Is there a way to log the PID at the same time as GC ?

Hi there, I have two JVMS running inside a j2ee container. If I log GC with -Xloggc, the output only goes to the one file, written to by both JVMs, and the PID of the JVM does not get output so I cannot tell in which JVM the GC has occurred.
Was wondering if there was some obscure XX or D option to enable the output of this extra information ?
Or any other way of doing it.. ok I can poll the two PIDs in jstat, and infer GC from a heap reduction, but that's not very nice.. and I've heard I can use a third party log system like log4j .. but was wondering if anyone had a nice simple solution :-)
Alternatively, any unix gurus here, I don't know a way of monitoring a file for processes opening it in unix, if so I could log that as well... could I tail the file? doesn't seem to help.. run lsof on it? would need to poll so no good.. struggling! help!

Two JVM's ? I thought that J2EE worked within a single JVM and run everything in containers. Can you see the two processes?

Yes. Flag the pics and go control-command-delete or just select the pic option=command-delete

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select

Select one and click cmd-A which selects them all.

iMessage can be viewed and responded to on another Apple device. IPad, iPod or Mac computer.
regular SMS from non iPhone users will not show and you can't send to those phones.

I'm afraid you can only sign in to Skype Translator using a Microsoft account. You can - however - link your Microsoft account to your "old" Skype account and then juse Skype Translator that way. Keep in mind though that you will lose the contact list of your Microsoft account based Skype account that way. If you have a rescue email address set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Security' and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within, I think, about 24 to 48 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox)

Some may already exist, but you will have to learn them. On my old system these can be found through keyviewer.app For example, if I press option+s I get ß Umlaut is a bit cumbersome as option+u then the actual letter. It may be possible to bind a key to do this function, possibly through System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts
I have old, old references for utilities that let you rebind keys to other functions, and you would have to see if they have modern equivalents.

what do you mean by your first use of the word "window"? do you mean a visible frame? a section of the gui that the user doesnt see?
or perhaps you mean you want to add multiple tabs to a single window, so that switching between tabs shows different windows?

Is there a way to make all page margins the same?

I've exported a book file from indesign. Since the pages were in a book-type spread, the odd and even pages have different margins. The odd page has the bigger margin on the left, while the even has the bigger margin on the right. Is there any way to make these identical after the fact. I can't go back and redo the indesign file.

But when I try to reverse the inside outside on one page of the spread, just reverse them, so the dimensions are the SAME, all the text and photos move.
