Issue in Archiving

Dear Friends,
When the archive group is created, I can not figure out how to use the "from" date in personnel number assignment in PU22. Notice the "Person Selection" period low value date is greyed out and can not be changed. The "to" date defaults from the archive group definition. That's OK. For higher volume jobs, we will definitely need to use a start and end date in some variants.

Kumar

HI,
ADK-based archiving relies on two main elements, which are used for the development and administration of archiving solutions: Archive Development Kit (ADK) and Archive Administration (transaction SARA).
ADK and SARA are part of the standard SAP Web Application Server. ADK is the Application Programming Interface used by the applications to develop archiving solutions, while Archive Administration (transaction SARA) is used mainly by data archiving administrators to manage all tasks related to data archiving, including job scheduling and management, writing, reading and deletion of data, as well as Customizing.

  • Issue with archiving (opentext) of adobe forms

    Hi ,
We have an issue with archiving (open text) of adobe forms. When unfinished processes are restarted using Tcode /OTEI/PF_RESTART empty forms without data are archived. We are checking these forms using Tcode J6NY. PDF form is stored but data entered while processing the forms in portal is missing.

  • Issue with Archiving printlist

    Hello,
On one of our Production system, we have an issue for archiving printlist.
We are using option Print immediatly, Print only on a specific output linked archive process with a specific doc. type.
We ahave checked as well the content repository which seems correctly configures.
We are using opentext solution successfully on others systems to do the same and customizing seems equivalent on both systems, and we are not able to find the reason why it is not working.
Spool is considered as " Transferred by Command to the Host Spool" but not completed and we have nothing on dedicated archived directory.
Did anyone already faced to that message ?
    best regards
    P. alexandre

The result is identical, I got two lines in SP02 :
One for archiving with same status and message and another one status"completed"  because it has been printed
I imagine that the message "transferrred by command to the hist spool" is corresponding to a missing customizing to go on further...
    EDIT
The archived printlist is generated on the shared directory but not visible as archived file. A link seems to miss between SAP and Opentext server : the issue is more on opentext side....

  • Issue with Archiving & Deletion of messages in PI ,SXMB_MONI messages

    Hello experts
I am  working on Archiving & Deletion of messages in PI ,SXMB_MONI, i have fallowed all the steps which are avialable in /people/deepak.shah/blog/2010/04/22/archiving-deletion-of-messages-in-pi--part-2, but the messages still there in SXMB_MONI.
please help me to resolve this issue.
    regards
    chandra

    Hi Krish
    i have fallowed steps like....
    in SXMB_ADM
    >>>step 1: Define the interface for archivng and retnetion period
    >>>step2):Schedule Archive Jobs,
after this i have checked the in SM37 the jobs got sheduled and released after that it showing finished.
    >>>step3):ARV_BC_XMB_WRP<date> (archiving, step 1)
    ARV_BC_XMB_DEL<date> (archiving, step 2)
here i am getting message like "0 XML messages got archived".
    "0 XML message for deleated".
I have doubt in SXMBPMAST  table here when i check the status of interface , ITFACTION field is containing the value INIT and if I understood correctly it job deletes only those messages where ITFACTION is set to DEL.
We are actually trying to delete the messages avoiding archiving but what I am seeing is we cannot delete error messages and for them we must have to go through archiving. Please correct me if I am wrong.
    Thanks
    Chandra

  • Issue with archiving in file sender channel

    Hi Experts,
We have configured a file to  ABAP proxy scenario in our production PI  7.0 system. the  file sender  communication  channel  is configured to perform " file content conversion"    and archive the  source file  after it is processed successfully.
Recently , the sender channel stopped archiving the files.  but it is processing them.
we need the source files to be archived.  i do not see any  related error  in XI logs and default trace files . also it is not a problem with disk space on file system either.
can you please let me know  how the issue can be resolved.
    Thanks.
    -Kaushik

    Hi
Make sure that you have selected processing mode Archive
Try by Checking Add Time stamp  check box.
Check the Archive File path in correct format
or put archive file in diffrent folder from which selecting file.

  • Issues while archiving Invoice documents

    Hi all,
While archiving Invoice documents using MM_REBEL(using company code only), it was found that the write job is picking up certain open Invoices also. ie the subsequent Accounting document was not cleared/archived.
My understanding was the system will check for retention periods and whether the subsequent documents are archived or not.
I just wanted to know if there are any extra checks , which it looks for , as the criterion for archiveablility.
Please let me know if anyone knows about this or if any of you have faced similar issues .
    Regards,
    Shail.

    hi,
    Dependencies
The status of the document determines whether it can be archived:
    ·        Documents with the status Closed or Deleted can be archived.
    ·        Documents with the status Unchecked, Checked and Errors Found, or Checked and No Errors Found cannot be archived.
Financial accounting documents generated when invoice documents are posted are not archived with the object MM_REBEL. They are archived in Financial Accounting.
Residence Time/Retention Period of Data in the System
The retention period for invoice documents can be configured in the Customizing system. The posting date contained in the invoice document header is the key date for the retention period.
If a retention period has not been set in Customizing, the system takes the minimum retention period as 9999 days.
    Presettings
In Customizing for Invoice Verification you can set the retention period for invoice documents per company code under Define Document Lives.
    Hope it helps..

  • Issue in Archive Deletion

    Hi All,
We have performed archiving in Production system for one DSO in multiple sessions. Multiple files were created for an entire year of data which has been archived.
The status of the archive sessions are showing as ''Write Complete''
Now the issue is whenever we try to execute the deletion program we are not able to select the individual session. I know that once you complete the write activity you can select a session to perform the deletion from the active table of the DSO. This deletion job is similar to the selective deletion which we perform normally.
Our problem is that we are not able to select any of the sessions (the checkbox is not visible ). Has anyone faced any similar kind of issue before.
Please let us know you thoughts...

    check if below is useful.

  • Archive Complete, but delete job not scheduled. Issue with Archives now

As someone tried at work to schedule archive/delete process, we are finding issues now.
We have job scheduled for Archive but not delete. The job is archiving the messages, Meanwhile because of the growing disk space, folks deleted the archive files.
Now Archive is Complete, but with out Deletion.
So how do we start from scratch again
Also if I understood correctly after deleting the infostructure the session goes into error/red light since we can no longer build the related data from the archives due to the missing infostructures right?

    Dear friend of XI,
I fully understand the issue; sure you cannot use RSXMB_DELETE_ARCHIVED_MESSAGES as the archive files have been deleted.
Tha paradigma of archving is that once the write phase is complete the deletion phse must complete at any rate. As this is impossible for the deleted archive files there is no way in the standard to erase the incomplete archive runs from management overview in SARA. In case you would like to clear the entries in SARA please open an OSS message such that SAP can take a look into the affected system and evaluate an individual solution for you.
irrespective of whether you clear the management entries in SARA you can simply run another archive session. Please note that the interfaces action (field ITFACTION) reflects the action to be taken for an indivirual message. It does not depict a state, in particular it does not mean that the message has been archived already. The interface action is determined right when the mesage enters the Integration Server. Contrary, the information on whether the message has been archived alteady (or still needs to) is stored in a different statuis field.
    Best regards,

  • IMAP Issue connecting Archiver to Post Office

I am running a GroupWise 8 sp2 hp2 system. I am trying to connect our new Barracuda Message archiver to all of my 30 post offices. Most run on Windows 2003 servers, but I have to that run on Linux. One is SLES 10 sp4, the other is SLES 11 sp 1. The one on 11 connects to the message archiver correct, as well as all 28 windows server post offices. The one that I have on the sles 10 box doesn't . This box also runs my primary domain, and gwia and webaccess on it. The msg archiver uses imap an soap to connect to the poa. All are turned on the poa. IMAP is not running on the gwia located on the box, so it shouldn't be a conflict. When I try to connect to the poa from the message archiver I see the following message in the poa log:
10:16:41 016 New IMAP session initiated from ::ffff:10.2.1.124
    10:16:41 016 Return from IMAP [890F]
10.2.1.124 is the address of the message archiver. Any ideas on what could be causing this issue?

This is what I see with the poa being in diagnostic mode:

  • Issues with Archiving object MM_EKKO

    Hi,
I am trying to archive few Purchasing documents on R3 4.7, The archiving write job fails with the error
"There is no entry for instance 000000000096197571 in either INOB or IBase"
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Deepak

If people need to look/work with archived data, then you need the infostructures, except you use the archive add-ons from PBS  ( http://www.pbs-software.com/PBS-Startseite.1.0.html?&L=1 ) which allow you do see archive data by using the well-known SAP transactions, without the need of space-consuming SAP infostructures.
I try my best to avoid infostructures, means I archive data that is no needed for business, not needed to be looked up often.  (developing infostructure or even programs to analyse data that was archived early is more expensiv than the costs of the disk space, at least in our branch)
But if an infostructure is given by SAP, then you can activate (fill it) or deactivate (delete content) within a few seconds with tiny effort. So I do it in rare cases if somebody needs to see archived data.

anybody an idea how to properly (re-)instal the spell check so that my OS recognizes it?

Check tcode CUTABLEINFO and insert the instance number you have into the Instance(CUOBJ) field.
Be sure to check at the very least at the bottom of the screen the check boxes for IBINOBS and IBINOWN.
The owner of the configuration is the object that originated the instance.
An observer of the instance is simply an object that needed a copy of the characteristic values in the instance. If any transaction can find your instance's owner, it's this one.
    Or
You can also refer SAP 1470060 - Error CX 074 (There is no entry for instance XXX in either INOB or IBase)
    Hope it can assist you.

  • Issue with Archiving

    Hi All,
The redo logs in the directory log_dir are not automatically archived to lod_archive
as a consequence, the log_dir is getting filled upto 100%..
how can I resolve this situation... please help
    thanks in advance,
    Raj

You can do this by setting the database configuration parameter LOGARCHMETH1 to some valid value.  See the DB2 documentation for that.
Once that parameter has been set, you will be required to take an OFFLINE database backup.  From that point going forward, once a DB2 log fills it will be archived to the location specified in LOGARCHMETH1.  You will still need to manage the location of LOGARCHMETH1 if you specifiy DISK.
    Hope this helps.
