My computer crashed and I lost my iTunes library, including all of the personal music that I put on my IPOD Nano. I want to put more music on my nano, but want to keep what is on there now. Is there a way to sync my nano back to ITunes?

The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.

If the movies were rentals then no.
If the movies are purchases and you have the iTunes 10.4 then you should be able to access the 'cloud' option from in the main iTunes page - purchases - (upper right corner) and go from there.
You should also have the option to transfer purchases from the iPad back into iTunes. I don't have an iPad but you can transfer purchases from the iPod/iPhone back to iTunes.

Is there a way to sync Books from 2 different itunes libraries?

I need to get some books from my laptop onto my iPad (although my iPad isn't synced with this laptop - the PC it is synced too no longer works ) however it won't allow me to sync just the books without trying to erase and sync my entire iPad. Is there ANY way at all I can just sync my books, I'm not fussed if i loose what books I have already.

Itunes will only allow you to sync to one library at a time. The best thing would be to recover the files from the pc and import them into itunes on the laptop.
I would then perform a backup to icloud, at least some things will be saved if something goes wrong.

2) open itunes
3) edit, preferences
The most important bit coming up:
4) LEAVE PREFERENCES OPEN THROUGHOUT WHOLE PROCESS, OTHERWISE IPOD WILL BE WIPED.
5) plug in ipod
6) open my computer
7) ipod should be in devices with removable storage
8) into ipod
9) into ipod control
10) into music
11) select all
12) copy
13) into my documents
14) into my music
15) into itunes (folder)
16) into itunes music (folder)
17) paste
when the paste has finished:
18) use remove ipod icon on toolbar to get ipod disconnected safely
19) into itunes program
20) close preferences
21) file, add folder to library
22) find your way back to itunes music folder
and there it all is. Go back to hiding hidden folders in tools, folder options when done, or they can get in the way (or deleted by mistake!)
no idea how to do any of this on a mac, i'm a PC user!

I wanted my teenager's AppleID to be different from mine so that she couldn't charge stuff to my AppleID, therefore I created me another one. Now when I go to Sync either device, it tells me that this IOS device can only be synced with one AppleID. Then I get a message to erase it, not going to do that, lol. If I logout as one ID and login as the other, will it still retain all synced information on the PC from the first IOS device? If I can just log in out of the AppleID, then I have no problem doing that as long as the synced apps, music, etc stays there for both. I am not trying to copy from one to the other, just want to make sure I have a backup for the UhOh times. If logging in and out on the same PC of multiple AppleIDs is acceptible then I need to be able to authorize the PC for both devices. Thanks for the help. I am new to the iOS world.

I forgot to mention that she has a PC at her house that she also syncs to. Would this cause a problem. I am already getting that pop up saying that the iPod is synced to another library (even though she is signed in with her Apple ID to iTunes) and gives the pop up to Cancel, Erase & Sync, or Transfer Purchases. My question arose because she clicked on "Erase & Sync" by mistake when she plugged the iPod to her PC the first time. When the iPod was purchased and setup, it was synced to my PC first. When she went home, she hooked it up to her PC and then she erased it by accident. I was able to restore all the missing stuff yesterday using my PC. However, even after doing that it still told me the next time I hooked it up last night that the iPod was currently synced with a different library. Hopefully, you can help me understand all this. You can sync the saves between devices by using the Apple sharing through iTunes to copy save games (and other items) on and off from a device.
- Connect your iPod/iPad/iPhone to your computer
- Open iTunes, then select the device in the panel at the left
- Select 'Apps' then at the bottom you should notice an area called 'File Sharing'
- Select 'FM 2012' or 'FM 2011' (depending on which game you have) from the apps listed and you'll see a handful of files in the panel on the rightAny ".dat" files are saved games and you'll have up to 5 of them. "hidden.dat" is the autosave file, while "fm_save1.dat" through to "fm_save4.dat" are manually saved files named according to their position in the save slots.

If they are on the iPod there are third-party programs that will transfer then to a computer. See:
