Issue on authorization object

hi all,
in me52n transaction, in account assignment tab there is field called costcenter. its field name is kostl and strucutre is cobl. now i have requirement to create an authorization object on this costcenter. that is for example , if i try to make any changes in the cost center field it should allow me to do it. but if some others are using it should not allow them to make any changes. plz let me know the solution how to do step by step. points will be awarded . this is urgent requirement. plz reply fast.

Hi deniz,
Use this to set up the autherisation object
      AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT '<objectname>'
                      ID 'ID FIELD SY-UNAME.
      IF SY-SUBRC NE 0.
        MESSAGE S999 WITH 'You are not Authorised to change entries'.
        EXIT.
      ENDIF.
Inform the Basis team to assign the role only to ur id...so that no other person wil u autherized

Issue with authorization objects

Hi,
We are running on ECC 6 . There is an issue while adding t-codes to a role.
When we add a transaction code in the Menu tab, for eg, a Z transaction code, it throws up a whole lot of open authorization objects under the authorization tab (open authorizations under FI, MM, so on). The open values proposed are all the default values in SU24. This happens even if we use the 'Read old status and merge with the new'. Our check indicator maintenance for all t-codes seem to be fine. Pls advise.

They are populated again if they were deleted during the earlier maintenance or are in a changed status of the original authorization where new values in SU24 are proposing something different.
That is why you should never delete standard or maintained authorizations and try to avoid the copy & change strategy by maintaining SU24 to meet your needs.
It shounds like SU24 is not as "fine" as you have stated before hand.

Need authorization object to update my authorization

Dear SDN's,
When i am double click to view the data sourse it is giving message
"You have no authorization for data source "
"You require authorization for the authorization object for the data source DW workbench - data source (Release>BW 3.X) wih the filed values stated above and activity 4 "
For the above authorization issue
which authorization object is required for updating my authorization ?

Issue with context specific authorization object P_ORGINCON.

Hello Experts,
The context specific authorization object doesn't evaluate the
structural profile it is assigned to when more than one structural
authorization is assigned to a user.
Please read the below scenario for issue description as follows:
User ZHR_ACT13 is assigned two roles namely ZHR_HRD and ZHR_DEPT_HEAD.
He is the manager for employee ID 167 and is not the manager of employee ID 17.
Role ZHR_HRD has no read/write authorization for Infotype 6. ZHR_HRD is also assigned to structural authorization ALL which is meant for viewing all the objects with no restriction of any relationship.
Role ZHR_DEPT_HEAD has read authorization for infotypes 6 for only the subordinates i.e. the structural authorization ZDEPT_HEAD of viewing only the subordinates data is assigned to this role. Also this structural authorization ZDEPT_HEAD is assigned to infotype 6 using
authorization object P_ORGINCON.
But now the manager ZHR_ACT13 is able to read infotype 6 data for employee ID 17 who is not his subordinate even though only structural authorization ZDEPT_HEAD is assigned to infotype 6 using P_ORGINCON. We
expect that user ZHR_ACT13 must be able to read infotype 6 data only for employee ID 167 and not for employee ID 17.
Please kindly help resolve this issue.

Authorization object & Business operation for issue permit & reject permit

Hi all,
I have created a new notification type (copied from PM) and have assigned tasks to the notification. In this notification i wanted to use the icons issue permit and reject permit for certain users (but not for all). So i need to provide the business operations to the basis guy to attach it for the specified roles.
I am not able to find these business operations.
Any help on the above would be highly appreciated.

Sorry u can not control the authorization bcoz above object not works for notification also there is no business operation in notification to control the approval or rejection of permit.
U have to use the user status by which u can control the approval or rejection of permit.

Issue while creating Authorization Object

Hi,
I am in the processing of creating Power user roles. Everything seems to be working fine. But when I am trying to assign the Authorization object which is on 0PLANT its not giving me the proper results. I have followed the below process:
1) Created a Authorization object on 0PLANT and provided one plant value (eg ABC) under Value Authorizations.
2) Created a role and assigned this authorization object. Assigned this newly created role to Power User.
3) Created a report and executed with power user ID.
When I executed the report with power user ID I am expecting to see only ABC plant value. But here in my case I am able to see all the plant values.
Can somebody help me.

please refer to SAP note [1151136|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1151136] that provides some helpful information how to use BAPIs in RE-FX.
Furthermore I would suggest to try out the following:
- Create a rental object manually with CO settlement rule
- Use BAPI_RE_RO_GET_DETAIL to read the data
- Check the fields that are filled for structures for CO settlement and check if you have filled the fields for BAPI_RE_RO_CREATE the same way.

Analysis Authorization Object not working

Hi Gurus,
I m working on BI 7.0, I have created an analysis authorization object zz_div for 0DIVISION characteristic.
For a given report i want a given user to view only data for '32' and '33' 0DIVISION.
I have followed the below steps but still the report shows all data instead of restricted one.
1)RSECADMIN -> Maintenance ->zz_div ->Create
2) Add 0DIVISION in Auth structure , and in details
I     EQ     32
I     EQ     33
3) Add 0TCAIPROV with I     EQ     0SD_C03
4) Add 0TCAACTVT, 0TCAKYFNM, 0TCAVALID, this having details as
I     CP     *
5) Then in User tab -> Assignment -> User -> Change-> Inserted ZZ_DIV-> Save
6) In Query created a Authorization variable(with no input prompt) and restricted 0DIVISION.
Following are the authorization object in that user's Role (Reporting Only)
S_RFC

S_BDS_D

where the authorization mode is " OLD obsolete Concept With RSR Authorization Objects "

Authorization issue "No authorization"

Dears gurus,
I created an analysis authorization using tx. RSECADMIN, this contains the IO 0COSTCENTER restricted with some value, and also contains the IO: 0TCAACTVT, 0TCAIPROV, 0TCAVALID. When I assigned it to a role using tx. PFCG. But when the query is executed it appears the following message: "No authorization". Using a trace tool, it appears to requiere the analysis authorization 0BI_ALL, but if I give this authorization, it doesn't restrict the IO 0COSTCENTER as wanted.
Please let me know what is missing.

Remove 0BI_ALL object fro users profile and try executing as below it should give you the authorization objects values missing ..
goto RSECADMIN >Analysis>Execution as User -->enter the user name you are executing the query
Check box -->with Log option
select RSRT option
hit start transaction button ,it should show you the authoriztion errors with authorization objects missed.
if not
again RSECADMIN>Analysis>Error Logs-->check with the latest time stamp for that particular user and analyse the authorization issues

Hi basis guys........
i am not able to give print request.its showing authorization error
"no authorization for LOCAL PRINTER" and "output could not be issued"
i checked su53 screen. and i assigned that activity in authorization object.
even then its showing authorization problem.
Is there any object to add to get printing ?
and what is "s_gui" object ? is that works?

Hi
Check whether for the user a printer is assigned or not. Only the printer which is assigned to the user in SU01 can be used by the user.
What u can try is assign the Local Printer in default printer for that particular user.
Also if you have assigned the authorization object that was missing then there should not be a problem.

Hi Luis,
You need to create a authorization object with 'sales rep' ou 'sales office' key.
Your commercials are linked with these objects in master data? If no, create the link.
After, in PFCG, create the key, as I said above, and done.

and personnel subarea are Hyd, Bagnlr, Pune , Mumbai, Delhi, Goa...like that. Here the thing is Hyd authorized person has to see only for his area employees payslip only and for rest of the areas he could not able to see...Like that for all sub area wise they want to restrict.

Issue with authorizations for BPS

Hi Experts,
There was an issue with authorizations for BPS. We have a large number of agents that need to enter plan data via a layout. In order to control the necessary authorizations, we would like to filter via something similar to a user exit using a function module in order to avoid having to define authorization objects for each of the agents who have access to the systems. Right now, we are not sure if there is user exit concept available as it is for BW variables. Any body experienced similar issue may share their experience.

Hi,
In BPS, you can use user specific variables or you can set up a Variable of type exit. You can also have a variable of type authorization which uses the security / authorization of the BW system.

Authorization object to display table field names in english text in SE17

Hi,
One of users have issues with the filed name getting displayed in technical format instead of english text while browsing table information in SE17. Normally we can set this in through Settings->User Parameters. But here for this user, user parameter option is greyed out and he doesn't have access to SE16.
Is there any other way to change user specific parameters, instead of granting him accesss to SE16 or enabling user parameters in SE17?

Hi,
I made him run SU53 on SE17 transaction the log is showing that authorization check failed for S_ALV_LAYO with value 23.
Actually i have access SE16 and for me also, user parameter option is greyed out in SE17. I ran SU53 on SE17 in my session i also got same log.
One more observation is, the user's colleague also doesn't have access to SE16 and user parameter option is greyed out in SE17 but he can view the table field names in english. So we are wondering if some authorization object is missing here.
We do not want user to make any changes through GUI.

when i checked in the BW side its working fine.
when i checked the user in the BO side.
filter values are coming correct, but the values in the column are not showing.
