Issue in using the OATS
Hello
I have recently installed the OATS into my system , we have the application developed in Oracle 10g , it have several forms we linked it to Java applet and to access this we have java imitator so that we can use it as web based application.
At now we want to test the Load testing and Functional testing of the application is it possible through this tool .
can any one suggest me is this tool is work for my application?

Hi,
I have used OATS for testing testing Oracle Applications using forms. When you say ' java imitator' I presume you mean JInitiator.
Please take a look at my white paper which discusses this.

It is a little out of date, but should give you the concepts (and using Java console is still applicable).

Has anyone seen any issues with using the output redirection character with newer NXOS versions?
Am receiving "Error 0x40870004 while copying."
Simply copying a file from bootflash to tftp is ok.
This occurs for both 3CDaemon and Tftpd32 softwares.
Have tried it on multiple switches - same issue.
Any known bugs?

TFTP put operation was successfulPlease check with new version of TFTPD 32 server. The error may be due to older version of TFPT server, the new version available solved this error. Files are getting uploaded with no issues.
1. Download tftpd32b.zip from:
http://tftpd32.jounin.net/tftpd32_download.html
2. Copy the tftpd32b.zip file into an empty directory and extract it.
3. Copy the file you want to transver into the directory containing tftpd32.exe.
4. Run tftpd32.exe from that directory. The "Base Directory" field should show the path to the directory containing the file you want to transfer.
At this point, the tftpserver is ready to begin serving files. As devices request files, the main tftpd32 window will log the requests.

Issues in using the fm "GUI_DOWNLOAD"
Hi Group,
I am using the fm "GUI_DOWNLOAD" in an output program.
The issue is that, I was trying to call the output program in two different ways, 1)using the report 'RSNAST00' and 2)thru the tcode 'VF02' and specifying the output type & Transmission medium. In both the cases, same code will get executed.
while using the report 'RSNAST00', I was not facing issues with the fm 'GUI_DOWNLOAD' but when generating the output through the tcode 'VF02', I was getting an exception 'CONTROL_FLUSH_ERROR' (sy-tabix = 21 - of the fm). the behaviour is strange, once it worked fine and now, there are issues.
Kindly provide me your valuable inputs on this.

There is no solution for this, you cannot have GUI interactions(nor any statements that might invoke a implicit/explicit commit) in a V2 update. When you say this worked, did you have update debugging enabled, if so then it might have worked as the debugger session can access GUI...
If the whole idea/need of this output is to download a file, use OPEN DATASET, TRANSFER and CLOSE DATASET.
Even for the RSNAST00 execution, i am sure that in the actual business scenario(in production) this would be scheduled as a background job, where in again "GUI_DOWNLOAD" wouldn't work.

Issue with using the archive/deploy feature in CF10
Hello, I have created a backup archive using the archive wizard under the packaging and deployment wizard. This archive is from the parent instance and shows everything that I need to backup in the summary window properly, when I try to deploy this archive to a child instance I notice a few of the settings do not migrate over. For example I did a deploy and noticed the mail, web services settings did not migrate over properly, they don't even show up in the summary window pre deploy. If I try to manually add those options in the child instance I receive a generic error and it kicks me back out to the CF Admin login window. Anyone run into an issue like this before?
So I tried to create an archive file where only the mail settings were selected and named it mail.car from the parent instance. The migration windows shows only mail settings have been chosen but when I chose to migrate that archive back into a child instance it still fails to carry over the mail server. This is odd because in the deploy summary window it does show mail settings is being migrated yet the setting never actually does show up correctly.

Issues with using the system restore discs from Acer
I am trying to restore an Acer laptop using the restore CD's that I ordered from Acer. Everything works fine until the restore gets to 93% copy progress and 24% copying progress and then the restore locks up. I have tried it 3-4 times with the same issue happening each time. Any ideas?

The system is locking in the same place of the restore every time. I feel this may be an issue with the hard drive and therefore I feel it will be necessary to replace it. Does this sound like and accurate assumption?

Performance issue when using the same query in a different way

Issues in using the GLMAST01 idoc type

I am using the LSMW to upload the GL master records using the IDOC method. I am using the IDoc type as GLMAST01. I am passing the following data. I am not able to post the IDoc with following data. Please tell me, is there anything I am missing here or there is something else because of which I am getting the results?
In E1SKA1M, I am passing the values for SAKNR, KTOPL, KTOKS, XBLIK, VBUND, BILKT.
In E1SKATM, I am passing the values for SPRAS, TXT20 and TXT50.
In E1SKB1M, I am passing the values for BUKRS, WAERS, FSTAG.
In some cases, I am creating the multiple segments for E1SKATM and E1SKB1M segments.
This is kind of getting urgent and I could not find the answers for this in any other post on SDN. Please help.

There is no solution for this, you cannot have GUI interactions(nor any statements that might invoke a implicit/explicit commit) in a V2 update. When you say this worked, did you have update debugging enabled, if so then it might have worked as the debugger session can access GUI...
If the whole idea/need of this output is to download a file, use OPEN DATASET, TRANSFER and CLOSE DATASET.
Even for the RSNAST00 execution, i am sure that in the actual business scenario(in production) this would be scheduled as a background job, where in again "GUI_DOWNLOAD" wouldn't work.

Security issues when using the file adapter
I want to use the file adapter, and in the documentation it states that you can use "directories" and "ftp".
I want to transfer a file secure and both of these options are not really secure.
Directory reading is not really secure when you read files from a windows share (SMB protocol).
Is it possible to make a share more secure in a windows environment?
In an ftp session everybody can steal the password. Is there a possibility to use "sftp"? Or will this be available?Currently we dont have, but we will have it soon.

The issue with using the multiple columns sub-query in WHERE clause

my database version is 10.2.
the problem i am trying to deal with is that when I use multiple column sub-query in the WHERE clause of the SELECT statement, the actual row number returned from the sub-query is different from the whole statement.
And what I found is that, whenever there is NULL in any of those columns returned from the SUB-QUERY, the outer query will just return NULL for that whole row.
Here is an example:

As you discovered, INTERSECT treats NULL as a value, but IN does not.
What you did with NVL is one way to handle the situation. If there was a chance that any of the columns could be NULL, then you might prefer something like this:

This is implicitly converting the NUMBERs. That's usually not a good thing to do. but explicitly converting them would make this even more tedious.
You should explicitly convert any DATEs to strings, however. Depending on your default format, and your data, you might get away with implicit conversions even for DATEs, but don't bet on it.
If you had to do this often, you might consider writing a user-defined function:
delimited_string (empno, ename, job, mgr, hiredate, sal, deptno) would return a string like
'7839~KING~PRESIDENT~~17-NOV-1981~5000~10'
This will make the coding easier, but beware: it will make the execution slower. -
Issue with using the Mercury Playback Engine in Hardware Accel mode on the new Mac Pro
So I have seen many people with this same issue but different variations... I have a late 2013 mac pro with the D300 video card. when i am editing a project and turn on hardware acceleration (open CL) everything works fine, its super fast i can export etc... BUT when I close the project and try to re open it premiere locks up every time, not getting past the opening screen. I then have to open the project on my macbook pro and go in to settings and turn off the hardware acceleration to software only, then re save the project file. THEN i can open the project back on my Mac Pro...
Macbook Pros do not have separate graphics cards — they are soldered onto the logic board and not interchangeable or replaceable. You can order the cards that are offered, no others. I have no idea whether or not Premiere likes any of them.

How do I filter photos using the keyword hierarchy?
Since Aperture 3.1 came out, I've been taking another look at it and considering switching back from Lightroom. One baby step was to set up a proper keyword hierarchy with Aperture. Trying to use that for sorting photos, I started feeling incredibly frustrated and felt like I must be missing something screamingly obvious.
Here's my issue. Using the keyword HUD, I can set up a nested, hierarchical keyword list. The HUD helpfully displays a running tally of all photos that keyword is applied to. "Great!" I thought, I've got 46 photos of John Smith, let's take a look at them. So I click on the number. Apparently, while Aperture is happy to show you the number of photos with the keyword, it's not willing to take you to those photos (i.e., create a library filter and show the results) via the Keyword HUD.
Bringing up the filter HUD seems unhelpful for the opposite reason. While you can search via the keywords there, it doesn't show the keyword hierarchy! Am I missing something? Say I've got keywords for two people, Adam and Zoe, filed under People/Friends/. Using the keyword box in the filter HUD will list one at the beginning and the other at the end of my entire list of keywords. Worse, the filter HUD only seems helpful for keywords if you know which ones you're looking for, which defeats the point of using a hierarchy. If, say, I know there's 3 or 4 people I'm looking for under a particular category, but I can't remember their name of the top of my head, how do I go about finding them using the filter HUD? All I have is the long, uncategorized master list of keywords.
Again, I feel I must be missing something obvious. Thanks for your help.
Cheers.I agree, clicking on a keyword in the HUD that has a number after it to get those photos seems like a no brainer. Even though I know it doesn't do that I still find myself clicking on it before I catch myself. Need to send feedback to Apple on this, clicking on a keyword should create a filter to and display those images.
In your example the images of Adam and Zoe should be tagged with the keywords that apply to them. That is they would have the keywords people, friends, male or female, Adam or Zoe, and whatever other keywords you use to describe these images. Then you check as many keywords in the filter that apply and you can remember.
While the keyword HUD shows the keywords in a hierarchy, keywords applied to an image are one dimensional, linear. Its just a string of words without structure. The hierarchy is just there to make it easier to conceptualize the structure. -
Issue with use of Function Module GUI_UPLOAD
Hi Experts,
I have an issue in using the Function Module GUI_UPLOAD for uploading the contents of an Excel file on the Presentation Server to an internal table in an ABAP Program.
My file consists of around 300 records but the FM succeeds in uploading only the first 6 lines to the Internal Table specified while calling the FM.
I dont have any idea why this happens. Any pointers in this direction will be helpful.

Error using the test console of the Oracle Service Bus 11gR1
Hi I am facing a an issue while using the test console of the Oracle Service Bus 11gR1 .
Every time I try to execute a business service or a proxy service I end up getting the following message.
Error Accessing Test Configuration
*"Test Console" service is not running. Contact administrator to start this service.*
In fact to add to my frustration I am unable to execute any of my proxy services from outside clients like SOAPUI as well.
Is anyone else facing this too ??
Also every time the server starts I can see some diagnostic error messages on my Eclipse console.
*[ERROR] AdapterManager - ServletContainerAdapter manager not initialized correctly.*

NitinI guess till version 10gr3.1 you only needed to start one server and it allowed to access both admin and service bus console.Yes, in 11g as well you may access the admin and OSB console by just starting the admin server but in 11g OSB configuration gets deployed on OSB server (managed server) and test service also runs over this server.
Are you saying there is some other server I need to start just for running the test console ????Yes. Managed server osb_server1 needs to be started for deploying, testing and accessing OSB resources.
As If the OSB server was not running how can I check my published services, modify them and do all the bits and pieces after opening the open the service bus console but not just test them???You can modify and save your configuration without staring OSB server but if you will check in change centre then all the changes being done without starting OSB server will remain in partially activated state.
I have been using the service bus for 3 years and I have never faced any such issue.With each new release you may get new features and with a major release like 11g, architecture and functionality may change.
If it all there is some other server I need to start then whats the process to do so ??Open command prompt. Navigate to $Domain_Home/bin and run command
startManagedWeblogic.cmd <nameOfManagedServer>
for eg. -
D:\OFMW11g\mw\user_projects\domains\ofmw_domain\bin>startManagedWebLogic.cmd osb_server1
Once this server is up and running, try using test console.

So, I intend on moving to the Czech Republic, and have pretty much decided on buying the next version of the Macbook Pro (depending on how the prices are, anyway). I know that the laptop can take the voltages in Europe and that all I need is the plug adapter. My question is whether there is any kind of a special adapter, or if I can just use any kind that is for general use. Also, since I plan on staying there permanently, are there any issues with using the adapter for a prolonged time?
Also, the DVD region is different. But reading though some of the other topics, I could probably just use the VLC Player to play them.
I decided to buy one here because it would be about 800 bucks cheaper, but I do have look even more into whether I have to pay any import taxes. So if anyone happens to know anything in regards to this, but I doubt anyone will.
