hi there,
i just get new ipod touch in kuwait from alghanem electronics two days ago. it is 32G, when i start the ipod it was blank. i don't know first time i get apple product. so i went to apple site. and read the manual. i downloaded itunes and plug my ipod into the USB and it give me to options update and restore. so i update to 3. the system was busy because it is downloading the update.
after it finish and the batt. chanrge full. i start the ipod and it was black. no backlights at all. i try to read here how to make it on. so i know now how to do the brightnees but the problem is that i have to slide the brightnees to zero that i can work with and see somthing. when i open any application the screen dim again. i try alot to change i settings and no use.
i made a restore and reboot etc.. reseting the system and no use.
this problem is bugs me. i know i can return it back. but in kuwait we don't have apple pranche or retailer. so it is black market here. it has a warrenty but i know that they will say we will fix it keep it few days. and i want another one. i don't want to fix factory errors and pay money for that.
and here in apple site there is nothing for middle east or even for kuwait. no information.
so any one here can help me to fix this or through this $400 ipod under the car wheels?

Is there any way to fix the window screen grab in 10.5?
For whatever reason, the window capture function (CMD-SHIFT-4, then SPACE) in OS X 10.5 now insists on including the shadow of the window being captured. Given how much documentation I write this is a HUGE setback for me; what used to take a few seconds now takes several minutes since I now have to edit every image in Photoshop to remove the shadow, or use CMD-SHIFT-4 without the SPACE and hope my marquee is accurate.

Let's say you have a window that's sized to, say, 400x300, and you want to grab that window. You hit SHIFT-CMD-4, then tap SPACE, then click on the window.

Is there a way to fix the Remote Desktop Connection Manager memory usage crashes?
I'm using RDCMan and it has been using a lot of memory and crashing. With 12 connections it uses 1,548,976 K of memory and crashes with an "Unhandled exception" "Not enough storage is available to process this command. (Exception from
HRESULT: 0x80070008)." I love this program and want to know if there's a way to fix this on my end. It seems like other people are not having this issue. I'm running a fresh install of Win7 Ent. I have .NET 3.51 and 4 installed.
Do I need to installed .NET 2.0?

my home button has today stopped working! is there any way that this can be fixed, either by a repair shop or by me doing some thing? at the moment the only way to get out of an app is to turn off the ipod and then tuirn it back on again - which is getting really tiresome and annoying!!

Librarian Asst. needs your help! Trying to preserve WWII veteran's interviews presently on cassette. However, on one cassette the voices sound like chipmunks (speed too fast during recording). I know how to transfer the cassette recording onto garageband. I just don't know how to transfer the recording at a slower speed, so that the voices will sound normal. Is there a way? Please help. You could try two things (sorry, I can only point you to the current settings in GB'11, since I no longer have GB '09) but it should be very similar.
The easiest thing would be, if the vocal transformers do work. You can change the pitch of a voice using a "Vocal Transformer" effect. Click the "Edit" tab in the "Info" panel and click an empty brick to add a filter:
If that does not work, try to change the timing of the track. Enable "Follow Tempo&Pitch". If GB '09 does not have "follow tempo & pitch", record your tape directly into a Real Instrument track in GB to record a purple region.
Use the tempo slider in the LED display to lower the tempo, till the recording does sound more natural.

I'm experiencing a not-quite-crash every time I attempt to open firefox on my new computer. What happens is that the menu bar (which I prefer to have visible instead of that orange single-button menu) has all the letters on it turn gray, and I lose my ability to click anywhere on the page, including to close it. If I attempt to close the page via the taskbar it doesn't let me. It does, however, let me open new windows via the taskbar which don't have the same problem, which allows for an easy-but-inconvenient fix. I've tried it out and it does not have the same problem in Safe Mode. As a result of not being a "true" crash I can't give a crash ID, so you won't be able to trace it that way, sorry.

Is there a way to fix the white or black screen on Ipad 4th Gen?
Ive tried to reset it and restore to factory settings but this does not work. The screen was white until I restored to factory settings and now it's black when it starts up. Ive also let it die and tried to charge and power it on again but no go. It's an Ipad Black 32GB 4th Gen. I will post a link to one of the pictures I had of it below. We have an agreed selling price in RMB from the supplier and the export rate(RMB to USD) is given by them according to delivery date. But we pay in USD. Thus PO header is USD and using M rate but PO price condition type in PO item is RMB -> then convert to USD and sum up into gross price. We want to control the way RMB is converted to USD in the item level.
e.g. PO order currency is USD, PO header exchange rate is a fixed rate input by user
(hedge rate USD -> Local company currency)
PO item 1 agreed PO price is 100 RMB -> PO item condition's rate is 100 RMB per pc
-> export rate RMB to USD fixed at 8 -> 100 / 8 USD
PO item 2 agreed PO price is 200 RMB -> PO item condition's rate is 200 RMB per pc
at export rate -> 200 / 8 USD
Total PO value in USD = 300 RMB / 8 (we don't want it to convert 300 RMB using M rate)
