Issue in downloading attachment in syclo WM 6.0

Hi All,
We are facing the issue in downloading the work order attachment using on-demand push concept. In our case, whenever you request for download, the concerned XML is generated, but we don't know whether it is received by agentry or not. At the same time, it is not showing any error in logs(both Java and SAP).
Also, we excuted the program /SYCLO/CORE_OTRIG_RETRY_PROG., to manually trigger XML. After executing, it trigger all outbound XML's and sending it to the corresponding IP's and at last line it is displaying that
Info: HTTP connections are closed for the server <sever-name>.
After that, there is no steps are involving to proceed further. Kindly help us in fixing the issue.

Issue while downloading the attachment - MessageDownload

Hi,
I am facing an issue with messageDownload feature.
For downloading the attachments I am using messageDownload item style. But when I click on the attachment (pdf), adobe reader is opening with the below error.
Adobe reader could not open 'xxx.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged.
I am getting the attachment from OM, I verified from OM it is not damaged.
I have set all the required properties for messagedownload like datatype-BLOB,viewattribute-filename,file viewattribute-mediaid.
Also the version for Internet Explorer is 7.0 and Adobe Reader is 7.0.
Could any one please help me out from this issue.

Whats the version of OAF you are using? If its 12.0.2 or 12.0.3, I believe there were some issues with PDF attachment. This should be working fine 12.0.4 onwards if you are hitting the same issue I faced.

Filed messages issue, could not download attachment

My Z10 seems to be having major issues downloading attachment from my Exchange account when there's a rule (client-side rule) that files this away. My Z10 is set to show filed messages and to sync this folder so it does come through, but I can't download the attachments (txt files).
If I forward the email to me to bypass the rule (via WebApp), I have no issues downloading the attachment.
In general, it seems as though I'm getting iffy support for filed messages (Gmail, via IMAP, doesn't alert on emails that bypass Inbox and are filed, but that folder/label is set to sync too).
Anyone have any ideas or am I just running into some bugs?

Lion Mail Downloadable Attachment

Hello,
My son set up my e-mail through Apple Mail on Lion.
I am attempting to send an image as a Downloadable Attachment.
I have it set to "windows friendly mode".
I changed my preferences from rich text to plain text.
I have right clicked the image and hit "view as icon".
It is still not a downloadable attachment.
Any ideas???

They are being sent to the All Mail folder. The inbox is pretty much unaffected.
I don't want to hide the All Mail folder and forget about it. I am after the messages gone forever. Especially from the All Mail folder.
I'm the kind of person who uses email like sms. I use it to contact people annd delete 95% of the messages after reading. I don't want them archived. I don't want them stored in the All Mail folder. I want them totally gone.
And yes it seems Mail is downloading all my messages over and over. So my question is how to stop the messages being stored/archived and to instead be totally deleted.
In the gmail settings I found:
Auto-Expunge off - Wait for the client to update the server.
When a message is marked as deleted and expunged from the last visible IMAP folder: Immediately delete the message forever. Instead of archiving it like I had set before. I'm not 100% sure if that'll fix the issue I am having. I'm sure you'll be able to tell me if I am on the right track.

Download attachment in Mail application is super slow

Whenever I download attachment from an email in Mail application, it super slow. It's 10 times slower than when I download the same attachment from Safari. So it means not because of the internet speed.
I don't know you guys have the same problem like me.
And another quesion, can we configure Mail app to automatically download attachment. Now everytime I receive an email, I have to open email and click on attachment to download it. It waste time to sit there and wait.

I have the exact same problem. 10 times slower download of attachements than if I simply login to webmail and download that way.
Anyone know a solution?

In order to troubleshoot, it would help to know what happens when you try, and also what kind of file you are trying to access.
Note that files attached to e-mails may cause problems if they are not recognised file types.

N8 can´t download attached files

I hope you can help me out. I have configured my 2 mail accounts (gmail and hotmail) on my new N8. I can properly read mails, but i can´t download most of the attached files to mails. I get an error "error downloading attached file nameoffile ".
As i said, some files do download while others do not.
Please, i need a hand as attached files are very important for my job.

Hi you need to add the settings manually - no matter what you specify whilst you use the email set up wizard it will not download attachments unless you are within your home wlan
and each time you try to re run the wizard it will always use the same settings
I found the only way was to back up the phone using ovi suite
then *#7370#
onc eht ephone has reset you have to re enter the email info - when it asks you to accept the terms and conditions - say no
you will now get the option to enter the settings manaully
there are quite a few sub menus to navigate through but i f you are patient you will find them all
if you find the one about down loading 50 mails limit - you can back space out the 50 and enter 999
another menu alllows you to download attachments-- default is none lol
another menu allows you to check for mails fromevery 2 minutes to 5 days
once i had set up one account doing the others was easy and i get all my mail with attachements very nicely now

Urgent - download attachment like hotmail does?!

in javamail how to download a attachment?
i plan to
first: get the multipart from the message, and get the inputstream instance of it
sencond: make a new file,get the outputstream of it then wirte to the new file.
but i think in most mail services, people can rename the attachment file and then save it in the local disk as hotmail does.
how to implement that: a link which show the attachment's name( i can do this) then click to the link, a file dialog will pop up and user can save the file by whatever name.( i have no idea about it) then make the new file and save it( i can do this)
so any suggestion will be welcome. and thanks your help first.

How to download attachment file from server to the user's client ?
I mean what i want to do is -
i show file name as hyperlink . Now when user clicks on the filename's link , the save file dialog should open and when user clicks on save button in file-dialog, the file should be saved on local disk.

Video Playback Issues after Downloading iTunes 10.4.1 & Quicktime

After downloading v. 10.4.1, video playback framerate is terrible. Voices are choppy & out of sync with dialogue. The music wasn't necessarily affected but, can here slight distortion. This hasn't been an issue until downloading the latest software version. Then iTunes crashes. Am I the only one this is happening to?

Opening a downloaded attachment

suddenly I am unable to open a downloaded attachment: must have done something to cause it, maybe changed the way they are opened? I did 'command + i', selected 'preview', and it still doesn't open. What did I do wrong, and can u suggest how to fix this?

Are we talking about a mail attachment? Something in a browser window? If so, which browser? Something through Apple Mail? What does the file say at the end (kind of file)?

can I set up e-mail to automatically download attached files from a trusted source to a desktop folder? Can't find the option (if one exists) in "Rules."

Have you checked Mail > Preferences > General > Downloads folder - change that to desktop. That should do it (that is my setting and it works here).
