Is there a restriction on moving the position of an image on A5 size paper?

I would like to print an image in the top half of an A5 sized sheet, to fold to print a card. While I seem to be able to do this with A4 paper I cannot do so when A5 is chosen - the image remains in the centre. As I am new to Paintshop Elements and currently taking advantage of the free trial I may have missed something. My OS is Windows 7, the printer is a Canon Pixma MG5350. Thanks for any help.

Cloning or reversing parts of images is generally not possible in aperture. To do that you need a photo editor such as Photoshop, Photoshop Elements or Gimp.

I have a flash file that slides the position of a movieclip to 4 different positions with 4 buttons which works great.  I also want to add 2 buttons that when you roll over them, I would like the position of the movie clip to keep sliding to the left and right until you roll off of the button(and stop when it gets to either end of the movieclip.  The code below slides the movie clip when you click them...if that helps.

no worries.....I really like the way my file works now.  i have another file with really nice easing to it that contains the code below. what I'm trying to figure out is if I can add that easing into the file you helped me with or would it be easier to modify the code below into a horizontal scroller like I need.
either way, i'm looking for suggestions on a starting point so I can work on getting this figured out.

  • How to adjust the position of an image in a full screen slideshow

Hi I'am using a full screen slideshow composition on my page and muse is not letting me adjust the position of the image to the top, middle or bottom of the frame under the fill option when the image is selected in the slideshow.
I also find it very buggy when previewing the page in a browser, some time it re-sizes the image only larger but never scales down proportionately, only on rare occasions. Why does this happen?
Can someone please help ASAP I need to get this site done by tomorrow.
    Thanks,
    Gary

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
The effect you're looking for is 'Scale'
In Keynote '09, 5.1.1 select the graphic.
Click Inspector in the tool bar, Build Inspector (3rd icon from the left), (Build In and Build Out are both set to None for this step) Effect, Action, and then Scale.
It rescales ('zooms') the selected item (image) up or down from 0% to 200%
Clicking on the More Options button at the bottom opens a drawer to the left, and gives you more control over how the build occurs, whether they happen automatically, timed, or when you click, and re-order build steps.
At 200%, double the original size, resolution could be a problem. There is a workaround, because it also scales smaller, down to 0%. So I would scale the graphic down 'small' as the first step to fit at the bottom, (even hide it behind a background-colored box) as you scale it down, and then at the end, scale up to full size to fill the screen at 'normal' resolution.
In the attached example, I use a 'scale' up to go from 100% to 130% on a map, and use arrows and a flashing line to point out the road where a specific business is located with 12 steps. Some elements in my slides have been intentionally obscured. For simplicity, I've eliminated showing any steps but the initial title and the scale.

  • Is there any way to convert the ImportObject into an image file ?

Is there any way to convert the ImportObject inside the mif file into an image file ?

    Error 7103,
Regarding Note A and Note B... The Downsample dropdowns list three variations of Downsampling TO, each corresponding to a different downsampling method. When you select one of the Downsampling TO options, then the pixels per inch box allow you to specify the dpi of the downsampled image, the one after the downsampling.
When you select Off, which means do NOT downsample, then the pixels per inch box is meaningless. Maybe it would be a nice interface feature to disable it, but that is another issue. In any event, OFF ignores any value in pixels per inch.
Whenever you import an image into your publishing program (FrameMaker, InDesign, or whatever) and scale it, one can think of the scaled image as having a physical dpi, the number of pixels per physical inch on the "paper." When you specify downsampling in Distiller, the number you specify is most likely less than the physical dpi of the image in the document. It is probably meaningless to specify a number that is larger. I am guessing (and this is a guess) that Distiller does not UPsample images. I have never tested it.
I use 1200 for image recovery.
I assume you are talking about recoverying an image embedded in (copied into) the publishing document. I believe it is sufficient simply to turn downsampling off to create a PDF with the image at the resolution as embedded in the document.
No, one of the settings is to Determine Automatically, which uses the resolution of the image IN the PDF.
    Where is that found?
It is NOT in Distiller. It is in Acrobat Professional. (It may or may not be in Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Reader; I do not have them, so do not know.)
The original poster wanted to recover an image copied into a Frame document file. My method is to create a PDF using a Distiller joboption with ALL downsampling and ALL compression OFF. Presumably the image is put into the PDF with all the pixels it has in the Frame file.
THEN in Acrobat PROFESSIONAL, export the image with the setting Determine Automatically. I am presuming (never tested it) this exports ALL the pixels that the image has in the PDF file.

  • Moving the part of an image that shows through a clipping mask?

In CS5, after making a clipping mask using text to mask an image, is there a way to move the image to a new location so a different part of the image shows through the text?
    Thanks.

    web.boards,
You may select the image with the Direct Selection Tool, or through the Layers palette/panel, and move it (with the Arrow keys, by ClickDragging, with Object>Tramsform>Move, or whatever); or just ClickDrag it from the beginning.

  • Is there a way to capture the position of the scrollbar?

On this form that i am using, I am capturing where the cursor is by using temp_value := :System.Cursor_Record to find out what record it is and then when the timer expires i am asking it to go back to that captured record by
    GO_RECORD(temp_value ) which works fine.
The problem is that this a tabluar form that has a scroll bar displaying 10 records at a time. Lets say it fetches 20 records and then the user is looking at the 15th record -- and when the timer expires the focus goes to the captured record but the record shifts it's position to the first record (displays on top)
    eg
    records
    1
    2
    3
    8
13------------- This is where the user is and he sees records 3 thru 15 in that view
    15
    20
when the timer expires user see
13---the focus is here but it shifts on the top.
    15
    20

thanks works like a charm :)
what i am doing is capturing the top record and system cursor record
and when when the timer expires
first go to the top record and then go to the cursor record
    thanks a lot .

  • Dreamweaver CC fluid grid, can I change the position of DIV's based on Mobile, Tablet, Desktop view?

    Hi all,
Currently working on my first Dreamweaver CC fluid grid / responsive site. I want to optimise the pages layout for Mobile, Tablet and Desktop.
I can see that I can hide individual div elements by adding "display: none;" to the mobile media query code in the CSS.
I am wondering am I able to change the position of DIV's in relation to the order of each other some how using a similar way?
Eg I have a webpage design for desktop like.
    Title
    Nav
    Description
    Buy Button
    Photo
On mobile I'd like to be able to bring that Photo up towards the top of the layout eg.
    Title
    Nav
    Photo
    Description
    Buy Button
I was hoping those up and down arrows you see in the Dreamweaver CC interface was going to some how make the changes to each view Mobile, Tablet, Desktop, but all that is doing is moving the position of code in the HTML amoung each of the main DIV sections.
Or am I at the point where I will need to create a seperate page for mobile only to make a layout change like this?
    Any help would be great

    Hi Complexity,
I have got some further info, and if I have lead you astray I am sorry.
I don't think you can change the order of the divs in a responsive layout in DW CC.
However, you can arrange the divs to sit under or beside each other differently in each of the layouts, for pc, tablet or phone.
You can also switch divs off and on in each of the layouts, having them display in one size screen and not in another.
So what you would need to do is to create a couple of nav divs, if you want a nav at the top of one type of screen and one at the bottom. You could duplicate the content in both of them and switch one on in one layout and one off in the other.
    I hope this helps!
I am doing my first layout for a client using DW CC responsive layouts. I have done two test/hobby sites already.
It is a bit of a mission learning it but I am getting there.
I do find it interesting that most people recommend using other programs to do responsive rather than Dreamweaver's fluid grid layouts. I don't think many people are using it yet.

    Mary

  • The position of the worker, from which table can I get?

    Hi,
Whether a person with a given pernr, how can I know whether he is a manager or an employee etc.
Which table and which field of this table.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
To get the position for a person you need to go to table PA0001 table (PLANS field).
Once you get the position, to check whether that position is Manager's position
You need to go to table HRP1001 and check whether is there any entry exist for the position with relationship 'B002' (SUBTY field), if entry exists then the position is manager's position. The all the entries in SOBID fields are subordinate position to the managers position.
    Hope this helps,

  • Change the position of toolbar buttons in RoboHelp 9 (WebHelp)

    Hi,
I have been trying to create a custom skin for my webhelp output. I am able to specify the toolbar background image. However, the text in the image is being hidden by the toolbar buttons (Contents, Index, Serach, etc buttons). Is there any way to alter the position of the toolbar buttons (for example, lowering these buttons) so that the text in the image is displayed clearly?
I would be glad to know of any work-around to this problem.
    Thanks!

    Hello again
After I replied I noticed you had replied to two other threads. Really old threads. You basically asked the same question twice about how to resize images.
As you are new here you likely don't understand the "rules of the road" so to speak. So it would be helpful to you to take a few moments and read through the thread I'm linking below. We put it together to help new folks.
As for how to change those button images, you do that using another application that manipulates images. SnagIt, PhotoShop, Windows Paint, GIMP,  Paint Shop Pro, Etc.
    Cheers... Rick

  • How can I define the position of a SUD dialog in Diadem-AUTO?

In the COD dialog-editor you can define the X- and Y-position of every dialog-window. In the SUD dialog-editor these options are not available. Is there any way to specify the position of a SUD dialog?

    Hi Johannes,
There are two parameters in the dialog properties called "Top" and "Left" that seem to deterine the position of the upper left corner of the dialog on the screen.
I have only used them in the "Preview" window of the SUD editor, but they seem to work fine.
Let me know if this is what you were looking for.

  • Moving the Page Count Icon?

Is there a way of moving the page count either to the left or right? Furthermore, I would like to add a page count like the one in google so that users can click on page 4 or 11 for example rather than having to click 4 times to get to page 4. Hope this
    makes sense.
    dfrancis

    Hi dfrancis,
Where  do you want to put the page count ?
I assume that you want to put the page count on a page with a data view web part or a content query web part .These web parts will not show the current page by default .You can edit the page in designer to add the page count .
More information, please refer to the post:

  • Count the position of substring

    Hi,
Is there any way to count the position of the substring in a string?
I have a requirement where the string I419II/I423II/ZCTOII/I704II/S415II/J001II/ZCSCDII/ZCSCOII has to be split and put into 2 fields function and department. The function field should have 40 or less than 40(near to 40) characters length where '/' should be the last character and the remaining part of the string should be put into department field.

    Hi,
    See this code...

  • How to fix the position of controls, so table expands into whitespace and doesn't push lower controls down (invoice report in SSRS 2005)

I am designing an invoice report. There are some controls at the top of the report (company logo, date, invoice number etc), followed by a table listing the items in the invoice, followed by some controls at the bottom (subtotals, returns address etc). The report should always print onto a single page.
I want the controls at the bottom to have a fixed position on the page. There is sufficient whitespace between these controls and the table above for the table to expand to list many items. However whenever it expands it pushes the lower controls down. This results in them spilling onto a second page.
Is there a way to fix the position of controls and suppress the "gets pushed down when controls above expand" effect?

Thanks for that. I found a good solution using rectangles here: SQL Server 2005: Report Design Best Practices and Guidelines
Here's the relevant part (see underlining):
Using Rectangles to Keep Objects Together
Rectangles in Reporting Services can be used either as graphical elements or as containers of objects. As object containers, they keep objects together on a page and control how object move and push each other.
To keep multiple objects together on a page, put the objects within a rectangle. You can then put a page break before or after the rectangle by using the PageBreakAtStart or PageBreakAtEnd properties for the rectangle.
Using Rectangles to Control Item Growth and Displacement
Items within a rectangle become peers of each other and are governed by the rules of how peer items are positioned on the page as they move or grow. For example:
Items will push or displace each other within the rectangle.
Items will not push or displace items outside the rectangle, because they are not their peers.
If necessary, a rectangle will grow to accommodate the items it contains.
You can use this logic to your advantage when dealing with objects that expand. For example:
If you want to leave a blank space in your report for a table to expand into, group the blank space and the table in the same rectangle. When the table grows, it will push the blank space .
If you want to prevent a matrix from pushing items off the right edge of the page, put the matrix within a rectangle with blank space to its right. Now, the matrix is no longer a peer to the other item on the page and will not be able to push it until the matrix can no longer be contained within its rectangle.
