Is there anyway to get everything off of my itunes on my friends pc and put it on my itunes on my laptop?

i have the newest version of itunes on my laptop, its the version before that on my friends pc... any ideas of how to get all my shizz off their pc and get it on my laptop???? HELP MEEE

You can burn disks but if you have too many songs try this:  use an external hardrive.  I use windows Pc. Go into start> Music> find the folder that says Itunes and drag and drop that folder onto your desktop. Now after plugging in the external drive open My computer and find the external drive make sure the window is minimized. The drag the itunes folder from the desktop into the external drive. Done.
Then once that is finished open your itunes File>add folder to library>find the folder on your external and you should be done.  I will say it doesnt always go that smoothly as it hasnt always for me and I have done this several times.
You may also try drag and drop the folder from the external into the itunes library.

iTunes will only give you the option to copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from an iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
For everything else (music from CDs, other downloads etc) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

  • Is there ANYWAY to get pictures off a destroyed iPhone that can't sync?

My boyfriend has an iphone that was never synced with a computer (I know, I've taken care of that with his new phone) but that phone contains pictures that are very precious to him. Not just every day pictures that he'll miss....But the photos of his daughter leading up to, and just before and just after her open heart surgery. She was only 4 and he would do anything to get those pictures back. But the phone was dropped while he was working on a roof, and is shattered, and cannot connect with a computer. Is there anyway to sent this into apple, or any other course of action to get the information off the hard drive on the phone? We would obviously be willing to pay for a service... I just need to know if such a service exists, and how to get it.

doubt there are anything you yourself can do
but there are companys who make their living salvaging data from many different source such as burned laptops and the likes
but depending on the damage the price could be very very high

  • Is there anyway to get your iPhone 5 replaced if it is under warranty, and you are being forced to switch carriers through no fault of your own?

My wife and I both have 64GB iphone 5. I am military and we had to move to a new town. Our service is with AT&T. They called us to tell us we were off network, and we could not use any of the data we pay for every month. And they have the option to terminate our contract at any time. So my question is, if this happens does anyone know if carriers, or apple will switch out your phone, or do we have to buy new ones.

Afraid you will have to buy new phones.  Neither Apple nor any carrier I've ever had has considered that sort of thing a condition to replace your devices (AT&T and others have let people out of their contracts without penalty because of moving though).
Before you leave AT&T, ask them to unlock your phones.  Then, you may be able to use them with T-Mobile - although T-Mobile is not fully compatable with all iPhone features yet, their service may be an option until you are ready to buy new devices.  Also, your iPhone 5's would likely still get you a decent return if you sold them, or just used something like Gazelle (Gazelle's web site just came up with an offer of $380 for 32GB iPhone 5, factory unlocked in flawless condition - $400 for your 64GB devices with the same conditions).
So, you should be able to get enough for your iPhone 5's to pay the subsidized new contract cost of new iPhones with Verizon or Sprint.

  • Is their anyway to get my music from my iTunes 9.2.1 onto my iPhone4s?

I have an old MacBook. My iTunes is version 9.2.1 and doesn't recognize my iPhone 4s when I plug it in (only pictures). Is there anyway to get my music from my iTunes onto my phone?

    Copied from this link.

Syncing with iTunes on a Mac or PC requires:
Mac: OS X v10.5.8 or later
PC: Windows 7; Windows Vista; or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 3 or later
iTunes 10.5 or later (free download from www.itunes.com/download)
Your Mac needs to be running OS X 10.5.8 at a minimum first and then you can install the current iTunes version.

Do you have the computer working again? If so, sync the iPhone to the computer, and in iPhoto it should show up as a 'camera' and you can import the photos from there. You can also open iTunes and transfer the music from the iPhone to your iTunes library.

Is there anyway to get the ipod out of being locked and having a password that was forgotten off?

Connect to the iPod to iTunes and restore it. Right click on the name of the iPod under DEVICES and click Restore. If it says it can't restore because the device is locked with a passcode, put it in Recovery Mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

  • My ipod was stolen and I had it backed up with icloud.  Is there anyway to get my music back?

My ipod was stolen, but I had it backed up with Icloud.  Is there anyway to get the music?  I also need to know how to get he music off my daughter's iphone?  Some of the music was from cd's that were uploaded to itunes?

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
The music sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The only exception is itunes purchases:  File>Transfer Purchases

  • Is there anyway to get serial number from itunes for my stolen ipod?

Help.. My ipod 5th gen was stolen..is there anyway to get the Serial Number off itunes??

Yes, if you have any backups on file.  If you are using windows, go to edit>preferences, if on a mac, go to itunes>preferences.
When you are in the preferences page, choose the device tab.
Look for a backup of the ipod, if there is, you can just hover your mouse over the backup, dont click or anything, but after a moment or two, a little box will pop up with you serial number.

  • Is there anyway to get a list of songs that won't transfer to my ipod?

Every time I sync my ipod I get 74 items that are not able to be transfered. I know I can click on the + below the notification but I want to be able to see them listed by artist or album not by song. I just want to delete them off my Itunes so this message does not keep coming up. Is there anyway to get a list that compiles all these or am I going to have to write down all 74 songs and then delete them?
Or can I just delete them from the notification when it comes up?

No, and it's infuriating, isn't it? Whatever were the apple coders thinking, not even allowing us to cut/paste into a notepad file when that error message comes up?
Pencil is it, forget their iPad coolness....this is what it comes to when things don't work. Helloooo 1500s when the pencil was invented.
    edit
I have nagged them over the years to at least do a cut/paste thing. I suppose it's an improvement over not giving any error as to which file at all, which itunes did until a few years ago....

  • Is there anyway to get music from an old laptop without deleting my new music?

Awhile back my old laptop with all my music on it stopped working. Since then I have gotten a new iphone along with new music on a new laptop. I was wondering is there anyway to get my old music back without messing up anyof my new data?

Restore the backup of your old laptop to your new laptop.
Copy the music off the hardd rive of the old laptop to the hard drive
of the new laptop. If the old laptop is no longer working, data on the
hard drive may be salvageable if it is removed from the old laptop
and put into a hard drive enclosure for connecting to the new laptop.
Download from iTunes if the music was originally purchased under the same
AppleID you are using on the new laptop.
Reimport from CDs is that was the original source of the music.

  • Is There Anyway To Get Back Playlists?

I had to dump Windows and re-add it, but I totally forgot to back up my music. I had over $400.00 of tunes and lost everything. Is there anyway to get back my library/playlists. Thank you.

*I had over $400.00 of tunes and lost everything*
If you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. If you click on this link you'll be able to email your query: Customer Service - iTunes Store Support
If you have an iPod that still has any of your purchases on it you'll find details in this article on how to transfer them to the computer: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
*Is there anyway to get back my library/playlists*
Not without a backup of the library files to restore from

  • I am using a very old iphone and have forgotten my password. Is there anyway to get passed the lockout screen?

I am using a very old iPhone and have forgotten my password. Is there anyway to get passed the lockout screen? It says to connect to iTunes but when I do nothing happens. I've read through the user guide and am at a loss.

Bypass & Reset the iPhone Passcode
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, leave the other end connected to your Mac/PC
    Launch iTunes
Press and hold the Home and Power button on the top of the iPhone to turn off the device
Press and continue to hold the Home button while you reconnect the USB cable to your iPhone, this will cause the iPhone to turn on
Continue to hold the Home button until an alert message in iTunes appears that an iPhone in recovery mode has been detected
Now that the iPhone is in recovery mode, you must restore the device:
From iTunes, look under the “Summary” tab
Click on the “Restore” button within iTunes
