is 00 and the valuation type TAX?. And How can I do the invoice verification (MIRO) if there is not a specific line in the purchase order history for the excise duty cost?
I have another case in the accounting of movement type 301 (transfer posting between 2 plants). The accounting posting is the following:
Examle:
Account Transaction
1. STOCK FUEL S BSX (Stock account)
2. STOCK FUEL H BSX (Stock account)
3. STOCK EXCISE DUTY S SVO (ED Account)
4. EXCISE DUTY FUEL H ZZP (ED Account)
The problem is that the 4th account must be STOCK EXCISE DUTY ACCOUNT from SVO transaction.
I would be grateful if someone could help me with these cases.
Thank in advance.
PabloDear Prashant,
Thanks for reply, but i checked my excise cond types, in all conditions, cond cat is blank & cond class 'A' is maintained i.e. Discount & Surcharge.
My problem is that, my excise value is not got posted in net receivable value in accounts. This problem arise, when we make sales order, Net Value field doesn't pick excise there & while invoicing, it post only the base value & rounding off adjustments at header level. I don't know, from where this Net Value field in sales order is picking the value but my problem will solve if my grand total value(base valueexciseedu cess+higher edu cess) will pass to Net Value field while making sales order. Kindly help. -
Difference between Additional Excise duty and Additional Duty on imports
Dear All,
I want to know the difference between additional excise duty on domestic procurement and additional duty on imported material, mainly in context of the credit availing. How much credit we can avail if we procure a capital material (domestic and imported).
Regards,
AshishDear,
Excise duty is a duty on production or manufacture of goods, It is levied on manufacture of goods and the liability to pay excise duty arises immediately on manufacture or production of goods.
Additional duty is levied as per custom tarff act and is equal to excise duty levied on a LIKE product manufactured or produced in India.
Sometimes, foreign sellers abroad may export to India goods at below the amounts charged by them in their domestic markets in order to capture Indian markets to the detriment of Indian Industry.

Difference between Excise duty on Setoff and Excise duty on Inventory
Hi,
What is the difference between Excise duty for Setoff and Excise duty for Inventory?
regards,
sathyahi Sathya
Excise duty on set off means the values goes to a particular G/L and take the credit of it whie selling the material. Excise duty on inventory means your value will get loaded to your inventory. In case of duties on set off, you define your own account keys against condition type in tax procedure and G/L is assigned to this Acc key on OBYC/OB40. and in case of duty on inventory, standard acc key NVV is assigned and no G/L assignment is carried out in OBYC/OB40.
Reward if helpful.

Purchase order report with basic price and Excise duty values
Hi All,
Is there any standard report in SAP to get the Purchase order basic price / qty and its Excise duty values ? Since we are including Excise duties for non - codified items (w/o material master and with cost center 'K') Purchase order and the ed values are added to the cost and the requirement is to see the split up (Basic priceEdEcs+Hcs)for these Purchase orders for the vendors. If there is no std report then please let me know how to link Purchase order table with this Condition value table in query to get the desired report.
Thanks in advance
BennyHi,
there is no standert report to fullfill this requierment
you have to create this report with the help of abaer
for that which tax code you are using its importnat thing
for po table EKPO
1. A524 (Normal supply point / Material) it will return condition record number for condition type.
2. KONP (Conditions (Item)) .
3. J_1IMTCHID (Combination of Material Number and Chapter ID).
4. J_1IEXCTAX (Tax calc. - Excise tax rates
5 get the IR no. from RBKP and RSEG, and get the relevant FI doc no. and goto BSET table
for IR number to get from table apply logic for doc type RE ,you will get fi number nad in refernce field you will get invoice number + fiscal year
Map this by refernig on po for which grn and invoice happen
