Issue in Proxy service call

Hi,
The proxy service is getting called twice for invalid input. Its working fine for valid input. The logic i used is,checking the input file and calling an raise error action in case of validation fails.I gave retry count to 0.Is it possible to stop the whole proxy in error handler?

Hi,
Got your issue now.
There is no problem with your service configuration. Changes required at server level. Let me explain this
Instantiation is happening because of transactional & retries configuration, but when you are using reply action in error handler you are actually completing the transaction by sending reply. The error I suspect is to be effect of redelivery-limit=1.
eg in xbusResources-jms.xml in your domain config
<queue name="wlsb.internal.transport.task.queue.file">
<sub-deployment-name>wlsbJMSServer</sub-deployment-name>
<delivery-failure-params>
<redelivery-limit>1</redelivery-limit>
</delivery-failure-params>
<jndi-name>wlsb.internal.transport.task.queue.file</jndi-name>
</queue>
Follow the below steps
On Weblogic Admin Console go to
Services > Messaging > JMS Modules
See if you can find a module called "jmsResources"
In jmsResources configuration check for ... wlsb.internal.transport.task.queue.file
There go to Delivery Failure tab. The Redelivery Limit must be 1 there.
Change it to 0.

Durga

  • OSB proxy service Calling OSB proxy service from BPEL

    Dear team,
Wehave a requirement to call a Wsdl based OSB proxy service with sb protocol from SOA Composite from BPEL process.
We created a wsdl based OSB proxyservice with sb protocol and deployed to OSB development server.
We tried to export the wsdl and corresponding xsd files. sbconfig.jar got created.
When we extracted the sbconfig file and placed the wsdl and xsd into the SOA composite.
When we are trying to create a partnerlink, that OSB proxy service wsdl is not showing up.
    Please suggest.
How to call OSB proxy service from BPEL..

    Hi,
Here either you need to change the protocol from 'sb' to http or use the Direct Binding in soa-composite.

  • Osb proxy service calling other proxy services

    hi
I'm new to the oracle service bus and i need some help
i created 3 proxy services and i need to create one proxy service that call the other proxy services and return the output of these proxy services in one response message
please help me in that problem. it'll be helpful to show me example
    thanks in advanced

bear in mind that all exchanges amongst services are done by writing /reading the $body variable.
The easiest way to produce a valid $body is to start from the preexisting $body and use the action
    replace <yourPayloadHere/> in variable $body
using the option "replace node content"
If you want to store a response from a service for later reuse:
    assign $body/* to myvariable

    2. Created RFC Destination Type "H" giving the web service path
path : /sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/ZBAPI_FLIGHT_GETLIST_WSD host & http port number.
    3. created Logical port using LPCONFIG adn provided the RFC destination.
    4. created service call from abap dynpro by using third option "web service proxy"
then selected the proxy generated above.

  • How to call a ALSB Proxy Service and don't wait for his response. Publish M

    Hi,
I have a Proxy Service called PS1 that will invoke and another Proxy service Called PS_ProcessingNode that invokes 10 differents webservices during the orchestration and takes about 2 minuts.
I would like that if invoke PS1 that will invokes PS_ProcessingNode (asyncronously) and immediatly PS1 will return "OK" (don't wait for the response of PS_ProcessingNode) .
For simulate this scenario I am testing with:
    - PS_Processing is a WSDL without response that has a JavaCallout with a Sleeper of 10 seconds.
    - PS invokes with "Publish action" to PS_ProcessingNode but is waiting for PS_Processsing finish. I don't want this beahivour.
How I can do it for PS doesn't wait for the response of the PS_ProcessingNode?
    Thanks.

    - PS invokes with "Publish action" to PS_ProcessingNode but is waiting for PS_Processsing finish. I don't want this behavior.
I'm glad you have a solution using JMS. But still Publish action should not wait for response. If you are seeing that behavior, you can contact Support with an SR to get it fixed.

I received a workaround by an internal message.
The how to guide is :
-Download the wsdl file (with bindings, not the one from ESR)
-Correct it in order that the schema corresponds to the answer (remove minOccurs or other things like this)
-Deploy the wsdl file on you a server (java web project for exemple). you can deploy on your local
-Create a new logicial destination that point to the wsdl file modified
-Change the metadata destination in your web dynpro project for the corresponding model and keep the execution desitnation as before.
Then the received data is check by the metadata logical destination but the data is retrieved from the correct server.

  • Mapping Stuck Threads to Proxy Services

    Hello OSB Experts:
Is there a way I can map the information of a thread dump showing stuck threads to the proxy service that those threads are executing?
I am facing a situation that seems to be usual: one of several backends is performing poorly, producing stuck threads in the OSB app. servers. After a while, the performance of the whole OSB is affected because of the number of threads in stuck state.
I would like to be able to pinpoint the backend with problems in order to solve the problem before the health of the whole OSB is affected.
Can this be done without 3rd party tools?
    Thanks
    Sebastián

No, it is not possible to get the the proxy service name from the thread dump. The OSB stuff is handled under a weblogic wrapper thread.
One of the main reason for stuck threads is some of the proxy service calls taking a lot of time through the business services and there is no appropriate timeout set for the calls on the business service.
You have couple of options to find out the culprit. You can enable tracing on the proxy services and the business services and capture the metrics that should help you find a pattern for the performance. The numbers will help you find which backend is taking more time.
You can get nmore details on OSB Monitoring @ http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/admin.1111/e15867/monitoring_ops.htm#OSBAG472
Secondly, always set some realistic timeout value (like 30 seconds/60 seconds depending on the sla of the back-end) on the business service. Leaving it to default (that is 0) is like configuring a indefinite timeout (in which case it uses the default weblogic connection timeout setting of 10/15 minutes).
This way the threads are not stuck waiting for the response and dont cause issues.
Additionally you use OSB alerts to notify you for service behavior discrepancies w.r.t response times, number of errors etc .. Refer http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/admin.1111/e15867/monitoring_console.htm#CACDCDAH for more details.
    Hope this information helps.
    Thanks,
    Patrick

  • Service Account in Proxy Service

I have two Proxy Services A and B.
B is password protected and I have created a Service account in OSB.
    Now, A accesses B.
So, where to configure the Service Account so that A can access B successfully.
    Thank You!

You must configure it in the business service that would point to service B.
For proxy service to proxy service calls you might not be able to use service accounts.

  • OSB example calling multiple business services using a single proxy service???

    Hi,
I have three business services created using http urls i.e.
    1. LoginBS
    2. GetListBS
    3. LogoutBS
My requirement is to get a list of names from GetListBS using a single proxy service and to call GetListBS I have to first call LoginBS then GetListBS i.e. after authentication and then finally logout.
Kindly help with a detailed example for this and I am new to OSB.
    Thanks,
    Vik

    Hi Eric,
Thanks for the response. We figured that it is possible to call multiple services with Split Join. However, we ran into the issue you described. We had a blocking call and had to wait until each of the services returned a response.
However, we needed a Async model for our design and felt that this might not be a right fit.
We are now looking at implementing the publish option with QoS configured as this fits our usecase better. Thanks for the help again.

  • Issue in invoking a proxy service

    Hi,
    This is my problem.
I have a proxy service which works fine ,giving the desired response when I test from OSB console.
But if I try to call the same service from REST client/Java client I get the response as "500 Internal Server Error".
What could be the issue? Please suggest a solution.
    Thanks.

To call restful service from rest client try the below.
    Its working for me..

  • OSB- Any Soap type Proxy service URL issue.

    Hi,
There is an issue which i am facing and stuggling with it for sometime :(
Requirement - Using OSB 11g i had created 12 different services based on WSDLs provided by the client and all of them are working fine. However the client wanted a OSB router service on top of these 12 services which wil search for a string in the input xml and then route it to the required Proxy service (amongst the 12 services developed).
Problem- I was able to create the router Proxy service which was a Any Soap type of proxy service as i didnot have a WSDL for the router service. The router service is working fine when we test it from the OSB console.
When We tried to test the flow from SOAPUI (we used the WSDL of one of the 12 webservices developed and modified the uri to the uri of the router service ie. http://hostname:port/router/routerProxy) and it does not work.
The error returned is ERROR 404 nothing found by this name.
As The router proxy is a Any Soap kind of service i do not have the option of providing the client with the WSDL.
I would want to know how to i call this router service from an external source like SOAPUI so that the client is able to hit it.Also what would be the end point uri of this router service ?
    Kindly Help

  • Propagating Error from Split join to Calling Proxy Service

    Hi All,
In our project we are calling a split join service, from a Proxy Service, which in turn calls another Proxy Service.
    i.e:
    Proxy Service1 (PS1) <-> SplitJoin Service (SjS) <-> Proxy Service2 (PS2)
    Requirement:
All the service calls are two way service calls and local protocol is being used. When an error occurs in PS2 we need to propagate the error with detailed error details to the PS1 via the SjS in order to achieve the following
    1. Achieving rollback of the Transaction
    2. Logging the detailed error report of PS2 in PS1
    Issue:
But we are not getting the detailed error in the PS1. On further analysis we found dat the fault variable in the split join is empty in its error handling flow.
We have used reply with error activity in PS2 to propagate the fault to the split join and reply with soap fault option in split join to propagate the fault to the PS1.
We need to propagate the detailed report as error only, in order to achieve the rollback. So kindly suggest me the ways to get the detailed error report in PS1? i.e: getting the detailed error report of PS2 in split join fault variable and propagating the same to PS1.
    Regards,
    Balaji R

    Balaji,
Try to enable Execution and Message(Terse Level) Tracing for the OSB services to see where fault message is going
    and
In PS2 try with Reply with Success.
as Reply with failure returns the fault variable back and Reply with success will send the content of (PS2)$body back as a response and then u can capture the fault from faulted body and send it to PS1.

  • How to call a text FTP proxy service from a Java client ?

    Greetings,
I've configured a text FTP proxy service which downloads files from a FTP server. It pols a directory on the FTP server and, as soon as a file respecting a given pattern apears it is downloaded. I tested the service in the test console and by putting some test files onto the FTP server. Now, I need to be able to test it from a Java client. How may I do that ? I need to write a Java client to connect to the OSB and to tell to it to use the FTP proxy in order to download a given file, from a given location and to put it in a given location on the client machine. Many thanks in advance for any help. A sample would be great !
    Kind regards,

Ok, I understand. The crucial question here is "what is a caller that you refer to?"
Don't get me wrong, but the problem here is that you probably don't understand, what OSB is good for. OSB is an event-driven system. The event in your case is a new message in remote FTP server. You have to define what should happen when that event is fired. And that's all. You don't have to involve other client (or caller) for this case.
You should define your FTP proxy to retrieve all relevant files from FTP server and then you should route them based on their name/content/encoding/whatever to different consumers. You can also have many proxies if you want - one for each name. It's up to you. But you don't have any "callers" in either case.

  • ALSB Proxy Service error calling Business service

I have an external webservice on Weblogic 8.1 SP5, and I configured Business Service in ALSB 2.6, that is able to invoke the external webservice. But When I create Proxy Service based on the existing Business service and try to invoke the proxy service I get "no SOAP Action Header" error in WebLogic 8.1 SP5 External webservice.

    Also I get
    com.bea.wli.sb.pipeline.PipelineException in the ALSB.
Is it a known issue ?

The back end service basically complains the SOAPAction http header was not included in the request. Typically this header is added automatically by ALSB if the proxy is of type SOAP and the wsdl contain the SOAPAction value for the operation invoked.
Alternatively you can force the SOAPAction header to be set to the correct value by adding a transport header action in the request part of the routing node.
