Is this another change in AppleScript?

Hello,
Ok, this is a script from a book that does not work. I suspect something has changed since the book was published. I have gone ahead and tried to fix the problem on my own but even after finally getting it to compile, it still does not do the desired effect. Could you please help?
This script is written in the book ((note: the syntax error message for 'when done' is "A identifier can't go after this identifier.") and when done is highlighted);
set this_sound to (((path to library folder from System domain) as string) & "Sounds:Submarine.aiff") as alias
tell app "QuickTime Player"
open this_sound
set close when done of movie 1 to true
play movie 1
end tell
So, I changed 'when done' to after completion this worked better but ... to make a long story shorter. After checking the dictionary I discovered movie 1 no longer works for QuickTime Player and changed that also to document 1. I also changed the next line to document 1. So, lines 4 and 5 are now;
set close after completion of document 1 to true
play document 1
Now I receive this error message in the Result (with the following screenshot of the sheet);
error "QuickTime Player got an error: Can’t make completion of document 1 into type specifier." number -1700 from completion of document 1 to specifier
Oh and QuickTime Player launches but does not close. There is where I have gotten lost. Please tell me how to fix this and if I am correct in my guess that it has to do with the boolean (specifier right?) for the document? Oh, and if I am correct could you please explain why it no longer works (what the change has been)?

You need to use QuickTime Player 7 (com.apple.quicktimeplayer) because QuickTime Player X (com.apple.QuickTimePlayerX) is completely different thing.
Installing QuickTime Player 7

QuickTime Player 7 for Mac OS X v10.6.3 or later

And if you want to quit the player when done, set "quit when done" property of the document to true. The following scripts work with QuickTime Player 7 under 10.6.8.
set snd to (((path to library folder from system domain) as string) & "Sounds:Submarine.aiff") as alias
tell application id "com.apple.quicktimeplayer"
    open snd
    --set close when done of document 1 to true -- close document 1 when done playing it
    set quit when done of document 1 to true -- quit application when done playing document 1
    play document 1
end tell
or simpler -
set snd to (((path to library folder from system domain) as string) & "Sounds:Submarine.aiff") as alias
tell application id "com.apple.quicktimeplayer"
    activate
    tell (open snd)
        --set close when done to true -- close this document when done playing it
        set quit when done to true -- quit application when done playing this document
        play
    end tell
end tell
