For some websites that I visit every day, it is a pain to have to log in every time. (e.g., Zap2it, which provides TV listings in your local area). However, I like setting Tools/Options/Privacy to keep all cookies until I close Firefox. I would like to be able to configure Firefox so that all cookies would be removed EXCEPT those I specify. If I could do this, I would not have to log in every time.
You can't use [[Clear Recent History]] if you want to keep specific cookies by setting an exception.
"Clear Recent History" is all or nothing.
You can let the cookies expire if you close Firefox if you need to preserve specific cookies.
Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Keep until": "I close Firefox"

You may have an extension that is hiding those entries.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I am running namoroka and firefox both in win 7. I have set the tools/options/general (or main) tab setting to specify my homepage and to load my homepage when the browsers start. Nevertheless they both open blank pages when I hit the plus button to open a new browser page
If you want the home page to open in a new tab then you can middle-click or hold down Ctrl and left-click the toolbar Home button.

Is there a way to configure NTFS file system on an NSS 324 SmartStorage unit. So far I can setup ext 3 or ext 4 but no option for NTFS. This unit should be joining a Windows Server 2008 R2 network and needs to be shared with all users. This unit will replace a File server running Win 2003 SP2.

Thank you very much for your reply. The idea is to decommission the Windows file server which is running Windows Server 2003 SP2 operating system but is not running as a DC but just a member server. All this server is doing is providing file server services so my idea is to replace it with the NSS 324 box. My only concern is that when my NSS joins the domain all my users would be able to see and access network shares transparently, the same way they saw the former W2003 file server. After I transferred the data from File server I will use the same for NSS that was used for file server as well as same IP address and folders path as before.
Any suggestions or advice?

You can connect to an external HDD via a USB or eSATA port. The external HDD's file system can be NTFS, FAT32, AFT or EXT3/4 to be recognized for read/write. You can connect a 2TB USB/eSATA drive connec to the NSS via USB port to format your HDD for NTFS, AFT, FAT32, or EXT3/4 partition.
You can join the NSS to a Windows domainr so all domain users to access NSS. You cannot replace the NSS for the Windows 2003 SP2 server. They are two different products and do different jobs. Windows server is features sets server while the NSS is the files/data server.

Is there any way to configure storage queue message encoding for Web Job's QueueTrigger?
We have a web job that listens to Azure storage queue via QueueTrigger. The queue messages are not encoded when they are added to the queue:

And in the web job, we use the below method to listen to the queue.

And the web job crashes when it gets a message, with the below output. Unfortunately we cannot control the encode setting of the coming messages. So, our question is, is there any way to configure queue message encoding for Web Job's QueueTrigger?

Is there a way to configure Mac Mail ...?
I have an IMac desktop, a MacBook & a 4th generation IPod Touch. As it now stands whenever I receive email it goes to all 3 devices necessitating the need to physically read and/or delete the messages from all 3 devices. Is there some way to configure Mac Mail to eliminate these steps or do I just have to keep manually removing mail messages as I'm now doing?

In Apple Mail preferences, Accounts, when you go to set up a new mail account you click the plus in the lower left as usual. When the Add account sheet is displayed if you press the option key while clicking the Continue button you will be given a window to define the account as POP or IMAP.
Alternatively if you enter an invalid email address into the Add Account window and juct click Continue (no option key) you will again be given the IMAP/POP choice. This technique I think will work in the other itoys as well. -
My daughter has an iPod touch using my apple ID, I just purchased an iPhone with the same ID. Is there a way to keep my stuff seperate from her ipod but still share the iTunes account? I was looking through the photo section on my iPhone and found pics my daughter has taken from her iPod. I do not want my pics, emails, etc to show up on her iPod. Is there a way to stop this from happening or do I have to create a different Apple ID for her to use instead?

Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>GameCenter
and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases. -
I no longer am able to see how many emails I have in my inbox ever since I upgraded to iOS 7 is there a way for me to see how many emails are in my inbox now?
I have the same problem - I'd like to see the total number of emails I have in each folder when I'm in the folder - it used to be at the top of the screen but since upgrading to iOS7 it's gone. It now only shows how many emails are unread when you're in the folder list.
Gumby20133, I tried double clicking the Home button but nothing happened when I swiped up on the mail preview thumbnail - please could you explain what I was doing wrong? Actually, even if I could do that, would I have to do it every time I wanted to see the total amount of emails in each folder? As what I'm looking for is a way to permanently have the amount of emails showing in each folder - is there any way I can do that?

I made a dumb decision to 'Erase Free Space' on my drive. I now have no free space, I realize because it wrote 0's over all my free space. Is there a way to undo this??? It's more likely a failed Erase Free Space, which creates a huge temporary file; that's why it looks like you have no more available drive space. You can recover from this. See these links

On iTunes 11, how can I access home sharing if the music is from a CD on a different computer using Home Sharing? Is there any way I can download these songs if (A) I no longer have the CD, or (B) I do not want to pay $25 a year for iTunes Match?
Yes, you can copy songs that you ripped from a CD to your Home Sharing computer.
Turn on Home Sharing first on both computers. To do that, go to File > Home Sharing > Turn on Home Sharing. Enter your Apple ID and password.
Now go to your computer that you want to copy the songs to and connect to your Home Share. You can do that by clicking on the popover button located at the left top corner right below the play control buttons. Click on it and scroll to the bottom until you see your Home Share and select it.
Go to Music in your Home Share. Select the songs that you want to copy in your Home Share and click Import at the bottom right corner. -
In iTunes, is there any way to do a mass copy and paste of song titles from the "name" column to the "sort name" column? I know it can be done with individual titles but I have over 6,000 titles in my library.

I'm still growing in the world of Composition, and I know that it is something I will be studying in one of my Computer Music classes coming up for my degree. I think it is something I will look into getting once I can justify the price of it. I guess for the time being, I will continue to play and grow in my ability to use and take advantage of GB, and then see what I can do about or with Logic Pro when I'm ready. The thought of spending $1000 for a program is hard to bite, because I've already spent a lot to produce my music, not only electronic music, but also chamber music and so on. I had no idea it would be so expensive to dive deep into the world of composition! lol.
