Issue in getting user when Forms 6i is embedded in Portal
Hi,
For a portal project , we are embedding Forms 6i with the portal.
portal30.wwctx_api.get_user function is used to get the user from the session.However Forms is not able to get this and returns 'PUBLIC' .
I guess Forms creates its own new session even when embedded in Portal. Any idea of how to retrieve the user logged in to Portal??

Regarding point (b) You should be using the java.net.URLEncoder to encode URL parameters, not a base64 encoder.

Radio button getting unchecked when form in query mode
There are 4 radio buttons on my form.Initially when the form is opened one radio button is checked.But when the form is in query mode that radio button got unchecked.Is there any way that the initial checked radio button remains checked even the form is in query mode ?

Solutions given by Kevin and Zaibiman is not applicable for my form as the radio button will be in data base block only.This is the requirement of the form.
The other solution given by Zaibiman was to set the radio button item when entered in query mode , i have tried that but that is also not working.
Pranati,the solution given by you i have also tried that ,but that has not solved the issue,Radio button get unchecked when eneterd in query mode.

How URL is assigned to different users when forms apps is launched?
when i open my forms application, which is developed in forms 10g
it first opens a browser which will have URL like below given one:
https://app.company_name.com:1234/forms/frmservlet?form=first_form.fmx&otherparams=connectRow%3SAASZgPFFAGAAAgXVAAA
then it opens the application.
when i close the form, this web browser also get closed or vice versa.
again when i open forms application, it opens web browser with below URL which is different from above one and then forms application

you can see difference in AAgXVAAA and AAgXVAAB in the URL

few end users got this issue. their application was hung up and when they again opened the application, they logged in as other person.
to replicate the issue , i played trial and error and i could log in as other person when i changed URL .
does single sign on helps in solving this issue? does single sign on works only when i enter login id and password??
because in my case i didnt give any login , i directly gave the URL in browser and hit enter which opened application with other employees name.
i saw formconfig file which had single sign on as false for some setting. i think this is creating problem as SSO is used for authentication.

Special character are getting overlap when form is trigger from WEB UI
Hi Everyone,
I am facing one problem in WEB UI CRM Version 2007 when using the Smartform in Web UI. Form is Translated in two languages EN and ES. Form gets triggered through action; when triggered in SAP GUI (CRMD_ORDER) it gets displayed properly in both the languages.
But When i trigger the form from WEB UI in ES (Spanish) language, using Print Preview Button some of the special characters such as
É are getting overlapped like shown in attachment.
Please let me know if anybody has faced such issue or Has any resolution for this.

Yes that's a problem for Cyrillic fonts , I suppose you are using two action definitions : one for ES and one for EN print.
For Spanish you have to use a smart style which supports the ISO Cyrillic characters and that will then open up correctly for Spanish users.

- no WLC, autonomous AP
In authentication, we check Wireless IEEE 802.11 (radius) and cisco-av-pair (ssid), then we use AD.
We have 3 SSIDs, so 3 rules, one DATA, one GUEST, one for TOIP.
In one more rules to grant authentication from APs to register in WDS: user in local database.
In authorization, we check cisco-av-pair (ssid) and AD user group, then we permit access.
(so 3 rules), and one more to authorise the internal base for WDS.
We have something strange:
- sometimes users can connect but later they can't: in the logs, the authorization rejects the user because the AD Group is not seen.

Currently using Flash Pro CS5, getting error when trying to open CS4 file. Error is "Slides and Forms documents are not supported in this version of Flash. Please open in previous version. Has there been a fix or patch to this issue or do I have to convert back to CS4 to open the file?
Having the same problem in CS6. I can tell you that converting back to CS4 will NOT solve the problem. It seems when support for backward compatibility is discontinued, there's just no way to get

Button view changes when form is rendered by some users
The Delete button on this form is set to "Visible Screen Only", but changes to "Visible" (and therefore prints) for some users. The other buttons do not have this issue.
For those same users, when they open the form, they get the yellow bar across the top saying that Javascript is not enabled. Each of them have several times chosen to "enable always", but will get the same message the next time they open the form.
I requested that each of them update their Reader, but they are still having the same issue.
While this is fairly minor, it is very annoying and I am out of ideas.

How do you resolve an issue when creating groups on a Mac Mini Server when this error message appears.
"Unable to get Users & Groups State, The Open Directory master was created, but a problem was encountered trying to refresh the state of the server. Check log files for more info."Most likely, the Server was not configured correctly - DNS is a common issue, If DNS is not configured properly, OD will not be happy. You can run
sudo changeip -checkhostname
in Terminal to see of DNS is up and running.

I keep getting ' user not register for online ' when trying to get track names for my CD imports for Windows 7 and I'm unable to find a solution.
I can't be certain exactly which steps are going to be needed in each case, but if you work through this in sequence hopefully one of the steps will prove effective.
First try this:
With iTunes closed.
Press the WinLogoKey+R
Type in %appdata% and press return
Double click on Apple Computer
Double click on iTunes
Delete the file CD Info.cidb
Start iTunes and try again.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and try deleting com.apple.iTunes.Gracenote.plist in the same folder.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and try deleting iTunesPrefs.xml. This will reset your some of your preferences in iTunes so be sure to check them and reset as required.
If that still hasn't resolved things close iTunes and try deleting the entire %appdata%\Apple Computer folder or look for parallel files/folders in the C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local or C:\Users\<User>\AppData\LocalLow in case a corrupt file is persisting there.
Note that any iOS device backups are stored in the MobileSync folder within Apple Computer. Once things are working you should backup your devices again as soon as possible.
Or it might not be the preference files after all...

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

I lost an xcel doc a couple of days ago. Tried to find the Library folder in Users but not there when I use Finder (even when I do shift-command-G). But when trying to upload a photo in iphoto I found the library folder in Users. I can see my doc in Office 2011 Autorecovery, but can't access it! How do I get User to show Library then I can get to my long lost document?
The auto recovery dat should be in the Microsoft User Data folder in your documents folder, not in the Library. However, I Haven't had to look recently.

I have been having a issue with getting the colors on my monitor to match the colors fro my print lab. I now have the monitor calibrated to match the prints but when I open elements it doesn't use the same colors. If i have it use the calibrated profile by changing the color management settings, the color picker no longer shows true white or black. How do I get elements 12 to honor the new calibrated settings?

I don't know that these are the errors , but they're the things which don't look right ...
Throughout the shut down there is a recurring line ;
It says ;

Then there are 2 more which I think are related ;
Com.apple.securityd 29 PID job has I overstayed its welcome , forcing removal.
Then the same with fseventd 48 and diskarbitrationd 13
Oh and on Launchd1 : System : stray anonymous job at shut down : PID 301 PPID13 PGID 13 unmount...
Then the last process says "about to call: reboot (RB_AUTOBOOT).
Continuing...
And stops ...

If you had iCloud backup turned on, and it made a backup - yes. If you didn't have iCloud backup turned on - but were using iCloud for Contacts, calendars, etc. You will get the contacts and calendars, etc back.
Purchases made with your appleID can be redownloaded as long as they are still available in the iTunes store.
If you connected your phone to a computer with iTunes, there may be a backup on there as well. -

Has anyone heard back from Apple on this bug ?Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device. -
How to get user input to keep in array in the form of int[]?
I really want to know how to get user input to keep in an array. Or if it's impossible, can i use the value in "int" and transfer it to an array?
What I understand is that you want to set an input from the user in an array of int.
Here is how it work:
1. Create a stream and a buffer to get and store the informations entered by the user:
BufferedReader stdin = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
2. Set this input in a String:
String input = stdin.readLine();
3. Set this string in an int:
int userInput = Integer.parseInt(input);
4. Then you can put this int in the array.
Warning this code throws IOExceptions and NumberFormatException ( when you try to set letters as int ). But you can catch them easily.
