ISE AD Integration Issues

G'day All,
I am attempting to ad my primary admin node to AD, but I am receving the following error message in the ISE gui.
using Writable Domain Controller: addc01.abc.com
Update Computer DnsName Failed.
User Does Not Have Update Privileges On The DNSHostName Attribute.
Error: Either User [email protected] Does Not Have Sufficient Permissions To Join
Domain Abc.com, Zone Null
Or This Computer Already Has An Account In The Domain.
In Order To Rejoin, You Must Have Domain Administrator Privileges.
Join To Domain Abc.com , Zone Null Failed
The detailed test passes fine. I don't see any NTP errors and DNS is completely resolvable at both ends.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated guys.

AD account required for domain access in ACS should have either of the following:
- Add workstations to domain user right in corresponding domain.
- Create Computer Objects or Delete Computer Objects permission on corresponding computers container where ACS machine's account is precreated (created before joining ACS to the domain).

ISE WLC Integration issues

We are in the process of integrating ISE into our WLC and are planning on implementing HReap (Flexconnect) local switching. We have setup the ISE server as a Radius entry in the WLC and added WLC to ISE, same shared secret. We have a test SSID configured on the WLC and it is using the entry to ISE for AAA. We have used "none" for layer 2 security as well as WPA.......but we never see any activity on the ISE server. Also from the WLC if we do a show radius auth stat there doesn't appear to be any traffic sent from the WLC to ISE.

We have integrated ISE with swtich and ASA and have always been able to get some activity on the ISE authentication monitor.

Wireless will not do dACLs with or without FlexConnect. In centrally switched networks you can use Named ACLs which are differnt than dACLs.
But you are correct with FlexConnect (pre-7.5*) you can use FlexConnect ACLs tied to the VLAN. Then you can use ISE to set the VLAN.
*As of 7.5 version of code you can now user named ACLs on Locally Switched users, but it is still a named ACL and not a dACL.

In the earlier releases, you could have a per client access control list (ACL) in a centrally switched traffic. In this release, this feature has been enhanced to support ACL for local switching traffic with both central and local authentication. Client ACL is returned from AAA on successful client Layer 2 authentication as part of Airespace RADIUS attributes. As the Airespace RADIUS attribute is an ACL name, the ACL must be already present on the FlexConnect AP.
In downstream traffic, VLAN ACL is applied first and then the client ACL is applied. In upstream traffic, the client ACL is applied first and then the VLAN ACL is applied.
There are some other limitations when using FlexConnect that you should be aware about.

If you are using Active Directory I would recommend against using LDAP because there are more features when using the native AD integration. If you not using AD then the issue with the Secure LDAP is probably related to the CA certificate not being installed correctly.

You didn't mention but do you also wish to install the database(8i) on the same machine ?
I am also trying to install all these products(+8i and designer 6i) on the same box but I am concerned more about the min. resources needed before I get started.(I put up a question about it on the 6i Forum, but nobody has answered yet !)
The correct install order should be Forms/Reports 6i then Forms/Reports 6i Server and then WebDb 2.2.
Forms /reports server needs a http listener and installs en configures the WebDb listener for the job.(you are prompted for this during tho have the install process).This is handy if you are intending to use WebDb anyway. When you install Webdb it detects the already installed WebDb listener and does not reinstall.
You do have the SYS password on the database you will use to stored the WDK and WebDb schema.
About installing the demo.....
I dont' think there are any special issues.I have never done it.
If you are intending to install an 8i database on the same box there are some important things to consider with respect to the install order and what products in which Oracle home must be installed.
1.Forms/Reports first in the default_oracle
home.
2.Then Oracle 8i in a 2nd oracle home call
it ora81 for example.
3.Then WebDb in the non oracle 8i home !!
This is just a quick summary.

OIM - SOA 11g R1 Integration Issue

Hi ,
I am facing an integration issue in my newly set up Dev environment .
We have single node OIM and SOA environment . I was executing the basic connectivity checks to ensure that the environment is good and ready for use .
When I ran the SOA-OIM Configuration test (http://i.tinyuploads.com/M1zyaP.jpg ) in the environment from Diagnostic Dashboard, it failed .
I have verified the URLs from EM and also in MDS (in oim-config.xml) file . All entries seem to be there , not sure why its failing ? Any pointers ??
I have checked the rmi and soap urls here Application Defined MBeans ->oracle.iam->Server (OIM ServerName)->Application:oim->XML Config->Config->XMLConfig.SOAConfig->SOAConfig and they looked perfectly fine .
Any clues ??

did you tried accessing the oim and soa urls:
1. http://<hostname>:<port>/oim (login with xelsysadm user)
2. http://<hostname>:<port>/soa-infra (login with weblogic user)
Are you able to login to both urls.

Photoshop Fill - A major integration issue?

For the first time in a production environment, I was ready
to use FW CS3 to slice and dice a colleague's PSD. I opened it in
Photoshop and then in Fireworks for comparison - the two looked
nothing alike.
This particular colleague likes to take advantage of PS's
Fill setting (as opposed to opacity and I can understand why in
certain situations) - but Fireworks has no understanding of this
Fill concept so every layer that uses it is darker in FW. So what's
a guy to do?
Is this a known integration issue? Will there be a solution
for CS4? Can I wait that long? Is it ever really worth trying to
open a PSD in Fireworks?
I'm more than a little disappointed...

I haven't tried this yet, but here's a thought:
PS is layer based, FW is object bases. As a result, in FW you
can
control the opacity of layers AND objects. Is it similar
enough to
Photoshop's Fill and Opacity in a layer? Maybe adjusting the
opacity of
the object will get you what you need? It might impact the
stroke on the
object, but you could possibly duplicate the object and
remove/mask it's
fill, so the solid stroke remains.
It's a workaround, and a bit more work, but it might solve
the problem
for now.

Lync 2013 Outlook Integration Issues

I have a client that is having Exchange Outlook Integration issues when trying to set up Lync 2013.
The email address is [email protected] The sip address is
[email protected] But the Lync server is lync.domain.local. Client is on Exchange 2010.
The address book is not downloading and the outlook integration issue error icon appears on the bottom right.
If the client is set manually to [email protected] the address book downloads.
But can Lync work in the long run set up like this?

Cisco WLC ISE integration issue

Dear all,
We have wlc 5508 and ISE integration, out wireless clients can connect to Guest or Corporate SSID
When connecting to Corporate SSID, they can obtain IP address and successfully associate, to use internal service like (email, corporate service and etc) user need to download Airwatch agent and etc, but initially he can use ONLY internet connection, so the issue is client randomly reassociate, downtime of client less than a second, for example Android phone shows that periodically it disconnecting and reasociating again to SSID, i dont know if it is bug or some timers need to be configured, any ideas ?

There is no problem with non-802.1x SSID
The problem is on ISE timers ?

ISE and MS Active Directory Integration Issue

It appears that our ISE 1.2 solution is having issues with nested MS AD Groups. The first login attempt always fails, the second occasionally works and the third always works. Has anyone else experience this login issues with ISE 1.2 and MS AD?

I am a little lost in the screenshots you posted. In your AD groups that you have pulled I dont see an authorization policy mapped to the first group. In the authentication report it looks like authentication is successfull.
I have seen that ISE will only display a few of the groups now in ISE 1.2 can you build a policy based on the the group you want it to show and then try your authentication again? That is when ISE will show the specific group as opposed to ise pre 1.2 where it would show more groups.

WLC, ISE certificate authentication issue

Hi Folks,
This is the setup:
Redundant pair of WLC 5508 (version 7.5.102.0)
Redundant Pair of ISE (Version 1.2.0.899)
     The ISE servers are connected to the corporate Active Directory (the AD servers are configured as external identity sources)
     There is a rule based authentication profile which queries the AD identity source when it receives wireless 802.1x authentication requests.
A corporate WLAN is configured on the WLC:
L2 security WPA+WPA2 (AES Encryption), ISE server 1 and 2 configured as the AAA Authentication servers.
This is all working correctly - I associate to the Corp WLAN (Authentication WPA2 enterprise, encryption AES CCMP, 802.1x auth MS-CHAPv2 using AD credentials) ... I can see the authentication request being processed correctly by the ISE, and I get access to the network.
The client I am working for wants to restrict access to the WLAN to users who have been allocated a certificate from the corporate CA, and this is where I am having issues.
I took a test laptop, and requested a new certificate (mmc, add snapin, certificates, current user, personal, request new cert).
The cert that was issued was signed only by a Corporate AD server with CA services (there is nothing in the certification path above the cert I was issued, apart from the issuing server itself).   I changed the security settings of my connection to the corp wlan (using TLS instead of mschapv2, and pointing to the certificate I requested)
Initally authentication failed because the ISE did not trust the CA that provided my certificate (the ISE radius authentication troubleshooting tool had this entry: '12514 EAP-TLS failed SSL/TLS handshake because of an unknown CA in the client certificates chain').
I exported the issuing CA's root certificate (followed this process http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555252), and imported the cert into ISE (administration, system, certificates, certificate store, import) - status of the cert is enabled, and it is trusted for client auth.
After I did this, I could no longer associate to the Corp WLAN.
My laptop's wireless management software logs were filled with messages saying that the authentication server did not respond.
The ISE troubleshooting tool reported no new failed or successful authentication attempts.
Strangely though, the WLC log had a lot of entries like this: 'AAA Authentication Failure for UserName:host/laptop_asset_tag.corp.com User Type: WLAN USER'.
It looks like the WLC is trying to locally authenticate my session when I use TLS, rather than hand off the authentication request to the ISE.    Other users who authenticate using their AD credentials only (as I described above) can still authenticate ok.
Anyone able to shed some light on where I have gone wrong or what additional troubleshooting I can do?

Hi,
I had the same issue with microsoft CA and running ISE 1.1.4. The CA file was "corrupted", but you didn't see it at first glance. You can verify if the client CA matches the root CA via openssl.
Try to export the root CA and the issuing CA in a different format (Base64), import both root and issuing into ise and check if that works. Also check if "Trust for client authentication or Secure Syslog services" in the Certificate Store -> CA -> Edit, is set.
If this does not work, try to import the CA into another system and export it, then import into ISE.

ISE 1.2 issue with CWA (Error : Your session has expired)

we have ISE deployment with two administration nodes and two service policy nodes running 1.2.1.198 , with CWA for wireless guest users (Cisco WLC) . Suddenly , many guest users faced an issue where login page is redirected but after inserting user/password it gave ""Your session has expired. Sign on again""
authentication logs on ISE shows:
Event 5418 Guest Authentication Failed
Failure Reason 86017 Session Missing
Resolution Please contact your Administrator
Root cause SessionID is missing. Please contact your System Administrator
we suspected the bug CSCul10677 , but it is fixed in 1.2.1.198 . We reloaded the two service policy nodes and that resolved the issue temporarily , but it showed back after couple of hours . The issue appeared with some users not all , and with no specific devies or operating systems.

Workaround:
Terminate session from admin UI and type in the original URL to redirect to guest portal with a new session-id.
Disconnect SSID, wait for a few minutes, reconnect and enter the original URL to redirect to guest portal with the new session-id.

ISE / Active Directory: issue to get users group

We have a strange issue:
- ISE 1.2 patch 8
- no WLC, autonomous AP
In authentication, we check Wireless IEEE 802.11 (radius) and cisco-av-pair (ssid), then we use AD.
We have 3 SSIDs, so 3 rules, one DATA, one GUEST, one for TOIP.
In one more rules to grant authentication from APs to register in WDS: user in local database.
In authorization, we check cisco-av-pair (ssid) and AD user group, then we permit access.
(so 3 rules), and one more to authorise the internal base for WDS.
We have something strange:
- sometimes users can connect but later they can't: in the logs, the authorization rejects the user because the AD Group is not seen.

OAF-UCM integration - Issue in deploying RIDC.jar to EBS server

Hi ,
We are doing OAF-UCM integration with followng business scenario and need your help urgently.
Business Scenario :
We have custom OAF pages with OA train and and in one train link we have added 'managed attachment' button to open UCM page to add documents to DM server .
We are successfully able to do integration of OAF to UCM , that is we are able to open UCM page on clicking Managed attachment button.Business agreed that OAF and UCM are two different applications so after transaction is completed in UCM, at OAF we have refresh button which user has to clicked explicitly to pull document metadata ( lilke PDF URL etc) to OAF pages.
This is data needs to stored in EBS tables as well , to achive the same we are using RIDC mechanism to PULL the data stored corresponding on 1 unique metadata.
I m successfully able to integrate the PULL( Sychnonizaton) of data on click on refersh button of OAF page. RIDC ( UCM version 11g) is correctly configured in Jdev10g and working fine on local oc4j server,
Problem :
When this RIDC is jar is deployed in EBS server I m getting following error -

We have added RIDC jar(actual physical path is =/APPS/XXXXXXX/common/java/) file name in jserv.properties and also added in CLASS PATH

Ok, Figured out the issue,
Values in the OAF_AXF_CMD_PARAMS table was not matching with the actual attributes on the OAF pages. The four values
Entity Name, Primary Key, View Object and Attributes are to be entered for each page where we are intending to have the MA button.

Document Integration Issue

Hi All,
In one of my reports, i'm trying the Document Integration for Master Data.
While creating new Document, i have selected 'Mime Type' as 'text/plian'.
On the execution of the query, it is showing the Display Document symbol.
But when i'm trying to display the document (from the context menu, GoTo -> Display Documents), a new browser window is displaying with a the message "The cannot be displayed".
This is the first time i'm working with the 'Document Integration', So , i donot know wether it opens in a new window. Pls let me know...
If it is so, then is the meaning of 'Mime Type' as 'text/plian'.

When I try to “create” a callout in the designer-->callouts I can provide the name for the callout, the callout JAR is found, but the method drop-down does not show my method so I can’t actually create the calloutI think you mean that "Implementation Class" drop-down is not listing your class name. Your code seems correct so probably issue may be in the jar packing. Can you please mail across your jar to me? Would like to check it once.
