Is there a way to add songs on my iPhone into a playlist using iTunes on another computer?

I am at work today and want to organize some of my songs that are currently on my iPhone into a playlist. Is there a way to do this using iTunes on my work computer? I'd rather not go to each song individually using my phone for this, as it would take forever lol. Please help!

If you first select the calendar on the left, so that its background is highlighted blue/grey, when you make a new events they should be added to that calendar.

HT1535 Is there a way to add ringtones to an iPhone if it's not set to sync?

I manually manage music on my iPhone, but I cannot add new ringtones. When I add a tone to my iTunes library, it appears under "Tones" and I can play it. However, when I drag it onto my iPhone, it is grayed out and the syncing symbol appears next to it, and I cannot assign it in my Sounds settings on the iPhone. I know that syncing tones will solve the problem, but I don't want to erase all the music on my phone.

About your only option is to create a new iTunes library, use 3rd party software to extract your music, playlists, etc. to the new library, then either auto-sync the iPhone to the new library or put the iPhone in manual management so that you can pick and choose what you want on the iPhone from the new library. Either way will erase your iPhone, so it would be crucial to extract the iPhone contents first using alternate software.

Is there any way to add AppleCare to an iPhone after the order when the phone has not been shipped yet

Simple question. I purchased an iPhone 5, and added AppleCare to the cart. After processing the order, I found that AppleCare had been dropped from the cart. The phone obviously hasnt shipped yet. I have tried calling, but am unable to reach anyone. Is there anyway to purchase AppleCare after main purchase without going to an apple store. The closest one for me is 2+ hours away.

This Morning:
I just got off the phone with an Apple representative. He assured me that, once my iPhone 5 arrives on September 21, I will be able to: 1) call Apple and have AppleCare+ added to my iPhone 5; 2) go into an Apple Retail Store and have AppleCare+ added to my iPhone 5. He said I would have thirty days from my device's ship date (September 21) to add AppleCare+ to it. He also recommended that, if I wanted to have AppleCare+ added at an Apple Retail Store, I should make an appointment as soon as possible. Because I was still concerned something might go wrong, the Apple representative emailed me a copy of my case number to use as a reference in case I have any issues obtaining AppleCare+ on September 21.

I live in the United States
My carrier is AT&T
I have a case number and repeated assurances from an Apple representative
While your situation may differ from mine I do hope you're able to add AppleCare+ to your iPhone 5 once it arrives, either by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE or by making an appointment at your nearest Apple Retail Store.

Get him an iCloud account (he must be 13 or over): he can sign out of yours and into this one for iCloud, including email, calendars, contacts and Photostream.
He can stay signed into iTunes with your ID - there's no problem about iTunes and iCloud being logged into different accounts.

Hi, hbirkie, and welcome to Apple Discussions. No, there isn't any way to apply text to a photo in iPhoto — you have to do that in a different application. MS Word is the last one I would ever have thought of using for that purpose, but if it works for you, great!

Is there a way to transfer songs from the iPhone 4s to PC without first erasing and syncing everything? The CD's were stolen and the only copy is currently on my iPhone.

Here's the order which things occured.
New iPhone 4S
Synched to computer, everything is cool.
Computer explodes, new HD purchased
Itunes empty, everything is on phone.
Download whatever was purchased off itunes (1000+ songs)
Still missing bout 400 songs from CD's
INSULT TO INJURY TIME:
CD's stolen. Only copy is on iphone.
When I try to sync to my computer (manually or otherwise) it wants to erase everything and put only what's on my PC.
What are my options to save the 400+ songs from my CD's that are still stored on my iphone?

I have all my whole iTunes library backed up in mp3 format on a hard drive, as well as all my CDs backed up in full quality format (FLAC) on other hard drives. If somebody steals my CDs I can always burn them again in full quality format (many of mine are from small bands that no longer exist and are irreplaceable otherwise). Bottom line -- it is worth spending a few bucks on backup drives if you are serious about your collection.

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchased content.

I bought the 16G iPhone 4S thinking that it would be plenty of memory since I had an iPod and was never close to using that much. I had no idea that all of the apps and phone aspects and such took up so much room. Now my phone is full and I was wondering if Apple had any kind of option to trade in your old phone and pay to upgrade to more memory.

You can't install more storage space later. You get 30 days (I believe) to decide if you are unhappy with a phone and return it for a refund. After that there is no trade-in option. You have to see if you can sell it (tricky) and buy a new one.

That depends. I use Google for my contacts, calendar and email. I have it set up as an Exchange account on both my iPhone and my iPad. Contacts, calendar and email are all kept in sync wirelessly without the need for me to do anything. If you are in the U.S. and your iPhone is the AT&T version, you can get any music that you purchased on either device (or on your computer) on the others without syncing. Look for the Purchases icon in the iPod app. If you're not in the U.S. or your iPhone is with Verizon, you'll have to wait until iOS 5.
For notes, I use Evernote. It's a cross platform app. I have it on my computer, both of my phones (iPhone and Android) and on my iPad. All of my notes are accessible to me from any device as long as I have an internet connection. I can also store notebooks locally on my iOS devices and my computer for offline use.
So, it's not completely seamless but many things can be synced wirelessly and without a computer right now.

Is there any way to recover photos if you didn't back up using iTunes or Photostream?

I tried to update my iPhone 4S to the iOS6 operating system and when it restarted it went into recovery mode. I've only had this phone for a few months but never turned on Photostream (never knew you had to manually go in and turn it on for it to update to the icloud) or synced it with iTunes since I use my phone mostly for work. I just had a baby 2 weeks ago and while I was in the hospital I took photos with my iPhone. Now Apple is telling me the only way to get my phone on again and working properly is to restore it in iTunes on my PC, but I'll have lost all the photos I took. I've contacted their support twice about it and keep getting the, sorry you're SOL. I'm pretty devastated and even though I emailed some of the photos to family, I won't have all of them and I'm very very upset that Apple wouldn't have some sort of prompt to back it up BEFORE this happens. It seems I'm not the only one who has had this unfortunate situation happen to them based on what I've read. The most irritating part is I've done two other software updates with this phone in the past and had no issues until this half-baked system update. Is there anything else you can do to either recover the photos or get the phone out of the recovery mode without restoring? It's still under the 1 year warranty, but Apple says there is nothing that can be done to recover the photos.

Basically, for me to upgrade to an iPhone 5s, I'll have to trade in my iPhone 4s. The thing is, I'm pretty sentimental when it comes to certain text messages and I would really like to be able to save them all somewhere, somehow. If the photos were on the iphone when the last sync was performed, then you should be able to restore from backup.
