Is there a way to focus the Firefox proxy authorization window to be on top or be the focus when opening a new session?
Using FF 3.6.7 through a Squid proxy server on Windows XP Pro at my office. When starting FF, the proxy authorization dialogue box (for proxy user ID and password) is always hidden behind other open windows. A new tab for the box doesn't even appear in the Windows taskbar. I have to ALT-TAB may way through the windows to get to it, and sometimes, I even forget that it's there and I wonder why FF isn't opening.
Is there any way to force that proxy authorization dialogue window to be the focus when opening FF? This problem does not happen with IE.

You will need to open your video in a window and not minimise it fully only shrink it to the size you want.

I had to reformat the hard drive on my old desktop. It is runninf Windows XP. I can't get Internet Explorer to work so I can connect to the internet via wireless. Is there a way I can download firefox from my new desktop onto a flas drive and then install Firefox from the flash drive onto my old desktop? If so, please explain the procedure.

Download firefox, use the save option rather than install.
Save it directly to the flash drive, or to somewhere on your computer and copy/move it the flash drive.
However if IE is not working possibly you have some sort of setup problem so firefox may not work either. -

The "Frequent" section each time I see it, has added previous sites that I have visited. This list then has lots of duplicates in it. I do not need that, and would like to keep this listing a a favored few.
Is there a way to stop having superfluous web-sites added to the "Frequent" list ??

Is there a way to speed up Firefox (I have the Fasterfox plug in)?
It takes 85 sec. to open (vs. 13 for Camino) and 18 to open a new page (v. 4 for the same page with Camino).
There are features and browser restrictions which favor Firefox; however, the wait offsets those benefits.
G4 Dual 450 Mac OS X (10.3.9) 1 GBHi, Jerry. On my Powerbook G4, with a 1GHz processor and half as much RAM as you have, FireFox 2.0.0.2 opens (to a blank page, which is what I prefer) in 5 seconds — slower than Safari, but nothing like what you're seeing. It loads most pages a little faster than Safari. I've never used FasterFox, and in light of what you report, I certainly won't try it. Maybe you should get rid of it too.
What version of FireFox are you running? Have you emptied its cache lately? Is it possible that whatever you're using for a home page is what's wasting all that time when you start FireFox? You might try choosing another home page, or opening FF to a blank page as I do. You can't blame the app for being slow to load a page that's hosted on a slow server, if that's what's happening. -

Short answer is no. And unfortunately there's no really longer answer. Firefox Sync's vision and product design is to allow you to have all your information in all your browsers.
The really long answer is that they are some other projects on the works that will cover the case that you refer to: you are in a computer that is not yours and you want to access once with your home set-up. Unfortunately at the moment is just an idea. -
Is there a way that iTunes can act as a Radio Alarm Clock?
I have found the radio station I enjoy listening to in the iTunes Radio List. Is there anyway iTunes (and my Mac) can be set to come-on from Sleep mode and start playing that Radio Station at specific times of the day?
Any App or plug-in that does that?

1. In iTunes create a playlist that contains just the radio station you want to wake up to.
2. Export the playlist (as .m3u works well). Get Info on your playlist file and look at the Open With entry to make sure it points to iTunes, VLC or some other app that will stream your station.
3. In iCal create an event entry at the time you want to wake up.
4. Right (or Control) click on your wakeup event and select Get Info.
5. For "alarm" select Open File.
6. Now under Open File there will be a place to add the file to open. It will probably be some default entry (like iCal). Click on it will allow you to select "other." Then use the file dialog to select your playlist file.
Your Mac will wake you up at the appointed time. You don't need to keep iCal running. If you want to put you Mac to sleep for the night then there is one more thing you need to do. Open System Preferences to Energy Saver and click on the Schedule button. Check Start up or wake and set the wake up time to slightly before your iCal alarm time.

Apps are only tied to one account... You can set up two iTunes accounts on your computer, however, and let his iPad sync to his account. If he has never backed up his apps to a computer, however, he will have to redownload all the apps. Afterwards, he can backup to iCloud instead of your computer.

Bridge will do the job. View > Sort > ByType. Then you can choose a group of one type and put the files in a separate folder.

Is there a way to sort a PDF file with multiple pages by a specific field within the PDF? All pages have the same invoice format and i would like to sort by a field within and then print the documents. (Vendor, PO#, Date, ect.)
When you say field, do you mean specifically a form field, such as a text field? Or is the information regular text on the page?
