Is there any way to keep folders organized without having to reorganize?
I download a lot of mixtapes and am very organized about my music. If it helps I always manually add my music into iTunes and have the music I've purchased and uploaded from CDs seperated from the music I get online. I'm constantly finding new artists and make a folder for them. Every time I open Finder and go to the folder containing all the artist folders I constantly have to clean it up and arrange them by kind and name. Some of the mixtapes have never been opened but I have them in case I ever want to hand them to a friend or want to find new music. When I create a new folder it's always at the bottom despite everything else being organized alphabetically and by kind. Is there a way to for my music to stay organized withough having to constantly select all and arrange it? Like if I create a new folder with the letter B I want it to automatically go where all the B folders are without having to move it on my own. Thanks!
The software "Big Folder Machine 2" should do all of what you want.
EDIT: I think I misread your post. If you just right-click and arrange by name, it will do it. There is no need to select every folder.

I'm having trouble installing the latest update of the OS on my MacBook Pro, and after trying a couple of things, I just wanted to get in touch with a customer service representative to help me out with the issue. Turns out that my "support coverage" has expired, so what now? The fact that there is an expiration date on "customer service" baffles me... But yeah, thats the problem I'm having. Any ideas?
The specific issue I am having is as follows:
- I see the availavle OS update on the App Store Icon, so I open it to get started.
- It asks me to restart the computer, so I click OK and it reboots.
- Once rebooted, I log back into my account, and notice that the update still has not been applied.
- I check the OS version and confirm that there has been no change.
- Try to update again, and the problem persists.
For some reason I cannot update to the latest OS version.The fact that there is an expiration date on "customer service" baffles me...
Why? It's called a warranty, and yours expired. What's hard about that to understand? -
Is there any way to print from iPad without having wireless network?
My mom is getting an iPad 64GB Wi-Fi + 3G to be able to surf the internet easily since the only service available to her at her house is dial-up. She would like to be able to print from her iPad. It seems from my research that all the printers require connection to a wi-fi network to use airprint. Does anyone know of an easy way for her to print? Also, she doesn't have a computer available to her right now as it recently died. Does anyone know of a solution?

I am getting very aggravated by this, as I am not the one that did anything, yet they want me to pay for this movie again. I personally feel that this is a morally bankrupt thing for apple to do, unless it was a simply an error, in which case I expect to have my movie back.
I also lost all my movies a month or two ago when I upgraded iTunes, a pain in the arse getting everything back, but since then I back up everything religiously. Apple didn't delete my movies, they just disappeared the way these things do sometimes when you upgrade software.
Avatar, however, is not available from teh iCloud and you would have been warned of this when you bought it - my son has it on his iPad and he wants to remove it to free up space but the only way we can get it again is to pay for it again (unless someone has a smart idea of how I can sync his iPad with my PC and capture a version of it like that?.....without losing all my itunes on the PC?.....).
Some movie houses are more generous than others, but a small price to pay for the brilliant convenience of having most movies on the Cloud, I'd say :-) -

Could be a corrupt download of those particular songs...
If you live in a Region that allows re-downloading Music...
Delete the Song(s) and re-download...

When I listen to music on my iPhone and pause it, if I come back to it later, the playlist has started over. I have a 4S running on iOS 7.0.4. Is there any way to keep this from happening so that my playlist will start off where I last was?

Just downloaded the new OS for IPhone. Despise the appearance. It has jacked with the way I like things in some unacceptable ways. Is there any way to keep the OS, but return to the old appearance? Important to know BEFORE I download OS for computer.
I know I am responding to my own thread, but I an SOOOO disgusted with Apple right now.
The new iOS 7 was the lead story on CNN today... and it wasn't positive. Easy to see why, it's a graphics disaster. It is ugly, difficult to read, doesn't interface aesthetically with the iPhone 4S, and gives everyone in America vertigo. Either fix the appearance, or find some way to allow us to roll back to our previous iOS. Do so quickly, or this life-long Apple customer [circa 1978] will be moving on. If this represents shades of what is coming with OS Maverick, I am petrified. Further, I am a GM of a chain of newspapers and websites in the Austin, Texas area. I will be ripping out a scathing editorial. The notion that we can't roll back from something millions of us hate is despicable. I'm giving you one week. Be sure I am not alone. -

Go to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn LED Flas for Alerts to Off.

Is there any reason that my lock keeps unlocking in my network settings? Is there any way to keep it locked? It sure is inconvenient when I have to reboot to get back on the internet and re-lock that lock.
You could try changing the settings in System Preferences/Security & Privacy/General/Advanced/Require an Administator password to access locked preferences
But this will affect all Preference settings. -

My query is i cannot select vibrate alert ON for receiving calls alone, i noticed that turning on or off for vibrate is common for both calls and messaging. is there any way to keep vibrating ON for calls only and not for messages please advise me on this issue. Even if i turn OFF for Message option the phone still vibrates when receiving SMS , atleast is there a update for this option to select separate vibrate option for both calls and messaging.. This is weird
Moderator's note: Subject was amended as the post was moved to a more appropriate board.Haven't seen anything like that in any S40 phone. So I don't think its ever possible. It will either vibrate for everything or nothing.

I'd upgrade, but maps the way it is now works very well for me and is one of the things I use most on my iPhone. Is there any way to keep the old version of maps when upgrading?
No - just don't upgrade until Google release there maps app. I wish I could go back to yesterday and give myself this advice.

As much as I understand that declined meetings are deleted from the calendar, is there any way to keep them so that I can recall the dates of these meetings, and request updates or summaries? I wish they were grayed out so I could still refer to the data.

Thanks.There isn't one. When the computer wakes up, the display is on. You could set a screensaver with a dark background to start automatically after a certain amount of idle time, and require a password to unlock it, but you'd still see the bright login window.
It also occurs to me that you might be able to set up a task that would dim the screen automatically at a specified time, and brighten it at another time. If you're interested in that option, I'll look into it when I have the time. -
