WMS - check capacity = 2

Hello all:
on configuration of WMS > master data> storage type : check capacity =2? how the system work?

I've got an old note that says 'first palletisation record'. I suspect that what this means is the system checks the first record for the given material in the second Warehouse Management view.
With it activated, see if you can putaway more than the quantity defined for LE Quantity (for the given SUT) in the first record of WM2 view. If you get an error, then the above is correct.
And could you report back because I'd be interested to have it confirmed.
Cheers,
Nick
Just checked Jurgen's OSS note. The above is correct, except the SUT is not taken in to account and you should not have mixed storage as Jurgen said.

  • Check capacity on multi projects

    Hello everyone,
Currently SAP allows checking capacity for all work center for one single project in simulation mode using transaction CJV2.
I'm searching a way for checking capacity for all work center in simulation mode for several projects.
Thanks in advance for your feed back regarding this topic. I'm interesting by any solution as specific program or customizing proposals.
    Regards,
    PFE

    Hi Prasanna,
    Thanks for your input.
We dont want to define capacity check for bins as well in OMM1, because any empty bin can be used to store any material.
Example: Material A - Can be stored in Bin A - Say max capacity is 50 EA ---SUT1
Material  B - Can be stored in Bin A - Say max capacity is 75 EA ---SUT1
Material C -  Can be stored in Bin A - Say max capacity is 100 EA --SUT1
We have not assigned bin # in the material master also, hence any empty bin can be used to store any material.
Since each material varies in size & weight, hence we dont want to define the capacity in the material master.
And based on the materials,  the capacity varies for the same SUT1 ,so we cannot define it in OMM1 also.

  • How to check Capacity in area unit ?

    Hi Gurus...
I have created Resources with Warehouse+proc. unit. The capacity of the same iis to be checked in area Unit i.e sq.mtr.
I have accordingly maintained the Parameter, Formulas , for the Resource. The Capacity Category I have used is Warehouse+proc. Unit .
As an Eg -One resource that I have created is GREENHS is the resource in sandbox system for XXXX Plant.
Now whenever I try checking the capacity (Capacity Evaluation u2013 CM50/CM52), the values displayed are in Days (time unit). I want to check this values as sq mtr. (area unit).
Also it is not taking any capacity requirements in picture i.e always the Available capacity and required capacity are same, and it is not booking any capacity for the Process Orders created.
Can you please guide me as to where am I making mistake, or I have maintained some wrong settings.
    Thanks and regards,
    A S K

    Hi
    1. To display capacity in different unit of measure,  In CM50 Menu bar use the path( Settings> Value Display>Covert Unit).
    2. If the required capacity is not getting loaded in the Resource, Please check in the Capacity details whether you have mentioned the Parameters (Relevant for finite scheduling , Normal available capacity & Factory Calendar)

  • Auto Material & Capacity Availability check when releasing Production Order

    Dear Experts,
Is there any configuration in Production Planning that will automatically check material availability and capacity availability automatically when a Production Order is released?
Meaning to say, users will not need to manually click on the Check Material Availability and Check Capacity Availability button.
    Please advise.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I've solved the problem. Just maintain the config in transaction OPJK.

  • How To add a second eSata drive once first drive capacity is reached

What upgrade options are available once an eSata drive recording capacity is reached?
Once an eSata drive connected to CHS 435HDC DVR reaches recording capacity, is there a way for a second external eSata drives to be connected and used as external storage devices without loss of all data on the first eSata drive?
Currently once a second drive is connected and activated on the DVR, all playback access to ALL the data stored on the first eSata drive is lost and cannot be played back once the second drive is ejected from the DVR and the first reinstalled..
Once the first drive is reinstalled the Check Capacity option for the first drive which once showed the drive as full and at maximum capacity before it was ejected and uninstalled, now shows 0% full, and 0 hours usage hours and the drive space 100% available.
These reading are without having reformatted the drive and only selecting the "accept" option once the DVR detected the drive being reinstalled.
The Recording option still will show recorded program listing, but once a recording is selected for playback, no recorded program data appears on the screen nor none of the normal indicators displayed on screen during normal playback does not appear.
This means there is no upgrade path or option available once recording capacity is reached for an eSata extended storage drive, other than losing all 350 hours of recorded program data or deletion of files to free up capacity.
Also there is no warning that once a drive is disconnected from the DVD and another drive is activated all data recorded on the first drive is lost and cannot be played back! The data must be there nut not recognizable by the DVD program even though the data was created on the same DVR and eSata drive.
How can I safely connect a second eSata drive to the DVD and not lose all the recorded data on the first eSata drive?
Thanking you in advance for your help.

  • Setting needed for Capacity Planning.

    Hi PP Gurus,
I want to know what setting we have to do for capacity planning.
    what I know is:
    1. W/C should be set for finite scheduling.
    2. In scheduling parameters for process order tick "Generate capacity Requirement".
This both setting are made in my scenario, but it is'nt loading the work center fot that week.
    Any other setting nedded?
    Thanks, in advance.

    Dear ,
You need to have following set up at basic level frist before you perfomr the capacity requirement planning  :
1.In OPKP-Define Production Scheduling parameter -Availability check -Confirm Capacity and also Finite Scheduling chekc box ticked .
2.In OPU3/OPU5-Define Scheduling Parametesr -you should mark the following
1.Automatic Scheduling check box should be marked
2.Scheduling Log check box should be marked -generate in case there is a scheduling error due to capacity over load .
3.Scedulinga and Generate Capcity should be ticked .
3.In OPJK Imaintain check capacity with SAPSFCG013 overall profile and set indicator -1 -Release Order -by user decision if capacity is insufficient
4.Work Center - Define the capcity planner group, activate checkbox Relevant for Finite sceduling,on the capacity header define the shift timings, break timings and unit of measure,no of individual capaity, enter formula for scheduling in capacity view.
5.Routing - enter the values for the standard values. Use control key with scheduling and CRP activated .
    6. OPD0 and have the following set up  : Overall profile : SFAPSFC015 --Inside the over all profile I have the following set up
1.Selection Profile -SAPSFCS013 SFC: Order view, standard overview
    2.Control Profile : SAP___C004 : Gen Capacity Availability Check for 1.5 months
    3.Time Profile : SAP___Z006 : Gen Capacity Availability Check for 1.5 months
    4.Evalution Profile : SAPSFCA013 : Gen Capacity Availability Chek =3.0D
    5.Strategy Profile : SAPSFCVER1-Gen Capacity availability Check
    6.Period Profile : SAP___P001 -Weekly period
    7.List Profile : SAPSFCI001-Production Planing
Check all of them in place .Then you can go ahead with Capacity Req.Planning -Evalution and Leveling -CM21/CM22/CM05/CM07  etc.

  • Use of Planning Table (MF50) in Capacity Levelling with Production Order

    Hello Experts
I wish to know that is it possible to perform Capacity Levelling in planning table (tcode MF50) with respect to a Production Order ? It is known that MF50 is used in Repetitive manufacuring to do the capacity levelling with respect to Planned orders. But in our discrete manufacturing scenario we want to use planning table to the capacity levelling with respect toa Production order.
Any clue or help pertaining to this will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Jayanta

    Dear ,
MF50 is does the cacapcity leveling based on mateail -run schedule order (planned order ) where as in discrete manufacturing , when you run the MRP ,  MRP system assume Infinite Capacity  and schedule the order as per your selection in MD02(2,1,3,3,2)  and then you convert those planned order to Production order .Here you checkied the Capacity in Production Order level .
In stanadrd SAP  , it is not possible to use MF50 for discrete production order.
In discrete order or process order ,  do the caapcity leveling , there are seperate planning table available based on Over all Capacity Profile and Schedule type .This can be done  in following way :
    1.CM31-Production Order Wise -Tabular
    2.CM23-PO wise -Graphical
    3.MC88: Ruf Cut Planning
    Work Centre Wise : CM21 -Graphical , CM22-Tabular Planning Table .
Make sure the below set up before  you carry on the Capacity leveling :
    .Define time profile in OPD2.
Define the strategy profile in OPDB
Define the Overall profiles in OPD0.
In OPJK  maintained check capacity with SAPSFCG013 profile for your production order type
In OPU3 , scheduleing parametre s: Generate Capacity , Scheduling Type , Automatic Log ,Start date in Past as per your req.
In OPJU , chekc the contol tab of the scheduleing as per OPU3
In OPKP- Production scheduling paranmeters assing the overall capacity profile -SAPSFCG013  with finte scheduling tick.
    Master Data :
1.Materials Master define the Production scheduler and production scheduling profile
2.Work Center - Define the capcity planner group, activate checkbox Relevant for Finite sceduling,on the capacity header define the shift timings, break timings and unit of measure,no of individual capaity, enter formula for scheduling in capacity view.
3.Routing - enter the values for the standard values. Use control key with scheduling.
Hope this will help you .

  • Work Order Material Availability Check Customizing

    Hi,
I am currently trying to set up material availability check in the work order before saving. I am testing it by entering a material in the work order for which there is zero stock. Then clicking on ORDER > FUNCTIONS > AVAILABILITY > CHECK STOCK MATERIAL. However SAP would return 'All checked materials in order 100000317 are available' in status bar.
    My customizing is as follows:
    Define Checking Rules (SPRO):
PM     Checking rule for plant maintenance
    Define Scope of Check (OPJJ):
       Availability Check: 01 (Daily Requirements)
Checking Rule: PM (Checking rule for plant maintenance)
Availability check: 2 (Check availability during order release)
        Stocks
        Include safety stock: X
        StockIn Transfer: X
        Incl. quality insp. stock: X
        Replenishment lead time
        Check without RLT: X
        In/outward movement
        Incl. purchase orders: X
        Incl. purchase requisitions: X
        Incl. dependant reqs: X
        Include reservations: X
        Include sales reqmts: X
        Include deliveries: X
Incl. planned orders: X (check all planned o)
Incl. production orders: X (take all production)
    Define Scope of Check (OIOI):
       Plant: (Corresponds to Work Order)
Order Type: (Corresponds to Work Order)
Check material availability when saving order: X
Check rule: 02 (Corresponds to material being used)
Release Material: 3 (No release if parts are missing)
       PRT Availability: No check
       Capacity Availability: No check
I would appreciate if you could indicate if I am missing something in the customizing or if there is some sort of error. I would like SAP to display a system message on the status bar stating that this material is not available once the user enters this material.
    Regards,
    Nikolai

I'am facing the almost the same problem. Could anyone tell me:
    1. How to make material availability check work  during Work Order creation?
My requirement is Work Order can not be created when it has missing parts. I have set the config to '3' can not created when is has missing parts, but it still does not work.
I have implemented SAP Notes 1148139 on my system (SAP ECC 6 Ehp 5) also, but still does not have any effect.
I must not set the config Res./Purch Doc creation to 'immediately', because it does not fit to my user requirement. Is there anyone knows how to solve this requirement?
    2. How to make  information message/ Availability check screen appear when sparepart is missing, without clicking Availability Check button? for example: appear when clicking Save button.
    Thank you

  • CRP on Pooled Capacity

I have successfully been able to create and assign a pooled capacity to a work center. I am wondering, however, how to review requirements against that pooled capacity. (similar to CM50 with work centers) Is there a way to review pooled capacity requirements which are loaded from multiple work centers, or must you review a specific work center and then check capacity by the capacity category? Any help would be much appreciated. thanks

    Hi,
you'll check with the transaction CM03-POOL, CM25-CAPACITY LEVELING and CM25-CAPACITY EVAULATION.
your problem will match & resolve your problem to these tcodes.

  • Zero Capacity Consumption

    Hi experts,
I am preparing a prototye for my customer. It is an end-to-end (forecast-SNP-PPDS).
    What I have done yet:
    - Calculated forecast
    -  run SNP heueristic for multi level planning.  --> SNP production order are created
The issue I am currently facing now is: I created a lot of SNP planned orders in production plant but capacity consumption is still zero. Any idea what else I should do?
    Thanks
    Aban

    Hi Handha,
    Thanks for reply.
    What I did:
    - I put big amount of quantities on certain periods to generate capacity overlaod.
    - I run heueristic by using SNP view SNP94(1)
    - After I started SNP94(2) to check capacity situation.
What I am wondering at is: there is no capacity consumption in an of the resouces which are used for this product in a specific location (production plant for this product).
For your info: PDS has been transfered and capacity are flagged as Multi Mix in ECC system
    Thank you for your support

  • Capacity Leveling in SNP SCM 5.0

    Hi,
I want to use the SNP heuristic followed by capacity leveling in order to enable my customer to check capacity requirements in terms of machine and people resources. The particular requirements are:
    1. no backward/forward capacity leveling
    2. level the capacity across alternate resources
I don't see how I can do 2 without doing 1. I haven't seen a parameter about the number of days allowed in backward/forward leveling (which I would set to zero or to a low number e.g. 2 days)
    Best Regards,
    JL

I dont think you should be using the standard capacity levelling functionality at all if you are not going to level it forward or backward
What you need to think of is planning using Aggregated resources.
In a nutshell you creatae new header resources that are of capacity equivalent to your resources plus alternate resources
Do SNP plannign on the aggregated ( header )resource
Level or trim any excess capacity requirements (levelling wouldve done this for you but you got to specify the direction)
Disaggregate to the member resources based on some disaggregation rules (or you can customize this)

  • Capacity Leveling vs. Plant Maintenance

What is the difference between Capacity Leveling Planning Tables (CM21, 22, 27,28,31,23) and Plant Maintenance Planning Tables (CM33, 34, 30, 24)?
In what type of scenario would I want to use either one?  What would the end result of utilizing these tables be?

    Hi
Mark the control key for generating capacity requirement.
Give the formula SAP008 in Work Center Capacity Tab.
Use CM01 to check Capacity Planning
    Use CM22 for Capcity Levelling.

  • Operation priority scheduling as per capacity utilization.

    Hi friends
Our client wants  to set operation wise priority. In our case there is only one operation  in that worcenter.
Routing master data is set like that. we had given overlapping-. continous prodction and Minahead qty 1 PC.
Iif there are  more  production orders using  same workcenter, now he want set capacity utilisation like this.
                                WC1             WC2           WC3
    Order A               40%                                 50%
    Order B               30%              40%
    Order C               40%              60%            50%
After this system has to schedule the orders/operations  accordingly ..
This is for schedulig Planning purpose as per the demand.
we are using MTS and in MRP lead time scheduling.
    One more thing
If there are three orders starting on same date  using same workcenter
when we are checking the orders system has scheduled for three orders -operations staring on same time
    Order A Operation 0010 WC1- start 7:00 hrs
    Order B Operation 0010 WC1 start 7:00 hrs
    Order C Operation 0010 WC1 start 7:00 hrs
If i am checking capacity icon system has given available capacity for this workcenter
How come all orders start at same time even capacities are available.
    Regards,
    srihari.M

    Srihari,
How come all orders start at same time even capacities are available.
You have only mentioned MRP.  MRP is not intended to schedule orders according to capacity, it only plans for making materials available at the required times.  In order to plan for capacity consumption, you need to carry out capacity planning.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/8a/a590c14adc11d189740000e8322d00/frameset.htm
To answer your question, it is sometimes desirable to have many orders start at the same time in a specific work center, even after capacity planning has been done.  This is dependent upon the client's business requirements and the structure of his manufacturing operations.
If you have never implemented capacity management before, I suggest that you speak to a senior PP consultant on your team, who should be able to show you how to get basic CRP set up and running.
    Best Regards,

  • Capacity calculation in PM module

    Dear all gurus,
Inspite maintaining settings in workcenter, shifts and controlkey , when i make order <b>PM01</b> type and try to check capacity it is giving message
<b>No reqmts/caps exists or not relevant to finite scheduling.</b>
Along with this alarm what ever help message settings mentioned I have maintained still the message is coming and when I click OK it says
    <b>All capacities are available.</b>
Inspite of that I could not find load on work center in <b>CM01</b> T-code
    Kindly help me.

    Nandipati,
What is the workcenter category you have used? Looks like here is the problem.. generally formulas for PM will have to be assigned in Other forumla as rightly pointed out by Thyagaraj.
Also you need to check the scheduling parameters for PM order, there also you need to activate check box for Generate Capacity Requirements for the order type/plant combination. I dont remember the transaction also will not be able to say as I dont have access to system now.

  • Capacity hierarchy

    Hi ,
    I created a work center hierarchy : Sector001
    Sector001 include work center A and B
when i use CM01 and enter "sector01" to check total capacity requirement , it is working fine.
But i check capacity req by individually (for example : A or B) , I can't see any capacity req
So is that still possiable to check capacity req by individually ?
    Thanks

enter work center hierarchy works and i can see capacity requirment,
enter work center individually also works but i can't see capacity requirment.
    Thanks
